It has been more than a century since the first Pirate King died, the man who ushered the first Golden Age of Piracy, and decades since the second Pirate King disappeared after ending the Great Void War and beginning the Industrial Age of Piracy. Years have passed since the third Pirate King, the beautiful and once immortal "Bloody Rebecca" who lived to a 100 was executed. She who brought about The 10 Year Pirate War who's story's mere mentioning of or pursuit of study will demand persecution by the World Government. She who caused White Monday, the darkest day in World History who caused millions of people to leave their islands, even sky and underwater, away from the Grand Line to avoid the destruction. She who's own crew left her, who surrendered herself, and was executed by the World Government. She who's passing ushered in the Modern Age of Piracy.
The story will follow a new crew of pirates lead by someone who only wants the best and brightest for their crew for revenge. This new pirate captain has no desires to be the pirate king, what they want is to kill those who have wronged the history of the world. What they want is revenge, to fight for the people who cannot fight for themselves. What they want is to right the wrongs that are in place, who's existence has caused nothing but suffering. To begin their journey of conquest, revenge, and adventure they will begin by finding people who they see will help them achieve those goals.

Overview:
Welcome to Eternal Pose, a One Piece RP which i plan on being a long running story, with a planned and clear definitive arcs, haf points, and an end. For fans of the series this will take place decades after the canon, and expect that there are certain things to be changed once i reveal them/make the OOC with the needed information. For people who are only marginally familiar or new to the story of One Piece welcome as well, you will find that there may be certain terms that you are unfamiliar with, but expect that I plan on explaining them well enough, especially the new terms. There will be enough for both those familiar with the story and those who are not that I hope I can gather your interest. At the moment all that's needed is that it is a world of adventuring.
The story, and specifically the first arc will begin in the Grand Line, the pirate City Twin Capes is located at the beginning of the Grand Line (for information about the city, which is important look at the settings). By this point in the story a small crew has already been made with relative infamy. The general plan for this arc is that it will be a trial run for both the story, the way the RP will run, and for the players. The captain has already recruited a fair bit of people using his own resources be it money or a promise of something for the future. It will begin with the crew crash-landing in the Twin Capes destroying their ship. The crew now needs to make money, get supplies, recruit some new members, and get a new ship, all of which by any means necessary. You will be in charge of how your character will move and find their own way in the plot. I will provide a plot skeleton of sorts that will be filled in by playing with a clear start, moderately guided middle, and a vague ending along the lines of "they survive and achieve or fail their goal", but how it will get there is decided in character.
Players can apply to be part of the crew already or be someone new or both even though all of us will be starting the main story just now. I made it this way so that having a character who is a fishman/mink/sky islander/hybrids etc., is not unheard of or completely off base. That being said there wont be anyone who is too powerful since everyone is still fairly new to the piracy game. There will be certain characters are needed such at the moment for balance and story reasons, and I will be providing a short list of vague character descriptions that you are make your own for an added story bonus. Please see this list at the Character Creation section.
Much in liue of the original this will be an adventure story, filled with island hopping fun, exciting and quirky combat, treasure hunting, and an overall arc about one crew's journey that will entangle itself in an overall arc about getting revenge and getting even. It will be about finding and making your dreams come true, and most importantly fighting for the people that cannot fight for themselves. It will be relatively multigenre and will explore different themes per arc. For the current arc it will be about "What it means to be a pirate, and starting or continuing a journey.

Expectations and Plans For The Future:
There is going to be an overall arc and lore mentioned that will be explored, but there will be also be a hefty bit of character arc. It will come in two flavors. One aspect of it will be their own internal arc which will be about their personal character growth, encompassing their personality and combat ability. The other aspect is about pursuing their external arc on top of their adventuring desires, which can be as simple as finding or fulfilling a dream, doing a job, going back to their home, finding someone or something, or revenge just like the captain. Both must be planned in advance and considered when making your characters. You are in charge of how your characters' story will progress in character, and how it ends which may or may not happen at the end of the story and if it does then great, but if not at least there's a nicer exit for the player character than being turned into a void NPC or death.
I plan on separating arcs with a much shorter breather arc all about character interaction and exploring the world of One Piece. They will be interaction heavy and have no designated plot, just about character exploration that will take place in the ship. This is all about improving relationships with other player characters, a way for them to set up or resolve personal interaction and conflict, and the time to set up romance. Naturally due to the nature of group RP you are encouraged to make a collab especially when character interactions are about or when we are in a breather episode.
I enjoy playing multiple characters and expect that you will or should be able to as well when needed, at least to a decent enough degree to play NPC's or arc specific playable characters. I plan separating the RP story per arc and saga, opening and closing applications as needed this will allow new people to join, or present players to make a new crew member or and temporary player character to be a main part of the current arc. This will also serve as a trial run for people who wish to apply in the middle of the story proper. It will also allow players to be the main villain if they wish to play a villain.
Expect that if you are part of the game you will be expected to shape the world and make plots with the group, and not just be a player. I only have a handful of stories already made and part of the lore built, which can be changed and added onto depending on how the story goes. You will be expected to make places of interest and NPC's as needed. I'd greatly appreciate and enjoy it if you participate in this aspect as I don't want this to just be my story, but a group effort. As GM i will make most of the needed things, but overall plots will be decided upon by the action of the players.

Needed or Interesting Characters
Needed characters must be filled out for the story to begin.
Interesting characters are just story aspects that i'd like to see, but not needed to be accepted. They're just interesting ideas I'd like to see.
Interesting character aspects can be combines as long as it's not too much.

So business mode off. Now that this is here if it gets interest at all and i get some PM's done I'll make an OOC.
EDIT1 There are and will be exceptions to the rules when it come to character creation. Feel free to ask me if youre thinking about making someone who may or may not be allowed. If you dont ask you will never know.
EDIT2 To specify the hybrid limitation the only species that im not conditionally approving to eat devil fruits are the fishmen, merfolks, minks, giants (unless theyre the smaller variety) and longlimb people since they have built in extra abilities and ive always seen devil fruits and other extra ordinary abilities as a balance to that system. Naturally we cam discuss a way around this to find a nice compromise.
EDIT3 A bit more on the tech. Weapons or devices that have been imbued with dial technology and wapometal is common use. Seeing people with cybernetic enhancements or power armor (granted nothing too sleek or advanced) isn't all that rare either. I will also entertain things and weapons imbued with devil fruits, but this one has to be discussed. Things like personal vehicles such as high powered sailboard or skateboards, but no hoverboards, are also fair game.
EDIT4 I didn't mention it prior, but the main crew will be coming from the South Blue. It's the one that had the least exposure in canon so I figured why not.
EDIT5 I don't know if this has to be said but there will be no one with a "D" initial in their name. Y'all should know what i'm talking about. Not to say that i want to limit creativity, but even I don't know what that initial means, and there's a history of characters being made with it in RP's and Fan stories and I'm not gonna deal with it for now.
EDIT6 There was a typing error in the character sheet, damn you BBCodes. They are very minor issues located in the relationships and meta information parts.
EDIT7 There is currently someone already using a Mythological DF for balancing issues all Zoan DF's will be regular. A doctor and blacksmith position has been made, as doubles are allowed, but they must be different enough from the other doctor on crew.
