ENSZA WIP

Name: Ensza Kemari
Age: 16
Gender:Female
Appearance: Standing about 5'4" she has dark skin with Locs. A small Scar under her chin deep grey eyes her hair a beautiful fiery red.

Hero Outfit: A simple black crop top with a high necked collar that she can pull up to cover her nose and mouth as well as a long deep hood. On her back she wears a shoulder holster that holds a heart rate monitor and speedometer. She wears heavy cargo pants that taper down and hugs her ankles with Heavy Combat rollerblades.

Quirk: "Endless Aegis" which is a fine mobile defensive quirk. Her quirk allows her to create solid constructs (She likes to make shields, ramps, walls, and armors) from the kinetic energy (speed) of Herself or those around her. Her quirk is limited really to her stamina and the fact that she has to keep moving. Also she can only take very small amounts of kinetic energy from others. The final limiting factor is kinetic energy is not endless so once the source of the energy fades so does the construct size as larger constructs take more energy (think the bigger a construct the slower she becomes)

Backstory: Once a national track star for her local middle school Ensza was a late bloomer never manifesting her quirk into her early teen years. During a big cross country race high in the no she and fellow students were nearly cruahed by a landslide. It was in this moment she manifested her very strange a quirk saving the livea of Herald and three others. A grayish blue tinted translucent wall having appeared when she put her hands out.

She tried hiding it from her family as long as possible knowing they wanted a "hero" in the family. But to no avail she was sent off the the entrance exams without a second thought her wishes and desires for a quiet life hinderes by family honor and obligation. Having no real ties to siblings or parents but having a clear respect for tradition and her family name she took off into the exam doing her absolute best.

Having practiced and learned the limits of her quirk through out her middle school career through her tim3 on the track team she was ready.

Other: She tends to carry around steel balls around with her that she uses as projectiles.

Yes and no. It does so only after initial impact turning all remaining force into potential energy that she can direct to any part of the body better example is a quick video imagine this with a number of different people attacking her at once and being tossed around and manuveaured around her small frame like this class ball. Because once they come into contact with her she can do this at will. However, it is much harder to do when an object is not in motion and larger than she is.

What I can gleam from that quirk is it's a more extreme version of JustYui's finished Quirk.

So they did (it was a small post, I missed it :( ) if they pick it up then I'll leave them to it but if not I'll happily jump on that!

Another Idea I had was a quirk based on emotions, one that can influence people in either an area of effect or individually. I'd imagine affecting people individually would be something my character has to develop, and maybe towards the start they'd assume it only worked as an AOE. Like pheremones, if you like? Problem with that is almost zero combat capability so it'd maybe have to be half or a part of some quirk which uses general mind powers that can also not leave the character useless on the battlefield. Perhaps some kind of ability to inflict pain, but if it's restricted to an AOE that'd mean any heroes nearby would also feel it... Any thoughts?

Well keep in mind it pretty much needs to be a quirk that can allow them to defeat countless robots to earn points for the entrance exam for U.A. to get into the hero development course with everyone else, if they can't harm the machines they probably wont be able to get into the hero course. Taking a character from the manga as an example, he can mind control people if they answer him, but he didn't make it into the hero course because it wasn't him getting the points, it was the people he controlled.

A little rethink then, maybe something based around psychic pressure? Essentially telekenesis, but physically all it can really do is implode/crush stuff, and if used on people it could cause them to weaken, disorientate, almost like a weak form of mind control? Against another person, if the person doesn't particularly have a mind-based quirk could allow my character to perhaps disable one or two limbs of theirs at a time, but then my character can't physically affect anything whilst he's holding that.

It's hard to describe, it'd probably best be named something like "Pressure" in this case. Does this seem OP or manageable? There could be restrictions like extended use leading to fatigue/nosebleeds or any of those psychic power overuse tropes you see.

Maybe if on the contrary it seems underpowered, the physical/telekenetic aspect could be broadened with time and/or necessity at the start? There's always room for quirks to evolve after all

You could go straight up telekinesis if your going that far. Just make very noticeable limitations and drawbacks should try to bite off more then they can chew. Such as a weight limit to his mental ability, and anything greater could create a prolonged migrant related headache, and a limit of range. as an example.

It is done. Also went ahead and tweaked the last paragraph ever-so-slightly (mostly just changing past tenses to more present-tense type stuff and adjusting some phrasing to acknowledge that she's about to get into U.A. as opposed to having been there) while I was there since I noticed it.
