Taylor has a dancer’s body, long with wide shoulders and a posture that reminds everyone else that they are l’inferieur. She has long, toned legs, hips of medium width, and long graceful arms. The most obvious thing that people see when they look at Taylor, however, is the fact that she’s completely silver. I don’t mean “she took weird drugs and now she’s a greyish color”. No, Taylor’s body is entirely metallic silver, Silver Surfer style. It glimmers in the sunlight like metal and is both smooth and cold to the touch. Her nails are also naturally metallic, and come to a slight point. Taylor has a long, thin neck. Her face is heart-shaped, with a chin that seems to come to a point. Her lips are lump and naturally also silver, though they feel much softer. She has a small, slightly upturned nose. Her eyes are narrow-set and almond-shaped. They aren’t metallic like the rest of her, white with pretty blue irises. Her hair is cut in a bob and is also metallic silver, though it acts like normal hair. Taylor has a very good complexion (she can actually get acne and stuff, but she had developed a special cream that could clean her metal skin). Taylor has a medium-pitched voice and a French accent.
Attire:
It varies. Taylor has an extensive wardrobe of designer clothes. Unless it is something she really likes, you won’t ever see her wear the same thing twice. The only piece of clothing she regularly wears are a set of three-inch heels which match her skin in color and luster perfectly. She usually wears a blouse or sweater of some sort with long pants or shorts when it’s very hot. She only wears dresses or skirts to formal events, at which she is nearly guaranteed to upstage everyone else in terms of fashion.
Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
Taylor is the ultimate femme fatale. She’s ambitious, mentally tough, and persistent enough to do whatever it takes to reach her goal. Taylor is incredibly self-centered, and looks down on most other people, especially normal humans. As a metahuman with an outer expression of her power, Taylor has become very sensitive to anti-meta criticism and has strong prejudices against normal humans. She’s easily offended, but has the sense to keep a clear head, as breaking her cool disposition would be a sign of weakness.
Taylor has a bad habit of becoming overly-attached to people, especially those who she has romantic relationships with. Despite her toughness and usual willingness to put herself before others, she has a very hard time saying no to people who she’s romantically involved with, or those who are very good friends. She feels like saying no to them would make them think she isn’t reliable, and as such will do whatever she can to do whatever she can for them. This is a habit that has gotten Taylor into very bad places, and she has tried to fight the tendency as of late. Taylor has a lot of compassion for people with powers, especially those with outward manifestations.
Hobbies/Interests:
Taylor spends most of her time working. She runs a designer perfume and makeup company called L’Argent which specializes in helping metahuman women with outward mutations feel beautiful. It is very well-known and has stores across the world, though most are concentrated in cities with high metahuman populations. The company exclusively hires metahumans with outward mutations. When Taylor isn’t working, she enjoys aquariums a lot, and maintains several large ones in her home in France, both fresh and saltwater. She has a particularly large one in her living room which contains a live coral reef and sharks (rich people just have too much money). Taylor also takes classes in self-defense, and enjoys exercising.
Skills/Talents:
Taylor has *some* degree of physical fighting knowledge, having trained for a few years in self-defense. She’s not karate master and a trained fighter can most of the time take her down (if you don’t count the significant advantages her powers give her).
Goals/Motivation
Taylor’s goal in life is to make people with powers feel better about themselves. Right now, however, her goal is to find the Founding Family and get revenge for what they did to her.
History/Bio:
Born in France to an ancient, wealthy family, Taylor was guaranteed a pretty leisurely life. Her father was a metahuman, and was delighted when her powers manifested at a young age. Unlike her father, Taylor had an outward manifested power in her metal skin. When she was young, before her muscle mass grew in, Taylor had a lot of problems with her power, and had to wear braces in order to move around. These made her even more obviously mutated, and by age nine she was pulled out of school. She received private tutoring until she was fourteen, at which time her mother’s American heritage allowed her to go to Academy 218 in Alaska.
While at 218, Taylor met some of her best friends. She met Carole Elias, a water manipulator who was the daughter of a wealthy country club owner, as well as the Valos family. Through the Valos, Taylor became romantically involved with Johnny Valos. Their relationship lasted most of the time that Johnny was at the school, and after he was expelled they broke up. This wasn’t the end of Johnny’s meddling in Taylor’s life however.
When Taylor turned twenty-two, her father died of a heart attack. Heir to his fortune, Taylor inherited six hundred million dollars. While Taylor did not inherit her father’s perfume business, she did strike a business deal with the new CEO and, using some of her own money as well, opened L’Argent. She was inspired to do this after using her own expertise (she has a chemistry degree from Mendel University) to create a topical cream that cured her metal skin of acne.
Taylor decided to use her fortune for the purpose of metahuman philanthropy. She donated to many metahuman support groups around the world, including DOVE, and helped organize rallies to push countries to accept metahumans. She became famous for funding a massive protest in Bulgaria which pushed the prime minister to allow metahumans to be citizens. There was a dark side to Taylor’s philanthropy, however. She gave Johnny some money for his vigilante work, for example, partially funding his shredding through the crime of New Orleans. Shortly after that, she was approached by a European group of metahumans who wanted her to help them fund a new kind of metahuman rights group. She joined their group and was quickly indoctrinated into their ways of genetic purity.
This group was known as The Founding Family. At first, Taylor agreed with their ideology of genetic purity, mostly ignoring that she herself was defined as imperfect by them. The Family began to creep her out the farther into it she got, though, and she began to become worried that they were more than a metahuman support group. Then one day, Taylor was approached by the french DGMHS, basically French RAVEN, and was told that she was being investigated for terror funding (Taylor donated roughly twenty million dollars to the FF shortly after joining, in order to buy them lobbyists). Having now put all of the pieces together, Taylor decided to cooperate with DGMHS and help bring the Family down. She leaked the named of every FF member in France, allowing the DGMHS to arrest several important FF members. Then she moved to a new home in the French countryside, hoping to keep her head down long enough for things to blow over. The FF fell shortly after that (Taylor had basically nothing to do with that) and Taylor decided to return to a somewhat normal life.
Taylor thought this was all over until about nine months ago, when Taylor’s boyfriend Jean was murdered by a Metahuman. A few weeks later, Taylor’s home in Paris was raided by masked men, who smashed her home up, killed her butler, and shot Taylor in the back. Thanks to her skin, Taylor didn’t die, but she was severely wounded and had organ damage. Since then, four separate attempts have been made on Taylor’s life. None have done more than bruise her, but the last attempt nearly pierced her skin, making Taylor very concerned for her safety. Now she is out to find the rest of the FF and put them away before one of their attempts on her life succeeds.
Relationships
Family:
Dynamics: (Relations with other characters - You don't have to put relation with family here.)
BULLETRPOOF: Taylor’s skin is entirely composed of a metal alloy. The alloy hasn’t officially been tested, but from its properties it can be assumed to be an alloy of titanium, silver, and aluminium. This gives Taylor several advantages against a regular human, most obviously extreme durability. Taylor’s skin is very resistant to physical damage. Knives do almost nothing to her and bullets (with the exception of very high caliber bullets) do minimal damage, not piercing her skin. Additionally, Taylor’s skin conducts heat and electricity. Because the skin surrounds her entire body, it can conduct these things around her, and, as long as she’s touching the ground, deflect them, making Taylor mostly immune to damage due to electricity or heat. This has a limit, of course, and enough heat will break through the metal and damage Taylor. The silver and aluminium in Taylor’s skin makes her resistant to corrosion as well, meaning that acidic chemicals cannot burn Taylor.
In order to be able to move her metal skin, Taylor possesses supernatural strength. Though not inhumanly strong, Taylor can lift about five hundred pounds, making her extremely strong. Her skin is usually under a few millimeters thick, but her nails are extra-thick metal, giving her claws that can be used to attack enemies. While not as ideal as claws made of steel, Taylor’s claws can certainly get the job done in cutting up flesh.
Limits:
The conductivity of Taylor’s skin is high because it is metal, but it isn’t as high as many other metals. This basically means that while Taylor can deflect heat and electricity, there is a hard limit to how much she can deflect. Above about four hundred degrees, Taylor’s skin will begin to heat up, burning Taylor.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
Taylor’s skin is only bulletproof in theory. In practice, the damage Taylor takes from attacks is reduced, not eliminated. Like all mammals, Taylor has an enclosed circulatory system and, as such, can bleed internally. When Taylor’s skin is struck with a high-velocity object like a bullet, oftentimes her skin will dent. This is essentially the same thing as a bruise for Taylor, and it causes her a lot of pain as well as restriction of motion (because her skin is literally sticking into her now). Taylor’s skin can heal of dents over time, but it takes a day or two to heal up, rendering her temporarily damaged. The spot of the impact matters as well. While a dent on Taylor’s shoulder would be painful but nonlethal, hitting her in the chest enough with a powerful bullet will leave a dent massive enough to cause Taylor organ damage, severely damaging her. Hits to Taylor’s head can concuss her as well, knocking her out or doing brain damage. Additionally, while Taylor is strong, metal skin is very heavy. Taylor’s strength allows her to move her skin, but the weight of it restricts her motion and gives her low agility and endurance.
SHould I make an NPC sheet for Taylor's bodyguard?
EDIT: I made an NPC sheet for Taylor's bodyguard.
| 41 | Bernard Durand | Male |
Description: Taylor Pierpoint’s head of security and personal bodyguard, Bernard is a massive man. 6’9” and nearly 400 pounds, he is a real “tree” of a man. Bernard’s body is made entirely of wood which seems to have a polished finish. He is incredibly muscular to the point where he seems to burst out of whatever clothing he wears. He has a large, square head with a big, flat nose and a square jaw. He has large ears and hair cut in a military-style flat-top. Bernard’s hair is green and made of what appears to be grass. Personality-wise, Bernard is stoic, tough as nails, and incredibly cautious. He has a lot of attachment to his charge, Ms. Pierpoint, as she helped him out of a very tight spot by giving him his current job. Bernard wears a black suit with a white shirt and a forest green tie.
Power:
Underneath the Sycamore: Bernard is made of wood. His entire body, including his skin, vascular system, bones, and muscles, are all made of plant fiber, making them extremely tough. Bernard is very durable because of this and has extreme strength (he’s capable of lifting about 1500 pounds). Bernard’s blood is thick and viscous like tree sap, and dries quickly on contact with air, reducing blood loss. Bernard can still be damaged, however, and his organs take damage as if they were human organs (ie he doesn't have the "I'm not made of human stuff so stabbing me in the chest won't hurt me" thing going on). Bernard also needs to regularly sunbathe or his fibrous body will dry up, restricting his movement. If he stays out of the sun for too long, Bernard will grow extremely ill and will exhibit symptoms of starvation. In this state, Bernard's skin becomes pale and cracked, and his hair turns yellowish-white.
Description: One of the most loyal members of the Coven. Adora was rescued from the Changeling Unit at a very young age by Ada, and since then she has been loyal to the woman. Being one of their most powerful and useful members. She's a brown haired woman of Spanish facial features, and a pale brown skin. What is most notable about her appearance is her reptilian-like claws for hands and feet. They have a tan color, and have very long white keratin blades. She is the one that was chosen to accompany Ada and Megan to Baybridge.
Power: Portal Cutter. With her claws, Adora can channel space-time forces to cut slashes in reality itself. By using these cuts in reality, she (and anybody else) can step through them to travel to different locations. She can easily travel in between continents with ease. In addition, she claws are supernaturally sharp, and can cut through metal.
[43 | Graham Xavier Morris | Male]
Description: Formerly, one of the frontline members of the MISW, Graham is a long time agent, and enforcer of Metahuman security of the UK. After the fall of the Family, and the MISW by that extent, Graham left Britain, and joined MAVERICK. One of the most skilled and experienced agents, armed with his knowledge, he sees a fairly high success rate. However, while most have gotten the idea that Graham is nothing more than a soldier, they wouldn't be any further from the truth. He's a very polite, and introspective man that has a love for reading and knowledge. He's also very vocal about Metahuman politics, and is the main man one pushing for change within the MISW. Out of both fear that they would produce an infinite cycle of homegrown terrorism, and they are treating Metahumans as second class citizens. Oh, did I mention? Due to Graham's ability, he's an invisible man. Yes, he's permanently invisible. It's impossible for him to make himself visible, but fortunately (until he activates it) his clothes will remain visible. He usually wears glasses, and a longcoat. He also has a daughter with the exact same ability as him that attends the Academy in Baybridge.
Power: Invisibility-Manipulation. Graham has a few abilities relating to invisibility. First, he's always invisible. No one can see his flesh, only the clothes on top of it. You would expect that he would need to get naked before he puts this ability to good use, but he has a light manipulating ability that allows him to extend his invisibility to his clothes. In addition, he can also produce fields of invisibility, or make specific objects invisible. Graham also has the ability to produce shields that will block attacks. Unlike his invisibility, his shields are only vaguely visible. If you're wondering how he doesn't render himself blind, shut up, it just works.
[27 | Carmen Santo | Female]
Description: Formerly a run away after her power manifested and made her the target of many different groups, Lily, for her own safety, joined RAVEN. Which she developed the combat skills she holds to this day, and was loyal to the organization... up until she was betrayed by a corrupt RAVEN working for the Family, and her power was used as the basis for the Family's own power granting serum. She was liberated when the Family finally fell, but couldn't face RAVEN anymore. She left, but by the time this happened, MAVERICK was looking for fresh recruits, and extended her a hand. Lily joined, and became one of the most respected members of the whole organization. Even then, she's still polite, respectful, and kind, above all else. Lily is a Puerto-Rican woman that stands at 5'2, and has a well-built body. Her body has plenty of scars due to the incidents she gotten into when she was younger involving her power. She keeps her brown hair cut short, and hard to grab, but ultimately very well-maintained.
Power: Power Charging & Granting. Lily's body is a near-limitless generator of Metahuman energy, which she can transfer to others on touch. When this energy is transferred to other people, it has one of two effects. Either it enhances their abilities, if Metahuman, or gives them powers. Which is easily considered the most dangerous of all Metahuman abilities. But, if someone is charged too much... they enter a state of being "overcharged" where their powers are enhanced to uncontrollable levels.
[38 | Michelle Brianna Gallus | Female]
Description: One of the first members of MAVERICK. Michelle was formerly a member of the NEST organization after leaving a circus act for Metahumans. After losing her arm, and other humiliating acts during Verthaven, Michelle fell into a pit of despair and left NEST. She worked as a grocery bagger for a few years, before returning to the circus act. But, after the fall of the Founding Family, she was approached by a recruiter for MAVERICK, and seeing this as her chance to get over her rut, she joined. Becoming second in command for the organization, Michelle has quite the reputation. First, for being seven feet tall, and being loud, boisterous, and confident. Finally regaining it. Michelle is African-American, and primed with muscles from head to toe from her power. She is the heavy lifter in MAVERICK, but don't ever mistake her for dumb muscle.
Power: Bestial Strength. Michelle's power gives her enormous amounts of brute strength, enough to lift a car with one hand. But, the beast half of her power comes in the ability to manifest claws, and her enhanced sensory abilities.
I deleted it by mistake (I meant to delete one of my test servers), but I kind of don't feel the need to remake it since I've honestly lost all drive to continue Baybridge.
We had some good times, but I think it's run it's course.
