Katherin shrugs uncertainly. " I am not sure I think the idea is if I can see the attackers coming I can hit them. It depends on how closely and how accordantly I can see only a few minutes into the future."
Ruslan is happy with Katherin's improvements, but it is clear that that much is not enough. "Will she master it just in time for the knife training, before we have to leave?" he asks Roxy.
"No Cassie. You will need Moe. I don't know less about dogs then I do lnives. I'll keep working on seeing the near future. It might take time, but I think I'll get there." Katherin stated
"Cassie I don't know the first thing about dogs. He's more likely to get killed with me the he is with you. He will protect you either way." Katherin shook her head. While she had often considered getting a dog, it just wasn't meant to be.
Katherin had never ate soup. It was one of those dishes she had never felt brave enough to try. But maybe she could practice seeing the near future to eat the soup.
The bread was easy. It was solid. The bowl of soup would be a challenge. Katherin stared at the bowl in front of her. It waved in and out of focus. It was full, half full, and then empty. Not willing to make a complete fool of herself Katherin doesn't try to spoon right way. Instead she tries to dip the bread into the bowl. She misses.
"How about I hold the bowl, and you use two hands?" Cassie asked. She hadn't thought what a challange it would be for Katherin, and hadn't thought about bringing a table in here.
"I can do this. Well maybe I can. I need to try. If I can't manage soup, weaponry is definitely out." Katherin shook her head. Katherin bite her lip in concentration. Although bowl fluctuated between different levels of soup, the bowl of soup didn't move. Carefully Katherin tried again, she felt the bread it the bowl. Atleast she was getting close.
Ruslan eats the soup slowly, but he doesn't take the bread. He eats it slowly because he is more interested in watching Katherin trying to the mundane, yet uneasy task for her. "That's quite good, actually, keep it up," he said.
Katherin continues to try dip the bread into the bowl. It took several try's because the vision was not stable, but she was finally able to get the bread into the bowl. Once she accomplished that goal. She was able to use the bread to soak up the soup. But it took her atleast twice as long to eat her soup as it did the rest of the group.
Once Ruslan knows Katherin has managed to do it right, he returns to finishing his soup in normal speed. "Don't worry, take your time," he said as soon as he finished his soup. "And here, take my bread. Apparently you eat this easier than the soup, so I think it'll be better if you have more of this," he continued.
"Bread I have eaten before. Soup is a new experience. I am not quite ready to try the spoon, but the bread works quite nicely." Katherin explains as she takes the offered bread.
