Suzaku Uzumaki

Konohagakure ANBU, codename Fox

Suzaku was travelling at a rapid pace, heading towards the northern borders of The Fire Country. So far, his travel was without anything unusual - people mostly ignored him, as they were being used to see shinobi in this regions often. It all played to his advantage - whatever documents was he carrying, he wanted to avoid rising suspicions. Even so, he was well prepared to defend the documents from any possible attackers. He was slightly interested about the contains of the documents, but if the message was only for the Raikage, than only the Raikage will see it. If he can keep up his current pace, the Raikage will be able to see the documents within a few days. Nodding to himself, he continued to leap from branch to another branch, extending the length of his jumps.

Hours passed quickly and the distance passed even quicker, and as the sun was about to set, Suzaku decided for a quick break at the next post he would encounter. He happened to come across one a while later after he thought about that. It was a small village with a tea house - perfect for a person who wants to avoid raising suspicions. He got there and ordered a tea with some sushi before moving out once again. He took a seat in the corner and remove the cape from his head and went on to quietly enjoy his treats. He blended in perfectly so far." Just a day or two. I should not forget to send a message from The Cloud as soon as I arrive." he murmured to himself. It would not be wise to forget to notify Hisoka-sama. With that though on his mind, he continued with his treat. With a small smile on his lips.

Tsubasa Kokoro

Tsubasa nodded her head as she eyed the bottom of her empty tea cup. "Alright! Meet me at the gate in 20 minutes. Bring gear that won't leave any trace and Yumi...." Tsubasa said pushing her tea cup and kettle toward Ryo. "We need to talk about your abilities. I honestly have no idea what you can do...." She said chuckling slightly and standing up. "I need to grab my breastplate and sword from my flat. Shouldn't take long at all. Probably you should grab your vest anyway, right Katsuko?" Tsubasa said straightening her maroon Guardian shash and nudging Katsuko to move so she could get moving.

The messenger was looking around for where the jounin could be. The messenger self was a low chuunin ranked shinobi. Somebody that was specialised in delivering messages. His target was now Ryo Tetsu. A Jounin with a good record and a member of the Storm Guard. Deciding to look if the said person was inside the headquarters of the Storm Guard. It was just next to the entrance of the Raikage Office. Heading towards the location, the messenger kept his eyes and ears open to see if he could spot Ryo.

Tetsu Ryo

Tetsu was in the SGHQ training hall, meditating. he opened an eye when the messenger approached. receiving the message and dismidsing the chunin with a nod he red the letter.

Tetsu Ryo,

I am in need of a capable jounin that can handle some things. As Kumogakure is growing again underneath my leadership, I think we could try to see if we can organize some more materials and such for the village. That said, I want you to organize a group of around ten shinobi. Of your own choice. Once you have done that, make your way to the border of the Frost and Lightning. Though the Frost is our vassal and we protect them, I want the land border between the two better guarded. The Black Watch patrol could need some more help to maintain a better control over this strip of land.

-The Raikage.

"This should be interesting" he mused to himself for a moment, reading a few more times to make sure he understood correctly. Ten shinobi was doable. the best choice was probably three jonin, three chunin and then genin team, so another jonin and three genin. That way the next generation gets some experience while under the eye of their superiors. perhaps he was leaning unto his own past a bit with that logic, after all he was a genin in the last wars front lines and those weren't his fondest memories. at all. But he had to think of the future of the village as a whole.

He got up and went for some paper, and chunin weren't hard to select. He had to be tactical about it though. teamwork was important but so was the environment. he would have to pick by elemental affinity as well as experience. He had some ideas so he wrote down 5 options. Next were chunin, at least two of them would have to have some experience on team missions. So he wrote down some options but wrote a note to check other options. As for the genin team he would simply ask the Raikage who to bestow the experience on.

With that in mind he narrowed his list of jonin. given that he himself was a water and lighting affinity he picked one experienced fire affinity, one wind and another lightning. this is the hidden cloud village after all. As for the chunin he selected one with a noted proficiency with genjutsu, one for kenjutsu and the final chunin was a new chunin still trying to find his nitch. with this list in hand he went to the raikages office, Knocking and awaiting entry.

Kiyomi Sato-Hon
Konohagakure Jounin,
Team 2.

''Not sure. But we can be prepared just in case. Though I suspect that we'll do fine if we keep the contact with each other. So don't forget about the earphones.'' Was Kiyomi's answer. With her back to the others, as she led them, she couldn't see or notice Hayate's glance to her. Unlike him, she had no worries about this mission. Actually, she wasn't worried at all. In case the target would be more trouble than expected, she could call upon a troublesome summoning as well. It was just more of a mission to notice how the team work was going between the members of Team 2. That made her think.

Both of her students had bloodline abilities. Leo had the Crystal Release of the Hasewaga clan. A versatile and very deadly release. After all, Kiyomi had sparred often against Yumi and the latter was good enough with the Release to counter most of the weaknesses. Hayate wasn't much of a different story. The bloodline ability of the Hyūzu was a most interesting one and Hayate had shown he was more than capable of finding ways to also counter his weaknesses already. There was only one problem to both releases of her students.

That was her.

Both the releases of Hayate and Leo were in theory Earth based. Of course, their bloodline ability gave them an unique one because of their clan, but in the end you could put it under Earth. And while Kiyomi had managed to master an advanced release herself, she only knew how to fight against Earth Release. Neither of her students had Fire nor Lighting. Which made it not really easier. While picking up the pace, Kiyomi started to think about how she would train them, when she didn't had the same release. A light shiver went through Samehada, making Kiyomi frown. ''Hmmm.. We should arrive within two hours. Keep up the pace, Leo. Hayate.''

Mika Hayashi
Kirigakure Jounin,
Team 14

The team was moving and they managed to approach the location of where the the hideout of the bandits would be nearby. The woman looked over her shoulder. The cold tone of Mika was heard as she dished out the orders. ''Its going to be simple. Each of you hide yourself nearby once I have given the order. No questions nor any trouble making. I will lure them away from their hideout and then you three need to ambush them on the signal I had showed before.'' Mika said. She wasn't sure how well her students would follow this order, but she would see soon enough if they were capable of handling a mission like this. Actually, if they were able to handle any mission with taking down somebody.

But as they approached the location, Mika gave them an order. ''Now, hide. You have two minutes to be vanished.'' She told them as she weaved several handseals. The woman with the stern and cold vanished into a summoned poof of smoke. Out of the smoke, Mika was revealed into a more casual set of clothes. It revealed more of her figure, but the cold look in her eyes hadn't changed as she landed on the ground. It was clear that she would lure the bandits with hiding the fact she was a kunoichi of Kirigakure. A quick glance was given to her team, looking if they would scatter and hide as they were told to. Mika then started to jog towards the location of where the hide out would be. Her eyes scanned the surroundings for any hints as she kept listening. Her expertise with the Silent Killing would be her asset against any ambush of the bandits.

Soon enough she heard somebody chuckling. Then some whispering. Leaves rustled, more than should be as there was no breeze. Mika stopped and looked around. The clothing that looked like it was tight against her body made it clear that Mika was breathing faster. At least, she breathed faster, but not because she was scared. She had to give the idea she was scared. It would be like a scent for the bandits to come out and then chase her. ''Wh-Who is there?'' Mika asked, in a wavering tone before laughter erupted from several throats. A bandit jumped out of the bush, trying to grab Mika from her right. It took all Mika's self control to not duck and plunge a kunai into his belly and rip a deep cut, so that his bowels would fall on the ground. More or less she had made a quick 'scared' jump and then started to run. The laughter and noises behind made it clear that the bandits were now chasing her. Making rude jokes and comments about their 'newest prey'. Mika only glanced once over her shoulder, her cold glare as she was looking how much of a distance was between her and the bandits.

Then as she approached the site of where her students were, Mika kept on running. Her eyes narrowed as she suddenly raised her right hand into the air and clenched it into a fist. It was the said sign and a few of the group of bandits became very weary. The most were still trying to catch Mika and a fast one tried to tackle her.

The horrific sound of bones breaking was heard as Mika glared at the group of bandits. The man who had tried to tackle her fell to the ground and didn't move anymore. A hilt was seen in his neck as blood slowly crept out of the wound to the ground. Mika then crossed her arms as she waited for the ambush that her students would perform right in front of the eyes of Mika.

Forest Area Surrounding Shiro and Kuni

With Kuni's jutsu the low walls came crumbling down sending more dust up into the already thick air. Slowly the dust started to settle clearing the tree tops first before starting to make the rest of the forest visable again. When finally the view for the two Genin would be clear they would find themselves in silence.

A deadly silence.

Nothing moved. No breeze of wind made the leaves above their heads twitch, no bird sang their song. There was no sound of moving animals or dripping water. But above all there was no sound of their sensei. The only thing they would hear would be their own breathing in the heavy air that seemed set on choking them. The path lay empty to their left, winding on deeper into the woods, possibly leading to an exit. Before them was only the darkness that had apparantly eaten their teacher.

Haruhi Suzumori
Team 14 Mission 1

Everything was happening so fast that Haruhi had to forget about her doubts in herself and remember everything she had learned at the academy, however, that was a bit easier said than done. As she listened to the orders of her sensei and hid, lying in wait, her mind and heart raced. She had never killed anyone before...but she had to make her decision now. Kill, or be killed. Get rid of the bandits or risk the lives of others who they would attack later on.

Well who am i to decide whos life is worth more? I mean...sure their bad guys but...i couldnt even kill a bug if someone asked me to...how can i be expected to break bone? so here she was again, caught between her belifs that all life is precious and her wanting to protect the lives of those she cares about....and being loyal to her villiage, her sensei, and her team. With a small sigh she thought about her team. Minori-chan and Rai-kun wouldn't care what choice she made here. It was clear they could handle themselves in a situation like this. They probably wouldn't even need her help. She was sure any attempt to try to impress them, or try not to seem weak in their eyes was going to be in vain. In truth, she didnt care wether they thought she was weak or not really. In the end, she couldn't do it for them.

Still watching her sensei, she saw her teacher dash off and began to be persued by a large handful of bandits. Her sensei seemed to be just like her other teammates. She just looks...fowl. Always with that frown on her face. Like it would kill her to smile. Haru thought silently. Although her sensei was here to help turn the three of them into better shinobi, Haru had a feeling that trying to impress her was going to be impossible. ....So where did that leave her? She had no other real reason to take out these bandits other than it being her "orders" and boy did she hate that word. She had to keep her room in "order" she had to put her shoes at the door in the proper "order" and now she had to "FOLLOW ORDERS"? Her defiant nature made her scowl with the thought of having someone boss her around just because they could. No, she couldnt do it for that reason either. A reason to take anothers life had to mean more to her than that. It had to be selfish. It had to be because she knew it would benefit her. This was all about becoming stronger. Being a better shinobi than she was now. Maybe if she told herself that for this reason she had to kill....may she could do it.

That was when she saw Hayashi-sensei raise her hand. Now was the time to act.

During this time she had her hand clasped tightly with that of a shadow clone she had made upon finding a good hiding space. Her chakra swirled around their hands and binded together, making a rope of sorts made of lightning. She was preparing a technique she had only practiced on rabbits and trees, but she was confident it would work. She could prabably get two or three of those bandits caught in it at the most, seeing as she was still trying to perfect the technique. It was to her understanding that with more practice she could eventually learn to slice through objects with this, but she was a long ways away from that kind of power. For now, she could simply bind. So, she waited until her sensei's hand clenched into a fist, then she sprung forward. Her hand seperated from her clones and a line of lightning, about rope thick, spread out between them.

"Lightning Cable Jutsu." she said as she ran in a circle around the bandits. It was no surprise to her a few of them leapt away and escaped the range of her jutsu, but she did manage to grasp three in her efforts. Haru connected opposite hands with her clone and it turned to cover her back as she held the three of the bandits with both hands. Their movements were now restricted and this was a chance for one of her teammates or her sensei to do what they pleased with them. She couldn't help but smile. "Time to dance."

Mia Inuzuka - Team 9

Mia would have nodded in acknowledgement or replied through the ear piece but that was difficult if not impossible to do when your spinning at high speed. There was one thing she could do, and that was to whistle to signal to her Ninkun the change of plan. Mia and her ninkun were going mostly by scent alone as it was hard to see when spinning in mid air.

The two wolves hit the side of the turtle while Mia hit the back of the turtle in an attempt to flip the turtle over onto its back. After the attack hit both her and her two Ninkun jumped back into the trees to observe the situation and to let Masami paralyse the turtle if needed.

Harumi Uchiha,
Konohagakure ANBU,

A Paper in the sand.

Part II

The watch didn't noticed anything. All what he saw before the darkness crept on him was the desert, in the night. Scratching his chin, was his last act before he gasped for air. He was being overwhelmed and wasn't able to scream for help or to warn the others. Trying to move is arms also became harder. In a rapid speed, paper spread over his body, exerting a tight grip over his body. Like it was a constrictor snake that was trying to crush his whole body. The last thing he heard was one single footstep before the darkness took him.

The same would befall to the other watches. There were three in total and Harumi had little problem to take them out. Taking out a kunai, she looked around. The rustling sound of paper wasn't that loud as Harumi knelt beside the man who had just been overwhelmed by paper. It was seen that he was still struggling at the jutsu that had taken him by surprise. Blood stained the paper and slowly the sand as well. The paper wrapped itself around the kunai, after it had made some room for it. Then as the man stopped moving, the paper moved back to Harumi. It looked like it transformed itself into smaller parts of her as she still was knelt down. With no foe awake, she could conduct her mission better.

A hour later.

Damned desert. Harumi panted. The sun was slowly getting up and she noticed the rise of the temperature. But at least her prisoner wasn't able to do much. Though she let him breath, he couldn't call for help or move. The paper kept him in place as she moved back, out of the desert. ''Just shut up. I don't like this either. You smell of something rotten.'' Harumi sneered. She had lost her patience with the fact the man still tried to break free. It was pointless as she had made sure her jutsu wouldn't fail her. She had after all placed a standard ANBU sealing technique on the captured Jounin. Looking over her shoulder, she was sure that nobody would follow her. How could they?

Dead people can't follow the living after all.

Katsuko Moto

Though it was not a demeaning action, Katsuko found it that Tsubasa seemed to be almost babying him by wiping his face. He could appreciate the fact it was helpful and he probably looked a bit silly beforehand, but it made his cheeks flush red, as well as his eyes. Perhaps not for the reason most would naturally assume. But he quickly calmed down when she explained what the mission would be. Sounds like a good exercise, he thought to himself as he examined the faces of his team. It was a bit different without Kensuke, but Katsuko already imagined that Yumi would fit in just fine and it would become the new 'normal' with her around. "I can use my eyes just fine. If we need someone incapacitated, I can do it," Katsuko confirmed, in regards to his Chikaroatoshi. As they prepared to leave and Tsubasa gave him a bit of a nudge, Katsuko started to chuckle. "Getting my vest back is a fight I don't think we have time for," he explained with a grin, like he was remembering something funny. But he still nodded. "I'll just get a new one before we head out."

Rini Yoto
Team Amekage.

Rini glanced in the mirror. Her eyes were looking at the reflection and frowned. The serious glance caused her nose to wrinkle as she was clearly not amused with something. Brushing a lock of blond hair back, Rini then decided it wouldn't really matter. She was geared up and ready. With that thought, she went to grab her raincoat. In a dramatic sense, the young girl turned around as she got dressed. The coat fluttered by the movement of Rini, who looked with a cool look in the mirror. A smile played over her lips as she found it funny how she already saw herself. High on top of a hill and then...

Falling.

Rubbing her head, Rini got up. She had been daydreaming while walking off a staircase. Getting up slowly, the young girl bite her lower lip. She had worked hard to graduate and today she would be assigned to a team. A team that would be led by somebody that carried the name Ryoku. The same name of the current Amekage. Rini wasn't sure if it was the same man, but if it was, she wasn't sure if that was a blessing or a curse. She knew the rumours that Ryoku was a just man that was reforming Amegakure. Already being part of the Fire Union, Rini wasn't sure if that was a really just move. Maybe he was a harsh and cruel man, only letting rumours spread about him being fair. Some leaders did that. Like the previous Amekage and if she had to believe the gossip, the previous Jounin Commander. The mind of the little girl started to daydream, but Rini bite her lower lip again. No, she had to f-

She tripped.

Not even having reached the door and she had fallen flat on her face. Twice! Cursing softly her clumsiness, Rini got up again. Her cheeks turned red as tomato's as she opened the door. She had the feeling a lot of people somehow knew she had fallen on her face, twice. But with an air of grace and dignity she walked out of her home, closing the door behind her. The green eyes had a flicker of light in them, the glint revealing she was excited to meet her team. No matter how the person would be that would be her sensei. Maybe her team members were nice people?

Deciding to not try to day dream too much, came too late.

''Auw!''

Rini felt the cold, wet stones against her cheek. Embarressed, she tried to get up quickly, before falling again. She fell on back and already could imagine people to laugh at her. But it was worse, they just ignored her. Getting up, Rini tried to act like nothing happened. But a store keeper came walking out. He had a smirk on his face, though his tone was worried. ''Are you alright, little girl?'' He asked. The smirk was still present on his lips. A smirk. Rini clenched her right hand for a moment. He thought she was weak. But she wasn't weak. She was a kunoichi of the Rain.

One that kept falling.

Timidly, she nodded as she looked away. Her cheeks flaming red as she decided to run. Run towards the meeting point. The store keeper grumbled something as he walked out of the rain. The lights of the streets, illumanting the way of Rini almost made her daydream. But she would focus now. Today she wouldn't fall again on her face. Today was a day of chance. Today,

*Splons!*

I hate... This.... so... much.

Rini had almost reached the field. It was just in sight and she could see two persons. What if that were her team members? What if they had noticed her fallen on her face? Getting up, she clenched her fist. A plan formed up in her mind. She wouldn't stutter. She wouldn't shut down, thus not able to show her strength. No, she would be acting without fear and with confidence! With a face, red as a tomato, she neared the person that stood in the middle of the field. Opening her mouth, she then lowered her head.

Instead of saying her name, Rini whispered something that couldn't be heard as normal words. Just some gibberish sound that made no sound. Realizing this, Rini tried to look up again, but failed as she had the feeling the first impression was already a failure. This caused her to just stand there, her head lowered in defeat. Today...

Was going to suck.

Tetsu ryu
Kumo storm guard mission

After gaining permission Tetsu assembled his team near the village southern entrance. The jonin were prompt and much to his surprise so were the genin. It was the three chunin he had to wait for but the wait was not long at all. Once everyone had gathered he proceeded to lay out the mission.

“you have been selected for this mission with your experience and potential in mind. It is our mission to patrol and insure the security of the lighting-frost border. While monitoring the borders activities are out primary objective settling any and all border conflicts that may arrive is also our mission. We must do so with the pride of the Village on our minds. If a hostile situation does arise we will face it swiftly. If you have any reservations, any concerns and inhibitions I suggest you reconcile with them on our journey to the border. Unity and team work are key as a shinobi, just as important as any jutsu. Remember that, now… Genin you are taking point as we travel south West.

Tetsu spoke with a firm yet calm authority, establishing himself as the capable leader most knew him to be. The genin however didn’t seem to be used to such a dynamic. One raised their hand “sir, apologies, but why is this mission 11 members instead of three?”

Tetsu smirked “we can discuss that as we travel. We don’t have time to waste” After they departed he answered the Genin’s question “this is a large team because, in short, its not a normal mission. The border is extremely important and cannot be defended my several individual squads. Instead there is a unit that oversees it. we are joining that Unit in a sense on a temporary basis and as we defend our country you should be learning” he didn’t identify what any of the genin should be learning. Much to their frustration.

Shizuka Nadra
| Kumogakure |

“Would I be correct in guessing that?”

Mako’s perception was sound, Nadra nodding in addition to replying to the inquiry. “Yes.”

Though, she did find it curious how a genin like Kato would have helped at all in the events that preceded the present, especially enough to make an off-hand comment to her in particular about it. Did he need to assert that he had been helpful in the past? She didn’t understand it, but if she was curious enough to voice such thoughts it would have to be done at a better time as the training request from their jonin-sensei was at hand and she definitely should not distract more of her attention. It was then that Nadra intently watched Kato’s tactical forwardness as he went second after Muto Tahekiko.

“I think it is Nadra’s turn.” Mako huffed as he finished his battle, the white-haired girl nodding in mild reply.

“Shizuka Nadra. Your turn.”

The voice of her jonin-sensei did not create a sense of dread, fear, or nervousness in the young genin as she nodded as she took a step forward. Such sense were not reminiscent of a ninja from the clan of Shizuka and this was a blatant fact that the girl embodied as her brows narrowed. Even with her short conversation with her teammate, Daiki Kato, Nadra’s eyes had been noting over each individual duel with her sensei’s shadow clone which brought interesting results as both of her genin teammates took on the offensive which made their energy at the end of it rather tapped, almost pointlessly so in her eyes.

“Right.”

Moving her hands in a defensive stance she attempted to perceive how to provoke the shadow clone to come to her rather than coming to it and wasting her reserves. Nadra kept silent as she began to at a distance circle the shadow clone, though all that did was make the clone itself rotate and watching the girl as it was perhaps used to the genin to charge in so Nadra’s more seemingly defensive tactic was different to say the least. As she bided her time she began to move her chakra forward quickly and efficiently in her body. It did not take long for her jonin-sensei’s shadow clone to change tactics to adapt, of which Nadra believed a good tactic was to use was to use Bunshin no Jutsu mixed with Kawarimi no Jutsu and flanking the shadow clone of her sensei from there with a strong swift motion of variable taijutsu strikes with her chakra infusing each strike. “It could work.” She thought about the tactic she had devised, knowing full well her sensei was more experienced and wiser at that so it wouldn’t be so blatantly simple.

She didn’t have much time.

Moving her hands in the appropriate hand-signs, Nadra went to work and in a puff half-a-dozen Nadra’s were now on the field and through some movement the original, non-clone, was no longer where she was in the first place. If she happened to be struck instead of her clones a chunk of log would be struck instead of her and then she would strike as she had planned—if one of her clones alternatively would’ve been struck she would ignore the replacement jutsu step of her tactic.

The shadow clone moved forward and did as she thought—changing from defensive to offensive and as she thought her true form was not well-concealed enough from their perception; it was a good thing she planned for that and as she jumped back with great dexterity more attacks from the shadow clone kept coming in of which Nadra was dodging well-enough until about the fifth strike at her defense of which her form flickered and the chunk of wood from the nearby forest was struck in her place. It was here that—from the shadow clone’s flank she came in with a powerful spinning low kick, also known as Kumo Reppū, a technique that was created by her father after he had fought ninja from the Hidden Leaf Village and developed it as an emulation. It was pretty much exactly like the Leaf Gale, except Nadra knew the technique. Surprisingly, the blow landed and the shadow clone dispersed as in mid-air his head caught a nearby tree with great force—perhaps only been supplied with enough energy to take a certain amount of blows or even just one? Tahekiko did take it down rather quickly himself after the shadow clone kept up with his strikes for the most part. Nadra did not trust it, either way, and felt a sense of caution would be best from here on. However, unlike Tahekiko she took this calmly and without and air of overconfidence as her eyes moved to her sensei while her ears kept alert for any other attacks—the shadow clone could’ve tricked her into victory. Though when no flanking occurred she walked over to the line and bowed to her sensei with respect. It was only then that she dispersed the remaining clones she had held on the field.

“I anticipate the next one, jonin-sensei.”

Satoshi Jun,
Kumogakure Specialized Jounin | Team 3

Satoshi nodded. He noticed that the girl had noticed kind of what he was more of hoping to see. So far, both of the boys had went in with a charge. Though nothing wrong with that. However, he found the way of Nadra a bit more positive. She actually had managed to lure the clone out of his defensive and surprise him. And with that surprise took him down. In a faster way than the other two. Nodding, Satoshi looked with a serious expression. ''All three of you did well, but I do hope you will realize that its often smarter and safer to observe. Though going first to draw attention is wise, so that the other can set up a trap,'' He glanced at the two boys before turning to Nadra. ''I hope that luring them out is also a way to take them out. In other words, always try to be cautious and try to learn what your foe is capable off. Surprise can be a great weapon as many shinobi use that. But now that is done, I think that I've seen enough from you to think what would be useful for you to train. All three of you use taijutsu. That said, you will rely greatly on reflexes, speed and strength. Though,'' Satoshi now glanced back at Nadra, the girl in the team. ''Agility can be a good substitute for strength. After all, if you can't be hit then you're alright.'' A smile appeared on his lips as he had formed his next training.

''Okay, last training of today. I want each of you to hide yourself. And don't worry Kato, we're not going to fight each other just like that. Now I want to see some teamwork of you three. I will remain here and I'll give each of you five full minutes to form an ambush up ahead. Communicate with each other. Also, use what you have seen from each other before.'' Satoshi instructed. He wonder if they would pay heed to his previous words. That it would be wise to observe and learn what somebody else could. So far, he had shown that he could use Earth Release, chakra flow and was good at taijutsu. But he had several tricks upon his sleeve. It made him wonder if it would be fair to use one on them, but then again.

They were shinobi in training. Learning to not play fair should be something they should be taught.

''Well, come on. Your time is going to... count.. from now.'' Satoshi said with a friendly face as he would wait for them to go on ahead.

Storm Guard mission

Testu and his team traveled quickly. The genin were full of questions, luckily this was the time for them. once they arrived that window of opportunity. They took full advantage of being in the presence of superior officers asking questions and for pointers. Instead of itching to prove themselves they were eager to learn. One of the other jonin explained exactly what the Black guard was. In short they were highly skilled shinobi who basically spied on the border between the established check points. While most travelers would sue the check points, those with darker intentions would most likely avoid such obvious routes. And that is where the Black Guard came in. They didn’t have many members but their duties were extremely important.

Tetus decided to place the genin team and a chunin at one of the main border check points to observe from there, unknown to even the guards there. The rest of the unit would each join a patrol in teams of two. Two Jonin-chunin pairs and Tetsu would be paired with another jonin. He explained this as they neared there destination but assured the genin that they would be given an opportunity other than watching guards watch people.
“once we arrive, fall in line as soon as the assignments are finalized. Keep your wits about you and stay sharp. You are defending your village as well as your county. were his words of encouragement as they were stopped by an assumed member of the Black Guard. The shinobi acknowledged Tetsu and instructed them to follow him. They did so, being led to their base of operations. An extremely inconspicuous setting but as soon as tetsu spoke to the commanding officer everyone was assigned roles and were dispatched to accomplish them and join ranks.

Kensuke Nimatsu
Team 7

Nodding as the students prepared to attack, he saw the girl suddenly rush towards him, as if she would try to simply outspeed him, a grave mistake. A massive-looking falcon wing attack hit her square in the chest, sending the small girl reeling over the ground, crashing to a halt against a tree stump. Shaking his head he turned towards the young Hyuga, giving him a penetrating gaze. Maybe this one would not be as stupidas to simply charge him. "I don't have all the time of the world, you know? Maybe I should add a time limit..." He challenged the team into getting started with this excercise. That tree wasn't going to cut down itself.

Takeshi Shun
Kiri Jounin - Team 2

Nodding at Natsume, Takeshi noticed her hesitance to divulge any more details about herself other than her name. Natsume's tone was colder than Takeshi would have liked and he frowned slightly. Neither of the other Genin's had spoken yet so Takeshi decided to try and get a little more out of the girl. Dropping the sarcastic tone from before, he spoke. "Well Natsume, it is nice to meet you. I must say I am impressed. There aren't many Genin I know that would take on a sword armed only with a kunai. And fewer still who would hold their own as well as you did." Takeshi smiled, this time genuinely. "So tell me, Natsume, I have seen your skill with water release, what else are you capable of?" He asked sincerely, hoping this time that she would offer up more than three words in response.

Natsume Yuki
Dew Islet

Natsume blinked once and proceeded to stare blankly at her sensei. She wasnt going to be giving out any more information. Flattery wouldn't get anyone anywhere with her. while she might not have been expecting a compliment but that wouldn't change her mood. She Blinked again. and another time. It had to have become apparent that she wasn't about to divulge anymore information about her self. She didnt see why it was necessary. what anyone needed to know would be found out in time. Nothing personal. it might have been slightly disrespectful but she honestly couldnt say she cared. She just looked at him blankly. For a moment she considered answering him. But what was there to say. all she had was Water release and one signature genjutsu that she wasnt about to reveal to anyone until she used it. the whole "ace in the hole" strategy. so eventually she just shrugged.

Hayate Hyūzu
Konoha - Team 2

Mission Time With Kiyomi-Sensei and Leo-San

He had kept up the pace close behind Kiyomi for what felt like hours already. Their journey so far had been a silent one, and Hayate felt no need to break it now. He knew they must be getting close to their destination now and for a split second he considered asking Kiyomi if they would arrive soon. His logic won over his curiosity however, and Hayate held his tongue. She would tell them when they were close, asking would be a pointless venture. Staring ahead, Hayate continued with their fast pace, he was excited for this mission.

Chou Minori

Silently watching as their sensei instructed them and then told them to hide, Chou decided that this time it would be best to do as she was told, seeing that disobeying her sensei may not be at her best interest right now. They had a goal of taking down the bandits, and as much as she hated to think about it, if they worked seperatly then it would be bad for all of them.

She listened from a spot on a tree, hiding on a high branch which concealed her behind the many leaves. The moment she heard the bandits chasing her sensei, Chou prepared her medium scroll, but she waited. As soon as she saw Mika arrive and do the signal, she stood up on the branch and before she could do her move, she saw Haruhi come out and manage to grab three of the bandits with a cable, keeping her still and ensuring they remain still. Deciding now is the right time, she threw her medium scroll into the air and did the Tiger, Ram and Monkey seals, which made several kunai, shuriken and senbons to be thrown at the trapped bandits.

Grabbing her small scroll, she opened it and made a kusarigama appear after pressing her hand on it. Quickly closing her scroll and seeing her medium scroll stopped throwing weapons, she jumped, grabbed her medium scroll and placed it on her back before turning to see one of the bandits coming at her, trying to strike her with a kunai from behind. The bandit managed to scratch her arm, and in retaliation Chou threw her kusarigama at him, and while he tried to dodge, she managed to catch the bandit's leg and make an all around deep wound in his leg after pulling the weapon back to her. The bandit fell down to the ground, hissing at the new wound but quickly made an attempt to stand up again before seeing the young girl throw the kusarigama at him, this time piercing his arm as he tried to roll over and dodge the weapon. Now Chou did not let him go and instead begin trying to pull him upwards, only to be thrown back on the back after the bandit managed to pull the weapon out of his arm. He quickly threw a couple of kunai at her which she managed to block using the chain of the kusarigama.

Looking around, she wondered where was their last teammate and if he was about to lend a hand or just ignore their sensei's order completely, which she thought was something idiotic to do at this time.
