Why yes he does have a mechanical wolf. But Rodion likes animals, it's just that no one knows this. Though, the fact that most of his creations are based off of animals should hint at this in his mind.

I'm wondering how Ziotea would do with a wolf. I don't think she's ever seen a real one...unless maybe on one of those tests. Tis an intriguing thought. *amused* Best not, though.

@Drakey Well, Rodion would need to convince Ragnar, if he really wanted one. Which probably wouldn't be too hard, considering how much Ragnar likes him.

@shylarahThat could be interesting! Ragnar would probably think she's too mercurial to care for an animal, but we'll see.

Also, I'll have the character stuff with Antonin and Father Magnus you wanted today.

Haha, she'd never ask. But he might, maybe, catch her petting one of them. Or more. Animals are very straightforward. She likes that.

Actually caring for one, though...not sure. At all. 'Sides, if Rodion gets one, you know she's going to be with it as often as not.

Well, yeah, I was planning on her and Amir coming along. I will say, Deva's character hasn't been explored much yet, so, maybe try to hold off on headcanon stuff until we see more of her. :p

@Lovejoy It would be fun for someone other than Ziotea to get Rodion's interest, though. the kind of relationship they have...it can go very wrong if they just assume it's strong enough to handle anything without it ever being tested.

Plus it'd kick her in the butt and make her figure out what she wants.

As for Deva, I don't know about her personality yet, bet she is a very good mechanic and seems to be a lively girl. Also, I can't wait to see how Ziotea is going to react to Rodion hanging out with another girl while she's been away.

@shylarah Yes it definitely would be interesting. However, this lady has just been introduced. Don't just assume that she'll be madly in love with Rodrion at some point. I don't really want to do the thing where any time I introduce a cute, similar-aged character for someone to interact with it automatically defaults to "possible love interest". If that kind of stuff does happen, I'd rather it happen organically, as a result of that character's personality and how players interact with them.

The point is, we don't know enough about Deva yet to start pinning her as "the other woman". Maybe she's just blown away by his smarts and isn't romantically interested in him? *I* don't even know that yet. :p

Understood. I was thinking more that Rodion generally enjoys interacting with her because of how smart she is. Take into note that Rodion does not understand 'love' and may be prone to misinterpreting his own feelings.

Anyways, Ziotea would be unhappy about it.

Also, I've posted the first bit of the scene in the IC just to give people something new to read. I swear, the amount of times I typed "Drydicks" as "Drydocks"... it'd surprise you lmao

To both you and @Drakey, my thought was actually more that /Rodion/ might end up interested in /her/. She's his age, she's really into mechanical stuff, in a way that Ziotea just isn't. She's super smart, and even if Rodion likes her just as a colleague, Ziotea could totally be jealous. She is a bit of him hanging with Astraea, after all. I never assumed Devo would have interest in Rodion, nor even vice versa (though that seemed a stronger possibility).

I'm very much into organically developed relationships, though I don't mind defining them as having already developed in the past to account for a certain present, as with Rodion and Ziotea.

And yes, I could definitely see Rodion being confused. He likes spending time with her...I've no clue what he likes in terms of appearance (other than, apparently, Ziotea? But that might be she's lovely because he likes her, since that's a thing that happens), but that might be a factor. He's a teenager, a virgin, and doesn't really understand love...I can't think of a better recipe for drama. <3
