Plot:
The blood moon is a special occasion which only comes once every 300 years. It is a source of powerful magic for any who dare to use it, but like all magic it requires sacrifice. The witches make great preparations to gather the magics of the blood moon and store it for a day when magic will be weak, but 5 years ago on the last blood moon, a rouge cult of witches rose and claimed the power for themselves.
The group is know as The Crimson Hearts, and they made a major move to interrupt the ceremony and claim the power for themselves. In essence the witches would use a altar to sacrifice different living things and then once the blood moons light touched the blood of the sacrifice they would dip diamonds into the blood and harness its power, the larger the sacrifice the more powerful the magic. The Crimson Hearts took a risk and killed everyone attending the ceremony. The result was a massive heart shaped blood diamond, that would later be known as the Moons Heart. There were seven witches responsible for this crime, and they split the heart seven different ways.
For the past 5 years they have been reigning terror across the planet, attacking major cities, kidnapping major men, women and children, harvesting souls, conducting inhuman experiments etc. Now the DWMA was the first location hit by the 7, and Death City was wrecked, the academy in shambles and lives were lost. Lady Death herself was wounded trying to fight them off, but failed in her mission to protect the city and its inhabitants. Now the city and school are still being rebuilt, and all manner of people come to the DWMA. Some to get revenge, so to find safety, some to uphold a legacy long forgotten, whatever their reason they are welcome. Death City became a safe haven for those terrorized by The Crimson Hearts, and is now know as Death Haven.

Setting & Character:
Your character will be one of those seeking refuge in Death Haven. The backstory, reasoning, and motivation to come to Death Haven and join the DWMA can be your own. Just make sure your character was affected by The Crimson Hearts in some way. The City itself is only 45% restored, the school and dormitories along with some living areas are the only ones fully refurbished. While the rest of the city is littered with unfinished construction sites and toppled over buildings. People have made their homes in the tight spaces created form the destruction and some stores even pooped up. There are certain places that have been bought by "other worldly" investors, these buildings stand like beacons of light to the poverty around them.
The world is still moving on, all governments are still in place but everyone on the planet is in anticipation for the next act of random destruction to occur. The most resilient of all world factions is the Vatican. They have begun to teach their own Meister to combat the witch threat. All in all the witch problem is like the elephant in the room every time the UN meets, but at the moment there is nothing they can do about it.

- Characters should be thought out and clean, I wont halve ass this rp so please don't halve ass your characters.
