Appearance
Hair Color:
Varying shades of blue, typically a darker shade. Often done up in different ponytails or else kept short and out of the way.
Eye Color:
An aquamarine blue-green hue.
Physical Appearance:
Romi is a slightly pale woman with striking blue hair and yet the unique hue to her hair isn't the selling point of her appearance. That, if she were asked, would be her physique. While not overly buff and beefy, Romi nevertheless is in great physical shape and it shows, from the musculature present on her arms to the lack of body fat that shows in the toned curvature of her body. What she lacks in pure physical presence she makes up for with a fit, toned figure that looks like she can throw a decent punch. Romi looks strong without looking imposingly tall or intimidating. Despite her clear physical strength, Romi still makes efforts to look presentable and feminine, though the results are...mixed. Romi's eyes are sharp with a blue-green color - she calls them aquamarine -
with small pupils.
with small pupils.
Style:
When it comes to wardrobe Romi is hardly an expert on style. Though she wants to appear feminine at times the idea of fashion, style, and 'feminine' clothing baffles her, to the point where her typical outfits tend to be simple shirts and pants that neither accentuate nor hide her physique. When she isn't wearing long pants she'll wear shorts but despite hailing from an island containing a manufacturer that makes decent clothing, Romi pays no attention to what's in style. It's fortunate that her idea of a wardrobe is somewhat timeless, if tacky. She does, however, enjoy accessorizing, namely in the form of bracelets and earrings. Romi also stands straight with almost perfect posture, save for when she's casually communicating with people or in her fighting stance. She writes it off as bartender etiquette.
Personality
Innate Personality:
Romi isn't exactly lazy but there's a certain lack of motivation to her actions that makes her come off that way. She doesn't do much of anything with enthusiasm but despite her remarks to the contrary, when she has a task to do she'll do it. Eventually. Though good in a fight, Romi isn't someone that actively seeks physical conflict, often preferring alternate methods of problem solving though with the mindset that on the seas rare is the confrontation that ends with actual talks and deals. In a fight, Romi prefers ending things as quickly as possible and with as little effort as possible - because of her lack of motivation. There are instances where Romi gets fired up and motivated and those moments come in specific instances: when she's dealing with a Devil Fruit user, or when someone seriously threatens her or her livelihood.
While not mysterious, Romi is not forthcoming about herself to people preferring instead to let others drone on and on about themselves. This has made her into a good listener even though hearing life stories while wearing a false smile is one of her biggest annoyances. While friendly enough with most people, there are certain types that Romi just cannot stand. The first and most apparent is her hatred for those who have consumed a Devil Fruit; her reason being that in her eyes people that resort to Devil Fruits are 'cheaters' when it comes to strength. Being someone that values hard work over shortcuts, people who use outside means don't sit well with her. Romi also can't stand cowards or people who refuse to take steps to better their situation.
Casual is not something that defines Romi but given her experiences, or rather the numerous stories she's heard from various sources over the years, Romi has a simple charisma about her that makes her easy to talk to. She's not above giving advice in a motherly or sisterly sort of way. Her defining characteristic is her absolute inability to tell a good joke. Every attempt she's made to lighten the mood with humor or a joke has backfired spectacularly. In a way, that's just as good as being able to crack wise.
She's been trying to make herself more feminine but finds it incredibly difficult to carry herself in the same manner as other women she's met. It's a point of issue and concern for Romi who, despite her age, is still somewhat lost when it comes to her direction and purpose and direction in life.
Also, don't get her drunk.

Likes:
- Fruity beverages, especially with alcohol included
- Rousing musical ballads
- Freshly grown fruits
- Sashimi
- Small, cute animals. Preferably cats.
Dislikes:
- Devil Fruits and those that use them
- Meat and overly fatty foods
- Braggarts, who are just cowards of a different cloth
- Liars. No matter how small the lie might be.
- Fashion, specifically her lack of it
Skills/Talents:
Mixology: Despite not really enjoying the profession Romi does know how to mix beverages rather well.
Knowing the right amount to serve or mix is almost second nature at this point. Given the ingredients she could also homebrew since it would likely be more cost effective than stocking up on various drinks at different ports. She also knows quite a number of ways to carve a fish, though that's not related to her alcoholic skills.
Gardening: Specifically fruits. Romi has a green thumb when it comes to fruit trees and bushes with berries being her favorite.
Naval Tactics: Not every confrontation need be physical one-on-one affairs and Romi knows a fair deal about maritime tactics specifically the ones used by the Marines. More often than not her tactical plans deal with disabling ships long enough to make a retreat, provided she has capable sorts who can do things like aim and turn hard to port.

Motivations/Goals/Dream
Romi states that her goal is to earn enough Beli to open the biggest bar on the blue seas and it's a plausible enough goal given that working at dives on islands doesn't bring in a lot of money - especially when pirates start fights that wind up costing her pay.
Her true goal is far different but as far as anyone knows she just wants money to become a famous bar owner.

Reason For Joining
The captain's invitation was intriguing enough but her reason for joining this particular crew was her belief that they could help her where other crews couldn't. Other crews had a tendency to brag and bluster, but this one seemed actually capable.
History/Bio:
Romi's youth was unnoteworthy having been born on Mirrorball Island to an honest family of butchers.
Her family owned a butcher's and sold their cuts to travelers and locals alike. Romi doesn't have the fondest memories of her homeland; it was rather boring in her eyes and like many children she wanted to do something more than just cut meats for the rest of her life. As a child Romi refused to eat the meats provided by her parents as a childish method of being rebellious and defiant. She turned to a pescatarian diet of fish only much to the annoyance of her parents.
Though she didn't desire to just be another butcher and her unique dining preferences were disappointing, Romi maintained a decent relationship with her parents. Indeed her life on Mirrorball, while not idyllic, was at least calm and honest. And it was absolutely boring.
Romi wanted to do something, anything, and that something involved sailing. She didn't necessarily mean piracy as her family had always respected the Marines (often they purchased food from the business in bulk) but leaving the island and seeing other islands and culture appealed to Romi. Broadening her horizons, in other words.
Her horizons were broadened by way of joining the Marines, which she only vaguely recalls and admits to, stating that it's hardly an interesting tale and the important bit was that she is no longer affiliated with them and thus has no qualms about piracy or counting herself among a pirate's crew.

Combat Information
Name :
Rackham Style Martial Arts
Type:
Fighting Style Based
Explanation:
Rackham Style is a unique brand of martial arts developed by Romi herself (claiming she had to deal with rowdy customers) that involves a variety of striking attacks with her hands. She can incorporate kicks in the style but it's centered on her hands and arms almost exclusively. It's a purely offensive style wherein she puts all of herself into each strike with little concern for defense or parrying. Due to her lack of weaponry and having to deal with Devil Fruit users, she has started incorporating accessories to keep up; presently this consists of small-scale explosives hidden in her jewelry which give the appearance that her hands create explosions given how she uses sleight-of-hand to incorporate them with her striking style.
Combat Personality/Style:
When it comes to combat, Romi goes all in. Her goal in every fight is to end it as soon as possible with as little effort as absolutely necessary. Given her style of attack this more often than not leads to her charging in first and staying up front for the duration of an engagement. She only seeks out fights with specific targets, Devil Fruit users and specific Marines and even then only when she believes she can win. Romi is not against killing those she fights but more often than not she'll just leave them incapacitated unless that option is off the table. Romi is an all-out attacker, believing that the best defense is a pure, swift offense.
Strengths :
Romi excels at facing multiple opponents with her best possible scenario being a one on one duel. Her focus on offensive martial arts gives her the edge against opponents who rely on melee weaponry as her swift strikes can match a swung sword. She is good at closing the distance between herself and an opponent in order to give them no opening to counter attack.
Weaknesses:
Romi is a poor choice when it comes to fighting ranged combatants as any decent one will simply open fire on her as she tries to get close. Since she doesn't have actual weapons, opponents with thick armor will most likely just result in Romi breaking her own hand. Though she attacks quick like a blade, her hands are not actual blades and as such can get sliced if she attempts to use her arms to deal with a blade.
Experience:
Romi has ten years of actual combat experience but can count on both hands the number of times she's been involved in true heavy combat. She's mostly fought Marines and pirates in various states of drunkeness though she's also tried her hand against Devil Fruit users to...less success than she'd like.
Equipment:
Presently she has small explosives contained in her earrings. They aren't as strong as grenades but when combined with her attacks it creates an effective combination all the same. She only uses them when pressed or when up against someone afraid or vulnerable to fire.

Meta Information:
Character Growth Plan:
The ideal is that Romi will come to actually trust the crew instead of seeing them as nothing but tools for her own personal growth; this includes coming to terms with the Devil Fruit members of the crew. In addition the intent is for her to become more comfortable with her identity rather than thinking that she has to be like the other women she's met.
Combat Growth:
Her martial arts will improve to keep pace with opponents and her eventual target, namely in using her jewelry to enhance her physicality and being more tactical in her approach. Generally her growth will be in maturing as a fighter instead of flat power ups to strength.
Planned Story Points/Arcs:
The current plan for Romi is eventually learning why she has such a dislike for Devil Fruit users.
