Recently, Lord Death has decided to create a specialized team of meisters and weapons, capable of accomplishing special missions entrusted to them by lord death himself. You are such a student, whose noted skills have made Lord Death aware of your worth.
Whether it was your intellect, technique, ingenuity or just overall levels of bad-ass, you have been chosen to be a part of Aegis.
Throughout the game, you’ll fight monsters of all freaky shapes and sizes, collecting artifacts and weapons (some of which I might let you keep.) With each new encounter, you’ll learn new things, add techniques to your repertoire and maybe change in unexpected ways (expect to LOSE LIMBS PEOPLE!!)

1. No attack makes contact, nothing is "too fast for them to see" and none of that "it was a move that couldn't be dodged" nonsense where one person tries to write another in a corner so they can't do anything.
2. Remember, you don't know what the other player is thinking.
3. No matter how much stronger you think you are, your attack doesn't automatically hit (that's not a thing we're gonna let happen).
4. If there's an attack you can't dodge, say it hit you. I don't want a bunch of arguments going on about how “unfair” it is that someone's dodging everything.

Losing is just as fun and interesting as winning, get creative and remember injuries don’t disappear overnight. We have a very wide range of options for characters and abilities but if you pick someone weaker than it'll take A LOT more work to fight someone who's exponentially stronger than you.

The prejudice of old are now things of the past and a new city where witches and humans gather together under Lord Death’s leadership has arisen. But things aren’t quite as great as they seem, madness is slowly growing in the darkness, seeping its way back into the real world to wreak havoc on the population’s sanity.

- Magic District- A new addition to the city made after a considerable amount of witches took up residence. It is home to Death City’s resident spell casters and home to new book stores and occult shops. This area is often treated with light trepidation by other Death City citizens because of the witch’s natural pull to destruction still being a cause of fear. There’s a barrier around this part of the city that stops magic from reaching the other areas unless allowed by Lord Death. It was created using a mix of magic and science so it requires people from both sides to deactivate.
- The AARI- Advanced. Alchemical. Research. Institute. This facility was created for the sole purpose of utilizing the joint intellectual fields of witches and humans, creating magic devices that are backed by scientific research. This alchemical reaction has provided us with such inventions as the teleportation system and the anti-madness field generators that allow witches to perform magic to full effect and cancel out madness to a certain degree. A lot of the science is actually based off of Medusa’s clown experiments with touches added to stabilize its structure.

Please be a fan of the show/manga (MANGA WOULD BE BEST) and have watched a lot of the episodes, I...I just don't want to do a lot of explaining...I'm sorry… We are both well versed in all things Soul Eater and we all have access to Soul Eater Wiki, so we can definitely answer questions about certain aspects you’re not sure of. Do not expect us to sit you down and retell the entire story and explain all the mechanics behind it. That’s stupid.
2. Obviously, no godmodding and no knowing things you couldn't possibly have known without a series of events around you. No metagaming, for godssakes no. This includes being untouchable in combat, reading people’s thoughts, knowing and reacting to events that your character can’t possibly have known about, any deus ex machina of any sort, and so on. Basically, common sense. We’re telling a story, not hacking a video game.
3. Don't make up events on your own. Events and history is really something I think the GM should be in charge of right? This is a linear storytelling style RP, with that said please do not hesitate to bring up your ideas to either of the GM’s via PM or through the OOC. We’d love to hear what you have to say.
4. Grammar/Spelling is a key point, please make sure you proofread your posts for grammatical errors before posting them. I will accept minor flaws but not a massive amount. We are human and fully capable of mistakes and editing.
5. Please try not to have too many absences. We understand that life happens. In a case where a player has 7 days of unexplained absence from IC and OOC, they will receive one warning- via a PM and @ mention. If the same player drags their feet again it will be an automatic boot without notification. This goes for collaborative posts as well. If your collab partner drops off the face of the Earth, you are free to write them out and finish a post. We do want to encourage healthy amount of activity in the OOC. Communication as always is key. I would rather you guys take your time with a post than just make something up but I also don't want you guys to go weeks without participating without an explanation. To that same effect if you do feel you are unable to keep up, lost interest, or real life is dragging you away please notify us. It’s courtesy.
6. Romance, is acceptable to a degree. This is an action/adventure RP there will be little focus on Slice of Life elements or Romance. Granted there will be time for players and characters to interact whether that grows into friendship or a relationship, it will not be the focus of this RP. This game is PG-13, these characters are primarily teens R Rated activities are checked at the door.

This said, I do want to establish a certain level of order on your capabilities in any given combat situation. Enemies will vary between fodder and high level balls of death. This is a set of rules and guidelines created to keep the combat in this game fluid while maintaining the fundamental/key aspects of Soul Eater, primarily the relationship between Weapon and Meister and how they (and you) should conduct yourselves in any combat situations.

A weapon who has transformed can’t move on their own, but they can still see and speak and feel significant amounts of damage. This means that the majority of what a weapon does will be talking and reacting.
Stick to these rules and you can have swift, fluid action sequences while respecting the lore and your partner. Please, do not hold a conversation with your partner before doing the most simplistic things, we will be here forever.
EX:Player M pulled his weapon up to block, knocking the spikes back into the ground, he dashed off just as a hail more fell from the sky before turning to smack the barrage away.

Player W Sighed in unison with his partner. “I hear what you’re saying, this guy isn’t going down.” Eyes flaring with the blaze of his soul, Player W let the rush of his meister’s soul wavelength connect with his own, synching up as their bodies and minds moved as one.
Player M pulled his weapon back, blade turning into an explosive ball of golden flames. “Let’s do this, SUPER ATTACK NAME, go!” He shouted before exploding forward, weapon raised above his head. With a swing, he smashed it against the demon’s skull, breaking it into pieces.
