On Earth-5 the Earth was completely flooded. The only survivors live in the Lightspeed Aquabase. Even with the expansion it is cramped and there is a lot of fighting among the residents, but Billy the resident genius discovered a way to rip open the fabric of reality. The first world they discovered was called perfect by the press, because of the pristine untouched beauty. Colonization began immediately, during the regular check in window in which Billy open the portal again they found the colony was nothing but a charred ruin. The Lightspeed Rescue Rangers were sent to investigate who or what did this to their people. After an exhaustive ten day search of the planet by air and sea no sentient life was found, not even corpses. Earth-Perfect was declared off limits and highly dangerous due to the mysterious nature of the disappearance of their people. Billy began ripping holes into other universes and found an unsettling number of charred ruins and each time no threat could be found.
Finally after six months of investigations they found a planet under attack at that very moment. The Lightspeed Rescue Rangers were sent to help. After they successfully saved the city they were helping they saw how the monsters were leaving, the same way they did. The threat was from another universe. Billy immediately began developing a way to block transport from another universe to protect their base and to protect another universe, but no matter what he tried he failed.
Then one day while the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers were saving another city in another universe the badguys sent in their
biggest gun to kill the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers. The only one to come back was Ryan the Titanium Ranger, he died shortly after. The Titanium Morpher was beyond repair. Without any Rangers and too much of their resources being diverted to keep the people alive they didn’t have the time to develop another set of Morphers.
Dana Mitchell retired as a Ranger after the death of her father to take over as the leader of the Aquabase ordered the device to allow multiverse travelled shut down. Billy didn’t listen because there was a threat to the Aquabase that could for them at any moment. He opened it one last time to the most technologically advanced place he could find. He began working on a new set of Ranger Powers. The strongest he has ever seen. His inspiration came from the night sky, he modeled the Ranger Powers after the constellations. Billy then began recruiting people from around the multiverse to save the multiverse from the nameless monstrosities attacking it.
