PILOT
Name: Larcen Fields 'Manhattan'
Age: 25
Height: 5'10
Weight: 175
Pilot Class: Fixer
Nationality:British-American
Appearance:
Bio: Born in Somerset, England on a military base, Larcen only knew of planes growing up. Around the time of his childhood Britain was fighting for the western European coalition, and Larcen's parents who were both engineers were stationed in a German military colony called Karlsland, while Larcen was attending a prep flight school in London. Around the age of 18 Larcen got the terrible new that Karlsland was now declared an enemy of the coalition and was heavily bombed before the foreign workers had time to evacuate, his parents were killed, and the English generals wrote it off as 'collateral damage'. Larcen was never patriotic, but this behavior sickened him, and he decided he wanted nothing to do with Britain or the WEC any longer. He stole a plane from his flight school and traveled to the war torn America to find his own destiny as a lone pilot drifter. For the next 6 years or so, Larcen would run with gangs, security teams and even some junkyard salvage groups along the east coast, mainly in the ruins in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Somehow, word of his abilities got to the New York government, and he was asked to represent a new noble freedom force, representing the borough of Manhattan.
Theme Song: Finding Futures
PLANE:
Name: Oda Series'Pepper Bird' Mk3
Plane Type: Custom Dogfighter
Extra Aircraft Notes:
Larcen has went through many planes since moving to America, but for the last 4 years has stuck with with the Japanese made 'Pepper Bird' a craft he actually shot down and had it salvaged and rebuilt. The plane has been equipped with some highly illegal but very effective weaponry and excels in chasing and killing weaker targets quickly. The plane is also fitted with a fixer class winch for team repairs.
Weapons Descriptions:
3 Machine Gun Cannons
10 Standard Homing Missiles
2 Unguided Fire Bombs
2 Fixer Drones
1 Back facing flamejet
1 Extra Fuel Tank
Weaknesses:
Because of the added weapons, the weight balance of the plane is off, which makes it very difficult to successfully pull off high flying maneuvers, even though Larcen is a skilled pilot. Also to counter balance the weapons quite a lot of armor had to be removed from the plane so it cant absorb much damage.

Ken Yi
Call-name: Brooklyn
Age: 22
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 140 lbs
Pilot Class: Scanner
Bio: Ken Yi was born in China, his birth name was Fu Yi. China, much like the United States, had catastrophically broken down as a result of the great wars that had rocked the world. Much of the country had been divided amongst warring generals and lords, unlike the United States, these warlords were much less lenient on crime and the such, and as a result, China had become among the most stable of the realms.
Yi, unfortunately, discovered how little that meant when he was born into China's northeast region, home of the Qiang people. The lord of these lands was a Han nationalist by the name of Ji Shou, this man's regime had a deep hatred of the Qiang, moving them to work camps and attempting to starve them all. Yi's mother was a pilot, and managed to escape in her plane, flying across the pacific in an attempt to find a safe haven in Canada, which was currently the world's largest sovereign nation. Unfortunately, world's largest did not mean world's kindest, and Yi and his mother were shot down over Victoria, British Columbia. Thankfully, both survived, and they managed to flee south into Cascadia.
Travelling across the states, looking for refuge, Yi's mother eventually ended up in New York, where she was offered an opportunity to work under protection. Ken, as he was now known, grew up watching his mother's work as a pilot, and eventually grew fascinated with that life. Learning of a flying academy in Britain, Ken flew across the Atlantic and enrolled. It was at this academy that he met Larcen. They became friendly rivals, and when Ken learned of the death of Larcen's parents, he left in disgust, returning to New York and doing his work for the government. When Larcen was recruited to form a new force, Ken was assigned to the group, but not as wing leader, much to Ken's chagrin.
Theme Song:
Name: Hǔ
Type: 1940s dog-fighter
Weight: 8 200 pounds when loaded.
Max Speed: 360 MPH
Extra Aircraft Notes: Hǔ is a Bell P-39 Airacobra, with the engine located in the center of the fuselage rather than at the front, making it ideal for strafing.
Weapons:
-Four homing missiles
-Five Smart Bombs
-An automated rear-facing cannon
-An EMP Pulse
-An on Board scanning computer.
Weaknesses: Hǔ, as an Airacobra, lacks the ability of other fighters to reach a higher altitude, it is also rather slow, compared to more modern designs.
Past Flights: Hǔ is Ken's preferred plane, having been the third he ever flew. He especially showed his skills in the old thing when he managed to out-fly three cultists, drawing them over a flak gun (also hostile to him), allowing Ken to fly away unmolested.

PLANE:
Name: Israfil
Plane Type: B-17G Bomber "Flying Fortress"
Extra Aircraft Notes:
None
Age: 23
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 120lbs
Pilot Class: Hunter
Nationality: Moroccan
Appearance:Bio:
Born in North Africa, Hajar grew up in an environment that was comprised of meek village folk just trying to eke out a survival, the religious: both spiritual pacifists and militant zealots, and the foreign mercenaries who offered them protection for a price. Energetic, curious, and aggressively forward, Hajar apprenticed under her father as the 'tinkerer' of their small, mishmash community, fixing things or setting up utilities with found ancient technology. Her personality lent her to interact with the mercenaries quite often and her technical expertise came to be applied to their planes, helping to not only repair damage, but also to modify or customize their planes.
Theme Song:PLANE:
Name: Israfil
Plane Type: B-17G Bomber "Flying Fortress"
Extra Aircraft Notes:
Israfil was a derelict husk that had crashed near Hajar's village in some bygone war and in the past, has served as a village defense with the body used to house civilians during times of crisis and with the turrets being manned, making the 'flying fortress' a literal fortress. However as the village grew outward from the crashed plane, it became less and less used, and mercenaries were hired to protect the village instead. It became Hajar's dream to give their village's 'guardian angel' wings again, so she set to work with the other engineers of the town to make it fly again. The other engineers' motivation was simply to get the large, cumbersome thing out of and away from the city center. It took a lot of time, effort and resources, but they finally succeeded in making Israfil air-worthy again. By this point, Hajar knew she wanted to become a mercenary herself and took the Israfil with her, looking for opportunity. Over the years, Hajar has managed to add motors and cameras to the various turrets and connected the whole setup to a small, handheld electronic device, allowing her to control all the turrets from a single control panel (the tablet).
Weapons Descriptions:- 2 forward facing mini-guns
- 13 × .50 in. M2 Browning machine guns in 8 positions (2 in the Bendix chin turret, 2 on nose cheeks, 2 staggered waist guns, 2 in upper Sperry turret, 2 in Sperry ball turret in belly, 2 in the tail and one firing upwards from radio compartment behind bomb bay)
- 12 'bunker buster' bombs
- 8000 lbs. of bombs
Israfil is slow and unmaneuverable, unable to dodge or really dogfight, relying instead on its extra armor and turret coverage to fight back against enemy planes. Though it's turrets prevent it from having very many blind spots, it's difficult for Hajar to keep her eyes on all the tiny vidscreens on her tablet so she might end up missing enemy planes, or not bring enough of the turret guns to bear to provide significant coverage. Israfil's turret setup is also extremely susceptible to enemy interference, having been jury rigged from scrap components and simple electronics. Israfil is also extremely old, so it's navigations and communications systems are also weak to ECM.

Hanna von Falkenheim
Age:
27
Height:
5'6
Weight:
110
Pilot Class:
Rabbit
Nationality:
Austrian
Bio:
"The weak turn to the opiate of the masses known as "God" praying that some psychotic being of immense power might grant them mercy. I seek no such solace, as I am seemingly always at war with fate."
-Hanna von Falkenheim, during the war on Karlsland.
Austria, a beautiful land of mountains, skiing, and architecture, found itself at the front lines when the WEC declared all out war on the military state of Karlsland. At the time, Hanna was a young patriot, who saw it as a war to civilize Europe. On a very deep, personal level, it meant to squeeze out the weak minded, perhaps finally end a turbulent time, and move on to higher thinking. This was her motivation, her drive as she volunteered for the ranks. She was going to help her homeland and this attempt at recreating the civilized world of before, or die trying.
Attending officer school at a young age, she was quickly promoted and was given command of a flight of hunter aircraft. This was to be her first combat experience, leading a bombing raid on an unsuspecting factory complex. It was a total strategic success and she found great joy in watching those factories burn. It was a taste of weakness. Not on her part, mind you, but on others. It made her realize how simple this "game" was, and made her worry.
For this, she was promoted to being an instructor for Austria's contribution to the WEC forces, and was given a heavy fighter to replace her hunter. Another sign of this tell-tale "weakness". If it were this easy to move up, who was running this war? Regardless, she still took this promotion and instructing job seriously and began her work to forge battle ready pilots. As it turned out, she was.... to good at her job. On one hand, she raised some of the finest, more efficient pilots her country had seen, but on the other, well, she did so through incredibly brutal methods. Beatings, executions, and downright mental abuse of her students gave her a dark reputation that many feared. However, there was a war going on, and thus nobody complained when Hanna got results.
During this time, Hanna learned of the more fundamental weaknesses of mankind. So many flaws in their emotions, their inability to accept sacrifice in the selfish desire of their own utterly worthless lives. This war would not be the end, no, she had to do more. She had to do everything in her power to climb the ranks, so that she could take power and fix this weakness in mankind, or else they were doomed to repeat it all. It was her new resolve, her new higher calling to take back this world from the manipulative hands of fate, of even God. Immediately, Hanna began to focus on ranking up, of climbing the ladder. For in the chaos of war, it was her opportunity to do so. But then, just like that, the war was over. WEC no longer needed such soldiers like Hanna.
No less than a few months later, Hanna was suddenly forced to be "honorably" discharged.
This act of betrayal, from the country she had worked so hard for... it sent her over the edge. It was all over, this country, these leaders were just going to repeat the mistakes of the past! Did they not understand that order, through any means necessary, is preferable to the horrible alternative of constant war?? Why, why would they be so blind to their own hubris? Rumors have it that she killed the very messenger who delivered it, and that "accidental" discharge of cannon was anything but when it blew up her old commander's transport. Regardless, what is known is that she took her plane and left, becoming a fearsome mercenary for anyone other than the WEC. It is said that if at any point she comes across a WEC force while on the job, she'll happily execute every last one of them.
Only a little later, when the weak governors of the old American city New York reached out for help, did she see her chance and decided to take up the offer. Hanna would whip this rotten city into shape.... Perhaps it was yet another chance... another ladder. And she will will climb that ladder.
By Any Means Necessary

Name:
The Focke-Wulf 148 "RedTail"
Description:
A duel turboprop engine, heavy fighter used by both WEC and the former Karlslandic forces. This was a monster of an aircraft, boasting of heavy firepower and speed. Despite its larger wingspan and heavier weight, the 148 is a agile craft, making it an excellent heavy fighter. Due to the complex nature of its two turboprop engines, driving twin propellers, this aircraft was expensive and hard to produce. Regardless, it was seen as one of the more higher end aircraft to come out of the war. The aircraft performs at its best when engaged with single enemy's or hunter type aircraft thanks to its heavy armament. However, when faced against multiple fighter type aircraft, this plane is at a disadvantage due to its lower battlefield situational awareness. This aircraft will depend heavily on Scanner aircraft in the area to perform in heavy combat.
Plane Type:
Heavy Fighter
Weapons Descriptions:
2 high velocity 30mm rotatory cannons.
2 high velocity 20mm rotatory cannons.
4 HV Interceptor missiles
2 AA cluster missiles
4 medium sized slots for ground attacks if need be
Extra armoring
Booster Fuel
Weaknesses:
Despite its agility, the Focke-Wulf 148 is an abnormally large aircraft, so it can be easier to hit. With it's original intentions to be a "raider" type aircraft, the fighter modifications can only do so much. In a dogfight, lighter, smaller aircraft will always have the advantage in maneuverability. Also, if the booster fuel is used, the plane will burn out quickly soon after and will be forced to land for refueling, thus its usually used as a last ditch escape plane.

Biography:
Born and raised into a mining family in the Yukon, Alex had a rather hard start in life. Her family bordered on the poverty line and only because of her father’s endless shifts did they get to put food on the table. Alex was brought into the family business at only ten years old and was assigned to work in the kitchen to feed the hungry miners.
It was here that Alex found her love of planes. The three-man defensive squadron of their quaint little village was unimpressive at best, but managed to hold off any prying eyes that dared to even think of taking the mine for themselves. Every day, Alex made a point of escaping the kitchen to watch their noon hour flyovers, left in awe by the throaty engines and nimble planes that had defended them for so long. She desperately wanted to be up there with them, but was held back by both her family and lifestyle.
Alex wanted to leave. To escape. To fly. She developed a plan to stowaway on the Douglas DC9 cargo plane that supplied the area with food and fuel, and travel down closer to the border. Here, she could do what she wanted with her life.
By the time she had hitchhiked her way through the country, Alex was eighteen. Through both working odd jobs for people she met along her travels, and selling herself as a dancer at various taverns, she made enough money to purchase a rather unimpressive Spitfire XII at a private auction in Foymount, Ontario. With no more than a rusted engine and an airframe, she rebuilt the plane to be flyable and flew herself down into the States, where she took on small contracts varying from light transport to reconnaissance.
It was then when she used the accumulated savings to really build her plane into something noteworthy. The Scarlet Harlot, a name inspired from her rather....dark past. She made a name for herself as a smuggler, transporting illegal items and substances in a makeshift cargo hold built around the fuel tank of her spitfire.
Arrested in New York, she was to be tried for her crimes before the government realised how much of an asset she could be. A pilot who had flown her way through dangerous skies would also be skilled in defending herself and evading those who she could not fight. She was given an offer to either serve her time in prison, or serving the State in a squadron of pilots. Her decisions led her into the New York 5, though rather unintentionally.

Aircraft Info
The Scarlet Harlot
Description: Pulled from a museum in Southern Canada, the Harlot was acquired via private auction and then transported across the border and down into the outskirts of Philadelphia. There, it was reassembled by Alex and fitted with modified and upgraded parts, including heavier weaponry, a supercharged engine and re-finished body panels. The rotor was swapped out from the five blade rotor that had been mounted on it, to a four blade rotor that kept to the original look of the aircraft. The name of the aircraft comes from the tail fin, painted red more for show and distinguishment than anything.
Plane Type: Dogfighter, modified 1943 Spitfire XII
Weight (Fully fueled and armed): 7,500lbs
Engine: Supercharged RR Griffon III, 2100hp
Top speed: 395mph below 10,000ft, 340mph above 12,000ft
Weapons Descriptions:
- 4x Forward facing 20mm machine guns, 2x nose mounted, 2x wing mounted
- 2x Forward facing .50 cal machine guns, nose mounted
- 4x Flare sets
- 2x Multi-pod Missiles.
Weaknesses: While extremely fast and nimble at altitudes from 0-14,000ft, it becomes much slower at altitudes exceeding this due to the clipped wings and supercharged engine. The supercharged Griffon III engine exceeds 2000hp, however at the cost of a higher fuel draw, giving it a more limited range. Light armor in exchange for a higher speed.
Past Encounters: Mainly used as a smuggling aircraft, the Harlot has seen a few dogfights with local "lawmen" and patriots. When it's speed could not beat it's competitors, its maneuverability and guns did.
