[Omega Man]

Remember your characters are taking up the legacy of the heroes who came before. While 'Dropout' is a cool name, a new guy calling himself the Punisher is what I'm really looking for. Or if you wanna call him Outlaw like the black dude who's basically a European Punisher, that's fine.

I just don't want an entire cast of characters with very little or nothing to do with the legacy they're continuing. Some of the characters should actually be taking up the mantles of those who came before. Amadeus Cho's daughter for example could be a new teen She Hulk. Another clone of Wolverine could be running around calling himself Weapon X.

EDIT: @Pathfinder I saw after second glance the mentoring by an aged Castle. And being a dropout of the Xavier School [no Jean Grey school, just simplifies it a little]. What you've got's good so far. If the Punisher dies while mentoring him in his old age, Dropout should trade his shirt in for a black Punisher shirt.

Name - Jacob Grimm

Alias - the Thing

Age - 19

Powers -

Geokinesis: Jacob has increased strength and durability as well as the ability to bend stone and sometimes the Earth itself to his will. He can use this to rip up terrain with TK like force and throw it at enemies, produce stone shields and columns that come up from the ground, cause small earthquakes, create basic stone constructs like simple weapons/tools or large hands/gloves, as well as a complete suit of stone armor.

He can't fly on terrain he's ripped up but he could use chunks of stone and earth like stairs if he had to. Aside from that difference he's much like DC's Terra.

His maximum lift is around five tons without stone armor and small arms fire does little to no damage. With stone armor he can lift about 10-15 tons depending on the size of his rocky suit. The armor itself is only as durable as some of the stronger stone in the world.

Weaknesses -

The one large drawback is it takes concentration for the more fancy applications of his power. If he's a bit too emotional, or his mind or consciousness is being tampered with through telepathy or some drug induced attack, his powers are less likely to work.

BRIEF Bio - The nephew of the original Thing, Ben Grimm, Jacob...

Key Differences - He's geokinetic and isn't stuck looking like a monster.

Sample Story Arcs -

The Fantastic: Jacob tells his retired uncle about his powers. Ben helps him develop them further and gets an old prototype F4 suit for Jacob to use. Jacob's first superhuman battle comes in the form of an old creature of the deceased Mole Man who comes up from the ground in Central Park.

Hulk[s] vs Thing: A pack of wild Hulk like creatures has the older Amadeus Cho stumped, so he enlists the help of one of the stronger up and coming heroes to help him with the problem.

Guardian: The all new Thing continues to make a name for himself, but is shocked to meet a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy's past looking for his uncle.

Supporting Characters - Mole Man creature, Wild Hulks, Amadeus Cho, Ben Grimm, Flash Thompson.

Notes - Anything can be changed as far as my story arcs if any of the characters aside from Ben Grimm and the monster are needed elsewhere. Ben also has a theory his nephew's strength and durability are also kinetic based powers.

@The Kid Lantern I decided to alter Alexis a little. She is the daughter of The Vanisher. She inherited some of his powers but gained a weakness he didn't have.

How does she look now ?

Alexis Rufus

Name - Alexis Rufus
Alias - Shortcut
Age - 25
Powers - Teleportation: Shortcut possesses the mutant psionic ability of Teleportation. She is able to teleport both herself and a certain amount of additional mass over an unknown maximum distance almost instantly. Shortcut's teleportational range and the amount of mass she could teleport with herself remain unknown for she never tested going farther than 3 km.
Conscious Spatial Awareness: Shortcut possesses an instinctual extrasensory ability that prevents her from materializing all or part of her body within a solid object.

Weaknesses - Each time she uses her powers, a small dizziness overtakes her which gradually evolves into a headache and then a coma if she teleports too far. The farther she teleports, the stronger the dizziness/headache. Teleporting objects is harder than teleporting herself and 'thus the dizziness/headache installs faster into her.

Personality - Loyal, Wayward ( she likes to travel and never stay in the same place too much ), Cold-heartened

Experience - 1 year and 2 months

BRIEF Bio - Alexis was born on the streets on Bangkok. Found by a hooker on the streets, crying for food. She was raised by that hooker until the age of 10 when the hooker was found dead in a gutter, no one knew what happened to her. From then, Alexis's life went from bad to very bad. She fought other kids for food and eventually a local mob boss found her and gave her a job as a pickpocket. As years passed by, Alexis grew in the organization until eventually she killed the mob boss and took over it. At the age of 18, Alexis decided to leave Bangkok once and for all, abandoning the life of a criminal.

She boarded a plane to America and never looked back. Numerous scars on her body and one small scar on her left cheek made people avoid her and getting a job was hard for her. Eventually she got back to the old habits and started stealing from whoever she could.
Alexis was caught eventually by the police and was sentenced to 3 years in the jail. That's when her powers manifested.

Other convicts from the prison saw her as a threat and wanted to "teach her a lesson", they paid a few guards and Alexis's cell was opened in the middle of the night. They surrounded her and she tried to fight them off but they were just too many and she got a knife in the belly as a result. The adrenaline or a self conservation instinct kicked in and somehow...all the convicts disappeared from her cell and reappeared 30 meters above the prison from where they fell to their deaths. Soon after she collapsed as a heavy headache overtook her and slipped into a coma that lasted 2 weeks. When she finally woke up, she learned what she did but didn't believed it at first.

When she got out of the prison, she received a text that said " Now you may continue your father's work ". Not knowing what the message meant she tried to find out who sent the message. Her powers soon became more apparent to her and she understood that she is a mutant. She learned on her own how to use them and what she could do and not do.
As days passed, the hunger was installing herself into Alexis and she went again to the life of a criminal and because of her power, no one could catch her.

One day, when she was 24...Alexis was following what appeared as a rich guy to a warehouse where she could take everything he owned and disappear in a flash but when she entered the warehouse, her eyes couldn't believe what she saw. Children in cages, probably used as flesh labor. She didn't know what to do and wanted to leave but then a small girl that was in a cage bit a the rich guy and the guy took out a small firearm and shot her in the head, just like that. A flashback hit Alexis as she remembered the life on the streets.
She teleported to that guy and killed him very, very slowly for what he did. She freed the children from the cages and took up the mantle of a vigilante. Killing those that did horrible things to people while robbing them.

Key Differences - Alexis was born on the streets and lived a life of a criminal until one day, something happened and she turned vigilante.

Sample Story Arcs - The messages from the "mysterious source" continue and she searches eventually for the identity of her father.
- X-Men catch wind of what she's doing and comes to stop her and/or convince her to join the school/join the X-Men.
- Discovers an entire operation of flesh labor operation and stops it.

Supporting Characters - Police
- Beggars and people of the street
- Criminals that she spared in exchange for information

Notes - She has numerous scars on her body, including a scar on her left cheek made by a knife.

What kind of stories are you interested in telling?
Seems to me shrinking Spidey offers more classic hero stories, while Hybrid (or any symbiote) tends to lead to darker anti-hero stories.

Powers

Superhuman Condition: Amber's body-tissue, skin, muscles, bones, etc. is extremely dense/solid, allowing her to withstand harmful strains on the body such as crushing weights, impacts, pressures, changes in temperature, etc. She gained enhanced levels of strength and stamina, this is possible because of how hard her body has become, allowing Amber to resist tearing a muscle and/or her bones shattering easily.

• Superhuman Strength - She is capable of lifting up to 10 tons.
• Superhuman Stamina - The Goblin's enhanced musculature generates less fatigue toxins than the muscles of ordinary humans. She can exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to affect her.
• Superhuman Speed - The Goblin is capable of running and moving at speeds greater than that of even the finest Olympic athlete.
• Superhuman Durability The formula also fortifies all of Amber's bodily tissues, making them far tougher and more resistant to injury than normal humans. While Osborn can be injured by something along the lines of a knife or small conventional bullets composed of conventional material, she was very resistant to great impact forces and blunt trauma. She could withstand powerful impacts, such as falling from several stories or being repeatedly struck by a superhuman enemy, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no injury to himself.
• Superhuman Agility & Reflexes - The Goblin's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Her reaction time is enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural limits of the human body. She may be able to dodge single fire, but not automatic gunfire.
• Regenerative Healing Factor If injured, the Goblin's body is able to heal itself with greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. While not nearly as efficient as the healing powers possessed by Wolverine, she can heal from injuries that would prove lethal to an ordinary human.

Weaknesses

Still I Bleed - As stated above, though she can withstand high impacts, the Green Goblin can still be shot and/or stabbed much like the average human.

@Divine DarknessI liked it, but I'd like it more if you took out Gabriel Stacy from the supporting cast. The compacted history just makes that whole thing more convoluted and he's got a lot of baggage [and wasn't his mother a Gwen clone?].

[An Outsider]

Fuck it, I'll throw my hat into the ring. Got a few different concepts.

1.) An illegitimate son of Loki. Calls himself the Asgardian. Primarily uses illusion magic and cunning to trick his opponents, rather than trying to go mano-a-mano with them. Has taken up superheroics to try and make his human mother proud of him, and to get his mythical father to notice him. He's an older character I originally used in one of DrewVonAwesome's Rps, that unfortunately didn't go anywhere.

2.) A new Iron-Man, though this one is a full android, a design by an embittered Tony Stark to ensure that there is always an Iron-Man, and one with his own stamp on it (he hasn't taken being replaced by RiRi as well as could be hoped) This character isn't interested in being a superhero, much preferring to drink and party - who does that sound like? - but his programming doesn't allow him to ignore crises or crimes, and forces him to risk his own life to protect others.

3.) A female Union Jack. No big concept here, just like Union Jack.
