Scarlett Cromwell

Location: Outside the Community Center

Scarlett huffed a bit. Of course it had to actually be a cult. Rolling her eyes, she dug through her purse, pulling out various objects. A set of wooden runes, hand painted, came out first. Then a pack of cigarettes. Then an athame. Then a talisman. Then her Book of Shadows. She was about to pull out the tube of lipstick when her hands felt the mascara tube and she grinned. Opening the Book of Shadows to a blank page, she took the mascara wand out and drew a circle. She then spaced 26 lines equidistant on the circle, the spacing even, and wrote the letters down next to them.

"Alright, let's resume this thing. Now, I doubt this cult is Grandpa's - they're based in Boston," Scarlett mused, holding the pendulum perfectly in the middle of the circle over the page. "But even cults rarely all kill at once. So let's get a simple head count, okay? How many people killed Lucy?"

With her other hand, Scarlett put the athame, rune set, cigarettes, and talisman away in her purse. She didn't feel like having to explain to anyone what exactly she had out. With the tensions running wild, they'd freak the fuck out. And as much as she enjoyed her athame, she didn't want to have to get her hands dirty if she didn't have to.

Whitney Carlyle

Location: Outside Community Center -> P&W's Diner

Whitney was thankful she managed to catch the agent before he left. Even better, he offered to take her with him. She wanted to help, because this was all getting too weird. There is no way this is a coincidence. The drive there was tense, but she felt confident that this agent would know what to do.

As for her story, she spilled it all. "There was a group of men in suits in a van. They were at the community center and they drove away from here after we left. What was odd was this horrible smell that came. It disappeared when they left. We smelled it again here. Other than that, there's pills and such on the floor in the diner. I just...this is a lot to deal with." Part of her wanted to go home now, but she had to see this through. Those people in there deserved it.

Felicia Astrid

Location: Outside Community Center -> P&W's Diner

Felicia did as she was asked to, and in what seemed like no time at all she was back at the Diner. Agent Baker began to ask the inevitable questions that she knew was coming, so she let her new acquaintance and fellow witness start out with answering them. Felicia took that time to go back over everything she'd noticed up until that point, and once the young blonde finished speaking she then began to add on to what had already been said,

"That horrible smell...I'm pretty sure it's sulfur," Felicia noted after a pause, "Just like the stuff you showed everyone earlier. The weird thing though is that we both felt really hungry after we first smelled it. I mean, that doesn't make any sense, right? It smelled like shit, it should've ruined our appetites, but all of a sudden I'm hungrier than I've ever felt in my life." The last bit she wanted to bring up sounded crazy even in her own mind, but she felt that it had to be said. What had happened couldn't just be a coincidence.

"...Back in the Diner, we saw food everywhere. Like as if the people who died had been fighting each other over it, or maybe even ate themselves to death. I don't get it, and it sounds insane, but I think the smell caused it, and I'm scared out of my mind that the same could happen to us." She motioned to herself and the girl beside her as she said that, breaking eye contact with the FBI Agent as she did so. She was honestly expecting to be told she was out her mind, but there was no way she wasn't going to give her take on the situation.

The Lumber Mill: The man within the room turned his gaze over towards the door as he heard the gunshots from outside, and then the effort to get through the door. As the door doesn't budge, both Mariana and Alice would be able to hear the sound of metal scraping against the ground as a large metal desk on the other side shifts only slightly in response to the kick. A deep, gutteral and wicked laugh can be heard from the other side of the door, and the woman continues screaming for help as the man just turned back to the woman, continuing to string her up. The efforts of the two women seem to have hardly affected the barricade, and it seems time is against them...

The Streets of Silver Falls: Lauren shakes her head, seeming a bit frustrated at Jennifer's seeming reluctance to believe her. Turning rather drastically, she made her way down one of the main streets, as the got further down towards the shopping district, Jennifer would be able to clearly see a number of groups fighting, she would see groups of normal people, but fighting them she would see monstrous figures, humans with large horns and red, glowing eyes. She doesn't bother to stop, driving straight through but letting Jennifer see it all clearly. "Is that proof enough for you? I'm not insane."

Outside the Community Center: The Pendulum remains still, and the wind dies down as Scarlett works on preparing everything in her Book of Shadows, and as she holds the pendulum up again and asks her next question, there's no response for a few moments, before finally, the pendulum begins to move again. Unfortunately, the answer she gets is vague, as the pendulum takes a few long seconds to spell out "One and Many"

Donald Baker

Location: Silver Falls Community Center

Baker listened intently to the two girls as they spoke, glancing up every now and then as he seemed to take interest in a few things that they say. He seems most interested of all as Felicia brings up the possibility of the smell being sulfur. Reaching into his pocket, Baker pulls out the same small pouch hed showed off before, opening it up and holding it out to the girls. "Is this the same smell?" He questioned, should either of the girls take a whiff, it is indeed the exact same scent, confirming their theory.

The hunger part seems to interest him as well, but he seems lost for theories as he stands there thoughtfully. As they do, the coroner walks over, carefully speaking in a hushed tone to Baker. Luckily, the two girls are perceptive enough to hear as the coroner explains that all of the individuals in the diner apparently ate themselves to death, overloading their systems and eating whatever they could get their hands on, including any drugs or medicines that they had. The cautious look in Baker's eyes seems to fade as he listens to the coroner and nods to him, watching him move off.

"Do the two of you know where your families are? I'll send some officers to bring them to the police station so they can come pick you up..."

Mariana Garcia

Location: The Lumber Mill.
Interacting With: @Zoey White Officer Alice Olson

Mariana looked towards Alice for a moment giving the officer a slight glare, this is why she hated working along side cops they always seen her as more of a burden when it came to things like the supernatural. As she watched the officer try and open the door it still remained blocked, by the barricade. When the demon started to laugh as he continued to string up the poor girl, Mariana quickly ran towards the window and drew out her handgun aiming it directly towards the window and started to fire several shots at it.

When the glass shattered Mariana took off her bracelet and reached for the cross pendant on it, and held it out Mariana stared at the demon and then the poor girl. All she hoped was that she could exorcise the demon out of the man's body, as Mariana started to chant in Latin an exorcism that she usually used.

Alice Olson

Location: Inside the Lumbermill

Interacting with Mariana Garcia @Nallore

Alice ignored the dirty look the woman had given her- clearly she thought she knew better than her. The officer had no idea why the stranger would think something like that other than she was in kahoots with these people, but that seemed unlikely. Probably an overzealous good samaritan who had a background in security or something.

Either way, officer Olson backed up, and slammed her foot into the door once more.

"Put the hostage down, now! There's no way out!" She yelled though the door. As she braced for another kick, the all too familiar sounds of gunshots burst into her eardrums. Alice flinched greatly, before looking at the civilian next to her. She had shot at the window and began chanting something ominous in some strange other language.

"What the Hell!?" Alice shouted, confused. Some kind of pyscho vigilante? She had fired upon the suspect, gun still in her hand. She might have just cost the hostage her life by firing wildly into the room.

"Put the gun down! Hands in the air and get on the ground!" Alice shouted in an authoritative voice, raising her pistol at the apparently mad woman.

Jennifer Wolgast

Location:The Streets of Silver Falls

Jennifer followed the gaze of her confused new friend to the shopping center on her right. She started shrieking and screaming at the horrendous sight.

"Whaaaat! Whaaaaat!?" The frightened nurse leaned away, toward Lauren, as if that would protect her from the nightmare creatures currently slaughtering a group of people. Her eyes were wide in horror and wonder, mouth wide open.

As they passed the scene from Hell, Lauren made some nonchalant comment Jennifer didn't hear as she was hyperventilating in the passenger seat, hand on her chest, staring at the space in front of her. It was the end of the world. Satan had returned and his armies were beset upon them all. She imagined the true believers had already been saved and now the rest of them would have to suffer and perish and repent were they to get into Heaven. But right now, she was in an oblivious state of terror.

Scarlett Cromwell

Location: Outside the Community Center

Scarlett frowned sharply. There was a chance that she was just talking to air, but the pendulum readings had appeared to be accurate so far. And besides that, it wasn't any old witch performing them - it was Scarlett motherfucking Cromwell. This was one of her talents. These ghosts were either dumb little skanks or being overly cryptic. Either way, she was quickly losing her patience.

"I want a name," Scarlett stressed. "One would be nice, but I'll take more if you have them. There's a get-rid-of-a-hunter free card in it for you if you can find one. You wouldn't want them to find you and make you move on, would you?"

She waited to see the pendulum's response. If there wasn't anything good, she may as well find the ghost's bones and burn them herself. She was getting nowhere and she wanted to be somewhere by now. She wanted to be cracking open a bottle of champagne and toasting Lucy's death - but she couldn't do that if she didn't know who killed her.

Whitney Carlyle

Location: P&W's Diner

The fact that these people ate themselves to death scared her. It scared her because she remembered how hungry she was. So hungry. Was she almost close to going through the same thing? It sent a chill up her spine, but it also strengthened her will. She wasn't about to sit idly by while this continued to happen. She may be young, but she wasn't stupid.

"With all due respect, sir, I don't feel comfortable or safe going home. I feel kind of responsible now, after seeing these poor people like that. Surely there is more we can do to help? she said gesturing towards Felicia as well. She hadn't really known the girl all that well, but they shared the same experience and that typically brought people closer.

Even if the agent turned her away, she wasn't about to go home though.

Felicia Astrid

Location: Outside P&W's Diner

Though hesitant to do so, Felicia took a light whiff of the sulfur Agent Baker presented to her. She cringed a bit at the smell, but nodded nonetheless; it was the exact same scent from before. She was glad they were correct in their theory, though ultimately it just raised more questions than answers. How could the smell of sulfur possibly cause what had happened here? No, that couldn't be it, not on its own.

"It's the same smell, but...it can't just be that," Felicia thought aloud as the Agent withdrew back the bag, "It's almost like the smell was just a side effect of something else. Whatever those business men were doing, they couldn't have just been tossing some sulfur around and left it at that." Hadn't rituals been mentioned back during the meeting? She vaguely knew that sulfur was involved with the occult, but she didn't really know how or why. She figured it would be something worth researching, if she had the time later.

Somebody came up to Agent Baker around this time, and though the two tried to be quiet Felicia could still hear what they were saying. The truth of the Diner-goers' deaths only solidified her worries, but now she wondered why she and the student next to her were still ok. Would eating have caused their 'condition' (if she could even call it that) to worsen? Damn...if they'd gone to eat even a few minutes earlier, they very well both could've died. Felicia unconsciously tightened her hand into a fist at the thought. There was no way she could let this go now, not when her life had just been threatened like that.

"My family went home after the meeting, but I can't quite yet leave either," She agreed with the young blonde, "People are dying, Mr. Baker. Am I supposed to just go home and pretend nothing's happening? I know we're just normal citizens, but there has to be something we can do! Like...like finding those men in the suits! I didn't get a good look at their licence plates, but we'd definitely be able to point out their car if we saw it again."
