It was more likely she just tripped to the left of the panther's grasp, before hitting the ground. She saved herself from a head injury by catching herself, before turning to the panther, a look of dismay crossing her face. Naoto slowly drew two kunai from her sheaths, and threw them at Kakashi. Unfortunately, the effects of exhaustion were starting to get to her, as one of the kunai was nowhere near it's mark, and instead went far above the panther. The other kunai was thrown so poorly, that almost any movement by Kakashi would cause it to miss.

Takeshi smiled as Kakashi need to make a sharp turn. Climbing the wired kunai was not likely because of the vertical stance. The panther was headed for the clearing now, he just hoped he and his clone chased the right one. The panther was really fast, Takeshi stayed a little to his right and his clone to his left both following it closely, sometimes throwing a kunai or a couple of shuriken to keep Kakashi on track and eventually a collision course with the webs of Kumoga-kun. Arriving at the clearing, his mouth fell open of surprise, ANOTHER Kakashi?
Ryoku's brow was set into a frown as Hoshi came back and informed him of the situation. They couldn't seal the beast away, never to be seen again. They couldn't lock it up unless he condemmed someone to that burden. Unless he made someone a weapon. Why hadn't he focussed on this before? Maybe this could have been prevented if more sealers had been trained, if he had been paying better attention to how to seal a Tailed Beast. It was not good to condemn a child like that. Because it had to be a child, he knew that. Only their bodies would adapt to the chakra overload that would come with the sealing of the Beast and only their bodies would be able to adapt properly. His thoughts went back to the Genin sparring back in the arena and he knew, it had to be one of them.
"Amekage-sama?"
Eiji's voice brought him from his reveries. The man shot him a questioning look, but Ryoku could see he was troubled too. Eiji was a kind man, someone who stood in line with Ryoku's course of action and the Amekage wondered if he was now going to break that. Was he going to break the heart of his trusted man? Still there was nothing he could do about it. The village needed to be saved and she would be a good host.
"Eiji=sama, please fetch Yoshikuni from the arena." He said. He saw Eiji freeze, his face litting up in surprise.
"Ryoku, you can't-" Eiji had never once been so impolite towards the man and somehow that did trouble him, but he could only think of Kuni. He had only heard tales about the lives of Jinchuuriki's but he knew that it was risky. Nothing said she would be able to take it. And he couldn't lose her. Not her too. She had become his daughter and he couldn't let her be in so much danger. "Please, I-"
"I am sorry Eiji, but that is an order. Be quick about it." Ryoku said, leaving out the honorifix as well. They had to act. He saw Eiji's eyes drop and he nodded before disappearing. Ryoku turned back to Hoshi. "Let's get ready for the sealing so we can get it done as soon as Yoshikuni arrives."
Meanwhile EIji was rushing back to the arena. His mind was clouded and he felt sick. He knew why Ryoku was doing it, but from all the children, why did it have to be Kuni? He knew that thought was unfair. No parent wanted their child condemmed to that of course so having it be another child would make someone else feel the same. And yet he could not shake it off. But he had to be strong. For Kuni, for himself. He arrived at the arena and quickly ran inside. The battle was already going. The girl from Ryoku's team was on the ground, the other one was about to unsheat her sword. Eiji appeared next to Kuni and grabbed her arm before she could rush in to join the fray. "I'm sorry, I knew you wanted to battle." He told her. "But I need you to come with me. Orders of the Amekage. You... you can fight later." If she survives. He tried to smile at her, but found it increadibly hard.
His subordinates were bickering while Hisoka arrived at the hospital. People made way for him, but he hardly looked at them. Why couldn't everyone just work together and not yell into his ear. He knew which order he had given Sakamoto and he stood by it, but then Zakito went against it and the Hokage had to agree with him. Maybe he had panicked a bit too much, but how could he not when he had no clue what was going on. How did Zakito know what he was figuring out now? That the hospital was empty. There were dead bodies inside, but there was no fight, no enemies. There was nothing. He demanded some explinations from the ninja present, but didn't get much. They had appeared and disappeared without wasting time. Where had Zakito gotten this information.
His eyes suddenly found a familiar face in the crowd of people. Kensuke Nimatsu, who was carrying someone over his shoulder. His Genin probably. Hisoka's look changed into a painful one. He had to talk to that boy. "Nimatsu!" He called out, likely surprising the boy. "Meet me in my office later. For now please be on your guard. And tend to your team..." With that said he turned around and was about to give orders when he heard Zakito again and froze when he realized what he meant.
Then there was Meisa's voice.
"No." He replied to her. "I got things covered here. Please meet up with Zakito." If what Zakito said was true the he didn't want to have Meisa at the hospital, her duties lay elsewhere. Sakamoto was already coming. That would be fine. Besides Zakito seemed to know more about the situation anyway so he would be of more use to her. Then he raised his voice to the rest of the troups, his voice stern. "There will be no blckering under commanders. The Jounin will follow Zakito Hon's previous words. Sakamoto will meet up with me at the hospital with the ANBU. Please stay calm and follow your orders."
Sho had not missed Kira's weaponry like she might think. He actually had something planned. This plan was however immediatly messed up when behind him Rini started to do... something. Whatever she did it released a huge burst of wind that send Sho sprawling forwards, caught by the blow, before he could good and well reach Kira at all. He smacked face down into the dirt, manage to partly catch himself into a flip and without trying somehow managed to roll underneath his enemy and get into a sitting position behind her. He wanted to yell at Rini for having his plans messed up, but decided that honestly, this could be a good thing. He still hated Rini though. Now those shots of water were wasted because they had flown off before he had been able to do something with them. Goodbye fucking totally brilliant plan. What a waste of chakra.
Sho decided not to dwell on it and not waste this strangely interesting created opportunity. He formed seals and would immediately lash out a water whip towards Kira's sword hand aiming to stop her from using the blade. Maybe Rini would even man the fuck up even more and would actually do something that would hurt her instead of send him down into the ground.
Midori wanted to whine at Gyuki. She didn't like this secret even though she understood perfectly well why they were keeping it. If Asami found out... Things would be really bad. I didn't mean you had to take over. I was going to suggest a clone, but if you don't want to help that is fine. She mumbled to him. Suddenly Deidara was next to her, his mist surrounding him. Her head felt a bit clearer and she smiled to him. He was really a good friend.
Reyna too! The girl had already sprinted off in an attempt to save Midori and Deidara. How cool was that? Now it was time for her to help. [i]What do you propose?[i] She asked Gyuki as she formed some seals. She wanted to make the clone regardlessly so that it could help out Reyna. The faster the bird was caught the better because it would mean that she could get out of here. Back to her other little project. Back to the building that lay waiting for her. As she finished the string of seals she spit out a blob of ink that would form itself into a clone of Midori, ready for action.

Kensuke Nimatsu
Looking up as he heard is name, he suddenly noticed the Hokage give him some orders. Unable to salute with the wounded genin on his back, he nodded and left the scene. The hospital aside, there also was the medical shinobi training facility in Konoha. Most likely they would like a 'test subject' to train their skills on. Making some haste he arrived there quickly, still thinking about the events at the hospital. What had even happened there? Who woul dare to attack a hospital of all things? That was just below low. Yet again, they were shinobi, and perhaps they should have seen this coming. But who? Who would want to harm Konoha like this? Maybe they could have prepared better, but for what reason? Noone seemed to actively attempt to harm Konoha. Was it an independant group of rogue shinobi? Was it a strike team from another village?
Arriving at the academy, he was forced to think of something else as he was welcomed by the reception. Coincidentially it was a lady named Sachiko, a recently graduated elite medical nin. Kensuke and her had gotten to know eachother when she was in the final stages of her sturdy, aiding in the hospital, when Kensuke arrived there with a grievous cut from shoulder to hip, barely stopped by his ribs. He had been appointed to Sachiko to watch over, and they had had some thousands of conversations that helped him through the months in the hospital, but also helped him redefine his morals a bit. He was a shinobi after all.
"Good morning Sachiko, congratulations on your graduation!" Kensuke said as lighthearted as he could, with the wounded genin in his arms, the barely succesful mission just completed, and the attack on the hospital on top of that. "Hello Kensuke! It's your fault I graduated, you know. You were a 'difficult case' I treated with succes." She replied with a mischievous grin. "Ah, well, regarding that. One of my genin here, Hyuga Ezuri, got himself a broken shin. I thought I'd be so kind to give one of the students here a chance at graduating too, you know?" He said, for some reason thinking it'd be best to keep the attack on the hospital out of this conversation. Most likely Sachiko would erupt in an explosion of justified rage, and he could miss that for now.
As Sachiko inspected the bleak and unconscious genin, she noticed that the bones were set already and that the bandage had stopped the worst of the bleeding. Regardless, he had suffered from quite some bloodloss, and it showed. "Heh... You have a gift for getting yourself injured. Please don't pass it on to your genin?" She sighed, before taking the genin in her arms. "But he will be healed. Don't worry." She added, shaking her head with a sort of a crooked grin. Kensuke had to admit, he was a repeating visitor of the hospital. "You have my thanks." He added, starting to turn around, as she sent him a begging look. "You aren't staying to see how the students will do?" Kensuke knew there was more behind this, but also knew that there was not much more behind this. Sachiko was a very social person, as in, extremely social, and sitting on a chair all day talking to the rare visitors of the academy probably bored her to no end. "Allright allright! I can stay a little while longer." He responded, remembering he had sent the rest of his squad to their homes.
Following Sachiko into the classroom/hospital room hybrids he shrugged and smiled sheepishly as he saw all the genin and chuunin here for medical ninjutsu training look up to him as Sachiko introduced him with generous words. He felt the need to correct her statements, but she never gave him the chance. She put the unconscious Hyuga on the table and immediately all the students were serious again. Kensuke, fading into the background as he leaned against a pillar, mused that it would be hilarious should the Hyuga genin wake up right now, all the medical nin in training surrounding him with faces analyzing his wounds, and taking turns to heal parts of the wound. Sachiko then approached him with a concerned look which made Kensuke wonder what was wrong. She stretched out her hand and healed a nasty but not particulary life threatening nor really obstructive scratch he had sustained from the falling sickle of the bandit he had killed. "You should at least try to get hurt less often..." She told him, before going back to her office at the entrance. Oh great. Even a scratch was enough to unleash Sachiko's motheryly instincts all over him.

The Eight tails,
Midori's Tummy Monster.
Midori would hear a scoff. The beast was laying on his stomach, his head resting on his arms as he conversed with her. ''Let me take over the clone.'' He told her. It sounded more like an order than an actuall suggestion or proposal. But he had his own reasons for that. Slowly opening his eyes, Gyuki spoke once more. ''Though with this sad state you are in, the clone will not be anything better. But I can do.. some satisfying actions.'' The Tailed Beast waited for Midori's reaction.
The clone that was created with ink flawlessly formed into Midori. Making use of the action as well that Midori would likely not prevent him, Gyuki quickly took over control. The clone seemed to be a bit confused. The touch of the air outside always felt like a relieve. Only for the thought to come up later. He wasn't free. With her back turned to Deidara and Midori, the ink clone of Midori didn't move at first. The poison was annoying. But Gyuki had anticipated that it would make it less easy to move around. The area suddenly felt like there was some heavy pressure leaning on everybody. Turning around, the ink clone rammed a fist towards Deidara. Due his state, he wouldn't be able to dodge the sudden attack, combined with the brief amount of killing intent that would take everybody by surprise. But the ink clone wasn't aiming to hurt Deidara. That was just something Gyuki would enjoy. It was to drive Deidara away from Midori.
Speaking, the ink clone had the same voice as Midori. ''First we need to find a way to help Reyna.'' Then Midori would hear Gyuki's voice. That and I realized something.... We need to talk later, Midori. For now the clone would provide some back up. But Gyuki was aware that the poison wouldn't allow him to control the clone without some empowering chakra. However, it was a risk worth it. Else he could always make Midori spin some lie.

Training day two
Nazari stood in the same spot that she did the other day, the dead center of the training field, waiting on Shu to arrive as well as her absent partner in training him. Shaking her head, she figured that Kazen was probably asleep still and did not realize that it past time for her to get here. Allowing two jounin to teach a team of one or more genin, served a purpose but that purpose was unknown to Nazari. The Amekage had requested an audience with her that day when he informed her of such matters, but still she was curious as to why it was allowed. Another five minutes passed by slowly as she thought about what reaction Shu would have to Kazen.
Shu jogged quickly to the training field, his mind focusing on ideas of what his test could be. The prospect of another night based fight, with the help of her genjutsu, interested him. He wanted to impress her. As Shu reached the training field, he undid the buckle on his sheath, for easier access to his scimitar. He saw Nazari standing in the same spot as she had stood yesterday, and approached her. "What are the plans for today, sensei?" He asked politely.
She saw Shu approach to her, already he has prepared himself for the day that awaits him, compared to yesterday, today would be rather easy but it would also hold its challenges. "Today, we will play a game that require you to react quickly" Nazari said calmly. She also noted how he seemed to be politer today, which was good. "Also, due to the request of the Amekage, you and who ever else joins the squad will have two sensei" she said and awaited his response patiently.
Shu nodded when she said that he would have to react quickly, remembering how many times his poor reaction time got him in trouble yesterday. When Nazari said the part about having two senseis though, Shu looked stunned. "Two Sensei? I can't even handle you!" He said, though it was obvious he wasn't trying to be impolite. He looked around wonderingly, "Where is the new sensei anyways?
"Kazen is running late...." Nazari said with a sigh, she could not start the game until she arrived but maybe she could explain it to him so everything was ready when she got here. "The game is simple, you hide somewhere in the village. Not in a store, not in a heavily crowded area and not ouside the village. If Kazen or I find you, you have five seconds to react first or run. Understood?" Nazari asked calmly. Studying his expression quietly as she wondered what was going through his mind at the moment.
Shu's mind raced, wondering where he could hide. He smiled slyly, and nodded, obviously excited. Shu began wondering if he could trick Kazen, much less Nazari, with water clones. Then, he had the idea of disrupting his senseis when they got close with his water wave palm jutsu, stopping their advance, and hopefully disrupting their view. Shu chuckled at the thought that this was basically just hide, and seek. "Can i attack you two in this game, or do I have to ensure my hits are non lethal?" Shu asked curiously, "I mean you are a Jounin, so you shouldn't have to much to worry about."
"You are allowed to attack us, within the first five seconds we find you" Nazari said as she shifted her weight onto another foot, her arms crossed. She could tell he was excited to start the game but they still had to wait until Kazen arrived to begin. It was obvious that he had a plan or else why would he bother asking if he could attack them? "In fact, it is encouraged that you attack us" she added after she thought about it more. "But you will not be able to hide again until you can escape unnoticed" she said.
Shu nodded, then rebuckled his scimitar. He wasn't going to need it for hiding, as it would just bring him closer to his target if he used it, which would make it harder to hide. He unbuckled one of his kunai pouches, and pulled one out, spinning it on his finger. He closed his eyes, and concentrated, feeling his flow of chakra clearly. Shu's chakra control was definetly above average but he had very small chakra reserves, and that led to him tiring out easily. Shu kept his eyes closed, trying to concentrate on his chakra flow. He wanted to be ready as soon as Kazen arrived.
Sunlight creeped past the curtains shining on Kazen's face. The young kunoichi moaned a little as it woke her up. the next moment she sat straight up in bed "Shitshitshitshit! I', late again, like yesterday! What time is it anyway?" Kazen jumped out of bed and got to the window, not as late as yesterday, luckily. By the time she got to the trainingfield yesterday Nazari was already gone. Kazen shot into her clothes and dashed out of the front door, leaving her place in a mess.
Kazen knew she would be in trouble, Nazari was not one that was satisfied with just an apology. As Kazen take up top speed to not waste anymore time she thought about her Genin, she recieved only one profile of a dude named Shu, she wondered if he was fun, she could use some fun. Not that Nazari was never fun, but she was very strict and way more used to Kazen's nagging. she needed to loossen up.
Kazen carefully wove some simple hand seals "Kaze Senpo" and increased her speed drastically. She reached the training field in no-time and saw Nazari patently waiting and another figure, probably the genin, loitering around. Kazen did not undo her jutsu untill she stood behind the genin. before he even noticed she was behind him or the wind of her movement reached him she tried to scare him "You must be Shu, pleased to meet you" said Kazen with the hugest of grins.
Nazari felt the wind change, looking towards the entrance, she noticed Kazen racing over to them and shook her head a bit. Instead of announcing Kazen's presence like she would have done normally, she waited to see how Shu would react to Kazen and wondered if his reaction time would be faster than it was already. He also had a kunai in his hand, being caught off guard by Kazen's foolishness might earn her a kunai in the stomach and hopefully teach her to be on time. If not, then it was always amusing to see how one would react to such a scare. "Kazen... when will you actually be responsible and get here on time for once?" Nazari asked irritably after a moment, her tardiness was inconvienent to both Shu and Nazari. "Shu, once you are ready, you may begin. You get a five second head start" Nazari said. She had eventually uncrossed her arms and had the other behind her back, performing the Water Clone Jutsu, her water clone casually walked up to Kazen and smirked before unsheathing her Katana in one smooth motion and tried to hit Kazen up side the head with its hilt.
Shu felt breath on the back of his neck and almost fell over himself trying to get out of her way. He let out a small squeak, and slowly rolled over to see Kazen standing over him. "Oh. . . What a pleasant. . . surprise" Shu mumbled, his facing turning a slight red. He heard Nazari question Kazen, and then she spoke to him. "Ok. Lets get going." he said, then didn't move. He quickly preformed the hand seals for a water clone then, without pausing, he preformed the hand seals for the water wave palm, spinning to hit them both, before sprinting away, his clone calmly pulling out it's sword and ran at Kazen.
Kazen saw the clone from Nazari slowly making its way over to her. "Nazari-chan?" The clone smirked "Nazari-senpai?" what are you... the hilt of Edge made a faint 'plok' sound on Kazen's forehead. "ouch why'd you do th-" Kazen did not have the chance to finish her sentence. while this scene played out the Genin sprung into action, a wave of water soaked the two jounin-sensei and Nazari's clone dispersed. The genin ran away to find a place to hide while his waterclone walked over to Kazen. Kazen took out a kunai, slowly and easily parried Shu's scimitar and rammed her hand, fingers stretched out throught the boy, making his water clone disperse in a splash. Kazen turned to Nazari, "anything else? or should we just start looking for the little bugger?"
Once Shu was out of sight, she turned to look at Kazen full on, her glare and agitiation fully visible on her face now. "Kazen, there is no excuse for being late, again. You are a jounin now, not an irresponsible genin who can not show up on time. If this happens again, I might have a word with the Amekage or his assisstant to see if this can be resolved in a more painful manner. Got it?" Nazari demanded, taking a deep breath and running a hand through her hair in frustration. As much as she liked Kazen, she could not keep showing up late, it was setting a bad example for Shu.
Kazen grinned a little sheepishly at Nazari lecture and scratched the back of her head, a habit of hers when she felt uneasy or nervous. She knew Nazari was right but it Kazen would not be Kazen if she didnt say aniything back. "yeah, well" Started Kazen, like many times and often to Nazari's annoyance "I don;t think that is necessary Nazari-senpai, I promise it won happen again" Kazen kept calling Nazari either -chan or -senpai depending on the situation. in this case it seemed more 'save' to call her senpai.
A moment of silence passes between the two friends, but it didnt take long before Kazen's carefree, cheerful personalit returned. she turned to the young women to her side and almost jumped up and down from excitement "Nazari-chan Nazari-chan! I got sometihin to tell you, listen, listen listen. You know I studied the human body right? Put out your arm to the side" Nazai sighed emphatically but did what Kazen asked. 'Now pay attention!" siad Kazen and with three really rapid strikes she hit Nazari's arm on three places just past the shoulder. the arm fell down limply back to Nazari's side "see! see! isnt that cool?!" Kazen beamed but that quickly turned into a small grin and a headscratch when she saw Nazari's gaze "it, uhm, its called pressure point taijutsu and err, I... well, you'll regain feeling in about two minutes" with those words Kazen bursted off into the direction Shu ran to avoid any further punishment.
Nazari sighed, looking into the eyes of Kazen before narrowing them at her to find out if there was deception, at first glance there was none. "Fine... Just do not let it happen again..." Nazari said firmly before she allowed Kazen her arm. To find her arm being struck at three different places, before going limp and she knew that allowing her arm to be of service to the foolish Kazen, was a mistake. But Kazen had already took off in a blur of motion before Nazari could stop her. With another heavy sigh, she too sprinted after Shu. Her speed not as impressive but still fast enough to keep Kazen in her sight.
Shu felt his clone break and smiled, calmly making another one, that he hid in tree above the path he had taken. He made sure it was ready to ambush them, then kept running, entering the village. Shu had a plan, and he was going to stick to it. He began to climb a building, and once he got to the top he preformed the hiding in the mist technique, mist pouring out from his mouth quickly to envelop him, and soon a lot of the village. It was terrible exhausting though, so Shu laid down to rest, focusing only on his chakra. He had made sure to eat a lot before coming so he would have plenty of chakra, and now he could tell it would be useful.
Noticing the mist from the village, she stopped pursuing Kazen for the moment and turned towards the source of the mist. It had started from a building, which was where she suspected Shu to be, but it would not be very educating if she found him this quickly, so she slowly headed in the direction of village. Performing the hand seals for her Water Clones, she made two appear next to her before they split into two separate paths. One straight towards the building and the other took another way to the buildig, the real one, went and sat on a bench for a moment before walking towards the building herself.
Shu's clone saw one of Nazari's clones head underneath his branch, and jumped down, throwing a kunai at it's back. It then sprinted towards the direction the clone had come from. The real Shu slowly analyzed the sitaution, knowing that he would be found if he stayed in the same place for too long. He smiled as he realized that the mist would be a great thing to distract people, considering it might draw them in. Shu jumped from his current building's rooftop to an adjacant one, then repeated the proccess until he was out of the mist, and safely away from it's origin. He decieded it would be best to do some recon, so he sat at the edge of the building and studied the landscape below him.
The clone was not expecting to find a Kunai in its back so she simply smiled a bit before vanishing into a splash of water. While the other clone rushed into the mist, fully prepared to fight Shu if he was found, starting at the source of the mist where it was still concentrated. But had no such luck in finding Shu there, the real one, noticed a figure jumping from the mist and began her steady pursuit of him. Once again, performing the hand seals for the water clone jutsu and they both went in the same direction. Jumping from building to building swiftly as she stopped just before the mist ended. Pulling out her flute, she played the required notes for Tsuisutomira. The soft hum of her pan flute carried the sound of the notes over to Shu that would ensnare him in a genjustus.
Shu heard a soft melody, and smiled slightly. He closed his eyes, but when he opened them, before him were two copies of himself. He blinked in surprise, getting back off the ledge, when two more appeared. Then four more. He began to panic, as the seconds ticked by more, and more versions of himself appeared. . . He suddenly drew his sword, rushing at one of the phantoms, and attempting to cut through it. It dissapeared as his sword cut through it, and he ran to cut another. Shu stopped himself from running at another one, as he slowly thought about it. He decided that a water palm would be better for this, and he dispersed the mist in the distance, as well as his clone, to preserve his chakra. He preformed the handseals for water wave palm again, and sprayed the copies of himself, the water destroying them on contact. Shu's efforts were hopeless though, for everyone destroyed a new one took it's place.
While Shu was preoccupied, the clone snuck up behind him and grabbed his shoulder roughly with a smirk. "Found you" the clone said and let him go for a moment, silently counting the seconds that passed by. The real Nazari stood in the mist and observed his reaction time, seeing if he would choose to fight or flee from the situation.
Shu blinked in surprise after having his shoulder grabbed. After thinking about it for a second, he pulled out a kunai and stabbed at her, trying to hit the clone, luckily the clone was not as keen as the real Nazari which enabled her to be hit and thus breaking the illusion. He smiled as he saw the water on the ground where the clone once stood, and slowly came to realize; The clones weren't real, otherwse they would've broke into water when they were destroyed. Shu looked over at the illusionary versions of himself, and noticed there lack of shadows. Shu mentally punched himself, as he realized that he was under a genjutsu. He slowly closed his eyes, concentrating on the chakra around him, and the chakra in his brain. He felt his chakra being manipulated, and almost slammed his head into the ground out of desperation. "I'm an idiot." He proclaimed sadly, then calmly disrupted his flow of chakra, dispersing the genjutsu.
Nazari nodded as she saw him break out of the genjutsu, it would make him more interesting to train than just him unable to break free. The mist had all vanished now, leaving Nazari in plain sight and standing directly in front of him with her arms crossed. It was good that he chose to stay and fight, it showed that he was not afraid to do so and was a characteristic that a young genin should have. "Well?" Nazari asked calmly. He now had another five seconds to choose what to do before she attacked him without warning, if he chose to fight he would be faced with a near impossible to escape situation that be end of the game but if he chose to flee, then the game would continue. Although, not being afraid to fight is a good thing, he also needed common sense to tell him that he should not fight an enemy he cannot win against.
A look of contemplation crossed Shu's face as he considered the situation, but the face didn't last for long as he decided. Shu quickly jumped off the building, landing on a lower rooftop, before dropping to street level. He ran back towards the training ground, while at the same time making a water clone to run the opposite direction, hoping to confuse Nazari. Sweat began to drip from his hair, and his chakra reserves were already running low, so he was definetly in a difficult situaton. Shu reached the training field, and immedietly jumped into a tree, and layed down, his breathing uneven, and loud.
Just as soon as Kazen bursted away from the trainingground she was back. Nazari was already gone by then, Kazen didn't really feel like searching and had the idea of 'the culprint always goes back to the crimescene' but Shu didnt show up and if there's anything Kazen hates it's waiting. Kazen decided to get to the highest place she could find and scout the area from there. Instead of heading into the village she choose the hoghest treetop around the training ground and played around with Kaze Katana as she scouted the area around her.
She saw the mist in the village and Nazari heading there as well. although she really could not see anything it all, it was still interesting to watch. Eventually the mist disappeared and a small figure came running back to the training grounds and leapt into a tree. "how fun!" exulted Kazen, not loud enough for the genin to hear. Fast but silent she snuck up on him, resting with her back against the tree-trunk behind Shu she teasingly said his name "Shu-u-Ku-un" she winked "found you!"
Shu lost his concentration, and fell out of the tree next to Kazen. His clone collapsed in the distance, as Shu's body went limp. He groaned, and rolled over, looking up at Kazen with a look of hatred. "I don't think we're gonna be friends. . ." he said steadily, before standing up. Shu calmly unsheathed his sword, pulling it out easily, and facing the blade towards Kazen. He rushed forward at her, trying the trick he pulled on Nazari, and swinging before he got to her. His blade missed, but Shu spun, and brought the momentum of the sword towards her neck. Shu was swinging to kill her.
Kazen was a little schoked as the boy fell out of the tree and jumped down, about to ask if he was alright. He groaned ans rolled over, that was when Kazen realised she was not supposed to and would probably have to fight the boy. It seemed he had this intention as he made his statement and unsheated his blade. Kazen had her hands folded behind her back. As the boy attacked she did not move and inch as she saw the blade would not connect, he better not try the same as she swung Kaza Katana tho. As his sword swung by and further, she simply took one small step back so he also missed his second attack. Kazen drew her own blade and held it in front of her in reverse grip, taking a defensive stance.
Shu almost tripped when the second attack missed, barely catching himself. He stood up straighter, and seeing that she wouldn't attack him, he smiled. He sheathed his sword, and ran at her, and right before he reached her, did the hand seals for a water clone. The clone appeared beside Shu, and threw kunais to Kazen's right and left in case she tried to dodge. The real Shu pulled out a kunai, and stabbed at her stomach, hoping this would force her to fight.
Kazen was surprised as he sheathed his sword but kept hers out. he charged at her bare handed, not a really smart thing to do in her opinion. suddenly a clone appeared next him, both took out a kunai, as the clone throwed he tried to stab her. Kazen swung her blade blocking the thrown Kunai, waited for Shu to get as close as possible before making a three step turn to dodge and get behind him in one swift motion, putting a foot between his shoulder blade and give him that last extra push to make him fall flat on his face, unless he breaks the fall with his hands, but that would take a fast reaction time...
Shu hit the ground face first, a small rock cutting his left cheek. It wasn't a large cut, but it was definitely noticeable. Shu stood up and laughed, turning torwards her. "I'm glad you always focus on me," He said calmly, while his clone put a kunai right behind her neck. Shu pressed his hand to his face, and saw the blood, and frowned. "You are really. . . really fast." He said, "Half your movements i cant even see, but you get excited easily. You remind me of a child who's given a knife. You get giddy, and expect everyone to share your interest." He spat blood out of his mouth, and looked at her up and down with contempt.
Nazari wasted no time in getting to the training field to watch the sparring between Shu and Kazen, she already knew that Kazen had returned the the training field, her other clone had not lost sight of her. Arriving at the the training field, she stopped about a hundred yards away and stood on a nearby tree. Observing the ongoing fight, but raised an eye brow once Shu started to speak about Kazen, he wasn't wrong but it also didn't mean that he could speak out so boldly. Wondering if she should interfere to prevent any unneccessary actions, at the same time she knew they both needed to get along. If it wasn't possible on their own, then she would have to force them to work together like a team. She already knew how she was going to do that but would give them another moment to attempt it first.
As soon as Shu said the words "I'm glad you always focus on me" Kazen knew she got burned Shit! She forgot the clone! before she could counter it the cold steel was pressed againt her neck. IF he cut her there she would just get hurt, its not a place to make a fatal wound. But then Shu made a grave mistakehe started to talk badly about her: "...but you are excited easily. You remind me of a child who's given a knife. You get giddy, and expect everyone to share your interest." and then he looked at her in a way she didnt like. In a split second Kazen slapped his clone hard in the face with her arms swinging backwards, in the same time she dashed at Shu getting behind him and keeping him restrained, having her blade pressed against his adam's apple, almost leaving a small superficial cut, he better not swallow. She whispered in his ear, her voice cold: "Don't get cocky kid, we are not equals, not by a long shot. Maybe my ways are a little different than what you are used to, but I am your sensei and you will treat me with respect! GOT IT?!"
Once the last of Kazens rant like tantrum was finished, it was too late to stop Nazari from acting on her thoughts. Putting her flute to her lips, she let the soft lullaby of the notes carry over to them, her voice soft as she whispered into the air "Lullaby of the Stars." The sweet and soft tune would force them into a calm state, before enducing a trance that would only be stopped if the genjutsu was broken, time appeared to slow down and the sky darkened, soon if the two did not act, they would be asleep. She hoped they would be able to get over themselves before that happened but if not, then she could end it.
As Kazen's stopped talking, Shu heard a soft melody play across his ears. He blinked in surprise, and his weight shifted to be pressed against Kazen, his body going limp, and his eyes glazing over. "Isn't that nice?" He spoke, his voice slow, and mechanical. Shu's breathing slowed, almost to a standstill. Shu yawned loudly, and his legs began to give out, a thin layer of darkness going over his eyes.
Soon after she was finished talking to her student the sky darkened and she heard a flute in the distance. Kazen knew this was a genjutu cast by Nazari, her mind bacame clouded and her body became heavy. The only thing that kept her at her wits was her anger. her anger against Shu that quickly made place for anger against Partner "Damn you Nazari-chan!" Kazen broke the genjutsu in an instant and walked over to her friend, leaving Shu standing there still under her spell "why'd you do that for?" she asked her co-teacher.
"Acting out on your student is unacceptable, worse than arriving late" Nazari stated forcing her voice to be calm. She was also irritated because it did nothing for their team work, which was the point of casting the genjutus in the first place. "Shu, the game is over. You both need to work on your tempers, in my opinion" Nazari said in her anger. "Unless you can convince me otherwise" she snapped at Kazen.
Kazen was about to open her mouth to go against Nazari but the look of her partner stopped her. She spoke to Shu and Kazen, undoubtedly Shu could hear her too, still in the genjustsu. Kazen sighted, she could not win this argument because she knew Nazari was right. She walked over to Shu, laid a hand on his shoulder and her other hand in front of her face, two fingers up "Kai" Shu broke out of the Genjutsu. Kazen squatted down to his level. "so... she is failing you now, apparently because we, you and me, can't work together. anyhow, she is planning to tell the Amekage on me unless we can convince her otherwise... any ideas?"
Shu looked up at her, groggily, and began to think. He sighed, and calmly said, "I haven't the slightest idea," his voice calm and honest. "We could always just kill her," He whispered to her jokingly. He wasn't expecting to fail so easily, and he definitely didn't want to. His dreams of being a ninja, that he had pursued so extensively were about to be crushed, and he couldn't quite comprehend the situation. He closed his eyes, slowly, his thoughts drifting emptily. A small drop of blood finally made it's way to the end of his face, and dripped off his chin.
Kazen listened to the young boy in front of her "We could always just kill her," he said to her. Kazen lived up "yes! yes, that is a good I- wait, what?" She saw him saddening and noticed the small stream of blood running down his face. Kazen sighted she was not one who could keep angry at someone for long. She took out her first aid kit, cleaned his face with some iodine and a sterile napkin and placed a bandage on the wound, preventing more blood to come out. "I think I know something that might please her" said Kazen with a slight smile.
Nazari was watching the couple from a distance, she didn't really want to fail Shu but she needed her team to work together and knew that would go for her too, but it seemed Kazen and Shu had more trouble getting along than she had. She saw Kazen get really excited about something Shu said but she saw him shake his head. At least they were conspiring, that was good. She raised a brow, surprised by Kazen when she saw that she took out her first aid kit and cleaned Shu's face with a sterile napkin and treated his head wound.
Shu looked at her curiously, as she treated his cut. He blushed slightly, and it was doubtless that didn't help her effort. When Kazen said she had a plan, Shu looked up at her inquisitively, his eyes held more then appreciation. . . They held a bit of a respect.
Kazen looked at him and smiled, she did not fail to notice the little blush on his face. she could be nice when she tried. "it seems Nazari wants us to show some teamwork, how about we fight each other fair and square? no shenanigans and no getting carried away by our feelings. working together also means respect for each other, even if you are pitted up against them as your opponent, we need to get along and that needs time, I understand that, but I believe we can make it happen" Kazen stood up and put up a fist up before sticking it out to him and winked with a smile "Let's do this!"
Shu blinked in surprise at her suggestion, not quite understanding how fighting would prove teamwork, but he played along anyways. "Lets do it," he said, nodding in agreement. Shu smiled as he pulled out his scimitar carfuly, ready to fight her fairly, and walked a small distance so there was a gap between them. He glanced up at Nazari, wondering if she would approve of the fight.
Kazen liked the spirit of the boy and jumped back a few meters as well. Kazen placed both her hands behind her back taking out two kunai, one in each hand. With a quick wrist movement Kazen hid the left kunai in her sleeve making it not visible for Shu and pointed the right at him. Kazen shifted her feet and took on a stance that could both be offensive and defensive. She smiled brightly "hit me with your best shot Shu-kun!" she called out to him, her actions would depend on him attacking from far away or at close range.
Shu nodded at her challenge, his mind quickly calculating what the best offense would be here. She seemed both offensive and defensive, so he couldn't quite tell what would be the best approach. He looked her up and down, looking for a crack in her armor something that would lead to Shu's success. Her stance was too stable, Shu didn't see how he could surprise her. Shu deceded that a straight on assualt would be best, and began to rush at Kazen, his sword high above his head. Right before he reached her, he swung forward, his sword quickly falling torwards Kazen's head.
Kazen smiled as he rushed forward "That attack packs a lot of strenght but you are wide open" to illustrate this Kazen threw her kunai at him, cutting a piece of his clothes near his armpit and just before he reached her she took a quick step forward with one hand against the hilt of his sword, keeping it from falling down and her other hand holding a the previously hidden kunai to his throat. They stood like that for a moment before Kazen jumped back another 12 feet "again" she called.
Nazari watched on the side as the fight began but a second later, she walked to the middle and put herself between them. "Thats enough for now, you will have other chances to make amends with each other, I am sure this won't happen again" Nazari said calmly.

Training day two
Nazari stood in the same spot that she did the other day, the dead center of the training field, waiting on Shu to arrive as well as her absent partner in training him. Shaking her head, she figured that Kazen was probably asleep still and did not realize that it past time for her to get here. Allowing two jounin to teach a team of one or more genin, served a purpose but that purpose was unknown to Nazari. The Amekage had requested an audience with her that day when he informed her of such matters, but still she was curious as to why it was allowed. Another five minutes passed by slowly as she thought about what reaction Shu would have to Kazen.
Shu jogged quickly to the training field, his mind focusing on ideas of what his test could be. The prospect of another night based fight, with the help of her genjutsu, interested him. He wanted to impress her. As Shu reached the training field, he undid the buckle on his sheath, for easier access to his scimitar. He saw Nazari standing in the same spot as she had stood yesterday, and approached her. "What are the plans for today, sensei?" He asked politely.
She saw Shu approach to her, already he has prepared himself for the day that awaits him, compared to yesterday, today would be rather easy but it would also hold its challenges. "Today, we will play a game that require you to react quickly" Nazari said calmly. She also noted how he seemed to be politer today, which was good. "Also, due to the request of the Amekage, you and who ever else joins the squad will have two sensei" she said and awaited his response patiently.
Shu nodded when she said that he would have to react quickly, remembering how many times his poor reaction time got him in trouble yesterday. When Nazari said the part about having two senseis though, Shu looked stunned. "Two Sensei? I can't even handle you!" He said, though it was obvious he wasn't trying to be impolite. He looked around wonderingly, "Where is the new sensei anyways?
"Kazen is running late...." Nazari said with a sigh, she could not start the game until she arrived but maybe she could explain it to him so everything was ready when she got here. "The game is simple, you hide somewhere in the village. Not in a store, not in a heavily crowded area and not ouside the village. If Kazen or I find you, you have five seconds to react first or run. Understood?" Nazari asked calmly. Studying his expression quietly as she wondered what was going through his mind at the moment.
Shu's mind raced, wondering where he could hide. He smiled slyly, and nodded, obviously excited. Shu began wondering if he could trick Kazen, much less Nazari, with water clones. Then, he had the idea of disrupting his senseis when they got close with his water wave palm jutsu, stopping their advance, and hopefully disrupting their view. Shu chuckled at the thought that this was basically just hide, and seek. "Can i attack you two in this game, or do I have to ensure my hits are non lethal?" Shu asked curiously, "I mean you are a Jounin, so you shouldn't have to much to worry about."
"You are allowed to attack us, within the first five seconds we find you" Nazari said as she shifted her weight onto another foot, her arms crossed. She could tell he was excited to start the game but they still had to wait until Kazen arrived to begin. It was obvious that he had a plan or else why would he bother asking if he could attack them? "In fact, it is encouraged that you attack us" she added after she thought about it more. "But you will not be able to hide again until you can escape unnoticed" she said.
Shu nodded, then rebuckled his scimitar. He wasn't going to need it for hiding, as it would just bring him closer to his target if he used it, which would make it harder to hide. He unbuckled one of his kunai pouches, and pulled one out, spinning it on his finger. He closed his eyes, and concentrated, feeling his flow of chakra clearly. Shu's chakra control was definetly above average but he had very small chakra reserves, and that led to him tiring out easily. Shu kept his eyes closed, trying to concentrate on his chakra flow. He wanted to be ready as soon as Kazen arrived.
Sunlight creeped past the curtains shining on Kazen's face. The young kunoichi moaned a little as it woke her up. the next moment she sat straight up in bed "Shitshitshitshit! I', late again, like yesterday! What time is it anyway?" Kazen jumped out of bed and got to the window, not as late as yesterday, luckily. By the time she got to the trainingfield yesterday Nazari was already gone. Kazen shot into her clothes and dashed out of the front door, leaving her place in a mess.
Kazen knew she would be in trouble, Nazari was not one that was satisfied with just an apology. As Kazen take up top speed to not waste anymore time she thought about her Genin, she recieved only one profile of a dude named Shu, she wondered if he was fun, she could use some fun. Not that Nazari was never fun, but she was very strict and way more used to Kazen's nagging. she needed to loossen up.
Kazen carefully wove some simple hand seals "Kaze Senpo" and increased her speed drastically. She reached the training field in no-time and saw Nazari patently waiting and another figure, probably the genin, loitering around. Kazen did not undo her jutsu untill she stood behind the genin. before he even noticed she was behind him or the wind of her movement reached him she tried to scare him "You must be Shu, pleased to meet you" said Kazen with the hugest of grins.
Nazari felt the wind change, looking towards the entrance, she noticed Kazen racing over to them and shook her head a bit. Instead of announcing Kazen's presence like she would have done normally, she waited to see how Shu would react to Kazen and wondered if his reaction time would be faster than it was already. He also had a kunai in his hand, being caught off guard by Kazen's foolishness might earn her a kunai in the stomach and hopefully teach her to be on time. If not, then it was always amusing to see how one would react to such a scare. "Kazen... when will you actually be responsible and get here on time for once?" Nazari asked irritably after a moment, her tardiness was inconvienent to both Shu and Nazari. "Shu, once you are ready, you may begin. You get a five second head start" Nazari said. She had eventually uncrossed her arms and had the other behind her back, performing the Water Clone Jutsu, her water clone casually walked up to Kazen and smirked before unsheathing her Katana in one smooth motion and tried to hit Kazen up side the head with its hilt.
Shu felt breath on the back of his neck and almost fell over himself trying to get out of her way. He let out a small squeak, and slowly rolled over to see Kazen standing over him. "Oh. . . What a pleasant. . . surprise" Shu mumbled, his facing turning a slight red. He heard Nazari question Kazen, and then she spoke to him. "Ok. Lets get going." he said, then didn't move. He quickly preformed the hand seals for a water clone then, without pausing, he preformed the hand seals for the water wave palm, spinning to hit them both, before sprinting away, his clone calmly pulling out it's sword and ran at Kazen.
Kazen saw the clone from Nazari slowly making its way over to her. "Nazari-chan?" The clone smirked "Nazari-senpai?" what are you... the hilt of Edge made a faint 'plok' sound on Kazen's forehead. "ouch why'd you do th-" Kazen did not have the chance to finish her sentence. while this scene played out the Genin sprung into action, a wave of water soaked the two jounin-sensei and Nazari's clone dispersed. The genin ran away to find a place to hide while his waterclone walked over to Kazen. Kazen took out a kunai, slowly and easily parried Shu's scimitar and rammed her hand, fingers stretched out throught the boy, making his water clone disperse in a splash. Kazen turned to Nazari, "anything else? or should we just start looking for the little bugger?"
Once Shu was out of sight, she turned to look at Kazen full on, her glare and agitiation fully visible on her face now. "Kazen, there is no excuse for being late, again. You are a jounin now, not an irresponsible genin who can not show up on time. If this happens again, I might have a word with the Amekage or his assisstant to see if this can be resolved in a more painful manner. Got it?" Nazari demanded, taking a deep breath and running a hand through her hair in frustration. As much as she liked Kazen, she could not keep showing up late, it was setting a bad example for Shu.
Kazen grinned a little sheepishly at Nazari lecture and scratched the back of her head, a habit of hers when she felt uneasy or nervous. She knew Nazari was right but it Kazen would not be Kazen if she didnt say aniything back. "yeah, well" Started Kazen, like many times and often to Nazari's annoyance "I don;t think that is necessary Nazari-senpai, I promise it won happen again" Kazen kept calling Nazari either -chan or -senpai depending on the situation. in this case it seemed more 'save' to call her senpai.
A moment of silence passes between the two friends, but it didnt take long before Kazen's carefree, cheerful personalit returned. she turned to the young women to her side and almost jumped up and down from excitement "Nazari-chan Nazari-chan! I got sometihin to tell you, listen, listen listen. You know I studied the human body right? Put out your arm to the side" Nazai sighed emphatically but did what Kazen asked. 'Now pay attention!" siad Kazen and with three really rapid strikes she hit Nazari's arm on three places just past the shoulder. the arm fell down limply back to Nazari's side "see! see! isnt that cool?!" Kazen beamed but that quickly turned into a small grin and a headscratch when she saw Nazari's gaze "it, uhm, its called pressure point taijutsu and err, I... well, you'll regain feeling in about two minutes" with those words Kazen bursted off into the direction Shu ran to avoid any further punishment.

Shu felt his clone break and smiled, calmly making another one, that he hid in tree above the path he had taken. He made sure it was ready to ambush them, then kept running, entering the village. Shu had a plan, and he was going to stick to it. He began to climb a building, and once he got to the top he preformed the hiding in the mist technique, mist pouring out from his mouth quickly to envelop him, and soon a lot of the village. It was terrible exhausting though, so Shu laid down to rest, focusing only on his chakra. He had made sure to eat a lot before coming so he would have plenty of chakra, and now he could tell it would be useful.
Noticing the mist from the village, she stopped pursuing Kazen for the moment and turned towards the source of the mist. It had started from a building, which was where she suspected Shu to be, but it would not be very educating if she found him this quickly, so she slowly headed in the direction of village. Performing the hand seals for her Water Clones, she made two appear next to her before they split into two separate paths. One straight towards the building and the other took another way to the buildig, the real one, went and sat on a bench for a moment before walking towards the building herself.
Shu's clone saw one of Nazari's clones head underneath his branch, and jumped down, throwing a kunai at it's back. It then sprinted towards the direction the clone had come from. The real Shu slowly analyzed the sitaution, knowing that he would be found if he stayed in the same place for too long. He smiled as he realized that the mist would be a great thing to distract people, considering it might draw them in. Shu jumped from his current building's rooftop to an adjacant one, then repeated the proccess until he was out of the mist, and safely away from it's origin. He decieded it would be best to do some recon, so he sat at the edge of the building and studied the landscape below him.
The clone was not expecting to find a Kunai in its back so she simply smiled a bit before vanishing into a splash of water. While the other clone rushed into the mist, fully prepared to fight Shu if he was found, starting at the source of the mist where it was still concentrated. But had no such luck in finding Shu there, the real one, noticed a figure jumping from the mist and began her steady pursuit of him. Once again, performing the hand seals for the water clone jutsu and they both went in the same direction. Jumping from building to building swiftly as she stopped just before the mist ended. Pulling out her flute, she played the required notes for Tsuisutomira. The soft hum of her pan flute carried the sound of the notes over to Shu that would ensnare him in a genjustus.
Shu heard a soft melody, and smiled slightly. He closed his eyes, but when he opened them, before him were two copies of himself. He blinked in surprise, getting back off the ledge, when two more appeared. Then four more. He began to panic, as the seconds ticked by more, and more versions of himself appeared. . . He suddenly drew his sword, rushing at one of the phantoms, and attempting to cut through it. It dissapeared as his sword cut through it, and he ran to cut another. Shu stopped himself from running at another one, as he slowly thought about it. He decided that a water palm would be better for this, and he dispersed the mist in the distance, as well as his clone, to preserve his chakra. He preformed the handseals for water wave palm again, and sprayed the copies of himself, the water destroying them on contact. Shu's efforts were hopeless though, for everyone destroyed a new one took it's place.
While Shu was preoccupied, the clone snuck up behind him and grabbed his shoulder roughly with a smirk. "Found you" the clone said and let him go for a moment, silently counting the seconds that passed by. The real Nazari stood in the mist and observed his reaction time, seeing if he would choose to fight or flee from the situation.
Shu blinked in surprise after having his shoulder grabbed. After thinking about it for a second, he pulled out a kunai and stabbed at her, trying to hit the clone, luckily the clone was not as keen as the real Nazari which enabled her to be hit and thus breaking the illusion. He smiled as he saw the water on the ground where the clone once stood, and slowly came to realize; The clones weren't real, otherwse they would've broke into water when they were destroyed. Shu looked over at the illusionary versions of himself, and noticed there lack of shadows. Shu mentally punched himself, as he realized that he was under a genjutsu. He slowly closed his eyes, concentrating on the chakra around him, and the chakra in his brain. He felt his chakra being manipulated, and almost slammed his head into the ground out of desperation. "I'm an idiot." He proclaimed sadly, then calmly disrupted his flow of chakra, dispersing the genjutsu.
Nazari nodded as she saw him break out of the genjutsu, it would make him more interesting to train than just him unable to break free. The mist had all vanished now, leaving Nazari in plain sight and standing directly in front of him with her arms crossed. It was good that he chose to stay and fight, it showed that he was not afraid to do so and was a characteristic that a young genin should have. "Well?" Nazari asked calmly. He now had another five seconds to choose what to do before she attacked him without warning, if he chose to fight he would be faced with a near impossible to escape situation that be end of the game but if he chose to flee, then the game would continue. Although, not being afraid to fight is a good thing, he also needed common sense to tell him that he should not fight an enemy he cannot win against.
A look of contemplation crossed Shu's face as he considered the situation, but the face didn't last for long as he decided. Shu quickly jumped off the building, landing on a lower rooftop, before dropping to street level. He ran back towards the training ground, while at the same time making a water clone to run the opposite direction, hoping to confuse Nazari. Sweat began to drip from his hair, and his chakra reserves were already running low, so he was definetly in a difficult situaton. Shu reached the training field, and immedietly jumped into a tree, and layed down, his breathing uneven, and loud.
Just as soon as Kazen bursted away from the trainingground she was back. Nazari was already gone by then, Kazen didn't really feel like searching and had the idea of 'the culprint always goes back to the crimescene' but Shu didnt show up and if there's anything Kazen hates it's waiting. Kazen decided to get to the highest place she could find and scout the area from there. Instead of heading into the village she choose the hoghest treetop around the training ground and played around with Kaze Katana as she scouted the area around her.
She saw the mist in the village and Nazari heading there as well. although she really could not see anything it all, it was still interesting to watch. Eventually the mist disappeared and a small figure came running back to the training grounds and leapt into a tree. "how fun!" exulted Kazen, not loud enough for the genin to hear. Fast but silent she snuck up on him, resting with her back against the tree-trunk behind Shu she teasingly said his name "Shu-u-Ku-un" she winked "found you!"
Shu lost his concentration, and fell out of the tree next to Kazen. His clone collapsed in the distance, as Shu's body went limp. He groaned, and rolled over, looking up at Kazen with a look of hatred. "I don't think we're gonna be friends. . ." he said steadily, before standing up. Shu calmly unsheathed his sword, pulling it out easily, and facing the blade towards Kazen. He rushed forward at her, trying the trick he pulled on Nazari, and swinging before he got to her. His blade missed, but Shu spun, and brought the momentum of the sword towards her neck. Shu was swinging to kill her.
Kazen was a little schoked as the boy fell out of the tree and jumped down, about to ask if he was alright. He groaned ans rolled over, that was when Kazen realised she was not supposed to and would probably have to fight the boy. It seemed he had this intention as he made his statement and unsheated his blade. Kazen had her hands folded behind her back. As the boy attacked she did not move and inch as she saw the blade would not connect, he better not try the same as she swung Kaza Katana tho. As his sword swung by and further, she simply took one small step back so he also missed his second attack. Kazen drew her own blade and held it in front of her in reverse grip, taking a defensive stance.
Shu almost tripped when the second attack missed, barely catching himself. He stood up straighter, and seeing that she wouldn't attack him, he smiled. He sheathed his sword, and ran at her, and right before he reached her, did the hand seals for a water clone. The clone appeared beside Shu, and threw kunais to Kazen's right and left in case she tried to dodge. The real Shu pulled out a kunai, and stabbed at her stomach, hoping this would force her to fight.
Kazen was surprised as he sheathed his sword but kept hers out. he charged at her bare handed, not a really smart thing to do in her opinion. suddenly a clone appeared next him, both took out a kunai, as the clone throwed he tried to stab her. Kazen swung her blade blocking the thrown Kunai, waited for Shu to get as close as possible before making a three step turn to dodge and get behind him in one swift motion, putting a foot between his shoulder blade and give him that last extra push to make him fall flat on his face, unless he breaks the fall with his hands, but that would take a fast reaction time...
Shu hit the ground face first, a small rock cutting his left cheek. It wasn't a large cut, but it was definitely noticeable. Shu stood up and laughed, turning torwards her. "I'm glad you always focus on me," He said calmly, while his clone put a kunai right behind her neck. Shu pressed his hand to his face, and saw the blood, and frowned. "You are really. . . really fast." He said, "Half your movements i cant even see, but you get excited easily. You remind me of a child who's given a knife. You get giddy, and expect everyone to share your interest." He spat blood out of his mouth, and looked at her up and down with contempt.
Nazari wasted no time in getting to the training field to watch the sparring between Shu and Kazen, she already knew that Kazen had returned the the training field, her other clone had not lost sight of her. Arriving at the the training field, she stopped about a hundred yards away and stood on a nearby tree. Observing the ongoing fight, but raised an eye brow once Shu started to speak about Kazen, he wasn't wrong but it also didn't mean that he could speak out so boldly. Wondering if she should interfere to prevent any unneccessary actions, at the same time she knew they both needed to get along. If it wasn't possible on their own, then she would have to force them to work together like a team. She already knew how she was going to do that but would give them another moment to attempt it first.
As soon as Shu said the words "I'm glad you always focus on me" Kazen knew she got burned Shit! She forgot the clone! before she could counter it the cold steel was pressed againt her neck. IF he cut her there she would just get hurt, its not a place to make a fatal wound. But then Shu made a grave mistakehe started to talk badly about her: "...but you are excited easily. You remind me of a child who's given a knife. You get giddy, and expect everyone to share your interest." and then he looked at her in a way she didnt like. In a split second Kazen slapped his clone hard in the face with her arms swinging backwards, in the same time she dashed at Shu getting behind him and keeping him restrained, having her blade pressed against his adam's apple, almost leaving a small superficial cut, he better not swallow. She whispered in his ear, her voice cold: "Don't get cocky kid, we are not equals, not by a long shot. Maybe my ways are a little different than what you are used to, but I am your sensei and you will treat me with respect! GOT IT?!"
Once the last of Kazens rant like tantrum was finished, it was too late to stop Nazari from acting on her thoughts. Putting her flute to her lips, she let the soft lullaby of the notes carry over to them, her voice soft as she whispered into the air "Lullaby of the Stars." The sweet and soft tune would force them into a calm state, before enducing a trance that would only be stopped if the genjutsu was broken, time appeared to slow down and the sky darkened, soon if the two did not act, they would be asleep. She hoped they would be able to get over themselves before that happened but if not, then she could end it.
As Kazen's stopped talking, Shu heard a soft melody play across his ears. He blinked in surprise, and his weight shifted to be pressed against Kazen, his body going limp, and his eyes glazing over. "Isn't that nice?" He spoke, his voice slow, and mechanical. Shu's breathing slowed, almost to a standstill. Shu yawned loudly, and his legs began to give out, a thin layer of darkness going over his eyes.
Soon after she was finished talking to her student the sky darkened and she heard a flute in the distance. Kazen knew this was a genjutu cast by Nazari, her mind bacame clouded and her body became heavy. The only thing that kept her at her wits was her anger. her anger against Shu that quickly made place for anger against Partner "Damn you Nazari-chan!" Kazen broke the genjutsu in an instant and walked over to her friend, leaving Shu standing there still under her spell "why'd you do that for?" she asked her co-teacher.
"Acting out on your student is unacceptable, worse than arriving late" Nazari stated forcing her voice to be calm. She was also irritated because it did nothing for their team work, which was the point of casting the genjutus in the first place. "Shu, the game is over. You both need to work on your tempers, in my opinion" Nazari said in her anger. "Unless you can convince me otherwise" she snapped at Kazen.
Kazen was about to open her mouth to go against Nazari but the look of her partner stopped her. She spoke to Shu and Kazen, undoubtedly Shu could hear her too, still in the genjustsu. Kazen sighted, she could not win this argument because she knew Nazari was right. She walked over to Shu, laid a hand on his shoulder and her other hand in front of her face, two fingers up "Kai" Shu broke out of the Genjutsu. Kazen squatted down to his level. "so... she is failing you now, apparently because we, you and me, can't work together. anyhow, she is planning to tell the Amekage on me unless we can convince her otherwise... any ideas?"
Shu looked up at her, groggily, and began to think. He sighed, and calmly said, "I haven't the slightest idea," his voice calm and honest. "We could always just kill her," He whispered to her jokingly. He wasn't expecting to fail so easily, and he definitely didn't want to. His dreams of being a ninja, that he had pursued so extensively were about to be crushed, and he couldn't quite comprehend the situation. He closed his eyes, slowly, his thoughts drifting emptily. A small drop of blood finally made it's way to the end of his face, and dripped off his chin.
Kazen listened to the young boy in front of her "We could always just kill her," he said to her. Kazen lived up "yes! yes, that is a good I- wait, what?" She saw him saddening and noticed the small stream of blood running down his face. Kazen sighted she was not one who could keep angry at someone for long. She took out her first aid kit, cleaned his face with some iodine and a sterile napkin and placed a bandage on the wound, preventing more blood to come out. "I think I know something that might please her" said Kazen with a slight smile.
Nazari was watching the couple from a distance, she didn't really want to fail Shu but she needed her team to work together and knew that would go for her too, but it seemed Kazen and Shu had more trouble getting along than she had. She saw Kazen get really excited about something Shu said but she saw him shake his head. At least they were conspiring, that was good. She raised a brow, surprised by Kazen when she saw that she took out her first aid kit and cleaned Shu's face with a sterile napkin and treated his head wound.
Shu looked at her curiously, as she treated his cut. He blushed slightly, and it was doubtless that didn't help her effort. When Kazen said she had a plan, Shu looked up at her inquisitively, his eyes held more then appreciation. . . They held a bit of a respect.
Kazen looked at him and smiled, she did not fail to notice the little blush on his face. she could be nice when she tried. "it seems Nazari wants us to show some teamwork, how about we fight each other fair and square? no shenanigans and no getting carried away by our feelings. working together also means respect for each other, even if you are pitted up against them as your opponent, we need to get along and that needs time, I understand that, but I believe we can make it happen" Kazen stood up and put up a fist up before sticking it out to him and winked with a smile "Let's do this!"
Shu blinked in surprise at her suggestion, not quite understanding how fighting would prove teamwork, but he played along anyways. "Lets do it," he said, nodding in agreement. Shu smiled as he pulled out his scimitar carfuly, ready to fight her fairly, and walked a small distance so there was a gap between them. He glanced up at Nazari, wondering if she would approve of the fight.
Kazen liked the spirit of the boy and jumped back a few meters as well. Kazen placed both her hands behind her back taking out two kunai, one in each hand. With a quick wrist movement Kazen hid the left kunai in her sleeve making it not visible for Shu and pointed the right at him. Kazen shifted her feet and took on a stance that could both be offensive and defensive. She smiled brightly "hit me with your best shot Shu-kun!" she called out to him, her actions would depend on him attacking from far away or at close range.
Shu nodded at her challenge, his mind quickly calculating what the best offense would be here. She seemed both offensive and defensive, so he couldn't quite tell what would be the best approach. He looked her up and down, looking for a crack in her armor something that would lead to Shu's success. Her stance was too stable, Shu didn't see how he could surprise her. Shu deceded that a straight on assualt would be best, and began to rush at Kazen, his sword high above his head. Right before he reached her, he swung forward, his sword quickly falling torwards Kazen's head.
Kazen smiled as he rushed forward "That attack packs a lot of strenght but you are wide open" to illustrate this Kazen threw her kunai at him, cutting a piece of his clothes near his armpit and just before he reached her she took a quick step forward with one hand against the hilt of his sword, keeping it from falling down and her other hand holding a the previously hidden kunai to his throat. They stood like that for a moment before Kazen jumped back another 12 feet "again" she called.
Nazari watched on the side as the fight began but a second later, she walked to the middle and put herself between them. "Thats enough for now, you will have other chances to make amends with each other, I am sure this won't happen again" Nazari said calmly.

Unusually for the Village Hidden in the Mist the skies were perfectly clear for once. The odd songbird whistled in the background while the wind played with the grass. As the sealed casket was slowly lowered into the grave, sunlight reflected off it's black polished surface for the last time.
Such a poor dramatisation, Kichiro mused, it should have been raining for a scene like this. However if he was honest he preferred the sun lit funeral. Bright and cheery fit his mentor far better.
"Goodbye Sensei." his teammate intoned softly. For once Mahiro had left his distinctive heavy armour behind, clad in sollemn black like the rest of the funeral-goers. It was honestly a bit confusing to see the giant boy without at least one large obvious piece of metal on him. Kichiro glanced over at his other teammate, the silent Harumi. She too was dressed formally for the occasion. Far too formal, he reflected. As a relation of his sensei stepped up to cast the first bit of earth down into the grave, Kichiro confided in his teammates.
"This is wrong." he said simply.
"... Sensei's dead Kichiro." Mahiro replied. Kichiro faltered but continued on.
"I know and we are not seeing her off properly." he said. Mahiro's eyes flashed dangerously, but he carried on.
"Think about how Ryoko-sensei acted, how she was, what she would have wanted. Look around here. Black, depressed, muted? I propose we return here once the official proceedings have been completed and then truly say our goodbyes, like we want to say them and how we want to say them. For me that will be festively, in full colour and splendour." he said quietly. While he wanted to wave and jump about with full emphasis on certain words, he respected the other funeral-goers saying goodbye in their own way.
"You're batshit insane." Mahiro replied and Harumi nodded once in agreement. Kichiro did not care in the slightest.
"I am me, and to close on this note feels like an insult ratter than a gesture of respect." he said uncharacteristically seriously. For the first time since their Sensei died, Mahiro smiled genuinely even as tears still rolled down his face.
"I never said I disagreed." the swordsman said.
The sun had just cleared the horizon when they returned the following day, shining down on fresh wisps of the mist that gave the village its name. To the surprise of both boys, Harumi was actually the one that brought Sake.
"See that sensei, your ploy to corrupt her has finally paid off." Mahiro said jovially to the gravestone. His armour clinked as he raised his glass in a toast.
"Indeed. Our fair maiden, now at last fallen to decadence and corruption through your loving influence. Who knows what depths she will steep to now that she is no longer fettered by chains of morality or good taste." Kichiro added as he placed one foot forward, leaned back and held out his cup like the world's greatest pearl as he too toasted. Harumi hid herself between her broad rimmed hat and the high collar of her brown great-coat.
"S'wrong." she defended herself quietly as she toasted as well. The three drained their cups in unison, and promptly made their tastes known in unison.
"EYEEURGH!"
"Definitively an acquired taste." Kichiro managed, as he hopped back on a single leg.
"And now I understand why Dad forbade me to touch this stuff." Mahiro agreed through teary eyes.
"Sensei... liked this?" Harumi asked in confusion.
"Apparently drank it like water." Mahiro said. A short silence descended over the three of them.
"Now THIS is goodbye Sensei. For real this time, no formal corset to force us into unnatural poses. From the bottom of my heart, from my true being... from the actor behind the mask. Fare thee well where ever your journey takes you now. I did not forget your lesson, rather than say in grief that you are no more I will live in joy that you once were." Kichiro bowed deeply to the grave.
Harumi stepped up next, and silently poured the remaining sake over the grave. "It's the circle of life... but it still hurts."
"I'm not the smartest. I'm not... that good with words like Kichiro is." Mahiro said next, as he struggled with the words. With a wordless angry scream he suddenly punched the ground.
"I can't. Just have you leave like that. You were supposed to be invincible damnit!" he raged. Exchanging a brief look, Kichiro and Harumi simultaneously laid their hands on his shoulder. Said shoulders shook as Mahiro sank to his knees.
It was quite some time before they finally left the graveyard.

Keeping an eye on the key.
Sitting in her room, Asami watched the crystal ball. It revealed the images of what was happening with Midori and her team. They were acting like Asami had anticipated. First they weren't able to directly react to their situation. But soon it seemed that they had decided to let Reyna chase after the bird. It surprised Asami a bit. They had put up all their hopes on the least experienced genin of the team. Quite a mistake, but Asami wasn't interested in Reyna's actions. Michi would keep that genin busy. Her main goal was Midori. Of course, Deidara had to help Midori. But he was poisoned as well, thus he wouldn't be much of help. The poison would only grow worse as time would pass.
Then she noticed what was very strange, but also interesting. The telescope technique revealed through the mist that Midori performed a technique. The Ink Clone technique? Asami leaned forward, her attention now all focused on what would happen. Michi had once reported that Midori had been trained by a clone. Which was very weird. A clone that could perform a technique the original couldn't. That and hopefully now Asami could see if the report of Michi was right. The ink clone seemed to be normal. Only then turning around to try to attack Deidara. Leaning back, Asami knew enough.
The report of that Midori had been trained by Gyuki was now not only true. That girl had found a way on how to provide something even more interesting. She could pass control of a clone to the Eight tails. A smirk crept on Asami's lips. Then slowly she started to laugh. Very soon she would close her grip on Midori. And when that time would come, she would have her answers. Now it was time to also pay attention to those who were close to Midori. To ensure nobody would ruin her plans!

The speed would have surprised Michi. Only the sparrow had already take to the air when Deidara had summoned a mist. The sparrow wasn't deadly in combat, so it had to use his wits to survive combat situations. Flying higher to get out of the mist, the sparrow noticed Reyna. ''Is that all? I have seen snails who were faster than you.'' Michi tjirped. Normally, Michi wouldn't resort to trash talk like that. But he knew that he had to lure away Reyna. The farther away the better. Making a turn in the air, Michi was heading towards the east. Hopefully Reyna would follow Michi or else both Deidara and Midori wouldn't receive the antidote. A hospital wouldn't be an option after all. Lady Asami had arranged that both the poisoned friends and team members of Reyna wouldn't get any help there. They wouldn't even be allowed into the building.
The day started at fifteen past six exactly. It was when her alarm went off and she had to force herself out of bed. Before the clock would strike thirty she had to be out of the house and on her way to get fresh bread. Nami tied her hair up into a loose bun as she sneaked past the two other children that were sleeping in the room with her. Their open eyes, woken up by the ringing sound of the alarm clock, were the only things that followed her before they would close again after verifying that she was the only thing that had disturbed the chamber. Nami didn't smile at them and slipped into the hallway without making a sound.
He didn't like it when they made noise in the morning.
Besides the rest needed to sleep. Carefully Nami closed the wooden door behind her. There was a fault in the door and it had to be pulled up a bit before you could actually close it. In the two year she had lived here it had become second nature. Her hand left the door handle almost solemnly as if she was leaving something behind and she walked with quick light steps through the misty streets of Kirigakure. Though it was hard to see Nami navigated without a problem through the small alleyways.
Soon she had acquired the bread and was on her way back. Breakfast had to be served latest at seven fifteen because the others needed to go to the Academy. Classes started at eight.
Nami was greeted by Hotaru, her tiny little stepsister. She was wearing flowerpins in her jumpy brown hair today and their petals moved in the soft breeze when Nami entered the living room. Hotaru was busy putting the plates and glasses on the table. Soon the rest would come tumbling in. They would eat breakfast and leave to do the business of their day. Normally she would stay in later, she was the oldest, next to Father of course, so she would clean the house.
But not today.
Father entered the kitchen were Nami was slicing the bread in managable parts and placed his hand on her head. Nami, who knew it was he who had entered, smiled slightly and looked up. A pair of slightly dopey eyes greeted her. They were stark grey. She owed those eyes so so much. He was the father she never had. He was the man that helped her grow. He was the one that took care of her now even though she still had to fend for herself. But she had a home now and she couldn't begin to explain how good it was to have a home. And he was the one who had given her that. It was something that could not be repaid.
"Yes Father?" She asked him politely. Always respect Father, that was rule number one in the house and everyone knew it.
"Go join the others Nami." He said. "Today I'll serve breakfast."
Nami stared to him for a second. What should she say? She was never to argue with the man, but this was... She placed her knife down and nodded before wiping her hands on her apron. "Yes Father." She said and left the room.
They were all there. The four children that had arrived into this home together with her. They all sat up straight and were waiting. There was some jibbering between Toru and Fushimi, the small boys of eleven were always poking fun of each other. Yukio was way to young to understand so he just watched them. He was only six after all. They all fell silent however when Nami entered and gave her a questioning look. She told them breakfast would come soon and sat down without saying anything else.
Yesterday she had gotten the message that she had a team now. She was a Genin that was part of a Team now. How strange. Father had told her that she had to do her best and Nami was going to follow that order. She had to do better then her best. But he also told her something else. Something concerning the way she always knew which people were in the room. It was to be their secret and she was not to tell anyone. So she promised of course. She would always promise. If Father didn't want anyone to know that that was fine. She had always kept it a secret.
They ate the breakfast Father made and cleaned the house together as a real father and daughter. They were chatting and drank tea at eleven. When that was done he even walked her to the door and smiled to her. This was a big step, was what he said. He wished her good luck. Nami couldn't help but smile and feel proud. He had so much faith in her while she didn't even have that herself. How could he be so sure when she wasn't even sure herself? It felt good, having someone believe in you like that.
Then she left the house. There was still quite a bit of time before she had to be with her new team and so she had asked Father if it was okay if she visited Nagi before that. He had said that that was fine and happy Nami started a jog towards the cemetary where her brother was burried. He was not really burried there but Father had set up a stone. He had done that for her so she could visit her brother when she wanted to. Again she felt that wave of gratitude.
The graveyard was quite empty today even though the sun tried to brighten the place by pushing all the clouds aside. In the distance she could see three teenagers drinking at a grave. She didn't wonder who they had lost since she really didn't care. Sighing she sat down before Nagi grave and pulled her knees up to her chest. She stared to the name ingraved in white stone and pondered. Nagi had always been different from her and she wondered if - might he was watching now - if he would approve. He better, she thought.
This was the best thing that had ever happened to her.

Rini tried to use a technique to assist Sho as he advanced toward Kira, but somehow managed to mess up. The short kid was sent sprawling underneath Kira, allowing her to land safely. The wind technique was mostly blocked by her own teammate, but Kira felt some of the impact just before landing, which pushed her a bit further back than she had planned to land. But she sustained no damage, so all she had to do was keep note that Rini had some range to her offense. As soon as she touched down, she ducked low and pulled her sword partway out of the sheath. By yanking again with the wire that had the fuuma shuriken, she got it to wrap past the handle of her blade, making the wire shorter. In this same motion, she also spun around to face Sho, using her rotation as well as the yank on the wire to bring the fuuma shuriken back around. In the short path, it moved faster, bringing it across and slicing through the water whip he sent her way. Kira had already analyzed the situation before the battle had even begun. The red-haired kid is the bigger threat. With the water whip dispatched, Kira gave a brief hop, to allow the wire to pass under her to bring the fuuma shuriken around for a second pass at Sho. But this time, she advanced toward him to bring him in range of the arc. While it would seem that she was completely ignoring Rini, the truth wasn't that far off. She was paying attention, since she knew she was between two foes, but the majority of her focus was on the hyper-offensive Sho.

Listening to the Amekage's words, Hoshi looked with somewhat surprise when Eiji tried to object. She was aware him and Yoshikuni had been in the same team for quite some time now, but she wasn't too sure if he should've let that cloud his judgement so easily. He should've realised what was at risk here. After Ryoku made it clear that Eiji needed to go bring her, he gave Hoshi the order to go and set things up "Will do, Ryoku-sama." She said and headed out with the two jounin, and soon enough about 40 jounins would come with her, some to aid the ANBU that were trying to keep the Yonbi at its place, and some to help in sealing the beast into Yoshikuni. She wondered what made Ryoku choose her out of all the genin, but she figured he had his reasons "We will be able to begin setting up in a couple of minutes. All those who need to go help the ANBU, increase your speed and go help them. We need to make sure the Yonbi cannot go beyond the barrier, and we will need to have another way of making it stay still." Hoshi said, and 15 out of the 40 jounins would jump ahead.
"The ones going to aid the barrier, make sure to be ready to use anything you can to try and make the Yonbi stop in its place." Hoshi instructed, and five other people left the group as they moved faster. After a couple other minutes there would be 8 people on the barrier, and after letting some of the shinobi into the barrier, A few would do earth jutsus, attempting to force the Yonbi to stay in its spot by blocking its legs with an earth sphere that closed around the legs.
She was ready. She was definetly ready. Kuni raised her hands and formed the first seal to a jutsu before she was suddenly stopped by Eiji, who apologized to her and told her that they needed to go and that she will get a chance to fight some other time. She kicked the ground before noticing the strange smile Eiji made "Is everything alright, Eiji?" She asked as he begin leading her somewhere, and soon enough they were both outside of the building. She wondered what was going on and noticed a couple of jounins running out of the village and jumping away in the direction Eiji was leading her, making her even more confused.

Watching as Midori created the Ink clone was somewhat surprising to him. He didn't know she could do that. But before he could begin speaking, the clone came at him and punched him, making him stumble back. He wiped his cheek, feeling a bit of blood on it, and then looked at the clone. He knew Midori considered him to be a good friend, and she would never hurt her friends or family. But that didn't mean the Hachibi felt the same "So, you can take control over her clone. I can't help but wonder how that works, but nevermind that for now." He whispered to the clone before looking at Midori and moving back nect to her "Also, nice to finally meet you, in an indirect way. Guess I will go ahead and do the same." Deidara said before doing a few seals and spitting out water from his mouth.
The water would form a second Deidara which stood next to the Ink clone of Midori, who then looked at it for a second before heading out, aiming to reach Renya and aid her. The clone didn't feel the full effect of the poison, but it still had a slightly blurry vision and somewhat weakened senses, making it a bit difficult to find Renya as he searched for her and Michi.
The real Deidara looked at Midori and then her Ink clone "So, any other ideas? Unless you want to punch me again." He said with a slight annoyed tone, wondering what would make the Hachibi want to punch him in the first place.

Odd would be the word that Tsubasa would use to describe the way her day had gone so far. Being summoned to Meisa’s office, only to have her instruct her to go and train with Fushichō. Tsubasa wasn’t surprised that she knew, but she as more surprised by the fact that she was ordered to train. Stepping into her small apartment, Tsubasa worked the transportation scroll off her waist and settled it on the floor. Placing her hand at the center of the scroll. To be honest she was excited, but if Fushichō or Meisa caught wind of that she would probably regret thinking it. Releasing the scroll Tsubasa disappeared in a cloud of smoke, trying her best to hider her excitement.

As the smoke cleared, Tsubasa could see the morning just entering the cave with the light glow of the bright orange sun. Deflecting off the sun below, giving the cave a slight glow of the morning sky. Her feet sinking into the sand lightly as she put weight on them, Tsubasa stood up from her crouching position. Looking around a faint smile on her face grew. This place was like a second home to her, where she was introduced to new concepts as well as ways to control her chakra. Looking ahead of her, she saw the next intended place for Tsubasa to visit. A long hallway, with seemingly more etchings on the walls along it stood before the young woman. On a tombstone to the left of the entrance, lay an odd garment Tsubasa didn’t quite recognize for a second. It was a hooded cloat, with no sleeves and an odd scar on it. Picking it up she noticed that it would fit into her armor well. It was the deep crimson that the last one was, as well as the golden trim that seemed to mimic the subtle golden glow of the carvings. The designed were slightly different from the ones on the walls, but only with more sweeping arcs and feather-like details. “This must have been the reason, she asked for a sketching of the new armor breast plate when I created it.” A giggle faint could be heard from within the tunnel. Tsubasa straightened her back as peered down that way, seeing a small silhouette grow larger as it moved closer. Figuring she couldn’t wear the garb without layering it under her armor, she began to unfasten her breastplate and belt.
“Is the garb to thine liking? I’m quite proud of thy work on it. The designs are rather…. novel.” Fushichō leaned up against the one of the walls eyeing the carvings with a faint expression of longing. Her fingers were stains with the same golden reflective material as on the walls and the cloak. Tsubasa slowly slipped the cloak on and straightened out the fabric across her body. “Their very organic. Very free form and original. I’m more interested in how the robes integrate with my armor though. I may just have to take this back with me….” Fuchichō smirked and stepped toward the taller woman. Tsubasa looked the phoenix’s human form up and down, taking note of her bust and hip size with a hidden envy. “If thou passes thine next test, thou art welcome to take them.” She said looking at her student with a determined face smirk. Tsubasa could exactly place why, but she found the comment reassuring.
Turning around, Fushichō gestured Tsubasa to follow as her hair began to flare with a white light. “Today, thou shalt look on these walls and meditate on the ideas of permanence, reclamation, and rebirth. How does the energy and ideas of the past affect the present? Is anything actually permanent? I shalt meet thee at the end. Take thine time, my student.” As she finished her speech, her aura settled and she retained her bird form. Flapping her wings, she quickly flew down the long hallway slipping out of Tsubasa’s sight.
Looking to the wall closest to her, she quickly recognized the mural. It was the same illustration she had seen in the ruins, about the small, but prosperous society living in harmony among the phoenixes. Eyeing the next mural, she noticed that the phoenixes and the robed humans separated instead of together or intertwined like in the murals before. The humans seemed to be huddling over a small symbol. It looked like an odd, black summoning circles with a stick figure human at the center. The phoenixes appeared to exhibiting gestures of sorrow, as they seemed to follow the sun. In the next mural, we finally saw a full picture of the main city of the society. Built at the summit of a small mountain, their walls seemed to be built tall with small gates and elevators around. Flying toward the sunset, the phoenixes flew off into the sunset, still sharing gestures of sorrow and sadness. The human’s robes changed to a dark, blackened color with a white trim as the seemed to be constructing something along the city walls. In the next mural it showed the city being lifted into the air by large, black machines on the city walls as it flew toward the sea, leaving a large crater in the mountain. The only thing that remained was a large tower with the same designs as the murals, seemingly of the phoenixes. The machines on the side of the now floating city gave off large plumes of smoke and dust, as it continued toward the sea. In the next mural, it showed the city sinking into the sea, staining the water black around it.
The next mural seemed different from the others, drawn with more swooping and fluid style. Just from the siding alone, Tsubasa could tell that a different artist had drawn this. It showed a lone phoenix descending from the sun and flew over its previous home. Only the very top of the tower was visible, as the rest was covered with a large glacier. The majority of the crater had been eroded away by the glacier, excepting one corner of it making a new peak for the mountain. Around the peak had formed a small collection of clouds that seemed to remain to mask the peak. The phoenix settled itself upon this peak and waited.
The next mural was oddly enough the same excepting one difference. Next to the singular phoenix was an odd glowing light, which seemed to be depicted with a crystal in the mural. It gave no explanation of the crystal.
The next mural was also an artistic departure from the previous murals. At the center stood a man wearing an odd necklace with six tomoe and rippled purple eyes. One of the tomoe was aglow with the colors of a flame with golden trim. Tsubasa knew the man in the mural only from legend and seemingly from her teacher. The mural was of the Sage of the Six Paths, however he seemed younger than he was usually depicted in legends it also showed that the only tomoe made in color was a black and white one at the opposite end of the necklace. He also seemed to be missing several of his sacred items. In the four corners of the mural, it showed him in several different situations. One showed him sliding down a sand dune while the intense rays of the sun beamed down on him. The next showed him walking through a dark cave, his eyes glowing in the darkness. Tsubasa soon realized that he was going through the same trials she had been going through with Fushichō. The next trial showed him meditating in the center of a circle, seemingly with small flames surrounding him. The trial after than showed him trudging through the snow in a blizzard, but his eyes were no longer aglow as they were in all the other trials. She found it odd, but it appeared that his eyes were closed and…. Bleeding?
The next mural was much like the previous except the man at the center was different. His hair was black and he had a pair of sharingan. An Uchiha had been here however in the first trial it only showed a tombstone with a scarf. A bitter feeling sunk into Tsubasa’s stomach as she stared at the other blank trials and thought back to the tombstones she had seen up to this point. Continuing to look around at the other murals, with their tombstones dotting the trials. A Sarutobi, an Uzumaki, Naru, Aburame, Amagiri, Hyūga, Inuzuki, Shimaru and a list of other names that Tsubasa didn’t recognize. They all came and fell at some point in the trials. All excepting herself and the Sage… As she looked ahead down the tunnel she did not see any more murals and the ending of the tunnel. Turning her head to the last mural, Tsubasa gasped a bit.
On the first trial, the subject of the painting skated along the sands, avoiding large fireballs. Her long hair flowing along in the wind. The second trial showed her standing with her large sword in hand, yelling at the darkness. The next two trials were clear… with nothing drawn in them. Looking at the young woman in the center of the mural, Tsubasa saw herself. Her vibrant pink eyes and hair. Her sleekly designed armor and blades, glowing gold and silver. The maroon sash on her waist. The fitted robes and hood given to her. Tsubasa was moved by the fact that she was on the wall at all. There was something different about the mural though. The designs seemed to mimic her cloak’s, with sweeping golden trim and the new added color of silver. Tsubasa looked above her own head in the mural to find a fifth trial… She was sitting on the side of the mountain with her hands held together, with burning wings sprouting from her back. They were small and kind of hard to distinguish from just simple flame. Tsubasa also noted something on her own face. She was crying.
“Thou gaveth until it pained you and sought more. Your presence changes the stakes of all the challenges. You’st appear to thee as an ever-changing thing.” Fushicho said standing behind Tsubasa. She surprised and startled, Tsubasa tried to turn around but stumbled as she shifted her weight. Falling back against her own mural, she looked up at her white haired teacher. “Fu-F….Fush?” She calmly knelt down in front of her, lightly brushing Tsubasa’s bangs out of her face. “Thou art about to begin the hardest trial. Thou may feel pain beyond imagining or experience something wonderful… which one I can not say…” She said as stood up and slipped her hand down Tsubasa’s chin. Gesturing to help Tsubasa up, Tsubasa took the hand and slowly stood up and looked down on the bustier ‘female.’ Tsubasa looked toward her teacher with a worried look. “I’d be lying if I said I liked pain… but is this all really necessary? I’m just here to learn… I don’t need fancy murals or paintings.”[b] Fushichō smiled a bit, only to have it sink a bit after thinking about what was to come. Placing a hand on her shoulder and directing toward the exit of the tunnel, Fushichō’s changed to something more chipper. “ The fact that thou see thineself as nothing more than that is exactly why thou deserves to be upon that wall. Thine predecessors only saw thee as a means to an end, to attain glory and etch thine names upon the walls of time. Of course, they got what they wished and soon perished for they lacked something. Something I have not been able to name nor should it be. It can’t be taught, but it can be honed.” Walking through the threshold of the tunnel, Tsubasa’s eyes slowly adjusted to the small amount of light within the chamber. The large circular chamber seemed to extend upward toward the sky with an open top that let small bits of sunlight into the tall chamber. “Welcome to Megalis, last remaining relic of a long lost civilization. Settle in here and meditate. Think on everything thou hath learned from thine past visits. Then let everything drop away for a while and simply think on thine breathing. Then… when thou feels that thou art ready, try and pull in what energy thou feels surrounds thee. If this is a success, join thee at the top.” Fushichō said in a low tone before taking her bird form and flying to the top of Megalis. Tsubasa’s brow furrowed, but she settled herself at the center of the chamber and began to breath.

Calmly closing her eyes, Tsubasa began to slow down her breathing and considered what she had done so far. First she met Fushichō atop the summit of the mountain where she learned to use one of her most used abilities. It was peculiar but she recalled that she taught her about energy and how it mimicked love. Small bits of dust began to swept up in the light breeze that seemed to be working it’s way around Tsubasa. After her meeting on the mountain, she met Fushichō in the desert below where she avoided her fire as she crossed the expanse of sand. Once in the oasis she learned about how interconnected the world was, despite what people wished to believe. The lands, the villages, and Kage, all followed the same rules or… rhythm. The small breeze began to pick up and became more of a gust, moving Tsubasa’s bangs and robes about with the same circular flow. Then she stepped into the dark caves of the mountain, looking at the old ruins and facing a beast that made her shiver just by thinking about it. She learned the potential of fear as well as its weaknesses. The wind continued to pick up, beginning to whistle as it picked up speed, throwing Tsubasa’s hair and cloth about as she remained completely still. Finally she came here and learned of who came before her. First the civilization and then all the other students. All lost to their own hubris and unable or unwilling to simply listen and attempt to understand. She began to think on what Fushicho said to her at the beginning of the hallway. First the civilization that sank into the see. They seemed to forget the teachings of the phoenix and perished because of it. Then the other students lost themselves because they saw the teachings as a means to an end. It all seemed so simple at the time, but all together it seemed to point toward something larger. The wind continued to wiz around Tsubasa until… she finally heard it. It was faint, but it seemed to be coming from the top of Megalis… no. Farther than the top. She could almost sense it at the summit, pulsing with some kind of beat. Each beat resonating across the mountain and hitting her with the little energy it had left. Bump… Bump… Tsubasa could feel something else around her apart from the bumping energy of the peak and the wind. It was like a weight, pushing at her at all sides. It felt familiar and new all at the same time, rippling with the bumping and circling with the wind. As she inhaled, it contoured against her body and was slowly pushed away as she exhaled. She felt it tingle on her skin either from it’s warm or cold touch. She could not tell which. Soon an idea popped into Tsubasa’s head, which was all too tempting to try. Taking a deep breath, Tsubasa allowed a large amount of natural energy to enter her body.

Tsubasa began to feel warmer, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. All of her senses began to feel stronger. She could hear the exact points where the wind whistled. She could feel it run through her hair and fingers more ‘vividly.’ She could smell what remained of the morning dew on the sands. Her heart pumped loudly in her chest as she continued to breath as though she was meditating. Slowly standing up, Tsubasa opened her eyes and was surprised by what she saw. She was ablaze. Her hair, her robes, her armor, her body all engulfed in flame. Though surprised, Tsubasa was not scared. A large grin grew across her face as she looked to the top of Megalis. The wind still swirling around her, Tsubasa began to channel chakra to the back of her boots. Releasing them in a constant burst, Tsubasa was leaned forward and she began to move around the chamber in a circle, mimicking the wind. As she picked up speed, Tsubasa’s grin developed into a large smile. She had never gone this fast before, and she couldn’t help but feel that she could do even more. Channeling more chakra into the back of her breastplate, she looked toward the walls. Jumping toward the wall, Tsubasa places both her boots against the stonewalls and released the chakra on her back in another consistent burst. Riding the walls, Tsubasa slowly began ascending the large tower of Megalis, leaving a scorched path as she went. Tsubasa felt like she had almost and unlimited supply of chakra, but as she started to reach the top, she began to feel something else. Finally reaching the top, Tsubasa was flung from her circular motion and skid across the stone platform at the top of Megalis. Looking on in shock, Fushichō yelled out. “Stop!” Confused, Tsubasa could feel something literally burn off of her but she couldn’t tell what. Normalizing her breath, the flames quickly subsided and suddenly, Tsubasa felt extremely weak. Dropping to a knee, she began to pant. Fushichō quickly rushed over and hugged Tsubasa. It was then that Tsubasa finally realized when had burned off of her.
She felt weaker, not just because she exerted herself, but in total weaker. She had burned away an eighth of her chakra capacity. Just gone in an instant. Looking around, Tsubasa noticed a small crystal ball at the center of a large door. It showed no indication as to where the door went and the door had no markings apart from the crease where the two stone slab doors met. Looking down at Fushichō, Tsubasa noticed that she was crying and mumbling the same phrase. “Not to her… Please not to her…” Tsubasa slowly wrapped her hands around, Fushichō. [b]“F-Fushichō?” Tsubasa said timidly. Trying to pull herself together Fushichō wiped her eyes on a bit of Tsubasa’s now charred robes. “Thoust hath attempted to enter Sage mode, but it would seem, despite everything we have done, thou doth not have the ability.” She sniffled a bit and looked Tsubasa in the eyes with a serious face. “Thou shalt never attempt that again and I am afraid…” She paused looking down at Tsubasa’s chest, clenching the robes on the chestplate. “Thou shall not be able to enter the next trial. I would not have you risk your life as you just did again.” Tsubasa didn’t quite understand what she just did or rather what she did wrong. “W-was it something I did? Was the stance wrong or… maybe I missed something in the tunnel… I-I could try again or…” Fushichō put a finger to Tsubasa’s lips and shook her head, tears starting to build in her eyes again. “Thou were perfect… One of the best… thou reminded thee of him so much, but… Thou lack something that cannot be given. Thine chakra reserves were too small. I suspected that you may be able to achieve it by mastering thine chakra control, but…” Her voice began to break. “Thou…” She buried her head into Tsubasa’s chest as she began to sob, her moans echoing through Megalis. Tsubasa sat with Fushichō in her arms, trying to think of what to say, but… no words came to her.

The Eight Tails, Hachibi.
The ink clone of Midori, threw a glare towards Deidara. He said nothing back. He had nothing to say against such an inferior live form. He just wanted Deidara to stay away from Midori. Noticing that the boy made a water clone, Gyuki felt the need to scoff. The fact he could move better in a clone body was due the quantity and quality of his chakra. It empowered the technique, to the point that he could move a bit better. To see Deidara trying the same made Gyuki think even lower of the boy. Midori. We need to get out of this mist. That and your friend needs to shut up. We're in a situation that we aren't aware who or what is around us. Neither of us are sensors, remember? Gyuki spoke in Midori's mind. He had no intention to co-operate with other humans, nobody else than Midori. That and the poison is going to become annoying. Even my chakra can't withhold it for that long. Probably they would have to find a way to drag him over there, though Gyuki wouldn't mind if they would leave him. It wasn't like he was of any value to Gyuki.

Rallying the team.
Hiron had heard the news of Miharu's capture. Then it went a bit wrong. But he kept himself calm and cool. There was no need for him to also command people around. All he did was to rally his team. Indirectly he would keep his team together as well trying to aid to the situation. Only problem was that he already had gained a reply back. Masami was kept back at the Hyuuga Compound. Of course, the Hyuuga clan had just to irk him. Grumbling, Hiron's mood was already dropping.
Now he was waiting in front of the main gate, for his other two students. It wasn't a meeting he had set up, but he was sure that he had made sure it was needed for them to gather up as soon as possible. Thinking about what they are going to do, Hiron realized that he would have to watch out what he was going to say. Revealing too much information wouldn't be good for either him or them. Placing his right hand on the hilt of his tanto, Hiron briefly checked if he could draw the weapon quickly. Putting it back, he wondered again if his students would show up soon. Time was of the essence now.
