"As an Evil once thought defeated returns, a new generation must step forward to defeat it once and for all, no matter the cost..."
Plot
"No matter how much you try to put it behind you, you can't forget your past, as it will always impact your future..."
"This story begins hundreds of years ago, near the beginning of our existence. Arceus had created our world, and our ancestors along with it. In order to help ensure peace, he created what would become known as the Legendary Pokemon. As the world and Pokemon continued to grow and evolve, the number of Legendary Pokemon also grew to match. The first group became known as the Legendary Council, and the rest were Legendary Protectors."
"However, Mewtwo, one of the Protectors, never seemed happy with the arrangement. While he never expressed it publicly, he wanted to be on the Council, to be a real leader. One day it seemed he had snapped, as he stormed the Temple of Legends and demanded his appointment to the Council. Arceus denied him, revoked his status as a Legendary Protector, and banished him to the far reaches of the world. This... would be his deepest regret..."
"Within months, Mewtwo had amassed an army of followers, and declared war on All Legendary Pokemon who did not side with him. This conflict would become known as The Great War. For years Mewtwo and the Council battled across the globe, until he was finally defeated by one he once called his brother, Mew."
"With the threat passed, the Legendary Pokemon found themselves weakened physically and emotionally from the war. Arceus realized the mistake he had made, and departed, angry with himself and his misjudgement. Without his leadership, the Council fell apart, and the Legendary Pokemon split into smaller groups, some going as far as to cut all contact with one another."
"The years passed, and the world had grown to live without the protection and guidance of the Legendary Council. Then, unexplainable events began to unfold. Strange places that became known as Mystery Dungeons began to appear across the world, and it seemed the very balance of the world was in danger. Many times this would occur, with humans appearing to save their world as Pokemon alone could not."
"When Legendary Pokemon began being targeted by unknown foes, many realized an ancient prophecy was coming to light. The Mewtwo that had started The Great War was returning. Arceus himself returned, and reformed the Legendary Council in response. He was determined not to make the same mistake again. However, he could not stop the start of what would be known as The Second Great War."
"For years once more a battle would rage between Mewtwo and his followers, and the Legendary Council and their followers. In an epic showdown in the final hours of the war, Mewtwo would be defeated by a Team of Legendary Pokemon who had come together and reawakened the one who had defeated him before, Mew. However, even with his defeat, Mew knew that his brother would not stop until he had won, or had been destroyed. They would be ready..."
"It has been nearly ten years since the end of The Second Great War, and the world has returned to a realm of normalcy. However, unrest is beginning to mount. Signs that Mewtwo may return are beginning to surface across the globe. The Legendary Team that helped Mew defeat him in the past has gone off the grid, as has Mew. While panic has not set in, it is only a matter of time."
"In a small village in the far north of the Grass Continent, a veteran of The Second Great War has been working to train the next generation, in preparation for Mewtwo's nearly imminent return. He himself has begun to have visions of what is to come, visions that spell destruction should his plans come to fruition..."
Location
"This is where we belong. We are here because we have a purpose here. Let's make our marks while we can..."
Valiant Village is a village located in the far north of the Grass Continent. It was founded by Spirit the Lucario and The Swords of Justice following the End of The Second Great War. It was built as a place of peace, a way to signify that the war was finally over. As time passed, Spirit, his former Team Mates, Ox the Gogoat and Razor, the Excadril, along with his Mate Luna the Lucario, formed the Valiant Village Exploration and Rescue Guild.

He was also one of the most brilliant chemists in Pokemon History, renowned for his work before The Great War.
Focus
"We have our objective. The success of this mission can pave the way to victory. We know the risks, so let's do this..."
The Focus of the RP is simple. For starters, there will be little to no focus on Humans. For this conflict, Arceus decided that they had to correct their own mistakes. With that said, the primary focus will be on the characters of the Valiant Village Guild, which the characters in the RP from everyone will be part of. That makes character interaction a number one priority, to give them depth and make them feel real. It doesn't matter if it's with NPC Guild Characters controlled by me, or with each other. Make Your Character Yours. Form Teams with other players, or make teams with yourself with multiple characters. Make this world feel alive.

If yours haven't yet, post them below when completed for acceptance. I'll put up an IC Post once this is done.
And to anyone just checking this out now, there will be a grace period where new characters can be added. Once it is over, the RP will be closed to new players.
@The One Guild... that one you'll have to really run by me and make some good backstory on to get it accepted, as that would be a fairly big in-universe change.
Sorry for the small picture, it's a sprite I edited myself. I also didn't make the opening quote big for that very reason.
"There’s always interesting things to see and find!"
Name: Mermes
Species: Buizel
Gender: Female
Ability: Swift Swim
Moveset:
Quick Attack
Water Gun
Pursuit
Swift
History: Mermes was raised by a colony of Magikarp on the Water Continent ever since she was young. The Shiny Magikarp that adopted her found her on the shoreline of the lake with no knowledge how she got there, and the Buizel was too young at the time to remember. Regardless, Mermes imprinted on the Magikarp and while it took a while, the colony eventually considered her one of their own. For the past few years, the Buizel would go from beyond the pond for a while to find all kinds of items and trinkets. Though she was always careful, her mother taught her how Flying-type Pokemon love to snatch up Magikarp since they're easy prey to them. As a result, when the Buizel had to go to places with a lot of Pokemon outside of the lake, the Buizel learned to make herself seem as unassuming as possible. At one point, Mermes heard of a guild on the Grass Continent known as the Valiant Guild. The Buizel always heard that the teams that work there have some interesting items that she’s curious about trading for, though she's nervous about doing so. Despite her apprehensiveness, with her now fully-evolved mother’s permission, Mermes has come all the way to the Grass Continent, but she had no idea what was in store for her there...
Personality: Mermes is a shy Buizel that tries not to pop out too much, mostly learned behavior that was done to keep one from being snatched up from prey. She’s not the best at social interaction, often stumbling on her own words and forgetting what she was going to say for a moment mid-sentence, and has some peculiar mannerisms such as jumping everywhere despite knowing how to walk. Mermes has an explorative personality as she loves finding items, and is known to be a bit of a hoarder. She’ll be willing to trade items with you. However, expect it to be an extremely awkward exchange, as Mermes pictures it to go perfectly well in her head, but it usually results in either the exchange to go in near silence or for her to run away with her tail between her legs if she's doing the trade with a predatory Pokemon, most notably if it's with a Flying-type Pokemon. She won’t sell her items for Poke and she looks for trades she considers equal, like a Berry for another Berry.
Important Items: Has a big bag which she carries items in, and has a “Scale of Rage”, which is just an ordinary blue quartz in a shape that resembles a Gyarados scale.
Notes: Kind of has a thing going on where she trades with other player characters and other NPCs. She’s not going to have OP items right off the bat, goodness no, but she’s going to have some useful items on her some may consider useful, like Berries and Orbs.
With her now fully-evolved mother’s permission, Mermes has come all the way to the Grass Continent for the start of the RP.
Kinda Breaking the Fourth Wall there...
Appearance-wise, not sure why she has those color eyes. The flower does nicely make her character stand out though.
The whole being raised by Magikarp is kinda interesting, which is the point that first perked my interest. The Shiny Gyarados is pushing the line quite a bit though, as Shiny Pokemon are EXTREMELY rare. However, one of the characters that will be under my control is Shiny, so I think we can work around that. I only feel like there's a lot of history from her growing up that we're not really getting to see, like how much being raised the way she was really affected her other than her prey mindset.
The personality is also interesting, and also somewhat confusing. She's shy and nervous around other Pokemon, but she's openly willing to trade with them? So does she just change when trading is brought up, or does she retain that personality through it all?
As for the whole trading thing, I can work with that. I don't see a problem with that, just remember what you said. And, please, for the love of Arceus, don't make her a Deus Ex Machina for a whole ton of situations. What I mean by that is, don't always have items necessary for the plot to proceed. It would be way too easy for her to just happen to have an exact item the group is looking for.
Grace has heard the stories, she was there when it happened. At first she thought of it as nothing. but but as it happened more and more it became impossible to ignore. The first time it happened Grace was only a child. A meteor was headed for their world. Nobody noticed at first but after days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months, there was someone who finally noticed. It was a human and another pokemon. They had formed a rescue team and together they managed to stop the meteor and save the world. However the world shooked, and the Shaymin Village became blocked by large a large boulder which fell in their pathway. It was years later that a exploration team found the shaymin village and freed them.
There were visitors again, and Grace was old enough to take some to Sky Peak! She met a exploration team and decided to take them up to the mountain. Unknowingly, they had already saved the one once already, stopping the destruction of Temporal Tower. She found out as she was taking them up the mountain. Pokemon were still talking about them, how they saved the world, how one of them were a human turned into a pokemon. That was the second time it happened now. Once they reached the peak of the mountain the team had finished, they loved it. She carried them down on her back to the bottom, it felt wonderful to fly with friends. A few days later the team returned. they asked if she could take them up again and she did. She was glad they did too honestly. Once they reached the peak she asked them a question, could she join their team? They accepted of course. It was wonderful being apart of a team. Soon enough though, the world needed their help again. Pokemon were going into endless sleeps and they soon found it it was Darkrai. It came to a battle against Darkrai. At the time she wasn't able to run but she heard what happened. He tried to escape but Palkia wouldn't allow it. He tried to stop Darkrai. After that day, Grace left the team and returned to her village.
Then it happened for a third time. A human came to the world to stop something called the Bitter Cold created from everyone's darkest of feelings and thoughts. She didn't think lonliness was so bad. Sure she had other shaymin around but she missed the adventure, the fun times. It was after the bitter cold was destroyed that Grace decided to try and cheer up. She didn't want another disaster. With that, she began to explore on her own. She needed excitement and it was obvious at this point. There would always be a world to save, there would always be a problem somewhere.
It was that that point that Grace decided to make a stand. She needed to do something, she couldn't just stand around and wait for someone else to fix the problem! It was after the second Great War that Grace acted. She created her own Guild, Blossoming Hopes. There she would try and recruit members for the guild, try and make a difference in this world. She wanted to be a part of the contribution, she had to be.
The guild was placed in her home, the Shaymin village. The guild was located on top of Sky Peak. She gathered supplies and made a outpost at the rest of the stations for quick travel. Part of the Guild itself went into the mountain itself. At first the only teams were made by adventurous Shaymin. Team Petal, ran by Charlotte, Fawn, Terra and Charlie was the only team that really got into the idea of being apart of the guild. The others only really joined to help her. So she decided to make a team of her own. It took a while but eventually she found two team members who liked the idea. A Joltik called Vicki and a Larvesta called Prometheus. The Team became known as Team Blazing Hope. Even with her being in a team she still took care of guild master duties. She hired a dugtrio to help change the billboards. Together the Guild focused on bringing hope to the world. Defeating criminals, rescuing those in need and exploring new area. That was what the Guild was all about.
As time went on, the Guild became more well known. It gained more visitors and soon enough new team. Team Fire Star was made up of a Quilava named Blaze, and a Fennekin called Red. Another team was Team Buggy Run by a Scolipede, his team was made of Scyther, Ariados and Ninjask. Grace was so happy. Her guild was doing so well. She didn't think she it would work out but because she kept up hope, it did. She needed to show everyone there was always hope in the world.
Personality: Grace is very friendly to others and will do anything in her power to help a pokemon in need. She is stubborn and determined. Once she has her mind set on something she sticks to it until the end. Grace is willing to do whatever it takes to stop the third great war. She is worried Mewtwo will return, it has happened twice already and it could easily happen a third. She has been around long enough that there is never peace in the world and to always prepare for the worst. Like Mew, she was worried that he wouldn't give up.
Important Items: (Only If Applicable)
Notes: If I got the timeline wrong let me know. I'll get a picture later. If there are any problems let me know.
For the fourth wall breaking bit, it's to establish where she is at the start of the RP. And as for the trading aspect, shoot, I didn't expect that to clash with her personality. We could probably say while she's good at trading, she's not the best at communicating during it and prefers to do it in private, even though in her head it was going to go well? Again, didn't realize the personality clashed with the character gimmick. As for her backstory, I'll try to shed more light on that. I'll fix everything once I'm able to be on my computer.
