The Justice League had been active for several years. Their membership included Superman, Batman, Vixen, Green Lantern (Alan Scott), and Robot Man. Most of them were already in their 40's, Batman was rumored to be in his 50's. The team took down threats such as Brainiac, the rogue General Eiling, Solomon Grundy and an army of the undead, a Thanagarian Cult, and dozens of others. Weeks ago, in a battle with the alien tyrant Despero, both Vixen and Robotman were killed in action. Robotman COULD have survived, but the three eyed behemoth crushed his head and destroyed the original brain of Cliff Steele.

One year ago...

The Justice League extended its reach and took in several new heroes to form the Justice League Unlimited. Over the course of the first several weeks the League learned about the existance of a similar group, composed of super criminals, calling themselves the Society and brought together by the devious Lex Luthor Jr. Shortly after the Society made themselves known, the Question deduced that the super criminals were after artifacts composed of a mysterious Nth metal. During a mission that saw a group going to the destroyed remains of Atlantis, Ravager was seemingly killed by an unseen attacker and left for dead. Her father, Deathstroke, would later abduct her from JLU headquarters to help her recover on his own terms. Bulleteer would also be attacked in Metropolis and taken out of action after taking trauma to his head after the enemies of the League were informed by Lobo that his helmet was composed of Nth metal. Ambush Bug was killed during an attack on the League's HQ, and the heroic Clayface was torn apart as well.

Over the course of the last year the League would continue to evolve. Superman would be defeated and killed by the monster called Doomsday. Green Lantern has retired after finding out his reformed enemy turned fiancee Thorn was pregnant with twins. And Batman has seemingly stepped down from the League as well but not before sponsoring Clutch as the new wheelman for the Justice League Unlimited.

Present day...

The League still moves forward after everything they've been through. Supergirl and Blue Beetle have stepped up to lead this new era of the team, however a crashed spaceship would change everything. Discovering the hero called Starman in the wreckage, the League was warned that white Martians have began invading the planet and one of their own has already been replaced by a Martian! Who will be revealed as the traitor? Where did Starman come from?

Rules:

1.) No back-to-back posting. Posting will be restricted to 3-4 posts per player per Episode. Larger storylines will have higher post caps as well as Character-centric Eps.

2.) PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND SET-UPS!!

3.) Make sense. If we can't make heads or tails of your posts they're likely to get skipped over.

4.) Get permission before using another player's character in your posts if it involves changing the scene or making actions. Everybody will take beatings in this game in battle however, so don't get pissed if you get punched or blasted into a wall by the bad guys! Namely me or the Co-GM controlling the badguys...

5.) Problems with the game or players should be sent directly to me or the Co-GM through PM's. I don't want a bunch of bickering in the OOC. And I don't particularly like it when some random argument costs the game players and story potential. So don't be dicks to each other, just send your concerns to us.

6.) Abandoned characters will be used as NPC's or killed off within the context of the story.

7.) “I was waiting for [insert player/character] to make a move” is not how this game is played.

8.) There is no rule #8. (I actually took this non-rule from an old Lord Wraith RP LOL)

9.) My word is law.

10.) Obey the law.

11.) Episodes will stagger two at a time. Today Ep. 1 & 2 will begin. Tomorrow Ep. 3 & 4 begin. Just to make things easier on the GM's controlling the mentors and setting the stage for everyone.

12.) In the event that I'm offline for any period of time, the Co-GM @Sir Lurksalot will take control and HIS/HER word will then be law.

Episode 1 - REBIRTH

Metropolis... 6:30 pm

The crowd of heroes was an amazing ensemble in front of the Metro Tower near the giant globe. Citizens of Metropolis stood behind fence lines as the new members who had been joining the Justice League under the Unlimited Initiative the last week were officially made League members. The ceremony was short and Batman remained in the Tower. As the new members filed into the large structure Batman began pulling people to the side for a mission in St. Roch, Louisiana. First he grabbed the faceless man in the blue trench coat, the Question.

"I need you to come to St. Roch with me, Q. This mission requires a little detective work and an astute observer like yourself." Batman commented as Green Lantern approached him.

"Everything okay, Bats?" Alan asked as Batman pulled Lizard to the side as well.

"A humanoid lion-man has abducted an archaeologist in Louisiana. I'm putting a team together..." he began saying before reaching out and tapping Ravager to join him, "You... I need you too..." he said mid-convo before jumping back in, "I can handle it Lantern." Batman continued tapping the Warden as well to approach his group as Alan walked off...

"Everyone to the hangar, we're taking a jump-ship south." Batman said to the point. Since there weren't as many big cities in the south there were less teleporting stations the League could use. They couldn't just leave them everywhere after all.

St. Roch, Louisiana: Twenty-six minutes later...

"I'm dropping you off near the Wayne Foundation building in downtown. The Whiskey St. partying usually doesn't come out until Fridays and the weekends, but the city is having a festival or something. Everybody stay sharp. I'm gonna find a place for the ship and I'll see you in the field. We're looking for an eight foot tall humanoid lion who's taken an archaeologist from the Stonechat Museum hostage. The hostage is Daniel Evans, of African decent, thick accent, in his sixties, he was abducted six hours ago. No clues yet as to why. We're coming up on the drop..." Batman instructed as the sun began to set in the evening hours.

Episode 2 - Mad World

Back at HQ...

Alan walked away from Batman and his growing group of heroes and wondered if the caped crusader cared for him at all as an ally. He constantly stepped on Alan's toes anytime the Lantern tried foiling an enemy of Batman's after night fall in Gotham. The Green Lantern made his way to the monitor room and global emergency scanners and was a bit surprised that another metahuman criminal was causing chaos in Midway City, Michigan. Somebody going by the name Brainwave was basically hovering over the city and watching it tear itself apart. Alan lit up with green energy and flew through the HQ filled with new heroes ready to prove themselves.

"I need to find some alien or magical heroes who may be able to get through this Brainwave guy's telepathic attacks..." he thought before noticing one of the odder looking recruits.

"Toon Girl... come with me. We've got a mission..." GL stated constructing a cartoon-ish sofa for the young hero to sit in as Alan lifted her into the air looking for more heroes. "There's another one who might prove useful." he continued before landing next to Capt. Marvel.

"There's a situation in Midway City. I could use the wisdom of Solomon..." Green Lantern said.

The man called Judgement, who possessed both an angelic and demonic form, was striking up a conversation with Gypsy when the veteran League member showed up and cut their conversation short.

"You two, come with me... we have to stop a guy from tearing a city apart with it's own people..." Alan stated before making way to the teleporter room. "The teleporters can get us as into the city in Robotman's old HQ downtown. I'll try and get the crowd of crazy citizens out of the way... you four see if you can't shut this telepath down."

Little did the group know that Brainwave was ALSO a telekinetic. And the sun going down won't do the heroes any favors. What happens when a city loses power AND it's mind?

E P I S O D E I: R E B I R T H

M E T R O P O L I S:

July 17th, 2017 - 18:30 | Justice League Headquarters - Metro Tower

Leaning under the terrace of the Metro Tower, Rose Wilson watched as a crowd of new heroes gathered for the League's 'orientation'. She still had no idea how she, the daughter of Deathstroke the Terminator had managed to land an invitation to this party but perhaps Nightwing had vouched for her.

"He always did see the 'good' in me." Rose muttered to herself, taking a drag from the cigarette held daintly between her two fingers. While smoking may not have been the best habit, Rose had always been told if she was going to do it, she was going to do it right. And thus, Rose had been training to smoke like a lady. Far easier to get information out of a target in a low cut dress with your chest stuck out while you took a drag than it was hunched over with a hand on one knee.

Photographers from the Daily Planet, National Inquirer and hell even the Gotham Gazette had gathered outside of Metro Tower, taking the every opportunity they got to fill their gossip columns with the latest who's who and who's using their powers to get it on. The Gazette in particular was rather obsessed with the sex lives of superheroes. One might even say the columnist had a fetish for it.

Noticing Batman moving through the crowd, Rose studied his movement. While the Bat was hardly known for lollygagging, he was clearly more determined than usual. Perhaps a mission had come up, Rose could use just about any excuse to get away from the press and the whole ceremony aspect. She didn't care for this side of heroics and doubted that it would ever grow on her.

Extinguishing the cigarette against the wall behind her, Rose crushed the remnants of the butt beneath her hell before moving into the crowd of other costumed fighters. Watching as Batman pulled aside the Question, Rose moved to put herself in Batman's way only for him to tap her on the shoulder.

"You... I need you too..." His words were perhaps the sweetest melody to Rose's ears as she nodded solemnly, trying not to show her eagerness.

"Everyone to the hangar, we're taking a jump-ship south." Batman said getting straight to the point.

Rose was already in her costume, having not wanted to reveal her identity like most of the others here. How Superman had gone maskless for the better part of the last century and not been outed was beyond her ability to reason. Returning to the tower's exterior, Rose quickly visited her weapon's locker. Arming herself with her pistols and swords, she ensured she brought her different ammunition types -- just in case.

Making her way to the hanger, Rose noticed the other recruits that Batman had chosen for this particular mission. The first that caught her eye was the girl with scales.

Scales? Really Rose, nevermind the fuckin' tail.

She had to question Batman's tactical assement on this one. However, perhaps the Lizard-Girl was some sort of bait for the Lion-Man. Or perhaps she was meant to be some sort of diplomatic agent since the two furries would have a lot in common.

Rose rolled her eyes, an exasperated 'huff' nearly making itself known as she moved onto the next member of the squad. Her brain was immediately taken back to highschool when the worst part in the school play was being a tree. Somehow, this guy had gotten that part for life. It would likely be in the team's best interest to keep the kid away from fire. Perhaps away from combat in general, wood wasn't exactly known for being the best line of defense.

Turning to the last member of the team, Rose held onto the thinnest shred of hope that they'd be someone of use. Instead, she found herself staring into a faceless man dressed like Don Draper. It was quickly becoming apparent that she was this team's first line of defense.

With a reluctant sigh, Rose climbed onboard the jump-ship. Buckling herself in, she positioned her body to watch out the front while Batman expertly piloted the ship into the sky.

Don't underestimate them.

The male voice in her head made Rose cringe as she tried to get comfortable on the hard seat.

Shut up.

S T . R O C H :

July 17th, 2017 - 19:28 | Above the Wayne Foundation Building - Louisiana Air Space

The jump ship made admittedly good time. Travelling from Metropolis to St. Roch in less than half the time any commercial plane could have made it. Rose had only seen comparable times from some of the private jets her father had chartered over the years. Realizing they were getting close to their drop site, Rose decided it would be best to try and get everyone talking, perhaps work out some of their jitters before the group was ejected from the plan and plummeting towards the ground.

"So..." Rose said, breaking the dull roar of the jump ship's stealth engines. "Q? Can I call you Q?" She asked looking directly towards the Question. "Why do you dress like you're out of the forties? I get that your whole schtick is being a detective but surely the Dick Tracy look could be updated? Maybe some leather?" She jested, put one leg up on her chair as she rested her chin on its knee.

"We're coming up to the drop." Batman's voice could be heard loud and clear as Rose stood up among her teamates and began to fasten her parachute. Looking around, the Lizard caught her eye. Reaching out a hand, Rose tried her most sincere voice as she offered her assistance.

"Ever put on a parachute before? It's not the easiest thing the first time, I can give you a hand if you'd like."

EPISODE 1

Metropolis, 6:30

While (almost) everyone else was standing tall and proud with unmasked faces, a lone man was slouching with his hands in a blue trench coat, his visage a blank slate. Vic Sage, known to the hero world as The Question, was scanning the crowd and his future teammates whilst hiding a bored expression behind his Pseudoderm mask. 'As I suspected. Large crowd,' he thinks to himself, 'teammates mostly normal affair. Spandex, aliens, the like. Of course the unconventionals. Must keep eye on them.'

For a moment Question thought about why he was here and how. He was just a street level vigilante, stopping thefts and assaults with the occasional breaking into City Hall to uncover the mayor's weekly scandal. But for an entire year of doing that, he always felt like he was meant to do more. Stop supervillains, expose the top 1% of the top 1%, and the like. So of course, upon hearing of the Justice League's mass recruitment, he pounced on it. Perhaps he was the only person who went to the League instead of being approached? Perhaps he wasn't? Who knows? Good question.

Finally, it was time to stop presenting themselves to the public at large and head into the Metro Tower. Question breathed a sigh of relief, 'good. Need to set up in room. Make personal additions, such as bulletin boards and monitoring stat-' "Hurm?" Question's train of thought came to a screeching halt as Batman grabbed him by the coat, explaining that the League had a mission and Question was coming along. "Was hoping to unwind. But mission more important. Will come." He said, before falling silent and following the Caped Crusader as he grabbed more of the League for the mission.

As they made their way into the jump ship, Question silently looked his teammates over. Along with himself, joining the Batman would be a man who appeared to be part plant, a reptilian woman, and a white-haired ('Perhaps platinum blonde?' Question thinks offhandedly) woman. He entered the jump ship along with his teammates, sitting and silently scanning everything over as the ship made its way to St. Roch.

St. Roch, 7:28

Question learned something new today: he does not like flying.

The entire flight to St. Roch was spent looking cool and collected on the outside, whilst on the inside he was using all of his willpower not to shake in terror or scream. 'Never flying again... Never flying again... Never flying again... Will probably have to fly again.' He mentally repeated this mantra, which almost distracted him from Ravager's question directed to him. 'Wondering about costume? Is rather show-y, in different way from bright spandex.'

He turned to face her, swallowing slightly before answering in a calm voice that betrayed his earlier terror: "Heroes need iconic costumes. Wear this most often, but if needed then will wear street clothing. Once used leather jacket and jeans when stopping mugging in broad daylight." Moments later, Batman alerted the group that they'd be approaching the drop point, and Question stood along with Ravager to put on his parachute, noticing her extending an offer of assistance to Lizard.

Question turned to the Warden, eyeing the plant growth on his back. "Will covering vegetation bother it? If so, will perhaps need to find new way to wear parachute." He said in a deadpan tone which betrayed his genuine curiosity.

Toon Girl

Being a part of the Justice League was so much fun! No boring office work, you could do basically whatever you wanted, free good food, AND all you had to do was hug a few villains and make them laugh! Or well, put them behind bars, but hey! At least they had some fun before they went there! If they laughed anyway, most just grunted and groaned.

Today wasn't much different from any other day. Light, or Toon Girl as she was called due to her hero name and whatnot, was having fun watching some television in the HQ rec room when she was approached by one of the senior league members, Green Lantern. "Hiya Greenie, whats up?" He told her about a mission and conjured a ride for her. She laughed a bit and hopped on as they went to gather others. "Hehe. I could've walked ya know." She said, looking at GL over the side of the couch playfully.

He then gathered Captain Marvel, Judgement, and Gypsy, heroes Toon Girl knew but not all that well, and told them all about some villain causing havoc in Midway City. Some telepath that was causing people to go crazy or whatnot. She wasn't too happy to hear about this task, after all, that was lots of people acting weird out of their control! Boy was he going to get the hug of his life, especially if he messed with her or her friends...

Once they were at the city proper, she asked. "So... while GL deals with the civvies so they don't hurt themselves... How are we going to find this telepath guy? Just follow the screams or what?" Much like she said, there were various sounds, mostly screaming in one shape or another, as the people outside of the building ran around doing all sorts of nutty stuff.

(Collab with @Lord Wraith )

Jessica Jester looked around the place in question. Awed at the appearance of the thing, currently dressed in some shorts and a hoodie. So, this was going to be her 'home' from now on - ever since THE Batman had pumped into her and thought her of being somebody called 'Killer Croc' - since he threw some strange metal objects at her, that didn't do much but make her feel - like some clown at a Circus. Since they didn't hurt her much.

He fixed his mistake later on, when it was revealed Jessica wasn't a criminal nor threat to anyone. Just a diving girl searching for stuff - he instead of leaving, offered her something else entirely. To be a hero, due to her 'gifts' - she didn't think of herself as a hero, until he counted out all that she could do. Like he had read it from some book.

Soon enough Lizard - as was her new alias, entered the building alongside the other heroes. Before she yelped, when somebody pulled her by her tail to somewhere...or next to someone. As namely turned around to see the Batman, whom had pulled her to the side.

"Yo? How can I help?"

"A humanoid lion-man has abducted an archaeologist in Louisiana. I'm putting a team together..." Batman said to Green Lantern and the Lizard before reaching out and tapping Ravager to join them as well.

"You... I need you too..." Batman said slightly distracted as he turned back to Green Lantern to finish his prior conversation.

"Okay? Think it good idea? Might be mistaken for one animal," chuckled Lizard, not minding her appearance at all.

"The League can provide you with a holographic disguise if necessary, however this mission will be kept subtle. We can't have the target getting word we're on his tail." The pun was not lost on the Dark Knight. "As such, I'll be counting on you and the rest of the team to stay out of site and remain incognito when gathering intel." Batman replied as he turned back to face Jessica.

"Well I've ye say so. Not sure how can I be of use, maybe except wrestle this hairy flea-ball back into his cage or som'thing," replied Jessica - namely she didn't know the location much. But expected to get her information handed to her, when they arrived at their location.

Jessica on the way to their destination, happily looked and watched out of the flying contraption. She had never been above the skies at that, or even taken a plane in the first place. It was so exciting that she could barely remain in her seat.

That was until, the Batman - spoke that they were arriving at their location. She then noticed how the others were putting on those strange backpack things. She tried to understand how her own worked - but was failing miserably. Luckily one of her own team, was willing to offer her a hand.

"Mhmm. Sure thing. Help a gal out?" asked Jessica from their gun-toting fan-girl. "Rose, yeh? Name Jessica. Pleasu' to meet ya."

"Likewise." Rose stated immediately getting to work as she pulled the straps tight across Lizard's chest before reaching between her legs, carefully minding the tail.

"Normally I'd buy you dinner first." Rose muttered as she finished doing up the straps, giving the Lizard one finally look over before nodding her approval. "You're all fastened in." She stated taking a hold of a release pull. "This is what you want to hang on to, when you're within the zone, pull this and your parachute will release." She added.

"Any questions?"

"Ehhh....yeah? How does one fly in this thing? I mea'n. I've seen how many drunk yokels, get dropped out of a plane. Bu' that was mostly on TV. How does one steer and not hit the sign of s'mthing?" replied Jessica in reply - chuckling at Rose' dinner offer. "Mhm? I like seafoo'd dear. Alread' checkin'g out the catch?"

"When the parachute releases, take a hold of the straps on either side." Rose began a wry smile crossing her face, lifting her arms to demonstrate. "When you do, hold the parachute steady for a slow descent, or lean the direction you want to go. So long as you don't deploy too early, you won't have a problem, these things are pretty much made to save lives so even an unconcious body can float towards the ground safely." Rose stated matter of factly. "And don't even worry about deploying too late, your parachute has a failsafe that will deploy after you've fallen a thousand feet in order to prevent terminal velocity."

She turned to head towards the door before pausing to look back at Lizard.

"And yes, we're higher up than a thousand feet so you don't have to worry about the failsafe activating when you're already a stain on the ground."

"Hehehe...." chuckled Lizard, as she soon looked outside and saw the water below them. "I'm likely going to splash into the water. Mos' likely in my case. Sorry, not the smartest tool 'n the shed. Not many schools wanted 'm around....so mostly am homeschooled."

"Mkay. Hol'd it steady. An' lean where you like to go...." she hummed, as they soon were arriving at their destination. "So hun? We jumpin' now or what?"

"You could say I'm homeschool as well." Rose said with a small dry chuckle.

Yeah, homeschooled by the World's Deadliest Assassin.

"I think we need to figure out what to do for the thorn bush before we jump." Rose added looking towards Question and the Warden.

"Then do it quickly. We'll be above the drop zone in a minute." Came the Bat's reply from the cockpit.

"Put the parachute on backwards." Rose said thinking quickly as she motioned for the Lizard to walk with her. "Here, help me put this one. How thick is that skin of yours?" She asked motioning for Lizard to pull the straps across the Warden's back.

Lizard followed after Rose - getting a nice view of the other' back. She shook her head in reply to that. 'Bad mind, bad. No dirty thoughts'. she hummed in reply, helping to pull the straps around the Warden. Minding to not snap them, since she could feel how easy it was for her - but also how much strain those straps were under.

"Mkay. That enoug' gal?" asked Lizard, as she checked out the appearance, and followed Rose' instruction - so their other friend wouldn't go 'splat' like Rose warned.

"Should be good." Rose said as she stood up from between the Warden's legs having pulled the straps around his thighs. "Sorry for the invasion of space but it's time to go." She said as Batman pressed a button to open the side of the jump ship.

"You four are jumping here. I've got other business to attend to but I will keep in touch. I expect updates every hour, sooner if there's a major development. Question, you'll be taking point, I need you to figure out what the target wants with the victim and naturally where they've gone. The rest of you, follow Question's lead. No arguments." Batman said as Rose gave a slightly sarcastic salute. In her opinion it should have been her on point but that was a conversation for another time.

"Alright, you three go first. I have a feeling I have a lot more experience with this than you lot do." She ordered.

"You got it....guess the newbie first 'eh?" chuckled Lizard, slightly nervously - as she looked out the door. Then looked back at Rose - before giving the Mercenary' daughter a quick hug. "Han'g out later, once this don' eh. See ya later cutie-pie..."

With that Lizard was out of the plane, counting her distances - then opening her chute a quarter too late and as expected went into a spin then went splat onto the building below.

"Amm 'kay..blasted, bed-sheet...." she grumbled, none much affected by her high-speed landing onto concrete - over her comm-piece.

As the other two jumped, Rose followed suit, diving into the air as she blasted past the Warden and Question. The rush of adrenaline from falling was a welcome thrill to the boredom that had plagued the rest of the day. Reaching the point where it was either her or the failsafe that was going to go, Rose rolled into a ball, righting herself up again before pulling the ripcord and steering her parachute to the skyline as she waited for the others.

"Alright Q, what's the plan?" She asked looking at the buildings below as she hid some of her amusement at Lizard's unfortunate tumble. Lizard taking the time to slowly pick herself up after her failed tumble.

Metropolis, Metro Tower, Justice League Headquarters, 6:30 p.m.

"There's a situation in Midway City. I could use the Wisdom of Solomon." said the Green Lantern.

Najee paused. Already there was chaos brewing, and--as with most things in his life--not enough time to relax and enjoy the world. Though, come to think of it, the world was always in the belly of some kind of chaos from some villain who had either one or a multitude of inferiority complexes with an even greater range in severity. Of the short amount of time Najee had spent at the Tower, he didn't spend enough of it getting to know the people who he would be working with, a fault on his end for sure. He was by no means a recluse, nor did he harbor disdain for his fellow heroes, so even he was unsure as to why he hadn't bothered to interact with them much. A mission was the finest way to bond with comrades. Duress brought inhibitions and personalities out of people, it gave depth to character.

This depth is what Najee desired. At 24, he had spent his fleeting youth bouncing from odd job to odd job before he settled, unceremoniously, as a taxi cab driver. It was a life filled with lows, mostly, kin to chauferring--just without the need to call everyone 'sir' or 'ma'am', tip your hat, and open car doors when society's elite expected you to. For that, at least, Najee was grateful. Of any trait which makes someone 'great', Najee possessed one--compassion. It was compassion that made the Wizard choose him as his champion, it was (so Najee thought) compassion which made the League induct him into its ranks. Compassion never stopped one from dying; it didn't equip one with guts needed to save an entire city, either.

Inadequacy was a symptom of the human side of Najee, a part of him that assured he always knew he was nothing more than a human. Captain Marvel was an entity entirely his own. Marvel knew he was powerful, he knew he was nigh a 'god', and in him the meek Najee found confidence, purpose, order. There was one problem: his transformations were spare, for he had adjusted to life as a normal man and was comfortable enough walking among fellow mortals. But now, much was required of him and he was among others whose gifts were extraordinary. An alien, a sentient cartoon, a man with a magic ring, a magician, all incredible in the truest sense. Still, something about the awe was diminished. Yes, these beings were all fantastic--unbelievable, even--but there was a touch of weakness in them all.

One could look at the whole group and tell that none of them were ready for what was to come. It was an odd comfort, a selfish one, perhaps; for all their potential greatness, few had realized it. They were still flawed, still human. Maybe this was why Najee was afraid of giving himself over to the Wizard's gift; it would, in Najee's mind, strip him of his essence as a human being. Great mythologies of past civilizations recounted the same story--a person is endowed with miraculous ability, is corrupted by it, and soon becomes the thing he was supposed to destroy. Najee also knew, in part, that fear of the role one is given makes him equally accountable for any ill he could have stopped if he assumed his role as he should. For all these dilemmas, one thing was apparent: today he would be forced into his role, regardless of what he willed.

Najee's throat went dry, his lips lost moisture, nerve set in. Body and mind often betray one another, and Najee's legs broke from his mind's will and carried him to the teleporters. He wouldn't have a chance to transform until the citizens were clear of the mayhem. Until then, he figured he would blend in as best he could. Najee's mind was filled with doubt, and he did his best to arrest it. Duty called him, and was forcing him to answer.

Midway City, Robotman's Downtown HQ.

Once they were in the city, namely Robotman's HQ, he heard Toon Girl chime,

"So... while GL deals with the civvies so they don't hurt themselves... How are we going to find this telepath guy? Just follow the screams or what?"

"Good question. Uh... well." He hadn't done this in a while, but it was the only way he could think to help. Hopefully the Wizard hadn't turned his back on Carter.

"You might want to stand back." Najee iterated to all those present.

"SHAZAM!"

A bolt of lightning rippled from the heavens, it did not break through the roof, however--as it was no regular lightning bolt. It was the power of Shazam! Once struck, the gangly Najee was replaced by a large, muscled being clad in all black. When he spoke again, his even his voice had deepened and his words echoed with unbridled power.

"We should check outside. Even in disarray one can find answers; and whoever is doing this probably knows we are here and expects our arrival." Obvious? Maybe. Sometimes wisdom--whether it be from Solomon or not--was found in doing the obvious.

"Also, hello. My name is Najee Carter, some call me "Captain" Marvel; I am no captain. It is a pleasure to meet you all."

E P I S O D E 3: T R A I N I N G D A Y

The older man walked into Metro Tower, looking around at the recent renovations as he did. While the distance was reasonable, Metropolis always felt like a far cry from Gotham. Smog hung over Gotham nearly permanently making even its sunniest days pale in comparison to the glistening towers of Metropolis. Where Gotham was trapped in a past of stone and gargoyles, Metropolis looked forward with post modern architecture and new age materials. It was a stark contrast that it almost made Ted Grant feel uncomfortable. It was odd enough to be outside of his gym, let alone in the newest headquarters of the Justice League. Ted had barely believed his ears when Batman had called him, asking the retired Justice Society member to catch the next flight to Metropolis. Apparently the League had grown so desperate to increase its numbers they had started recruiting on potential alone instead of merit.

"Grant." The single syllable word rang out across the hallway as the steely voice called to him. Turning to see the pointed cowl and familiar dark cape wrapped around a tall silhouette.

"Bats." Grant replied with a sarcastic salute as he shouldered the duffle bag in his hand. "All this new talent and you had to come find one of the oldest heroes alive. You know my weekly meeting with Heywood is today, he'll be beside himself if I miss it."

"Henry Heywood has remembered a single one of your visits since the day you were forced to admit him to Arkham." Batman replied. "As much as I appreciate your efforts in Gotham, we have decided it would be more valuable here."

"And if I refuse?" Grant asked as Batman paused.

"You won't."

"Can't out bluff you." Ted said with a chuckle. "So what am I looking at?" He asked as Batman's cape opened, a gloved hand extending two dossiers towards Ted.

"For a minute I thought you were going to hand me a tablet." The Wildcat said with a sigh of relief.

"I knew you wouldn't read it." Batman replied, the faintest trace of a smile on his face.

"The Rookie and... the Dark Messiah?" Ted stated, his tone was incredulous at the latter name. "We letting these kids name themselves now?"

"Unfortunately." Batman replied.

"Well at least one fits. But I ain't calling anyone Messiah, let alone some kid who can't throw a punch." Ted stated as Batman nodded his approval. Opening a door into a training facility, the Bat gestured for Ted to go first as the other Gothamite obliged. Inside the room were the two recruits, awaiting the arrival of their mentor. Looking down at the dossiers in his hand, Ted matched the faces of Mikael and Duncan to their respective files as he stretched out a muscled hand to shake Duncan's hand.

"The Rookie eh? I appreciate the humility." He said before turning to Mikael. "And then there's you, the Shadow Princess." Ted said, giving Mikael's hand a tighter squeeze than necessary.

"I'll leave you to it then Grant." Batman said as Grant nodded.

"I'll see you around Bats." Turning back to his students, Grant put down his duffel bag and rolled up his sleeves, pointing to the center of the room he motioned to the two younger men to move. "Alright you two, let's see what I'm working with here, why don't you two go a round or two and then I'll step in."

E P I S O D E 4:

Metropolis, Clark Kent's Apartment
3:30 PM EST

Superman is currently removing his glasses and such to take his exit from home when Lois catches him. He isn't as fast taking off slacks as he was twenty years ago when he introduced his Clark Kent identity to the world. Superman was just Superman living alone in his fortress in the arctic for decades only leaving when there was something threatening the Earth on a global scale. The Cuban Missile Crisis could have been a lot worse if not for the efforts of the alien hero. 'Clark' met Lois at his first job at the Daily Planet in '96. The two were married by '98.

"I'll try and be back home before she gets here..." Clark said nearly finished.

"It's fine, I'm picking her up from the Greyhound station after five. She had a layover in St. Louis." Lois replied.

"I don't understand why she didn't just fly. She doesn't have to be ashamed of her powers..." Clark began saying before finishing up.

"She likes being normal. Up until a few days ago the Justice League only had a few members, now you guys are pushing twenty. She shouldn't feel like she has to put on a costume and go out there." Lois continued picking up her husband's clothes as he headed for the window.

"I didn't say she had to be a superhero, dear. I just wanted to see her sooner because I knew something would come up. It always does. Like I said, I'll try and make this quick." Superman said with a kiss on her forehead.

"Anything worth writing about? Perry just messaged me and asked about a falling star..." Lois asked still with clothes in hand.

"If it is, Clark Kent's gonna get the headline. Love you..." and off he went.

Blue Valley, Nebraska
1: 32 PM MST

Superman had hit the scene a couple minutes later than the other heroes. His team consisted of heroes who could all fly so teleporting into a town three cities over still got them there in no time. Not Superman time, but still long enough for the pale skinned alien biker to give them a few solid hits. They were currently in some woods, where what appeared to be an alien sky cycle laid in a crater smoking. Crashed. Polarity Man had been knocked into the neighboring town of Neligh. Bulleteer was thrown head first into the ground below him and hadn't made his way out. Mr. Clutch was engaging the enemy from the air with his weapons systems and Solara attacked the pale alien badass head on until Superman hit the scene. The grungy alien threw Solara at Mr. Clutch and damaged the undercarriage of his vehicle.

"I can tell by the S you're just another Kryptonian. Hope you're tougher than your cousin!" the alien screamed punching Superman in the jaw and sending him through several trees.

Superman stood to his feet. The alien was strong... but he wasn't fast. Superman flew towards him and asked:

"Who are you, and what are you doing in this space sector? I thought Czarnians were extinct?" Superman asked now prepared for an attack from the enemy.

"Name's Lobo, and funny this is I was thinking the same thing about Kryptonians and now I've beat on two in a day..." and then Lobo attacked with a move that nobody to this point had ever tried on Superman. He's just too powerful so why bother? He could take a nuke in the face and walk away, but nobody as physically powerful as the Kryptonian had ever attempted... a nutshot.

"Hope ya don't need those anymore!" Lobo screamed with a boot to the balls of the hero that sent him flying and in true pain physically for the first time in a long time.

Bulleteer finally got his upper body out of the soil and vegetation on the ground and Polarity Man had returned from the town of Neligh with a dent in his mech suit towards the left shoulder.

"On three?" Bulleteer asked the mech suit at his right.

"Count it down, bullet man." responded Lieutenant Trainor using the suit's voice encoder.

"THREE!" screamed the bullet headed hero flying at the alien at his top speed of 2500 feet per second sending him back into a hillside.

On the day of the ceremony where the League publicly added all the heroes to the roster she refused to participate. She had much better things to do. She was on the computer the Bat character had set her up with. She turned it on, she had the data saved to the desktop so that it was easily found, but it wasn't there. She tried searching for the data but it was gone. She started cursing in Kyrptonian. She unleashed her heat vision on the stupid thing. She started a fire of course. Cursing in Kyrptonian again. She used her ice breath to put out the fire. That Bat character barely said anything, Kal read her the riot act. She pretended to listen.

Sometime the next day in some place called Nebarska or Neborksa, whatever it was called didn't matter to her. When she got there was a member of a barbarian race worse than these humans. She fought it until he kicked Superman in the balls. She laughed her ass off while the phallic guy and palority something worked on their joint attack. She didn't wait for them to finish teaming up. She flew at the alien barbarian at full speed. She made it appear she was going to attack high, at the last second she went below the belt and put the full force of her attack into a single punch to alien barbarian's balls. Lobo sank to his knees clutching his balls.

Cameras.
Reporters.
Questions.
People… everywhere.
The Warden was definitely aware that he’d be dealing with some amount of crowds, but he had elected to mostly ignore that fact in the hope that it wouldn’t be as bad as he had feared. Naturally, it turned out even worse. Deep breaths...deep breaths he thinks as he focuses, and is ready to face the crowds...

And naturally, failed miserably at answering even the easiest of questions from the reporters. Fortunately he avoided much stammering, but between the ridiculous amount of background noise, their confusing questions (like he remembers what he did on the 4th of December last year – he didn’t even have his phone calendar then!), and his trouble forming his ideas into words, he ended up not saying much at all. Hey, look on the bright side… maybe they’ll paint me as the “stoic” hero… that’s what local guys seem to do… when they aren’t making fun ---

He feels a tap, and looks over and around for a moment before noticing the dark cape swooping by. Stuttering, stammering, he began to raise his hand and ask him what it meant, before noticing three others following the Batman. He shrugged and decided to follow I suppose he’ll tell me to turn back if nothing else…
The Smoker… cigarettes are so bad for you…
The Lizard… seemed a little scatterbrained.
Fancy Man… wannabe Batman.

Hopefully this goes well...hopefully one of them knows more about this lion man than I do

____________________________

St.Roch:

The Warden sat and watched as Rose attempted to make conversation with Fancy Man. Not much for conversation either... wait... parachute?

The conversation proceeds further, and then, fortunately, the Question addresses him directly: "Will covering vegetation bother it? If so, will perhaps need to find new way to wear parachute."

"Uh, well bother? Yes, but everything makes me itchy. Bigger issue is that I am covered in brambles. Parachutes generally do not work with holes in them, correct?" he asks, not entirely sarcastically. Before Q can respond though, Rose and Lizard are already over him, putting the parachute on his front. He protests for a moment before he notices that it is indeed holding up... For now, at least.

"Pull here, right?" he asks of really anyone who's listening, and he gets a slight nod from Question as Rose and Lizard jump. I guess me next, he thinks as he walks up to the edge, steps back, forward, back... Swallows...

And jumps.

The air is exhilarating but terrifying, and he realizes just as he jumps out that he has no idea when to pull the damned thing. ohshitohshitohshitohshito- the failsafe deploys, flipping The Warden upside down thanks to the orientation of the parachute. he hears a faint ripping, but also looks back and sees the roof approaching... a little fast... and is able to eyeball it to catch a spire with one of his vines to break the fall.

"Oof."

Meanwhile, a few yards away, Question landed on the ground with a lot more grace than The Warden. He cast a glance at his teammate, then turned to the others. "As Batman said, I am on point for mission. Follow orders and will capture the lion-man." As he took his parachute off, he turned to Lizard and Rose. "Will need to get to museum first. Must find lion-man and hostage. Warden, Ravager, you will face enemy head-on. Lizard and I will find way to sneak into museum. Any questions?"

Good, less complicated... Though... "How are we getting down?" The Warden asks, currently in a pitch battle with his parachute.

This catches Question off-guard, and he pauses before clearing his throat awkwardly. "Um... Stairs?"

"Lizard and I are not exactly covert, in general. I do hope one of the staircases leads to a back exit" he says, eventually giving up the fight and just ripping the parachute off with his vines.

And just then, out of the corner of his eye, Question spots the fire escape. "... Or fire escape." He says, walking to said fire escape. "Come. Time for mission."

That works, The Warden thinks as he wordlessly follows.

Metropolis – 18:30 PM EST

"Smile and wave, Patroller. Smile and wave." said Polarity Man to his two selves as he greeted the citizens of Metropolis, though neither the lieutenant’s nor the mech suit’s facial expressions could visibly change. Being celebrated as a new hero in the ranks of the Justice League was the last thing he expected after nearly dying in a jet crash. Yet, the cheering crowd gathered around League’s headquarters and the multiple news station coverage he was streaming to his visual HUD assured him that all of this was real.

As with most people in front of a public forum, Lawrence was quite nervous as the ceremony transpired. While the likes of Superman and Green Lantern were adored by the media reporters, the obscure new recruits were met with lofty expectations and even unwarranted suspicion. After all, where were they during the last crisis? Specially “the new Batman robot” as one anchorman described the Patroller suit.

They weren’t wrong, Lawrence supposed. "If only my jet crashed earlier, huh?" he said to himself with a chuckle. After the ceremonies, Polarity Man was one of the last to enter the tower as he took the few extra moments to appreciate the crowd that gathered to cheer on the new recruits, even doing a quick fly-by above the gathered masses to entertain the children and the child-like. “Thank you and goodnight, Metropolis!” the lieutenant would say through the mech’s voice encoder before entering through the Metro Tower’s doors.

The interior of the headquarters was grand yet somehow welcoming, in spirit of the actual League itself. Before he could get acquainted with everyone else, others were already deploying on missions. Lawrence was one of the lucky few that had the night off, so he decided to familiarize himself with his designated room. Inside, he was surprised to find a diagnostic work station that was compatible with the Patroller’s hardware. "I guess Superman had some spare Kryptonian tech lying around." he said out loud as he proceeded to run maintenance checks.

Aside from random yelling from a distant room in the tower’s living quarters that he could tune out with music, Polarity Man’s night was spent in relative peace. Hopefully tomorrow would bring him a chance at proving his mettle.

The Following Day - Nebraska Airspace – 13:25 PM MST

While it was on short notice, a mission to Nebraska didn’t sound that bad. In fact, the flight time from Metropolis was just enough for him to google blog posts and fan sites about the Justice League so that he could see what the world wide web thought of him and the others. Unfortunately, aside from a few pages he wishes he could erase from his mind (and will later erase from the Patroller’s memory banks), Polarity Man couldn’t find anything mentioning him before getting sucker punched by the alien they were sent to confront.

Neligh, Nebraska – 13:30 PM MST

Just moments before impact, the lieutenant had veered away from the residential area he was on course to crash in and instead ended up just outside a flour mill, where a crowd soon formed around him. "Argh. Guess we can chalk up crash survival as one of my fortes… Patroller, damage report." A diagram of the suit soon appeared on his HUD, with the left shoulder highlighted in yellow. He assumed this meant he was still ready to go since no other error messages popped up, so the lieutenant primed the engines back on immediately after.

However, gasps could be heard and worried looks could be seen from the civilians that had gathered around him. Lowering his jets to a hum, Polarity Man got on his encoder to calm those around him. "Citizens, please stay inside your homes. The Justice League is currently operating in the area, and we would love to have your cooperation in ensuring your safety." As soon as the crowd cleared out, Polarity Man was racing his way back to the fight.

On his way back to the location he got surprise attacked, The Bulleteer had suddenly appeared next to him.

"On three?" Bulleteer asked the mech suit at his right. Without any reservations, the lieutenant nodded inside the suit.

"Count it down, bullet man." responded Lieutenant Trainor using the suit's voice encoder.

"THREE!" said the Bulleteer as he accelerated past Polarity Man.

"W-wait. What?!" Polarity Man increased his jet output to top speed but simply could not keep up with the faster and lighter hero. As he approached closer to the target, Solara had proceeded to preempt the duo and attacked the alien’s crown jewels before Bulleteer sent him down the earth below with a supersonic collision.

Following up on the improvised combination attack, the lieutenant shifted all the power from the jets to his blaster, releasing a concentrated stream of electricity aimed at their hostile space man.

Mr. Clutch

ACTIVATE INTRODUCTION MUSIC!!!

Jim had the song Shoop by Salt N Pepa blasting through his cars stereo system as he drove down the highway towards the Metro Tower where the league was gathering to have new heroes inducted into the team. He was one of these new heroes and he was excited to be a member of the Justice League. Not only would he get to do big time hero work with the big guns, he would also increase his branding exponentially. This day was going propel into the big leagues. He was going to be bigger than Minecraft and Netflix.

"Today Mr. Clutch becomes a household name bitches!" he shouted to himself as he jammed to the hip hop song and picked up speed as came within a few blocks of his destination. When he arrived at the metro tower people turned to look at his vehicle as it blared hip hop. Jim stepped out of the car with flashy sunglasses on and gave everyone a smile.

"Mr. Clutch is in the house" he declared as he joined the other heroes. He acted cool around his fellow teammates and introduced himself to them. This was sure to be an awesome experience.

It wasn't too long before Jim had his first job as a member of the Justice League and right now he was having to fly his supercar through the air to try and make a successful counterattack against the pale alien on what looked like a high tech motorcycle. The alien then tossed one of his teammates into the under part of his car and caused his anti gravity converters to be damaged and his car dropped out of the sky. Luckily Jim was able to get the converters working enough to make the car have a descent landing and was able to get it to drive on land.

It was damaged and wouldn't be at full driving capability, but the weapons were still function. His previous attempt at shooting the alien with bullets were ineffective so he would have to switch to his laser cannons to pack a more powerful punch. the headlights of the Bolt 3000 unleashed two powerful beams of energy directly at the alien and Jim hoped that this would take down the violent creature.

"This is a very expensive car you just damaged you pale face prick. Your lucky I have excellent insurance from Lex Corp!" he shouted as he blasted away.

Episode 2 – Mad World

Some members have gone on missions, big and small, but most have just been simply getting to know each other. It had only been a week since they were officially signed in to become member of the Justice League’s Unlimited Initiative and already people were ready to either tear each other’s heads off or die in battle for some. Being a part of the initiative means that they have to trust and know each other, and that’s exactly what Cynthia planned on doing.

The law of the streets applied to the laws of Metro Tower, get to know and befriend anyone whom you share a space with. The alternative being to cause anarchy and duress, which was not welcome in any group street or otherwise. Few people are as open when it comes to their identity as Cynthia, to her it made sense to befriend the one’s that looked like her, heroes that had little in the way of protecting their identity.
Cynthia had just started making headway with the young Judgement when the Green Lantern came their way. She was just about to ask him too if he ever considered modeling.

"You two, come with me... we have to stop a guy from tearing a city apart with it's own people..."

To say that her conversation was cut short was understatement. The green lantern’s words were a battle cry after all even if there was a hint of annoyance and bitterness in his tone. That’s what Cynthia thought anyway. A part of her wanted to ask the man in green to cheer up, but she was busy with concern, Midway city after all was only a few dozen miles away from her home city of Detroit.

Robotman's HQ in Downtown Midway City

The young hero was no longer Cynthia when her feet made contact with the ground beneath her, and in her stead was Gypsy, entertaining and talkative hero of Detroit. Underneath her smiling face that only her teammates could see was a growing concern for the city. Robotman’s HQ was not a sight of beauty, it was well kept sure but the life it once had was no more.

Gypsy was busy in her thoughts trying to think of the best way to find out where they should go next. It was difficult to identify with a mad man that would do such a thing to a city even if the only indication so far were the faint screams. Only the really depraved and mad would want such a thing to happen. It felt like she was coming up with an idea when the flash of lightning struck her teammate, and in it stood the Captain who is a not captain.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Captain not captain, thank you for joining us” Gypsy said with curtsy and a wink to the Captain who is not a captain.

“I agree with el Capitan. The sun will fall soon, and the moon shall rise, darkness will not be a kind friend.” Gypsy often wondered if her artifacts made her speak with such flair, or if it’s simply just her natural personality coming through. ”We should best head outside with care and concern, I have a feeling that our presence has garnered unwanted attention.”

Gypsy’s fair year of use of her powers has led her to understand that when her feelings tell her something it often yields good graces to properly listen. As it stands right now, all that she could feel that right outside the fallen mechanical hero’s HQ was danger. Stay or move,
danger will be outside.

The day she was approached about the mission she was on she was doing her Superfool demanded practicing. She was fighting some kind of crude robot things, she seen much better quality robot toys. She cursed in Kryptonian but these words weren't in use by the time Kal left Krypton. The only word Kal would have recognized was Rao assuming he wasn't completely infected by humans. Just as finished destroying them. She thought she didn't understand why Kal was pissed about destroying the defective computer but allowed her to destroy these things. "Этот глупый человек не имел никакого смысла." Just she finished bitching about Kal, one of the robot heads spoke up. "You are needed Nebrazzztska for a miszzzztsion. Bullzzzzzzzt, Pozzzzzzzzt, and Czzzzzzzt." Kara stepped on the head. The shorting out annoying or whatever it was annoying.

After the duo finished their team up attack the car guy whose car was more of a hero than the guy started shooting toy lasers. Maybe those would work on humans but not on Czarnians at least they didn't seem to do anything to him. Who knows maybe he was pretending. "Get out of the car and fight like a real man." Why on Earth Kal let that loser on the team was beyond her he was working for Kal's biggest enemy. The guy was clearly a spy whether he knew it or not didn't matter plus the only he cared about was his brand whatever that was and making money, also promoting Lexcorp crap like their products were all that special, maybe it way by human standards, if so their standards are extremely low, as evidenced by the car that car guy was riding in. It should have been made to withstand her body being thrown at it by an alien with strength considered superhuman by humans.

She flew to the Czarnian's bike. "That bike of yours is pretty cool. I think it would look better with me on it." She got on it using her own powers to make it fly.

Ep. 4

@Member 00492 @WXer @Burning Kitty

Blue Valley, Nebraska

Lobo didn't waste any time trying to stop the guys blasting him once he'd recovered from the low blow and stomach shot. The pale alien biker gripped a tree and uprooted it from the ground and sent it flying at the man in the car and the other in the mecha suit. Bulleteer took a note from Solara's playbook and gave the guy some of what he was dishing out and uprooted a tree and threw it at the alien merc. The tree knocked the Czarnian down but it wasn't enough to do any real damage. Lobo pulled a gun from a holster on his hip that looked like something out of a Halo video game and started blasting at anything that was moving.

"FRAG THIS!" he screamed. "I'm not even supposed to be here today! I got business in sector 2820 tomorrow!"

Lobo then pulled out some seemingly mystical grenade/rune and tossed it in the air that would release binding energies to get these people off of him. Sadly the only guy who was seemingly close enough for the energy to hit was Bulleteer. The hero looked as if he was being burned by a ring of energy burying his back in the ground, like a kid stuck in a tire swing made out of lava. The mystical nature of the weapon was likely to piss off the Kryptonians. As a merc it paid to know things. He approached the kid with the bullet head and blasted him in the face only to notice the protective aura the helmet projected around the young hero.

"Is that Nth metal? Maybe crashing on this backwater planet won't be a complete waste of my time..." he said leaning in closer.

"Guys!? Anybody..?" James screamed for help as the Main Man's smile looked a bit too sinister for his liking.

"This guy is gonna rip my head clean off just to get this damn helmet. Why'd I have to make a helmet... why not some wings or something..." Bulleteer thought to himself as the brute came closer.

Before Lobo could carry out his intentions, Polarity Man would imitate Bulleteer's earlier maneuver and tackle the alien menace but with a held blaster charge; an electrical burst at close range would hit the Czarnian first before the entire accelerated mass of the Patroller suit crashed on top of Lobo.

"Just rename me Crash Man, buddy." said Polarity Man before attempting to break the runic bindings with his suit's mechanical hands.

"Did anybody see which way Superman went flying after that low blow?" Bulleteer asked picking himself up after the runic energy faded.

"GET OFF ME TIN MAN!" Lobo screamed punching at the mecha suited hero a mere twenty or so meters from where Bulleteer was standing before taking his hook and chain and ripping at the hero's left arm and damaged shoulder. The pale bastich turned and caught eye of James getting to his feet and threw the hook still attached to the chain around his right forearm, "That dumb helmet of your friend there's worth enough to buy me three new bikes!" Lobo continued.

Bulleteer liked the Matrix-like ability to stop projectiles in front of him. He grabbed the chain, and with his incredible strength jerked the Czarnian off of Polarity Man.

"That bike of yours is pretty cool. I think it would look better with me on it." Solara said getting on the bike using her own powers to make it fly.

"You think you're the only chick who's ever been on the Main Man's cycle?" Lobo asked spitting up dirt picking himself up off the ground, "Honey you don't even make the first hundred blondes that've been on that bike!" he continued taunting, pressing a button on his belt to activate defense systems on the bike to make it explode with the Kryptonian was still on it.

After crashing to the ground Solara stands up and dusts herself off. "Honey those other girls may have come first but I was the only one who made it look good. Not even you made it look good. A barbarian like you can only make a prison jumpsuit look good." She then used her heat vision on his gun hand. She didn't do enough to really hurt him in the long haul but enough to make shooting difficult and painful.

Blue Valley, Nebraska – Internal clock damaged

The electrical beam fired by Polarity Man did little to keep Lobo down. “That should have fried anyth-“ Before he could finish his thought, the Czarnian somehow managed to throw a tree at him after the team’s combined attack effort. A quick canopy roll was enough to dodge the uprooted projectile while also bringing him closer to his target. During this maneuver, he somehow also managed to evade the binding grenade that Lobo lobbed towards the group. The same could not be said about the Bulleteer though.

As his teammate screamed for help, the Patroller suit had automatically prompted a visual scan. The energy signature was unique, at least to the Patroller’s database. The word UNKNOWN flashed across his screen in bright red letters with no other information going along with it. After a few seconds of hesitation, Polarity Man had decided on a course of action.

“Patroller, increase blaster and jet outputs past recommended limits.” The lieutenant could feel more of his own lifeforce get absorbed by the suit he was piloting but it was now or never to save the Bulleteer. He raced towards Lobo while two separate warnings were beeping and flashing on his HUD. One informed him that the blaster needed to be discharged soon and other told him that he was losing altitude.

Before any unforeseen consequences could occur, Polarity Man had managed to knock Lobo away from his bound teammate. "Just rename me Crash Man, buddy." the lieutenant said, with short breath and a fast beating heart. While the suit’s prior assessment had informed him that they didn’t know what exactly the binding was, Polarity Man couldn’t care less. If the suit could withstand sudden acceleration, radiation, and reckless piloting then surely an alien stun grenade was nothing.

And luckily for him, he was right. The Bulleteer was freed and immediately questioned where Superman was. Before he could answer though, Polarity Man became the victim of another opportune attack from Lobo which sent him quite a distance away. The visual feed of his HUD had a few static screens but the damage indicator was still on, with his left shoulder piece and left arm turning to orange from yellow as Lobo tried to rip those parts from him.

His teammates had his back though. Not only did they manage to get Lobo off him as well, they managed to get Polarity Man a quick breather. “Right… Patroller, default limits. Let’s get back in the sky.” The suit was still able to fly but not with the same roar in its engines. The damage he sustained had stopped being cosmetic and was starting to affect his performance. However, this wasn’t an excuse to stop fighting. Lawrence just needed a new plan of attack.

“Patroller, scan for Kryptonian energy signatures. We need to get the big man back in here.”

E P I S O D E I: R E B I R T H

L O U I S I A N A :

July 17th, 2017 - 19:28 | Wayne Foundation Building - St. Roch

"I don't think covert is going to be as much of a bitch." Rose's tone was smug as she turned back to the other three. While the Question and the Warden had been discussing tactics, Rose had been staking out the environment. An assassin was never caught with anything less than three possible escape routes and she had at least ten. Taking a drag on her freshly lit cigarette, Rose blew a small ring of smoke from the side of her mouth before continuing.

"As the Bat mentioned, there's a festival going on below. If you take a look for yourselves, they're all decked out in fuckin' elaborate costumes. At least the ones that aren't flashing their tits for beads." Rose added with a smirk. "Looks like Carnival and Mardi Gras damn depraved love child down there, but that's good for us." She continued jabbing a thumb towards Lizard and the Warden. "Means these two can blend the fuck in."

"But anyways, fire escapes." Rose stated, an eyebrow lifting behind her mask. "Eh, your call." She concluded with a shrug as she returned her repelling line to it's spot on her belt. "Suppose we can do this the fuckin' long way."

Bounding over the edge of the building, Rose took a hold of the railing of the fire escape. Using the rail to guide her body through the air, Rose flipped over the fire escape, letting go as she dropped to the next floor. Landing on her feet, she pushed off into a back flip before dropping to the next floor and continuing her pattern until she hit the ground.

Looking up, she smiled as she pulled out a new cigarette and flicked her zippo to ignite it. Taking a small puff, she blew smoke as she watched the rest of them work their way down.

"You're going to let yourselves get beat by a smoker? Hurry the fuck up y'all."

Lizard merely looked down and simply shrugged - taking ahold of the fire escape ladder and simply sliding down. Holding her hands at the sides and not minding the friction burn that she was getting.

Easily guiding herself down to the ground, and beating Rose' record by half - as she soon simply used her hands to slow her descent and was soon down on the ground. "Guess I beat ya....ehehehe. High-five..." she spoke, her hand still green but the tell-tale sign of smoke coming from her palm.

With her arms crossed as she watched Lizard's stunt, Rose mockingly rolled her eyes as she let out an exagerated, exasperated scoff before lazily lifting one arm to high-five the amphibious younger girl.

"Good show, kid."

The Warden raised an eyebrow at the unecessarily dangerous routes his allies took, following after Lizard. Using vines instead of hands to expidite the process - taking it a few stories at a time - he quickly joined the other two.

Moments later, Question dropped down from the fire escape, straightening his fedora as it almost fell off his head. He eyed Lizard and Rose, then said: "Too flashy. Be more practical." Without another word, he gestured for the others to follow him as he made his way to the street.

"Guess we're using bullets and not blades." Rose said, holding her hand up in an aside to Lizard. "Feel free to start fuckin' biting people." She added sarcastically with an exaggerated wink. "Wouldn't want to waste time with flashy claw work."

The streets of St. Roch were filled with intoxiated adults and gaudy costumes. Music blared from every direction, reggae, pop, blues and hip-hop all melded together in an odd but strangely melodic mess. The aromatic smell of food wafted by Ravager's nose and even the hardened assassin had to admit it smelled damn good. Suddenly drunken parties were in front of her and Lizard, shaking the glistening beads at the pair. With a sigh and exasperated eyeroll, Rose took a hold of the bottom of her top.

"Gotta fuckin' blend in." She muttered in Question's direction before pulling her top up and flashing the drunks. Cheers came from their mouths as they tossed the beads in Rose's direction as she deftly caught them and tossed them around her neck.

"See." She smiled dryly. "Blending in."

"What should I do? Flash my girls at 'em too? Incase you forget's - it's kinda hard for me to hide my....ehh....unique predicament," replied Lizard, namely she was saying - that due to her 'genetic defect' - she might have a harder time blending in. Having namely not much understanding on how Mardi Gras worked - speaking of that, she quickly hid her tail. By coiling it around her leg and make it as stiff as she was able.

"Naw, I got you kid." Rose said waving a hand dismissively.

"I got enough beads for the both of us." Rose stated tossing a couple rings over Lizard's neck. "That should help." She stated with an approving nod. "And don't worry about the tail." Rose added looking down.

"He has one." She said jutting her chin in the direction of a partyer dressed in an alligator costume.

"Hell, he could be your cousin." She jested, playfully elbowing Lizard.

"Oh hahaha. Really funny," replied Lizard, seeing a few others like her. Albeit, due to the amount of food in the air - she couldn't make hind or hair of their situation or where they needed to go. She then got an idea - as she got behind Rose and lifted the girl up onto her shoulders.

"Whooo! Party on!" she cheered, her grip on Rose' legs being a good one to prevent her from failling off. "See, which direction we need to go gal-pal?"

Namely she provided Ravager with an easy way of seeing, where they needed to be going. Without drawing much attention.

The hair on the back of Rose's neck stood up on end as she was touched without permission. Immediately her hands went to her swords before she quickly relaxed, allowing Lizard to hoist her onto her shoulders. The girl was improvising and Rose had to applaud that.

Through the crowd, Rose spotted the tower of the museum before muttering to Lizard.

"I see the target." Raising her voice, Rose called out to Question. "Hey Q, museum is coming up on the right. Fifty feet and closing."

Lizard nodded in reply, then thought about a way to get them easily towards their location. She then backed up and pressed her back and tail - against Q. "C'mon boy-o, let's gonga..." she laughed. "Careful with that, it's delicate."

With that solution fixed, she held onto Rose' legs and made sure Q was holding on. So he wouldn't seem out of place, in this party. As she hummed the tune, the others were doing and made their way towards the museum. Giving her hips a few shakes along the way towards their location.

Ep. 2 - Mad World

Judah was having a nice and relaxing conversation with another mystic hero he had met since joining the leage, Cynthia. He found it nice that she decided not to share a couch with him, well, he didn’t find it nice but his two invisible companions did. The trio was splayed out on the couch, Alexa resting her head in his lap and playing with some hell fire while Marco simply listened to the two talk, wincing whenever Judah would overshare. Just as the conversation was getting good however, Green Lantern called them, apparently there was an emergency that was just up his alley.

A telepath was rampaging in Midway City, making the populace go wild and GL felt like of all the members of the league, he was best suited for the job... Hell, Judah didn’t even have a super suit let alone a tailored one. Maybe he could petition a loan from a donor to the league after this was sorted out. He pushed himself off the couch and followed behind Cynthia who seemed to know the layout of the league's base of operations far better than he did, but got a bit lost after she made a turn just as Supergirl walked by. He couldn’t help but steal a glance before turning around and seeing Cynthia was... gone. Vanished it seemed.

”Third door, I was paying attention unlike SOMEBODY here... We needed this first impression to be good Judah, think of your future!” The angel said to him. The demon would normally say something snarky but she was still busy staring at Supergirl. Judah did catch a hint and ran to the teleporter room, transporting himself to Robotman’s hideout.

Looking around at the team he decided he needed to suit up as well, only issue was that he lacked a costume of any kind without using his powers so he opted for the next best thing and popped his hood up and let his powers go a little bit, one eye glowing cyan, the other an orange.

”Wow I can already feel the panic here... I’m Jud-Judgement. Did I uh, miss anything while I was running late?” Judah said, almost using his real name in place of his hero name. He looked around and saw what looked like a black Captain Marvel, What he assumed was Cynthia from before, and a strange looking girl. This was an interesting group but the panic he could feel in the air was starting to get to his head. ”C-could we step outside? I need some fresh air there’s a lot of... negative emotions in the air right now and I need some room to breathe...” He said, breathing a bit harder. Normally he needed eye contact but the sheer volume of panic in the city was hitting him hard.

Mr. Clutch

ACTIVATE ACTION THEME #1!!!

As Jim's lasers blasted at the Czarnian enemy he heard the female Kryptonian shout at him to get out of the car and fight like a man. He could think of hundreds of reasons why her words utterly moronic. 1 he was not godlike like the blondy and 2 his foe would rip him to pieces. His teammate should have realized her position of privilege being from a planet with a structural system that gave her an unfair advantage over a vulnerable race.

"That's racist and sexist" he said to himself as he quickly did reverse 180 to dodge the tree that was sent at him by Lobo. He then spoke into a microphone and his voice boomed out of the stereo system.

"No no no! I'm not a Kryptonian like you! Check your privileges!" he shouted to her as he continued to blast away with his laser at the pale alien after he was disarmed by Solara's heat vision and sent the alien tumbling to the ground.

"That's the kind of firepower you get from the latest and greatest tech from Lex Corp alien!" he said as he continued to fire off blasts of energy. He wasn't going to let his teammate's words stop him from proving himself to the team, although he did wonder why he was chosen to help a fight a villain who could easily rip him to pieces if he got the chance.

"I guess it just comes with the job. Oh well more loyalty points for my brand" Jim thought to himself.

Solara grabbed Lobo and threw him into the sky. She took pot shots at him with her heat vision. He came crashing down. Just barely missing Clutch's car.

"Car guy how about you check your loserness at the door to the tower. Batman ain't no Kryptonian but I have seen footage of him fight people hell of lot stronger & faster than him and win. It's not about your powers its about what you can do with what you have not what Superman's archnemisis can give you." She used the closest Kryptonian equivalent to hell. "I seen him take on Superman to a standstill."

She seriously doubted he was capable of beating up a child, the way he relied on that car. It was rather pathetic. This fight was getting boring. Since no one thought to bring some kind of restraint at least not that she was aware of. She decided to get creative. She forcibly pulled Lobo's hands behind his back and using her heat vision melted the chains he wore around his wrists.

"Someone want to knock him out. Oh car guy he's going in your car when we transport him back to the tower."
