[OOC] Zombie Survival

Don't mind my lack of creative writing in this section as I want the story to come alive in the writing and not in an explanation.

Little story: Zombies have taken over the world, they are fast, strong, and only come out at night. The darkness of buildings is where they reside at day lurking in wait. You are survivors in a city that had been taken in one day. In the beginning you are on the south end trapped in a bus. Your objective is to find provisions and make it to the only remaining bridge out of the city. As your supplies are running low you'll need to gather many things from food, to weapons and medicine.

Zombies: Twice as fast and several times stronger as a normal human. Only come out at night and stay inside at day. If exposed to direct light will burn. They spread so fast entire cities fell in as little as a day.
Humans: Group of survivors originally traveling in a bus but it was flipped and they were trapped into a wedging of cars on one side and a stone wall on the other. They knocked out the first 2 day and have awakened at varies times.

Rules:
-Follow Objectives.
-Be realistic (Be true to human emotion, being scared is a large part of this.)
-No overpowered random moments (you can't overpower the zombies they are dead and use full muscle strength)
-Follow guidelines for you writing.
-Be respectful to other RP-ers and don't conflict their story.
-PM the gm if you have complaints.

Bio:

Alva is an ordinary university student, meaning that she’s almost always out of cash, knee-high in debt due to student loans that she should never have taken, and most definitely exhausted and in need of definite sleep. An only child of a single mom who was always missing in her life due to the fact that her mom needed to work to provide food on the table, Alva was a spoiled kid, given wanted material possessions as her mother’s most common way to show affection.

That self-entitlement dwindled over the years as she grew up, slowly but surely recognizing their financial situation. Alva became humbler, the gifts and offerings dwindling as she rejected those that weren’t truly needed. Since her mother was still focusing on her work, Alva finally felt the missing warmth of family and turned to media and games as a means of feeling.

One TV episode later of a show she barely remembered the name of, she got it in her mind that she was merely an investment in the most hopeful sense of the word and a burden that her mother was stuck with at the worst. Her mind swirled in negativity, convincing her heart that tried vainly to convince her otherwise that her thoughts were in the wrong and that her mother loved her truly. Suffering in silence, she drowned in depression, her mother none-the-wiser to what was happening as they didn’t know how to communicate.

Alva’s teacher saved her, however. Noticing the failing grades, she was given a talking to, the teacher leading her towards their home and forcing mother and child to actually talk. Her mother was shocked, obviously, thinking that everything was fine in her daughter’s end since Alva was quiet on the whole affair. What followed was meetings with a counselor, slowly but surely building up Alva’s confidence and self-esteem. It had taken close to two years for her to finally realize that she was alive and will be alive and will continue to be alive. Now armed with a new sense of purpose of knowing the human mind, why it did what it did, and wanting to help just like her teacher and counselor helped, she rode a bus in hopes to attend a seminar that would she light to the mysteries of the mind and hopefully help with her research paper that was a total of 20% of her whole course.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned.

Ally

Name: Ally Estrada
Age: 22
Picture: Ally is well-built, she's not a girl that will be blown away by wind. She's one of those people who don't look too strong until they flex or exercise. Her skin is slightly gold and easily tans during the summer when she's out and about. The only piercings she has are earrings, though she rarrly has them in anyway. She has deep brown eyes that go dark in the center and lighter around the edges. She has dark brown, wavy hair and if she doesn't want to do anything with it she'll put it in a ponytail. Most of her clothes are functional. It's easy to find her wearing a figure-fitted T-shirt and jeans with some tennis shoes. If the heat is above 75 degrees F, she'll definitely exchange the T-shirt for a tank-top.

Weight: During off-season 145, but currently 132 lb.
Occupation: Sports Medicine Apprentice
Bio: Ally is going through school to become a Sports Medicine Physician. Although she has her Bachelor's Degree, she still needs a few more years of school to become a full physician. Like many others, she wasn't fortunate enough to have parents who could pay for her full college tuition, actually her father couldn't really give her a thing. The woman found a love for the sport of wrestling in high school and gained scholarships for the new women's teams around the country. So, she settled here as the university gave her a lot of money in turn for wrestling. This is why she stays at 132, with a low body-fat percentage of about 17%. This could either prove good or bad for the situation, as she is in amazing physical shape, but doesn't have much body fat to compensate for any loss in calories.

Bio: Ren is shocked due to the zombie outbreak, making him traumatic, and scared most of the time. Before the Zombie Outbreak, he was an outgoing guy, addicted to games and loves pizza, he thanked himself for keeping a survival book with him at any time (incase THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPENS!),he trained martial arts at the age 10-15 making him an intermediate martial artist, he lives with his parents, so his economy is good, and made him got a lot of books to read.

Bio: Ever since he was a kid Bass was a slacker. His priorities were never in the right places, even when the time called for it. In middle school Bass wasn't that bad, not a model student, but not that bad. It was when he hit highschool that his laziness and unmotivated attitude started affecting his grades. He'd rather joke around with his classmates than do homework, ditch class for the period before he even considered the consequences. It wasn't until his last semester of highschool did he realize the consequences of his actions, but by that time it was to late to fix his track record. Bass accepted the fact that he won't get into a good university or college, so instead he threw himself into the work force. Straight out of highschool Bass got a job as a cook at a family restaurant, a place where slacking was not tolerated at all. Working in a kitchen, under a chef, has been good for him. He's becoming more mature and learning discipline, he's learned some valuable skills along with the proper attitude towards hard work.

Name: Edmund Lloyd Gainsborough (often referred to as “El”.)

Bio: This third generation officer had his life planned out before his sixteenth birthday. It had been previously decided that he would enter the police force as early as possible. After obtaining degrees in criminal justice and psychology from the local community college, El went on to perform above average throughout his training in the police academy. Shortly after obtaining employment with the local police department as his father and his grandfather had done before him, El had been promoted to Detective for his exceptional work as a street officer.

El was oblivious just as every one else had been. His bus rides to the precinct were typically uneventful. An occasional mugging or fight would break out once in a while; howver, it was typically just a time for him to enjoy the morning paper. However, struggling to maintain his balance as the bus slide across the road only made the impace worse blurring his vision until the trauma forced his vision to fade to black.

On a side note, I was wondering how quickly paced we were expect to moe? I am aware that casual is merely a couple paragraphs; however, with that being said I'm wondering if this is going to be an every day thing or longer.

Name: Nathan 'Dallas' Steele

Bio:
Dallas worked for a Chicago mob when he was young. He later climbed the ladder and went from club bouncer to hitman. He has a brilliant mind disguised behind the face of a common thug. When he was thirty he tried to turn two Chicago mobs against each other, resulting in the deaths of policemen and mobsters. A hit was placed on Dallas by the mob leaders, but he managed to survive.

While he was in hiding he ran an underground gun range. He also performed hits against drug dealers, wishing to harm the American drug trade. After ten years in hiding, he had what Bain calls a criminal's version of a: "what am I doing with my life?" kind of crisis. He then decided to steal a shipment of weapons and try to find a criminal crew.

Dallas appears to also have an official occupation while not being a criminal, where he uses the name "Nathan Steele". He was the bank manager of the First World Bank, which allowed the crew to rob with his inside help. He claims to be in "financial transfers". Whether or not this is a euphemism for his career as a bank robber or he is a real, professional financial consultant, remains to be seen. Although given he managed to attain the position of manager in a major bank, which would require him to know a lot about financing; Dallas may in-fact, be a legitimate consultant.

@forums - I'd beg to differ regarding the appearance of the character. I've personally seen high school kids who look thirty, and personally with my hair cut and face shaven I can still pass for eighteen more than a decade later. As for the biography, I will get into editing it this evening.

Further more, the biography was adjusted. Hopefully it is satisfactory.

@forums I do have a question about the color coded text. There are two different colors for 'actions' and 'ooc commentary', but wouldn't you use the commentary to describe the actions? Where do you draw the line between them?

@Undying CuriosityAn action can be taken as "he moves forward" and an ooc can be taken as "man my character is an idiot." Or "the reason he did this was..." Those type of things. So the reader can understand your thought process.
