@Crusader Lord: I actually talked this over with Rain if it helps because it looked like an attack was inevitable and no-one wants to lose a character this early.

We worked out something that we both felt would make sense. I should have mentioned that before to everyone, sorry. ^^;

@Raineh Daze A dead apostle summoning assassin and a braggart!Saber?...I can definitely understand trying to and wanting to off them on page one.

@VitaVitaAR O_O Well, i wouldn't have guessed that you two had made plans for this. I was really just having Elizabeth check out the situation, and prime Jack for a strike in case Saber did anything towards Johanna.

Once we saw the situation, we both realized it was prime Jack Attack! opportunity and also that no-one wants to die this early on. So in the interest of giving everyone stuff to do, we worked out a compromise that would allow for something to happen here and also avoid anyone dying anticlimactically on the first night.

No, the braggart summoned Saber. And gave away his location. And boasted about summoning Saber. So basically, a vampire samurai and Jack paid the guy a visit whilst his Servant was about twenty flights of stairs down. It was hilarious. Also killed the RP because the guy refused to accept the consequences of being that abysmally stupid.

It's been several days and there was a high chance Jack might be in a position to off someone. With Saber possibly joining in against Johanna and Jack being able to stop Saber by going for Mira, it came up. :P

@Raineh Daze Ah, one of those roleplayers who gets wound up about Stupid!Decisions and the RP ends up dying because of said braggart's Stupid!Arguing o related results of it thereof.

But nah, if i had known about the plans beforehand i would have gone along just fine. :)

But on the note of whiners nearly killing RP's with stupid decisions....i actually have a story for that! :D

Also the roleplay was set in London. Did I mention that IIRC, they gave away their Servant's identity as Uther Pendragon too? It was insane.

@VitaVitaAR :O

Cool. :D

What was the name of the RP anyways? I get the feeling the name was fittingly Fate-based, or was perhaps ironic to the incident. XD

@Rin Also, if you ever start a Little Witch RP that would be awesome and i'd probably join.

@Raineh Daze Uther Pendragon...in London....yeah, i wouldn't have given that name away or anything. Though i am not sure how he qualifies to be a servant myself, at least in regards to a Noble Phantasm.

@Crusader Lord: I don't actually recall the name of the RP. Aside from... something Fate-based obviously.

Let's put it this way: he painted a giant target on his Master's head, and had the strongest Assassin for London around. It was game over even before the Master was one that could keep Saber occupied for long enough to let Jack finish things.

Posted. Just for clarification, @Crusader Lord, I really don't mind however Elizabeth responds to Mira's panic attack - most of that impressive narration was more meant to be taken as Mira desperately trying to reassure herself that she's powerful so she won't be too terrified to move. Whether she gets hit by anything or not is entirely up to you, but I figured that Mira wouldn't come off entirely stable after getting nearly murdered for the second time in the span of a few minutes, so "FIRE EVERYTHING!" was pretty much the natural option. XD

@Feyblue: Um, given the situation...

A couple things um, given she's supposed to be weaker outside of her mansion that seems like it's a bit too far, the way it's described puts it beyond Medea's skillset as Caster.

Also since the mist is in place it's impossible to really target anything and Saber really only intercepted the curse through sound, so trying to find anything is kind of useless.

Finally um was trying to reasonably get through this bit without anyone's characters having to die which meant this kind of not becoming another fight because someone will definitely die then um.

I guess it's just we kind of talked this over to keep this making sense and giving stuff to do while also avoiding anything that would lead to a full-on engagement or successful assassination attempt or anything um.

@VitaVitaARBeyond Medea's skillset as Caster? You flatter me, but no. These are curses that rapidly accelerate the decay of flesh, based in the concept of a memento mori or inducement of illness taken to its logical extreme through rapid necrosis, not giant death lasers that eradicate all in their path. As for moving the attack to point A to point B when it's launched, although it's seemingly like teleportation, that's actually just a usage of Flash Air, swapping one thing for an equivalent. Since both the curse and her familiars' down takes the form of crow feathers, the swap was made possible, although the difference in Prana intensity makes it inefficient. Flash Air is also an imperfect transposition which degrades the things swapped, reducing the curses' power somewhat as a drawback, and necessitating the absolutely massive expenditure of Prana she just used in order to overclock her curses to the point where they'd still be effective even after being replaced.

As for picking out her target, that's why she didn't go for Assassin. The Mist covers a dozen to two dozen meters, if I'm not mistaken, but Elizabeth was taking off running with Reinforcement magecraft in the direction of the Church - an easy target for Mira's crows to spot. Speaking of which, the reason she's less efficient outside her mansion is because in order to perform Flash Air, she needs her familiars to spot for her... all of which are currently located right here because she was gathering them to her location throughout the Rider fight to keep an eye out for ambushes. Even so, it's still less efficient, which is why she utterly burned herself out launching one attack.

TL;DR: This is pretty much the equivalent of Tohsaka throwing out a Jewel storing high powered magecraft at Saber during the prologue - a desperate attack with as much power as the caster can muster, but lacking in much precision or guidance after being fired. The curses don't home in on their target, and can still be blocked with magecraft - or by mundane means, since if they don't come in close proximity to flesh, they can't apply their effect - or neutralized even after they hit through the expenditure of Prana. Also, she literally just exhausted herself with just one spell, so this isn't an accurate measure of Mira's average single target offensive power, but is closer to an estimate of what her most powerful direct attack would be. Like I said, she's completely panicking and just really desperately wants everything threatening her to either go away or die, so she's basically just throwing out everything she has and hoping it works. Because of that panic, though, it's unreasonable to assume that Mira won't take a parting shot at Elizabeth, since she's the only enemy that she can see and there's an unseen murderer ready to stab her in the back now that her Servant is wounded. If it does become a fight and she sees how badly wounded Saber is, though, she's fully prepared to just use a command seal to nope them both back to her mansion, registration for the war be damned.

EDIT: Like, normally I'd just remove it, but I can't see somebody as panicky as Mira who always tries to psyche herself up by telling herself she can take on any enemy just rolling over and saying "Welp, guess I'd better just let this Servant keep stabbing me." It was either that or just firing off curses all around her - which doesn't really make much sense when she can't see her enemy herself, and a Servant could much more easily dodge - or burning a Command Seal immediately, in which case she'd probably order Saber to kill them rather than fleeing because holy shit they nearly just murdered us we've gotta stop them.

Huh, hopefully, my post didn't throw a kink in anyone's plan but Archer has made an official appearance for two teams... I kept in mind the theme of trying to not kill anyone but if there is a problem then just tell me~

@VitaVitaARI'll hold off on making another Mira post for the time being, since I want to give Team Assassin a chance to decide on what they're doing before I go ahead with more stuff on her end. After all, having her just leave pre-emptively and get to neutral ground before they can react is little different than powergaming in a fight to dodge all attacks, considering the way Team Assassin works. That, and I don't want things to move along too quickly without giving Team Lancer a chance to show up and see what's going on, which means waiting for @Seirei No Hai to get a chance to respond to me again, and we seem to live in different timezones, so...

Also, Seirei, if Edward orders her to take them, I'll do a timeskip of her carrying him - whether he likes it or not :D - to where her stone leads her.

...Now the question is just who the stone ended up getting a read on? Rider and Berserker are the most likely candidates, since both of them were burning Prana like crazy. Of the two, I think Berserker's more likely, since Rider distanced himself too far too quickly. So maybe I'll just go pester him...

He could order Lancer to go ahead without him. He'd need to prepare his Mystic Code that he left at their "base" after all.

Or we could go with Lancer carrying him like a damsel on their way. XD

Whichever isn't too much of a burden for you. I'd like to hear you out on it before I post. Given that we have different timezones :3
