A LITTLE BIT OF INFO: This is an interest check for a possible group of writers experienced in anime-stylized tropes and characterization, as I have been utterly convinced to sort of series-boot a longstanding roleplay I started with two of my friends about a decade ago. This does NOT mean you have to read through ten years of collective writing as most of the collective information has been wiped up to a point and all the information required would be in a theoretical OOC thread that I would be tasked to make. I would ask for those within the interest with characterization admit that they are in for a possible lengthy series (as the original lasted very long as I mentioned). In addition to that, I’d hope that I don’t get any sort of players who can’t write at length and by that I mean being cohesive in narrative but enough to keep it on sort of a “high casual” expectation—which means a few paragraphs, characterization where the world does NOT revolve around you, and the hope’s to create something where character progression and depth are the goals.
WARNING: The villains in this roleplay are scaled as competent, have lethal techniques, and use teleportation as a vital technique. Character vitality is completely up in the air outside of GM-approved instances, so if you want to run-in-blind then expect to get hurt. This isn’t Dragon Ball Z where there is reincarnation nor is there convenient ways to get better in short amounts of time.
MORE INFO: This is the world of Sengia— a world where things like spiritual magic (think ki/chi from Dragon Ball Z and chakra from Naruto) exist alongside elemental magic (think bending from Avatar), and soul weapons (not quite Bleach, but inspired by). Amongst normal sort of people these things are slowly becoming forgotten, though there are exceptions in the GM-designed regions and countries which I would list in an OOC of course. So the real idea here is to do that kind of “shonen action” thing and bring some new faces to something that I can do a lot better in my twenties then I did in my teens.
STORY INFO: In the swamps of Teriv, in a nation named the Consulate of Dun, a former vassal of the King of Acre—a terrible streak of massacres plagued the wild frontier of the people of Dun. The people involved satirically bore white cloaks in an attempt to mock the religiously devout of the swamplands as these people (nicknamed “The Order” by the people they terrorize) began to claim their gods and old ways were relics of days passed. A small group of people (Marlowe Bladeson, Mathis Rauzil, Kath Sentarous, Deya Talis, and Otis Malr) stood up in the defense of the populations that began to cower in fear of their lives. This Order would then take the life of Otis Malr before being defeated by the surviving members which became known as a sort of defense against the Orderlings. However, Erik Gandil (aka: Gandilos), spoke one line to them:
“I am not the end of our crusade, and I am just the beginning—more will come: stronger, smarter, and deadlier.”
This was a year ago.

MAGIC said Magic is the study of the mystical, spiritual, and paranormal aspects of life. While a “science” in definition, magical science is something that contemporary scientists who wield progressive modern viewpoints shelf as superstitions and folklore.
It is said that magical energies have been a natural part of the world since creation itself and any religion on the planet will tell you their version of who was responsible and why it is so, however through a non-religious perspective it’s really difficult to say anything about magic otherwise that it exists in many forms. This can be separated into several categories: spirit, elemental, celestial, cosmic, and psionic.
Celestial
“There are artifacts in this world defined into two realms... darkness & light. There are people who can tap into them for better or worse.” - Caim Azihar
The fragments of the realms of daemos and ancestros split their energies into two halves: chaos and darkness from daemos, harmony and light from ancestros. The true power of “heaven” and “hell” is hard to place, but what is known is that there are ways to tap into the celestial bodies and the spirits that inhabit there. The first creatures of daemos (perverted souls) and the first creatures of ancestros (benevolent souls) gave their gifts to the first men who touched their realm and it almost destroyed the world. The aftermath however has created several holy orders such as the Hunters of Kael’van and the Holy Order of warrior monks that hails from Rakir. The accursed worshipers from the various parts of the worlds though do ultimately still exist despite their obscurity….
Darkness - Domain: Sin - capable of curses, hexes, demonic binding, etc.
Light - Domain: Virtue - capable of blessings, healing, ancestral summoning, etc.
Cosmic

It is believed that cosmic (or arcane) energy exists within everything that exists in the world such as plants, earth, water, and air. However, this is not believed to be spirit energy but something else entirely. First discovered by Arcanus Potestatis when he felt a uneasy energy in the world. Cosmic magic can be forged into several fantastical shapes such as pseudo-elements, weapons, auras, and various countless things.
Elemental
“There is a power in the blood of the few, a power to control and fabricate the elements: flame, storm, frost, tides, earth, air, and nature itself.” - Alahir Sentarous
Nicknamed “blood magic” by a few, elemental connections are another ancient magic that exists in the world. It is unsure why the clans descended from Primitus (nature), Sentar (flame), Svellhalr (frost), Kataloni (storm), Aerrheolwr (air), Kamensdvig (earth), and Marée (tides). This magic manifests as the manipulation and creation of the elements they bear. Within this bloodbound magic also lies an ability of resurrection where the user experiences a "soul death" and can cheat their fate once. It is also noted that those descended to control Nature are the only to be able to control all of the elements despite being unable to control it.
These elements can be trained and ascended, as such is the power scale:
Air -> Sound
Earth -> Metal
Fire -> Molten Flame
Ice -> True Ice
Lightning -> Plasma
Water -> Dark Water
Eternity Force

The Sins of Chaos and the Virtues of Harmony are forces we still don’t understand. These fragments of energy became latent artifacts with medium's that kept the three worlds connected known as The Force of Eternity. This Force were discovered by peoples unknown; but the current peoples of Ehki and Lazeruzi inhabit runes of their nature and worship them. The danger of these runes is that they overwhelming of power and domination of their nature.

Psionic

Heralded from the Academy of Volontà de Mente in Cyre, the magic of a psion is not exclusive to the people there though it is specialized within the culture. Psion's are clairvoyants, mediums, and combatants of the mind to do feats not imagined possible such as object levitation, mental domination, event precognition, and combat psychokinesis to name a few.
Spirit
“It’s the extension of the energy that our soul produces which we would otherwise be oblivious to—it’s not our life energy itself, but a byproduct in which is possibly the most spiritual and natural connection we have.” - Entas Rialos
Known throughout the eastern world as “aura”, “mana” in the central deserts, “chakra” in the south-western world, and “ki” in the north-western world, the conception of spiritual magic is one of the oldest in history. Such magic is the manipulation of the spiritual energy that is contained within the human body that is produced. Once grasped correctly, it is then directed through the various channels to any of the gateways in the body and then can be controlled or manipulated to create various effects that would not be possible.
These techniques produced by such spirit navigation are accumulated into several categories:
Sensory Arts - Use of spiritual energy within the domain of the mind, enhancing the mental attributes of the user such as perception and the senses.
Physical Arts - Use of spiritual energy within the domain of the body, enhancing the physical attributes of the user such as strength and dexterity.
Energy Arts - Use of spiritual energy within the domain of the spirit, utilizing attacks such as “energy blasts”.
Transmutative Arts - Use of spiritual energy within the domain of the soul, changing spiritual alignment for a variety of uses.
