Elizabeth smiled as others seemed to arrive. It was getting to be quite the crowd and Elizabeth, surprisingly, wished to slip away and return to her garden for a moment, just to get away. But that would be very rude to the guests that had just arrived. Silently, she continued to blow up one of the floats, feeling very much like a wall flower.

She smiled as Anna called for her and waved. "I'm over here, Anna." She called out, her voice small but warm. As she waited for Anna to come over to them, or not, she returned to Jocelyn.

"So, do you not like swimming?" Elizabeth asked, looking at Jocelyn.

Lance hadn't honestly been expecting to see such a sight and as he opened his eyes, he spotted none other than Damar's junk in his line of sight. He blinked for a moment, and then made a face as if to say, "Hmm... I approve," his lips lowering into a humorous frown. He pulled the earphones out of his ears and smiled up at Damar's face. "How nice to see you." He spoke, motioning at Damar's crotch with his eyes. When they returned, they were staring daggers into Damar's eyes.

"And who's a stick in the mud?" He asked, raising a brow at Damar. "You're just mad because I look so much more sophisticated than you." He chuckled, leaning up, so that his face was very close to Damar's, within reach of each other's breath. With a smirk on his face, he reached down and lifted up his shirt, pulling it over his head and throwing it to the side. Still close to Damar's face, he smirked as he spoke, "If you'd move I'll go join in. Otherwise, I'll stay here with my book. It was just getting good after all." At that, he made another glance downwards and then back up Damar.

Checkmate.

Eva had finally decided on an outfit that suited her and made her way down to the pool, only to discover a lot more people than had been there before, one of them she had missed very dearly. "My LOVE!" She shouted, running towards Mildred, and nearly tackling her to the ground. "I missed you!" She shouted, wrapping her arms around her friend.

Eva, in her time getting ready, had decided the best course of action would be to leave the least amount of places to grab onto and had gone for a tight fitting crop top and booty short combo. Her hair was still down but as soon as the game started, she was planning on putting it up into a bun. She would never admit it, but she was extremely competitive.

Things were definitely picking up fast. In what seemed to be a matter of minutes, Rose, Loki, Anna, Lucille, and Mildred had all arrived and joined the pool party. The Edric siblings arrived first and Amelia smiled as Rose showed off her usual high energy by cannonballing into the pool while Loki just stood on the side. Anna was the next to arrive and also attempted a cannonball, but ended up belly-flopping while still fully dressed instead. Amelia was shocked when Anna took off her cloths to continue swimming in her undergarments, but given that she had just done the same thing mere moments ago, she was in no position to judge. Lucille arrived next and immediately began addressing some of the others and Mildred arrived last. Of the new arrival, Amelia knew Rose, Loki and Anna the best. She knew of Lucille and Mildred but hadn't really talked to them in school, so she would have to try an get to know them during the summer.

Turning back to the pool, she sat down and put her feet in to get a feel of the temperature of the water. Once she was sure she could handle it, she slipped into the water, letting herself be fully submerged for several seconds before resurfacing and grabbing into the ledge to help keep herself above water. She turned to watch everyone wondering what to do. Talking would be nigh impossible for now, since no one other then Elizabeth knew sign language and her pad was over on the chair she had put her cloths on. Well, hopefully things would turn out well. Looking around, she wondered what to do now, debating on approaching someone and trying to hold some sort of conversation.

As Lucille drifted around lazily in the pool her eyes caught on Amelia's. She didn't know Amelia very well and didn't know sign language either. But Amelia looked so innocent and lonely in the moment that Lucille hefted herself out of the pool, walked over to where her phone was lying on a towel and looked up some basic sign language for "hi" and "how are you". She practiced to herself silently, hoping that it was right before walking over to Amelia, long legs gleaming with water drops. She paused in front of the girl and silently started gesturing with her hands.
Please hope I'm right Lucille thought to herself. She finished and smiled at Amelia, flicking back a strand of hair and scattering droplets everywhere.

Jocelyn simply giggled and shook her head at Anna before turning back to Elizabeth. "It's not that I don't like swimming," she said as she threw one last float in the pool, "I just don't like everything that comes with it: going under water, the feeling of water rushing into my ears and nose, the chlorine burning my eyes, the chemicals in my hair... I could do without." As more people began to show up, Jocelyn found herself giving quick hugs and nods. She was pretty excited for what their Summer would entail; she was especially excited that she would be able to spend this time with her close group of friends rather than sit at home with her family as she did in the past. If she hadn't convinced her mom to let her spend the Summer away, she knew that instead of goofing around at the pool, she'd be stuck studying early to get ahead in her classes or volunteering at a nursing home. Sure, she loved the elderly just as much as the next person, but after a while, one does tend to get tired of playing bingo and politely accepting cherry cough drops from old ladies as a candy alternative.

"But if we're playing chicken, I'd still be down," she said with a shrug, "As long as y'all are prepared to get your asses kicked. We got this in the bag, isn't that right Damar?" As Jocelyn spoke, she made her way towards the edge of the pool, sat down, and let her feet dangle in the shallow water. The water was freezing, but she knew that it would begin to warm up a bit after a while. Once it did, she slowly slid down into the pool, the water stopping just above her navel. She had her game face on, ready to play a game of chicken.

Elizabeth smiled. "That makes a lot of sense." she replied, chuckling. [color=orchid]"I think I'll sit this one out, though. I need some coffee and time to just sit for a bit."[color] She explained, placing the last blown up float into the water. "I'll sit on the sideline and be the ref." She added, laughing.

"Would you get me a coffee?" She asked one of the maids who quickly went off to make her some.
