quick Q, how close does an epic have to be to their weakness to be shut down? I'm just looking at some character sheets, and physical object weaknesses are a bit confusing to me. Like for Phantom, he has to actually drink the tea, but some people have their weaknesses as being in the vicinity, etc.

Also, if you need another villain, I could make another character, unless we're strictly following a one-character limit for each person. It wouldn't be hard, I've got a few ideas

@Mercenary Lord
On the villain...

Feel free to submit a CS. I personally am fine with two characters, though I'd have to discuss with Reg on more than that.

Weaknesses differ, in all honesty. They're unique to the person, and even if you share a thing with another, they're going to function differently.

So while Phantom has to drink it, another person might not be able to even smell it, but could drink it. And another might not be able to even be near it.

Others are more... Concepts than physical things. It's really tied into your history, generally something you had a negative action with, or it can seem random. Maybe ironic with your peers, like Stark.

Does that help?

yeah, thanks.

I was just looking at Null's CS and I was envisioning a fighting in a supermarket near the dairy section would be funny, with cheese sticks flying and all. For further clarification, would a person standing in the middle of cottage cheese be safe from Null, or does SHE have to be standing in the cottage cheese?

(not actually planning this fight, i just think it would be funny)

In her particular case, she needs to be around it.

If it was something more physical, like lead, then it would have been different.

Like I said, it's really specific per person in a way. And I always encourage questions.

Announcement
After discussing the matter for a bit now, Reg and I have decided to institute a Post Minimum requirement. From here on out, please ensure your IC post is at least two paragraphs in length.

Thank you.

You're cleared for the IC again.

The only thing we'd like to work out is if a named Hero bested him originally, and if so which one. Did you have a preference?

im thinking about a character who is blast-proof, and controls gas/air pressures to perform a variety of abilities, named Bombard

Go ahead and make up a CS when you're ready and we'll see what happens.

@thewizardguy@Old Amsterdam, may I suggest Spectrum in her naïve excited rookie hero days, when she wasn't smart enough to be scared and was exhilirated to just be in EC catching villains?

I can get behind that. It would be a decent matchup leading to defeat on Jack's part.

Makes sense to me. Jack was being arrogant at the time. Caught off guard meeting someone else with significant abilities, he probably didn't even put up much of a fight.

Sorry for the wall'o'text. Figured I need to do a proper intro for Jack, and his evil scheming ways.

For those questioning how he managed to give someone powers:
The operation was to tattoo marks onto Daniel. The tattoo forms a network, which uses kinetic energy to negate the impact of attacks. When an attack is performed against Daniel, the network releases a pulse of energy exactly equal to the force of the impact. As such, Daniel has become virtually immune to physical attack, gaining 'the power of Achilles'. Of course, one can still harm him by simply hitting him until the network runs out of energy, attacking him with something that can't be reflected with kinetic energy (lasers, heat, etc.), or by using Jack's kryptonite of course.

Speaking of which....

@Regitnui
Jack's weakness has been altered to be slightly more specific, as 'happiness' is a fairly vague and broad weakness.

Howdy ya'll. I saw your RP and liked the premise surrounding it. Similarly I recognize quiet a few of the names here. I also can see that the cast is quiet extensive, so I figured I'd ask if there are still open spaces for new guys? I do have a request though, may a be a villian with henchmen/a power that makes henchmen?

@Deos Morran, you can certainly join with a villain. I'd recommend having an organization rather than being a minion maker, but if you can come up with something interesting...

I've got a few ideas ranging from basically Lex Luther, to Shadowmancer, to Corrupting Virus... type... guy. But either way it goes down I want to have something strong on my side to deal with all of these valiant heroes. Not in the sense of like... I'm an all powerful God. But liek expendable resources that heroes can fight and beat without me feeling like I'm spending vital things and I can't make much happen for a minute. Ya know?

Hmmm.... my character's current schtick is basically creating superpowered minions. If you're making another villain, then maybe they could be buddies? I dunno.

@Deos Morran, I do know. I can suggest a number of things. Ablative "bubbles" that your character generates, durability, robot clones...
