Laketta is a slender black woman, standing at five feet seven inches tall and weighing in at a little over one-hundred thirty pounds. Her skin is beautifully brown. Her soft-curled, shoulder length hair is dense but yielding, and thick enough to lose your fingers in. Although having a head full of hair, Laketta prefers to wear her hair in protective styles (braids, weaves, wigs, etc.), which allow her hair to grow longer and healthier. There's a certain elegance in the way that Laketta holds herself: good posture, long confident strides and head held high. She often looks taller than her height of 5'7, considering that she's always wearing heels when she has a choice.

Her eyes are large and almond shaped, the brown of the iris so dark that it almost appears to be black. Her eyes are fringed with long, thick lashes. She has a short, delicate nose and perfectly arched, dark eyebrows. Her face is heart-shaped; she has high cheekbones and a pointed chin. Her lips are full and always covered with a clear lip gloss. When smiling, you can see that she has two rows of perfectly white teeth, a slight overbite present. Laketta often times finds herself applying a full face of makeup before work, therefore enhancing her natural beauty. She has helix piercings, conch piercings, tragus piercings, and lobe piercings in both of her ears. She has a septum piercing, as well. Laketta has a large number of tattoos covering her arms, neck, left leg, and a few more in hidden areas. She plans on getting more.

When it comes to her fashion sense, Laketta always dresses to impress. Her wardrobe consists of stunning pantsuits, dresses, blouses, and a large number of heels and boots. She likes to look her best everyday, and usually spends about two hours each morning making sure that there's nothing out of place. It's rare to see her in a state of disarray as she believes that she should always look prepared and presentable, especially when she's the most frazzled. When it comes to jewelry, Laketta likes to be a bit flashy. She'll always wear a large pair of hoop or dangly earrings, along with matching necklaces, bracelets, and rings.

If you had to describe Laketta in one word, most people would choose terms along the lines of "intelligent", "adamant" or "bossy". While she can't entirely deny any of those, Laketta considers the core aspect of her personality to be determination. Her intelligence is mostly based on her determination to do well. A textbook extrovert, Laketta loves to chat with people (unless she's having a bad day, in which case she still loves to talk, but she leans towards negativity and passive-aggression) and tends to be genuinely friendly. She does not shy away from talking to strangers.

Aside from being very friendly, Laketta is a perfectionist who has high standards for herself, and has a tendency to correct people and nitpick. She is confident in herself and her actions, often to a fault. She is very opinionated, has trouble asking for help, and hates admitting when she's wrong. When things don't go as she planned or in a positive direction, she can get frustrated very easily. Laketta has a bit of a "potty mouth," and uses profanity even when she isn't trying to. She also has a lot of trouble controlling her temper, and whenever someone pushes her to her limit, she'll snap; it will often result in her yelling a large number of obscene words, throwing objects, and even going as far as to get physical.

Despite all of her shortcomings, there's no denying that Laketta is extremely dependable. If you ask her to meet you somewhere, she will be there; if she promises to do something, she will do it; if you ask her for help, she will do everything in her power to assist. Underneath the frustrated sighs and eye-rolls lies a person who's kind and caring at the core. Any friends of hers will be able to see it, even if it's not immediately obvious to everyone else. Laketta is only truly mean when she's extremely frustrated or really dislikes someone. For the most part she's pleasant enough to be around and is usually willing to extend a helping hand to someone.

Laketta Lewis was born and raised in Harlem, NY, the youngest of three. Her father was a criminal defense lawyer, and her mother a pediatric surgeon. Because of her parents' busy schedules, however, Laketta and her brothers spent most of their time living with their Grandmother in Brooklyn. Because of this, the siblings never formed a strong relationship with their parents, and always preferred to chill out with Grandma. While her brothers eventually grew out of this, Laketta never did. While everyone else was out partying on a Friday night, she'd be sitting in the house with her Grandma watching Matlock.

Unlike her older brothers, Laketta was extremely introverted while growing up, and never made friends very easily. She'd spend most of her time, if not with Grandma, in her room, singing and writing songs. It wasn't until she was eleven that her Grandmother finally convinced her to audition for the school production of The Wiz. While her acting wasn't as good, Laketta's tremendous voice landed her the lead role. It was then that she started to break out of her shell. As she grew older, her acting and singing skills improved, as well as her social skills. She'd started to spend more and more time rehearsing or hanging out with friends, and less time staying home with Grandma. When Laketta was fourteen years old, her father got a job promotion, resulting in them having to move across the country to LA. The siblings were forced to leave their Grandmother behind, and never got a chance to see her before she passed away.

As Laketta grew older, she started to realize who she really was, and who she knew she wanted to be. Although she was finally starting to show who she truly was, in her parents eyes she was just "acting out." Instead of striving to become a doctor or lawyer like her parents wanted, Laketta focused more on singing and basketball. Instead of going to Church and being a "model Christian," she decided that she was not religious, but spiritual. Her parents finally drew the line when she brought a girl home from school in the eleventh grade and introduced her as her girlfriend. After kicking the girlfriend out of their "Christian home," Angela and George Lewis proceeded to beat Laketta until she bled, wanting desperately to "beat away the gay."

As a result, Laketta ended up moving in with her eldest brother, Leon, and his wife for the rest of her high school years. She got a job waiting tables to help them pay bills. Although her grades weren't superb, she did manage to snag a Basketball scholarship to a nice college in Ann Arbor. Once she earned her Bachelors Degree, she became a Librarian and is now pursuing her Master's. She still sings every other night at a choice lounge or bar, and is still chasing her dream of becoming a famous singer. She has not spoken to her parents since the incident during Junior Year.

Standing at 5'0", Luka is considered quite short for a male of his age and is often pointed out on this fact. However, Luka is proud of his height. He refuses to allow people taller than him assist him if he is unable to reach something. He will climb if he has too. Though he does get put out when people constantly point out the fact that he is short. Luka's hair seems to have a mind of its own, preferring to rest atop his head in messy curls. He does try to tame it but it resists his every effort and so he eventually just gives up and lets it do what it will. His eyes are a bright blue that turn slightly gray when he is upset. Luka's physique could be described as slender and even so far as calling it petite. He has some muscles but they are lean and compliment his small body. He weighs around 100 lbs and doesn't seem to gain weight no matter what he eats due to his fast metabolism.

Luka is normally described as a kind and caring individual. He tends to put others needs before his own and won't hesitate to help someone if he feels they are in need of assistance. However, this battles for his desire to remain out of the spotlight and not draw attention to himself. He has a difficult time reaching out and bridging the gap between himself and others. Despite all of this, Luka has a stubborn streak and will not budge if he sets his mind to something. He's not one to anger easily and he tends to shy away from conflict, much like a turle would retreat into its shell. Another trait of Luka's is that he has a bad habit of bottling up his problems. This stems from his previous relationship where his partner would always cut him off if he tried to speak about his problems and such, telling Luka that if he cared, he would have asked. Even if he is having the worst day imaginable he will still put on a smile and say everything is fine.

Strictly speaking, Luka should not be alive. After three boys, Luka's mother was warned she should not have anymore children as she had had problems when the twins Declan and Rion were born. But Rosaleen and Michael desperately wanted a baby girl. Against the doctors warnings, they tried for another baby. They prayed day and night and in August, Rosaleen missed her monthly cycle. Hoping against all odds, she went to the doctor and almost burst into tears of happiness upon discovering she was pregnant. When they discovered they were having another boy, they were disappointed but vowed to love him just as much. Throughout the pregnancy, Rosaleen and the baby were carefully monitored and thankfully so when Rosaleen went into labor on a cold December night, a good four months before her due date. It was a long and painful labor and there was a critical point where the doctors would have lost the mother and child if they had not preformed a C-section when they did. Both lived though Luka spent the first couple months of his life in the hospital on careful watch of the doctors and nurses. Because of his premature birth, Luka suffers from a weak immune system and can get sick very easily. He is also prone to ear infections and can have breathing problems if his body is worked too hard. Despite these complications, nothing stopped him from running around outside with his brothers.

The doctors had feared that Luka's growth would be stunted and his parents adopted this fear when he didn't get his teeth or much hair until he was two. As a child, Luka had always looked younger than he actually was and people in the shops were very surprised to see what looked like a toddler speaking in full sentences. However, when they started going to the eye doctor for annual check-ups, it was discovered that Luka suffers from monochromia, complete color blindness where the only colors he can see are black, white, and shades of gray. All in all however, he was a happy and bright child who adored his older brothers. His brothers adored him right back and didn't mind when he followed them around everywhere. Closer to his age, the twins were Luka's partners in crime where they got into all sorts of mischief. However, Cain was never far behind to get them out of trouble. With his condition, his brothers and parents did not treat him any differently. His brothers even tried to help by telling him what the color of things were; the sky is blue, the grass is green, etc. They even made a game were they would bring him objects like apples and such and he would try to guess what color is was. Luka was never burdened by his lack of color. Instead he accepted it as a part of himself and strove to not be brought down by it.

Danny is a tall young man who almost borders on the lanky side, with fuzzy black hair, brown eyes and a smile that quite a few people have called dopey. He’s a very twitchy person, always fidgeting and looking around, which combines with his height to make him seem a fair bit smaller than he actually is. As his profession demands, he’s basically 165 pounds of wiry muscle, well-trimmed and absolutely covered in bruises. His face is sharp and lean, with a neck that’s long by anyone’s standards and thin, heavy-lidded eyes. He’s often sporting a black eye or two, and his nose has a slight crook in it from being oft-broken in his youth.
Danny distrusts any event that requires formal clothing, and as a result his wardrobe is confined almost entirely to sneakers, tank-tops, jeans, sweat-pants, hoodies, and t-shirts. His favorite outfit is a beater and flannel, though he’ll be the first to admit it makes him feel like his dad.
