Alias/Nickname: Booty Warrior, Magical Girl: Love Misery, QT3.14, Kuroyuki
Rank: Knight
Appearance:
Age: 213 Years
Race: Cambion Elder Sidhe. Luxuria had been specifically bred for physical beauty and magic prowess, utilizing her Sidhe heritage to bolster the power of her demons magic. Her demonic ancestor is Lilith, said to be the progenitor of Succubi and Incubi.
Personality: Luxuria is cheerful and excitable. Though a demon she seems to have a positive view in many things, and she pursues happiness with almost childlike glee. Of course there is more to her than that, as she has a certain level of maturity within her as well, but she chooses to embrace her being and pursue the finer things in life rather than to be dour and grumpy like most “adults”.
Luxuria describes herself as a nihilist and believes that life is inherently meaningless, and thus has very little care about herself or anyone else. Because no one truly matters she finds it liberating because it means she can do whatever she wishes with her life, seeing it as more of a blank canvas rather than a wasteland. She would not encourage others to do anything she doesn't intend to do herself, and has very little interest in those who seek to wallow in despair or choose to end their suffering through death. As far as she cares, they've made their choice.
A frequent liar, pretender, and schemer, Luxuria is no stranger to befriending others under false pretenses or manipulating them for her own amusement. That being said she can sometimes be so convincing with her lies that she even fools herself, as the best lies are the true ones. Being a liar also allows her incredible flexibility with her emotions and subsequently her mental state, as she can twist and transform her state of mind into whatever it is that is needed or desired. She can turn a spell of insanity into a song of courage, the feeling of dread into dripping anticipation, and a bloody fury into throes of passion.
Biography/history: Luxuria's history is a fairly long one for a mortal, but short for various long-lived races. She was born among a brood of other Cambrian demons, bred for the sole purpose of appearances. She was never meant to escape the brood and serve merely as a handmaiden to the highest bidder. Practically born into slavery, though the culture that her parents were in endorsed this. Luxuria's own mother, a succubi by the name of Francesca, was also born for a similar purpose and enjoyed many benefits for it. It helped that ultimately they were born for one singular purpose to serve their grand matriarch, the mother of all Succubi and Inccubi, Lilith.
That being said Luxuria wasn't a complete tool. At a young age she, like many succubi, had a chaotic spirit and a boundless curiosity. While many of her siblings were disciplined or cowed in line, Luxuria didn't follow the rules so easily. She wandered the halls of her home and spied on the activities of others, eventually learning how to leave the house and explore outside. Luxuria was a free spirit and her family noticed this quiet soon. And instead of trying to quell it, they embraced Luxuria's independence. And so at the young age of 15 years, Luxuria was kicked out from home and left to wander the world on her own.
Despite how harsh this may seem to a mortal, it was a blessing for Luxuria. Free spirited she may be, she was already quite adapt with the basic succubi spells granted through her covenant with Lilith. And it was her magical talents that caught the eyes of a gang known as the Daughters of Chaos. Magically endowed girls who desired to use their magic for their own selfish ends. They stole anything they wanted and killed whoever tried to stop them, a violent gang of misfits to be sure. Luxuria fitted right in. Though only some of her magic could help in a fight, they taught Luxuria their signature spells and how to survive the rough city streets and life within the gangs. The succubi spawn in turn used her talents to their benefit, seducing and stealing the life force of targets so her fellow sisters could rob and steal to their hearts delight.
The Daughters of Chaos reigned for about thirty years before eventually the senior members simply lost interest in their lifestyle. Many had "Matured" and moved onto more sophisticated and profitable ventures, or had simply left or died, leaving nothing but the young initiates who lacked the ambition or power to really change the Daughters. Luxuria herself had grown rather weary of the thievery and murder she participated in, not out of guilt but boredom. They never truly faced off against a real challenge and just robbed commoners and the occasional middle-class merchant. After the Daughters of Chaos dissolved, Luxuria continued wandering the world.
Eventually she cleaned up her act and appearance. That is to say, she tried not to act like a menace to society, stealing and fighting with random people for entertainment. But she was still a succubi in spirit, and a devout follower of Lilith to boot. Fortunately she found a community within the young, blooming college crowd. Humanity had suddenly started to innovate with marvelous technology and civilizations, where young mortal people congregated to educate and socialize. Mortals who still lusted for base desires, which Luxuria had no problems servicing. Luxuria became a fellow student and learned various subjects, but mainly used the opportunity to service the various Janes and Johns as a prostitute. It was a good gig, and unlike her time with the Daughters of Chaos, Luxuria actually made many friends while doing so.
Not only did Luxuria expand her social circle, but she also actually started to study and improve on her magics. The college she applied for had a magic course and with Luxuria's natural talent she did quite well for herself. While most mortals only spent four to six years at the college, Luxuria took advantage of her long lived lifestyle and spent thirty years learning from the college, improving her magic as well as familiarizing herself to the variety of new technology and trends coming into the world. She kept in contact with the men and women who moved on and made something of themselves, some who reached great heights and influence, others who were left to squander in the dust.
Whimsy guided Luxuria's next steps as she left the college town to the big city: Angel's Landing. She had heard of it from many her of past clients, a prosperous city where the future was. Luxuria had neither the time nor money until some stiff reforms cracked down on Luxuria's business and severely limited her ability to sustain both her lifestyle and life energy. With no more reason to stay Luxuria packed her backs and took the first ship to Angel's Landing, the home of the future. Here many races intermingled, and was far larger than any city Luxuria had seen before. Even if she had seen the city on television before, everything was much bigger in person. Luxuria was quickly able to find a home for herself at an aptly named Succubus Shop: a demon hostess club that catered for those with deviant taste, but didn't wish to suffer from legal ramifications. That is to say, utilizing a Succubi's ability to manipulate dreams, they would visit men and women who have contracted them to create fantasies beyond their wildest imagination, all for a stipend of life energy. No sex needed, and this way patrons were free to indulge in all their depraved, horrific fetishes without anyone bring harmed.
While having the company of her fellow Succubi was a pleasure, Luxuria wasn't just here for sex. She was here for adventure and fun. And to take advantage of her new contacts as well; Luxuria paid a visit to many of the now older men and women who she had serviced in the past, many whom were more than willing to do a favor for Luxuria for her services rendered. It was while Luxuria was visiting friends that she heard of just how bad Angel's Landing can be. Mercenary Organizations were everywhere due to the corporate warfare engaged by the various businesses, not to mention gangs so powerful the Daughters of Chaos would look like brats with slingshots compared to them. Not one to fall behind however, Luxuria quickly found herself in the company of an organization herself: The Tower of Stars.
Reason for recruitment: Whimsy. Seems like a fun thing to do with this part of her life.
Strength of Will: Greater
Magic: As a descendant of Lilith, mother of all Succubi and Incubi, Luxuria is quite talented in magic that manipulates the mind, namely Illusions and Enchantment. That being said she has also dabbled in many other magics over her long existence, and makes use of all of them should she find some need for it. But Illusions and Enchantments is her primary spell focus.
Luxuria draws magic from various sources both channeled and wild, and primarily relies on her innate channeled magic due to the simplicity. However magic controlled from wild energy are far more powerful if taxing.
Succubi Magic - Luxuria channels magic through the blessing granted to her by Lilith, a powerful demon who grants her children power, should they give Lilith proper dues. Many of these spells are iconic of a Succubi, or at least useful for them.
Hypnotic Gaze - An innate ability thanks to Luxuria’s innate succubus heritage, those who look into her eyes are more susceptible to her suggestions, as well as ignorant to their surroundings. If either she or her target looks away the spell ends, but her target cannot do so willingly after they've been captured. The longer the Gaze the more extreme Luxuria’s commands can be, though if she tries to command her target to do something they would absolutely refuse, the control through her Hypnotic Gaze is lessen.
Dream Stride - Another innate Succubus spell. Dream Stride allows Luxuria to instinctively know when people are asleep and enter their dreams, being fully lucid and in control of her own actions while within the dream. Luxuria can enter a dreamlike trance to create an astral projection of herself who seeks out dreaming people, and when she enters their dreams not only is she more lucid and in control of herself, she can freely manipulate the dream.
As a Succubus Luxuria can empower her Dream Stride into Dream Eater, where she not only interacts and manipulates the dream, but also drains life force from those whose dreams she's in. This draining is never lethal, however it can cause the dreamer to awaken exhausted and physically unwell. By draining the life force from someone Luxuria can restore her own energies, allowing her to heal wounds and stave off hunger.
On the flip side, Luxuria can also do the opposite, Dream Feast, where she gives her life energy to others in their dreams in order to give them a more fulfilling rest as well as healing their wounds and ailments. This can kill Luxuria if she gives too much of her energy away.
Unnatural Lust - One if Luxuria’s favorite spells. Unnatural Lust feels a target with great infatuation towards another person or Luxuria herself. She can either choose to have the target be immediately filled with lustful desires, causing them to charge straight towards the target of their affections to caress and kiss them, or simply hold an unhealthy amount of adoration towards the target and become more susceptible to their romantic or sexual suggestions. Those who would not normally be attracted to the recipient are more resistant to the effects of this spell, but not entirely immune.
Devil Sight - A passive magic spell innate for Succubus. This spell simply allows them perfect clarity in total darkness. Additionally creatures who are normally invisible or are magically invisible can be seen if there is no light source around. Luxuria can activate this spell in order to see in dark places even if there is some light sources around. This spell activates automatically in total darkness.
Drain Touch - A Necromancy spell that drains the life energy from those Luxuria touches. This spell only drains energy gradually, thus better suited over prolonged contact. Each second of contact makes the target more weary, part of their bodies starting to feel sore and tired. All the while Luxuria’s own body is revitalized by absorbing said life energy.
Wings - Quite simply the ability for Luxuria to bring her wings out. Tough and leathery wings capable of high speeds, high attitude maneuvers. In a pinch they can also serve as protective shields, however damage to the wings makes them less maneuverable during flight. The wings can be destroyed without causing Luxuria physical pain, however it will take time before they regenerate back to usable form. Though the wings can heal faster if she uses her own essence.
Gender Fluid - This spell simply allows Luxuria to change her gender to male, female, or any twisted combination of the two. Her appears remains roughly the same. For all intents and purposes, Luxuria still identifies herself as female even when in a male form simply because that’s the form she was born as.
While Luxuria is reasonably competent at the magics granted to her through her covenent with Lilith, she’s also skilled in utilizing Wild magic to use spells she doesn’t have access to otherwise. Here her Sidhe’s blood truly shines, as she is capable of a wide variety of spells to cover her in various situations.
Silent Image - Luxuria’s signature spell. This spell allows her to create the image of whatever her imagination desires, covering an arena of fifty square feet or less. This spell has been honed and perfected so that not only does Luxuria not need an incantation or verbal component, the effect of the spell itself does not even detect as magic unless sensed by a powerful Mage, at least one strong enough to bring back the dead and stop time. This spell is so attuned to Luxuria that she needs no concentration to maintain the spell, and she can use multiple Silent Images without canceling out other castings of the spell. Still, Silent Image only creates illusions, and nothing the spell creates is real or physical on its own. Luxuria often uses this spell to disguise herself or turn invisible (via creating an image of “nothing”).
In combat she can use this spell to create Mirror Images of herself, which creates identical doppelgangers who occupy her area to foil attacks. She could be any of the copies, not always the one at the center, nor the one who's actively attacking. Luxuria’s Silent Image can also be used to obstruct visibility by creating an impenetrable darkness or blinding light, neither of which obstruct Luxuria herself.
Luxuria’s illusions continue to exist even after they've been ousted as illusions, either because they've been interacted with or because they're somehow informed of the illusion. As Luxuria is the source of the illusion, in order to dispel Silent Image one has to go directly to Luxuria and dispel the magic on her, as dispelling the illusion directly will achieve nothing but a frivolous use of dispel magic.
Slumber - Causes a target to fall into a deep slumber at least eight hours long. Loud noises or even the sound of combat will not awaken the target, though being attacked or roused by someone will. Those who do not need to sleep are immune to this spell.
Silence - Luxuria covers an area, object, or person in a field of silence for ten minutes. No sound is made within this area and any spell that relies on verbal in incantation or audible effects can be used. Those within the area of silence are also effectively deaf. When used on a person the spell blocks any sound made directly by the person, such as their voice or if they fire a gun or bang on a drum. It does not stop sound made by actions afterwards, such as if a bullet fired from the silenced gun hits someone who screams or if a bomb goes off and causes a building to collapse.
Good Hope - A positive spell that allows Luxuria to fill those she desires with courage and strength. It removes feelings of doubt and fear and helps remove or at least focus anger so that they can concentrate their fury on their enemy. Only lasts for five minutes.
Ghost in the Machine - A fairly new spell that Luxuria has learned. Similar to Dreamstride this spell allows her to enter the programming of a Machine and change it from the inside. As most machines are not protected by magic she can essentially “hack” most forms of technology, subverting their technological firewalls. Even those with magical protection just requires Luxuria to focus her magic to subvert their defenses much the same way a regular hacker would through a firewall, but with more magic involved. This is a fairly new spell as well, having only been created seven years ago and still obscure to mages not up to date with modern technology.
Mindless Magic - Not So much a spell as metamagic, Mindless Magic allows Luxuria to use her spells on foes who are normally immune to things like illusion and enchantment, such as the undead or machines. This will allow them to be fooled by illusions, as well as fall asleep, feel love, or have their mind controlled. Spells channeled through Mindless Magic must be concentrated and maintained, as the spells will immediately fade away if Mindless Magic is interrupted.
Evil Eye - This spell creates a floating, intangible, invisible runic eye which Luxuria can control at will. She can choose to let this eye float freely in place, follow a given path, or even attach it to someone or something. Through this eye Luxuria can sense the area around the Eye as if she was there herself, but without the risk of actually being physically presence. She can see, smell, hear, feel, and even taste the are where the Eye is, but she otherwise will not be harmed. Even if there is an effect that would overload the senses or otherwise affect her based on her senses, it will not affect Luxuria through the Evil Eye. Luxuria can only maintain one Evil Eye at a time, and it will only last for an hour.
Pyromancer’s Flame - This simple spell awakens the fire within Luxuria, allowing her to engulf her hand in magic fire. She can make the flames hot enough to burn or cold enough that they do not harm or set things on fire. They can also illuminate a bright light like a torch. The main purpose of the Pyromancer Flame is to bolster the strength of Fire spells, doubling their power while decreasing the amount of magical energies needed to cast those spells. However the Pyromancer Flame cannot cast spells that are not fire based.
Chaos Fire Orb - Luxuria materializes a small, condensed ball of magma in her hand. When she releases it the ball expands into a five feet diameter orb of molten magma that explodes into a volcanic eruption upon impact, leaving behind a pool of lava for a few minutes. Powerful, but only usable five times a day. She learned this spell back during her days with the Daughters of Chaos.
Toxic Cloud - Luxuria spits out a large thick black smog of toxic poison. Not only does this cloud hinder visibility those who enter the cloud will be sicken, and the cloud is so toxic and acidic that their skin and equipment will begin to burn and corrode. Oddly enough, a Pyromancer spell as the source of the smoke comes from burning impurities and poison using Luxuria’s inner flame.
Exquip - This spell allows Luxuria to summon a chosen object or set of clothing onto her body. Typically this is her armor, though she can also equip objects such as a purse, cell phone, or sandwich. If summoned through Exquip she can dismiss the summon and the object returns to where it was previously left.
God relations: Luxuria cares nothing for the gods, and holds the demon Lilith in high regards. As the progenitor of all Succubi, Luxuria pays her service by offering her own Life Energy through a specialized ritual. These are typically the same nights when Luxuria can also replenish her Life Energy, to ensure that she is still in good health. If Luxuria does not do these rituals regularly (Or within reason), she’ll be immediately stripped of her demonic magic, leaving her only with the spells she has learned on her own.
Tech:
Booty Warrior Suit - A fifteen meter mech that Luxuria had purchased through money she’s obtained over fifty-two years of investing and saving. While Luxuria has many magical and demonic abilities that gives her an edge over common riff raff, her physical abilities are less than your average compared to a brute demon or even more physically inclined mortal creature. To make up for this weakness Luxuria has purchased this mech to bolster her strength beyond what she could achieve on her own, which also serves a dual purpose of being her “Disguise” during her more vigilante moments. She intentionally has given the mech a misleading and ridiculous name in other to catch her enemies off guard.
Gaggle Glasses - This high tech pair of specs serves as Luxuria’s cellphone, computer, radar, and hacking device all at once. Not only can she do basic things such as make calls and search the web, her glasses are programmed with various radars and sensors to pick up the presence and activities of others, even such things as magical anomalies or even the presence of illusions. The most dangerous thing about these glasses is the Libra.exe. Connected to a vast database, the Libra.exe program can scan anything Luxuria is looking at and get all information the database has on the target, as well as detect other details such as the health, makeup, inventory, mood, and purpose of both object and people.
Possessions/items/property: Luxuria lives at a demon hostess club in the city called the Succubus Shop, with most of her personal belongings there. Unknown to Luxuria, the owner of the club is one of Luxuria’s siblings, who lets Luxuria stay there due to orders from their parents.
Luxuria also owns multiple valuable but ultimately powerless artifacts worth a considerable amount of money due to their historic value, though unfortunately lack any other notable strength to make them practical otherwise. She holds onto these artifacts to pawn them off to buyers when she needs the money.
Lastly Luxuria has a demonic scythe as a weapon, though it's more ceremonial than anything else. She can use it as her magic focus and cut people with it, though she doesn't have any training to use it as a proper weapon.
Misc:
Luxuria's mech, the Booty Warrior, was something she brought with the vast amount of wealth she saved up through the various contacts she's made over the years. Prior to joining the Tower of Stars she commissioned the Mech to do battle against various murderers and thugs who would cause trouble around her home, or attack other prostitutes who Luxuria was friends with. She's earned the name "Booty Warrior" for her method of punishing the criminals who are not turned into a bloody stain: a vicious and often lethal spanking. Many should tremble when they hear the steps of that which may be the violently anal crusader of justice.
Luxuria also has some internet fame, having once starred as a character for an online series called "Hearts of the Arcane", a series about Magical Girls fighting against the forces of evil. Her role was that of the Magical Girl: Love Misery, a fallen Magical Girl who uses her powers to make people jealous towards others. She had quite a bit of a reputation when the showed aired as Luxuria was the only actor who had no compulsions against sexualizing herself in a series that was suppose to be PG-13. While she never did anything R-Rated, fan art of Luxuria still circulates in certain circles of the internet. Whenever Luxuria has/wants to interact with anyone online, she generally tries to use the alias "QT3.14".
Kuroyuki is Luxuria's alias whenever she needs to be "Normal", such as applying to college or going undercover. Although she's only suppose to be an alias Kuroyuki actually has many documents and legal papers supporting her existence, essentially allowing Luxuria to live a double-life. Called "Yuki" by her friends, she's supposedly a barrister at the Succubus Club, which is also what Luxuria does when she isn't working as one of said succubi.
If you two want to wrap up the collab and then make sure you just post into the staging area you're welcome to go on mission. If not then just hang out at the Tower.
Hopefully after this next round of posts we can move things along. I just wanted to make sure I didn't lose anyone to player atrophy. You guys are impressive >.< I seem to have found a good group of people.
I don't suppose there'll be any missions for us if we head to the tower? I don't know if Malakaus would've gotten any info about where to rendezvous for the staging area. Also I don't know where the Staging Area is, reading back over y'all posts now.
@Lucius Cypher The assumption is that anyone who was on the team would have gotten an email. And the Tower has four big open areas connected by a central shaft that runs the length of the Tower and connect to exterior docking bays. Its typically the last stop for teams on missions that require air transport.
If you want to come up with your own mission by all means do so. Anyone else left at the Tower I'll crash your party as soon as this team is out the door which is my hope with my next post.
@ChickenTeriyaki No worries go for it. Megelis just ditched the three characters in the Staging area to go run an errand (I.E.: I'm stalling to see how long Wind is going to be gone for so I can edit Kirane into or out of the next segment neatly.) On the bright side Ayala and Crow should be there now.
Sorry if some of the responses are short but I'm doing my best to manage four threads of story which intend to turn into two quite soon.
