Apart from the awkwardness, Yavanna might come to witness Saeril and her many "episodes". Kili will be the first to notice it during their time in the Lonely Mountain. Soon enough, Gandalf comes to the Blue Mountains, and tells them to come to Rivendell with him, where they learn, during the meeting, Saeril's past at full length.

That makes sense and will make it rather interesting :) I like this new retelling of the story as a whole.

Maybe allow Kili to try and sneak away to find Saeril, but only to find her in one of her many episodes.

Legolas really really needs more scenes...so let's bring on the extra scenes with him and the girls.

Later him and Yavanna :)

Just had thought I forgot to mention last night, before Legolas leaves to go North and before Yavanna goes with Delva/Kili. The pair should have a goodbye scene of sorts, as it'd be a while before Yavanna would go to follow him 'North' and find him.

That's a good idea, though I'll have to think of the right moment where they can say goodbye, until they meet again.

I am glad you like that...Mhh, maybe before or after the funeral? Or maybe, Legolas attends the funeral, just to be a support to Yavanna. And then they say goodbye, before going their separate ways for a while. Those are the only suggestions I have in mind at the moment.

Maybe during the funeral, it would change his perspective about the Dwarves, and not act so cold towards them anymore :)

Exactly :) which is a good reason, why he'd be nicer to Gimli when they'd first meet.

Nice :) I love how we think alike ;)

Now, about the time gap, because we want the events of LOTR to happen right after BOTFA. Where Bilbo grows into a senior citizen, can we say that the ring caused him to age a lot quicker than everybody else?

Maybe we can have Kili try to talk some sense into Thorin, but everything goes wrong really quick. Perhaps having to physically assault Kili, and Fili comes across the scene, just knowing how bad of a state his uncle is really in.

I like that idea, maybe it can happen...after Bard comes to Thorin asking if Thorin will hold up the end of his promise ect. Seems like a good time to try and reason with his uncle after-wards.

Actually, can he perhaps talk to him when he learns about the recently-blocked off entrance? After helping Saeril find a place to "rest"?

They will be when the day comes to an end, and when they notice the Laketowners taking refuge in Dale. For right now, he might be able to learn more about Thorin's condition from Delva.
