There you have it, a substitute for Meteora:

• Name: Shana, "The Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter" & Flame of Heaven "Alastor"
• Gender: Female

• Personality & History: The current Shana is almost a completely different person than her past self. In the past, she used to view herself as nothing but a tool for the purpose of eliminating Crimson World Denizens that harmed the balance of the human world. Nothing and no one, other than her few significant others, mattered as long as her purpose was fulfilled. In fact, she had so little regard for her own self that she didn't even have a proper name for the longest part of her existence, only ever calling herself by her Flame Haze title, the "The Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter".
The contempt she had for humans and, especially, Torches (human dummies with temporary lifespans, created to preserve the balance of the world's Power of Existence) wasn't exclusive of herself, though but a characteristic common to all but a few exceedingly empathetic Flame Hazes. Even so, Shana's was fostered by her secluded upbringing and isolation.
It felt like no one would ever be able to break through the walls that the Flame of Heaven's contractee erected around herself.
That is until she met a certain Mystes (a special type of Torch containing Treasure Tools inside of them) named Yuji Sakai, the gave her a name and who was the source of the biggest troubles of Shana's whole existence.
After a long journey of self-discovery, Shana finally came to terms not only with herself and her feelings but also with the whole world at large. The whole process culminated with her current self, a reassured and balanced person who, despite her looks, has gone through quite a lot in her life.
• Universe of Origin: Shakugan no Shana
• Equipment:
- Nietono no Shana: Shana’s cherished nodachi. An offensive type Treasure Tool forged by a nameless smith that would later become a feared Mystes known as Tenmoku Ikko, the blade’s first wielder. The bade came into her possession after she defeated its original owner whose spirit still inhabits Nietono no Shana to this day, as one of Shana’s loyal allies. If the situation ever demands it, he can manifest his physical body once again, but will only do so if Shana is in grave need of assistance.
- Chorde: A ring-like Treasure Tool acquired by Shana after she defeated a ravenous Denizen a long time ago. It has the ability to multiply itself as many times as the user wishes as well as to be loaded with Unrestricted Spells and used as projectile weapons. Any thrown rings will always come back to Shana.
- Pendant: The Vessel symbolizing Shana’s contract with Alastor and a mean for him to communicate with others. While it has no powers or abilities of its own (Alastor inhabits her directly, instead of the pendant), losing it puts Shana in great emotional distress.
• Abilities: As a Flame Haze, Shana possesses a number of special abilities, mostly in the form of Unrestricted Spells which are capable of manipulating one’s Power of Existence to “bring about the impossible”.
While a complete list of her Unrestricted Spells and their functions would go on for quite a while, it’s worth noting that her most iconic ones are:
- Yogasa: A black shroud which is a manifestation of Alastor’s dark wings. Shana wears it like a dark coat. It’s capable of storing a seemingly unlimited number of items as well as being a sturdy defensive tool that can protect its wielder from most forms of harm.
- Guren no Oodachi: Covers Nietono no Shana in Shana’s crimson flames to increase its damage. She can also load this spell on Chorde and use it as flaming projectiles.
- Guren no Souyoku: Shana’s crimson flames take on the shape of a pair of wings, allowing her to fly.
- Tenpa Jousai: An ability unique to the Flame Haze of the God of Retribution, Flame of Haven “Alastor”. By allowing his Power of Existence to completely fill herself, Shana is capable of summoning Alastor’s presence into the world in his full might. Normally this would be a last-ditch move since none of Alastor’s previous contractees were able to sustain the strain of manifesting the Crimson God’s immense power. Shana was the first who can do it without risking her own existence. However, it requires a very dire situation to push her into doing so.
• Other: Shana has an exceptionally strong sweet tooth with an uncommonly huge fondness for melon bread. If you want to get on her good side quickly, just get her some of it.

@KoL: Accepted. As we discussed, Meteora can be sidelined as backup for the sake of story as a semi-exclusive NPC.

Finally a replacement for the now kind of an NPC'd Vita.

  • Name: Souseiseki
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: The Fourth Rozen Maiden
  • Personality: Souseiseki is a very serious girl. As a Rozen Maiden, she follows the word of her medium to the letter, and there is little in the world that can sway her from this duty. However, if one thing were to come close, enough to make her hesitate, enough to reach her even in a dark moment, it would be her bond with her twin sister, Suiseiseki. Souseiseki does dearly love her elder twin, but the fact is that in spite of being the younger of the two sisters she is quite clearly the more mature of the two, at least in most situations. She is willing to fight, even if she does not enjoy it, and she dislikes lying. There has only been one lie she has ever spoken, and it is not an act she ever intends to repeat. Of course, her serious attitude isn't totally lacking any sort of humor, even if the rare more humorous comments Souseiseki makes are usually delivered in a rather flat fashion. In spite of being ruthless fighter, she is a rather kindhearted girl deep down who does not like to see others suffer. Souseiseki has a boyish look, and she does not mind being mistaken for a male doll, as evidenced by her more masculine form of dress and the useage of more masculine pronouns. It's likely she would not take well to being made to dress in a feminine fashion due to being totally unused to it. She is reluctant to harm humans, as that is not the purpose Rozen Maidens were created for, but will do so if given no choice or if ordered to by her medium. Finally, Souseiseki lacks knowledge of certain, more intimate subjects. As a result, she is completely unaware of the fact that talking about, for example, having her body built may come off as incredibly inappropriate and awkward.
It's likely best not to tell her how this sounds.
  • Brief History: Souseiseki is the fourth Rozen Maiden, created by Rozen as Suiseiseki's twin, in order to compete in the Alice Game. Their Father's intent was to enforce a battle in which only one of the seven dolls can become 'Alice' by killing the others, though that has stalled in some ways. As of now, Souseiseki has been reunited with her sister, but things are about to change for her once again...
  • Universe of Origin: Rozen Maiden
  • Equipment: Souseiseki utilizes a pair of golden garden shears, which are quite large when compared to her own body(though of average size to a human). While their chief function is to be utilized to allow her to cut souls and memories, they can also be used as a melee weapon, similarly to a sword. While not a piece of equipment, she is accompanied by her artificial spirit, Lempicka, who allows her to summon her shears. Finally, she has her case, which is where she sleeps. She will attempt to synchronize her sleeping patterns with her medium's, but if they make a habit of staying up very late this is unlikely to work well.
  • Abilities: To begin with, a Rozen Maiden requires a medium to utilize the full capabilities of their power. By attaching herself to the consciousness of a medium, Souseiseki is capable of utilizing far more power then she would otherwise, and of fighting properly. By using her golden shears, Souseiseki can cut through such abstractions as souls and memories. With a medium, she can do this outside of the target's dream, but without one she may only manifest her shears and her power within such dream. While she is within the dream world, the soul of the dreamer manifests as a tree. By cutting away at its branches, she can alleviate them of trauma, but if she cuts all of them they begin to lose their memories. She can even damage the soul directly in such manner. With a medium, any Rozen Maiden also becomes physically strong enough to threaten a full-sized human being, meaning Souseiseki's abilities become far more dangerous, and her very small size becomes an asset if she is forced to fight. In spite of Souseiseki's potent capabilities, it is only in conjunction with her beloved twin sister that she is capable of using the full power of the shears and watering can to heal or destroy a soul. Normally, she would be capable of accessing a world between worlds known as the N-field, but that appears to be impossible currently.
  • Other: N/A

As usual I tried to avoid spoilers in the backstory, even if it's not exactly a recent manga. ^^;
