#1 True Story (sort of)
Haruka was one of the first characters I ever played, when I started forum roleplaying about 15 years ago. Mostly everything in her Bio is actually stuff that happened during that first roleplay, which ran for three IRL years. In the original story, Suzaku never admitted his feelings for Haruka until his death, where they shared "The World's Most Awkward Love Confession of All Time".
In the original story, Kenta did not retire as a ninja; instead, he faked his death during the same battle where Suzaku died and left the village to join a group of "Baddies" trying to create the perfect soldier and end all war and fighting united under one true "God".
Originally, her parents were both ninja who died during the Third Shinobi War, with Haruka actually being pulled out of the womb of her dead mother to save her life, two months before she should have been born. She lived with her older brother.

I'm not sure how this happened, but I think it had something to do with the contrast her her being such a bulky, masculine girl/woman. Suzaku was feminine, too, so she was always like that.
#3 Nothing is actually wrong with her chakra
Despite the fact that she often claims that her chakra is faulty, that she is not able to do techniques and anything similar to that, her chakra actually works just fine and she would be able to mold it like everyone else if she just had the concentration for it.
#4 Butterflies everywhere
Haruka has, in every version of her, had some sort of tie to butterflies. Usually, she draws a summoning contract with butterflies when she gets older. This is actually due to the fact that I, her player, suffer from lepidopterophobia (the phobia of butterflies) and it was/is used as a sort of therapy for me.
#5 Never indulged
Before moving to Gobigakure, Haruka lived a strict life of harsh, daily training with a serious diet that did not allow for things like sweets or alcohol. Even on the days where she did not have missions, Haruka spent the majority of her time training. She eats insane amounts of food, and meat in particular, but she always stuck to her diet.
She's a sweetheart, though, as long as you don't piss her off. Also, not dwarf, just really 
But yeah. It's probably healthier to just not let her hit you. She doesn't always use her "chakra enhanced strength", though. Most of the time she just punches people in the face like a normal brick house.
