Fᴜᴛᴜʀᴇ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ, Jᴜʟɪᴀɴɴᴀ Hᴀʀᴅɪɴ

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; King Maddox & King Alistair - (@Scarlet Loup), Queen Mirabelle - (@MissCapnCrunch), Lord Aedan - (@Pundii)
After a rather rocky and bumpy trip from the Kingdom of Sliabh to the Kingdom of Abhainn, her carriage and a couple of others had stopped right behind hers. Julianna's eyes were fixated on her twiddling thumbs as she had no earthly idea why she was nervous. It is not like she hasn't been to the Abhainn Kingdom before and met Maddox but this time around, it was a little bit different for them both. She was to be his Queen and he was already established within the kingdom as a King. Maybe that's what truly made her nervous as her head lifted up and her eyes fluttered over towards the lords, ladies, princes and princesses that have gathered to greet and welcome her to their kingdom. Julianna heard the small mutters of some of them, as well but could not really make out what they were saying - Not that she truly cared or anything though.

She kept the people of Abhainn, waiting and anticipating long enough in her mind so with the nod of her head, the door was opened by an Abhainn servant and steps were placed for her to step down on. With a breath, she maneuvered herself to grab the hand of the servant and start her trek down the small steps before her as Julianna finally revealed herself to King Maddox and his people. Her eyes were fixated on him now and she had hoped that he saw her the same way she sees him. But she wasn't marrying Maddox because of his title, no, she was marrying him to bring peace between her own kingdom, Sliabh and Maddox's kingdom, Abhainn. Julianna knew that her brother sort of hated to do it but it must be done, nevertheless and she was quite happy to do it for her brother, Alistair.

When everyone that escorted and accompanied her from Sliabh to Abhainn got out of their carriages, she offered a smile and a wave towards them then started a light trek towards her brother and his Queen, Mira. When Julianna approached them, she bit her lip out of nerves then muttered towards them. "This is it. No turning back now." She did not really need a response to that as she turned heel with a light chuckle escaping from her as she walked past Aedan and even muttered towards him. "Happy to have to you here, Lord Aedan." Again, she did not wait for a response from him either as she continued on walking along the gravel ground and eyed the Prince, Jaxton and Princess, Elaisse from Sliabh before her gaze went back towards Maddox.

'Gosh. He is so charming.' She thought to herself as she finally walked closer to the King of Abhainn now and stood just mere inches from him. Her breathing altered from clam to a little bit heavy but she managed to bring it back down to calm again and looked behind her to see her accompanied party from Sliabh gathered closely behind her. Her gaze went from person to person that had gathered for her welcoming before cutting it back towards Maddox with a smile. "Things have changed here in Abhainn. But it still looks as beautiful as I remember it." She spoke then breathed a little before continuing. "You're still beautiful as I remember, as well."

After she spoke those words, she bowed to show her respect towards Maddox now then looked up at him. "Thanks for welcoming me along with the King and Queen, some other nobles of Sliabh back to Abhainn. I've heard mutters of a celebration meal is to be held for our union, yes?" She asked because she wanted to be sure and not look like an idiot whenever she was to ask again later. Julianna was done, for now anyway as she did not want to ramble and embarrass herself in front of her future King or anyone else for that matter. She wondered what he was going to say as she bit her bottom lip with anticipation now.

Lady in Waiting, Amaranthea Ashwood

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn.
Interacting With; Future Queen, Julianna Hardin @HushedWhispers, Queen Mirabelle@MissCapnCrunch, King Maddox and King Alistair @Scarlet Loup, Lord Aedan@Pundii

The day of The future Queen of Abhainn had arrived. Amaranthea was excited and thrilled, the moment she found out that her Mistress Princess Julianna was arriving in the Kingdom. It had been a while since the pair had seen each other. She had missed being near her Best-friend. It was sometimes hard, on her still even after all these years. To be away from her true home and family, of Sliabh. But she would see everyone again. Even if she was loyal to Abhainn and it's King, since her family moved. Amara would always be and remain loyal to her home, to her Mistress and the Kingdom she whence came.

She stood among the crowd, that was waiting the arrival of the Sliabh Royalty and a few nobles. Amara's breath caught in the back of her throat, in anticipation. She could hear the carriages and the welcome fanfares, of music. As the carriages had stopped, she smiled the moment she had seen Julianna. Julia looked happy, and quite flattered by the King of Abhainn. Not that she could blame her. Any woman could fall for the King's charm and handsome looks.

Amaranthea walked forward, bowing to her King in respect. "Your Majesty." It was almost as if the look in her eyes, was asking for permission to greet her Mistress.

Amara then smiled warmly at Julianna. "My Lady...it is a pleasure to see you again. I hope your journey had been well." she said softly. It wasn't long, before the pair were embraced in a soft hug, having missed her. From the corner of her eye, Amaranthea noticed Lord Aedan. He still looked as handsome and dashing as she last remembered him. Amara knew him quite well, from her home Kingdom. And for quite some time, had a crush on the Noble warrior. He was Honorable, and generous. A wonderful man, any woman in any Kingdom would dream of marrying. But the pair had not properly seen each other since her move. Besides a few brief moments, the few times that Amara visited Julianna in Abhainn.

Lady Amaranthea had mainly kept in touch with the Princess Julianna. Often asking how things were going back at home, if there was anything going on and so forth. She smiled gently towards Aedan. The soft, smile that she always greeted everyone with.

When her eyes fell on the Queen and King of Abhainn, she curtsied to the Royals. "Your Majesties, it is an honor to see you again."

Qᴜᴇᴇɴ Mɪʀᴀ ᴏꜰ Sʟɪᴀʙʜ

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; Her Husband - @Scarlet Loup Her Sister-in- Law - @HushedWhispers Her Children @Polaris North@FernStone

Carriage rides were miserable no matter where you were going.

Today was the day of Juliana's introduction to the court for the kingdom of Abhainn. Alistair wasn't the most thrilled for the marriage but he as well as everyone else knew that this relationship could bring a whole new wave to the two parted kingdoms. Mira looked from her husband to her two children in which she shared a carriage. "Are you two excited for your aunt?" Mira questioned her two children. "Whatever happens, we will remain a strong family. Will we not?" the poised Queen nodded with a smile to her children. Her hand moved to rest on her husband's giving a small squeeze of encouragement. She knew that of everyone in there carriage, he was the most wound up.

As the ride came to an end. "Here we go children. Stand up straight. Big smiles, not too big. We don't want them to think we are plagued." Mira smoothed out her dress as she waited for her children to exit out of the cart, and then her husband to follow behind. She linked arms with him as they walked forward towards the kingdom doors. Mira admired the surroundings and the people that looked upon them.

Seeing Juliana, Mira gave a gentle smile to her sister-in-law. She could tell the girl was full of nerves but she knew of the girl to be strong willed like her brother. As the family walked hastily through greetings of other nobles, Mira kept her eyes on her children giving looks of distaste if they were fidgeting too much or messing around. Appearances were very important today, and Mira would not stand for their kingdom to look like a bunch of baboons. Squeezing her husband's arm, she looked up to him with a gleam. "Your sister looks lovely today Ali. Worry not too much, or you won't be able to enjoy the day."

Prince Jaxton Hardin of Sliabh

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; Queen Mira @MissCapnCrunch - Princess Elaisse @FernStone

Jaxton hadn't been particularly excited for this day. He was neither celebrating nor lamenting the leaving of Julianna. On one hand, he was glad that the treaty might be honored and that it would bring peace to the land. On the other hand, he would be losing a close friend. He knew that there is a chance for him to still interact with her and he didn't doubt that he would find a way to make it happen if it weren't, but the fact that she would be living the kingdom entirely seemed like a surreal idea. His hands curled up to a fist and he couldn't help but sigh. He was snapped out of his thoughts when they hit a particularly bad bump. It didn't seem to affect the others inside the carriage as they all were silent as well, so he assumed that it was only because he was so deep in thought that it felt like it was really bad. He looked out of the carriage window, the view of the castle of Abhainn looming closer and closer with each passing second. He'd never personally been there so he felt a little nervous. The presence of his mother stopped him from tapping his leg as they waited. Once more taken out of his thoughts but now because of his mother, he smiled at her and said. "Yeah, I guess. I just hope King Maddox will be nice to her."

After what seemed to have been forever to Jaxton, the carriage stopped and the door opened. He nodded at his mother's instructions and then put on his best royal smile. After Elaisse exited the carriage, he followed. When they were talking about them being welcomed, he didn't actually expect for so many people to be present. There were so many people, and their eyes were all on the carriage that held Julianna. Of course their attention would be towards her, for she would be their future Queen. If he had been in their position, he would certainly be looking at her with great interest and perhaps even a little bit of judgement. After hearing the carriage door open, he turned his attention to there. She seemed rather nervous. 'Of course she'd be nervous Jax. You would't even be able to move in a situation like that.' A voice inside his head bit back. He had his hands folded behind his back to look formal, but it was also to hide the fact that he was fiddling his fingers. Despite the fact that everyone was looking at Julianna, he wasn't exactly fond of seeing so many nobles all at once. He's experienced this in court, when his father decided that it may be a good idea to let him taste what it feels like to be heading a meeting. He never felt so nervous in his life, and perhaps that became the cause of him involuntarily feeling nervous whenever around such people.

Jaxton turned towards the royalty of Abhainn - King Maddox and Prince Lucian. One could easily admit that King Maddox definitely had charm, as evidenced by his aunt's actions. Perhaps it would be good after all? Prince Lucian didn't really stand out to him aside from the fact that they looked around the same age. He smiled and nodded his head at them as a form of greeting and he looked like he was looking forward to seeing and interacting wiht Prince Lucian later. Another person stood out from the crowd as she approached Julianna. It was Amaranthea - Julianna's handmaiden from before. He remembers quite little about who she was, despite his many interactions with Julianna, but he does remember her being kind to him and how she would frequently be there whenever he was with Julianna. Maybe even a bit of a childhood crush, but that was quickly dashed when she left. "Huh, it's been a while since I've seen Miss Amaranthea. Do you want to catch up with her later?" He whispered to his sister.

When his eyes met with Julianna's, he offered her an encouraging smile. Jaxton adjusted the collar of his suit, an irritated look flashing on his face for a brief moment. However, the fact that he felt the collar was closing on to his neck was merely psychological - the longer he stood there, the more nervous he felt. He leaned towards his sister. "Do you think we can skip out on the formalities and get straight to the party?" He joked with a small smile. If anything, he wanted to be able to walk around freely so perhaps that welcoming ceremony would come soon. Standing there stiffly really wasn't him. He was a restless person after all. The stern look his mother was giving their way was enough to keep him still again.

Prince Lucian Auclair of Abhainn

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn.
Interacting With; King Maddox Auclair@Scarlet Loup

Lucian had spent been somewhat quite that day. Maybe it was the nerves of the arrivals of everyone. The final steps of the treaty were in front of them...or more so especially in front of his elder brother; King Maddox and the Kingdom. Lucian had worried about the treaty. Maybe the war, had made him cautious of the other Kingdom. The young Prince wondered, if the alliance would bring anything good for Abhainn. Most of all, he wondered how the people..Nobles of Sliabh were like.

Lucian only knew Amaranthea. Not that he knew her a lot. But the pair had a few conversations. And she perhaps one of the most kindest outsiders he knew. But he knew, not everyone would be like that. But nonetheless, there was nothing Lucian could do about this matter. All he had to do was be nice, respectful...and see for his own self, how the arrivals would be like. Hopefully, they'd be friendly...nice to get on with.

As he stood beside his elder brother. 'I wonder what they're all like.' he thought to himself. The carriages were getting closer and closer. "They're almost here." Lucian breathed out, before glancing over at Maddox. "Feeling nervous?" Lucian asked his elder brother. Flashing his brother a smile. Wondering how his brother was faring with his nerves. If he was nervous at all.

When the carriages finally arrived. Lucian watched the royals getting out. One by one, he took them in. He remained composed...a friendly smile on his face. He bowed his head in respect towards the King and Queen of Sliabh, as well as the Princess Julianna. Already, she seemed flustered by his elder brother. It wasn't long, before Lucian spotted the young Prince and Princess of Sliabh. Jaxton was the first to notice him it seemed. Lucian smiled back, with a head nod. The two Prince's seemed about the same age, height. Whilst the young Princess, she looked a little younger than the both of them.

Lucian smiled over at Elaisse, with a soft friendly welcoming smile. He didn't want to interrupt his brother and his future sister in law. There'd be plenty of time to meet everyone and properly introduce oneself.

Princess Elaisse Hardin of Sliabh

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; Queen Mira {@MissCapnCrunch}, Prince Jaxton {@Polaris North}

Elaisse found that she did not particularly mind the journey. She spent the first half of it sleeping against her brother’s shoulder before waking up and quietly sketching. Though that was a bit more difficult with the bumps. She was just glad she had managed to bring some materials in there with her.

“Of course, mother,” Ela responded softly to the questions posed, meaning for it to be an answer to both as she barely glanced up from her drawing of a flower. She was trying to prepare herself for when they arrived. She knew that there would be a lot of people though hopefully she wouldn’t have to talk to many. The attention would be on her aunt after all.

They stopped all too soon for her liking. She inclined her head slightly to show that she had heard her mother’s instructions and a forced a smile onto her lips. It was a bit shaky but she had enough practice at faking a smile. She scrunched her hands up in her dress as she exited the carriage and stuck close to Jaxton as he followed her out. Even with the attention not being on her there were far too people around. She could feel the familiar sense of panic rising but fought it down. Nobody would pay attention to her. She just had to stand there with her family and look respectable. That was something she could do.

She carefully smoothed out her dress as she calmed down, forcing herself to stay still and put her hands at her side. She urge to tug at her hair or continuing smoothing it was quite something but the sharp glances from her mother stopped her. So instead she turned to look at the nobles that were out to greet them. King Maddox was just like she’d been told – dashing and looking the part of the King. His charms didn’t invoke anything in Elaisse but it had clearly worked for her aunt. She was more curious about the younger royal anyway, the Prince who was close to Jaxton’s age. There wasn’t anything that stood out about him – but maybe that was a good thing. If he was flashy it would be harder for Elaisse to talk to him, at least. She caught his smile towards her and smiled back with a slight nod – it was nervous, but genuine. She then turned her attention to Amaranthea as her brother mentioned her.

“Oh, yes, that would be nice,” Elaisse responded softly with the slightest hint of a blush. She only had a few memories of the handmaiden, but none of them were bad. The lady was even more beautiful than she remembered. “I’m glad there is someone our Aunt knows that will be staying with her.”

She continued to watch the interaction curiously, tugging at a loose strand of hair when she was sure her mother wasn’t looking. She could still feel her initial nerves and knew they were unlikely to go away until they were somewhere quieter. She just hoped that this didn’t take too long.

“I’m not sure any kind of party will be better,” Ela laughed quietly as her brother joked, covering her mouth slightly with her hand to make sure their parents didn’t overhear them. She doubted their mother would tolerate them wanting to leave. “I would quite like this to be over soon, though. Too many people. And it will be nice to look around somewhere we’ve never been.”

Though she had forgotten there was likely to be some kind of celebration later in the evening. While it would be a good opportunity to talk to people individually it wasn’t something that appealed to Elaisse. It would just be more crowds.

“I wonder if someone will show us around at some point,” she added to Jaxton as an afterthought.

Lord Amberlin

Location; The Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; Myself

The family's carriage was held in a sapping silence. Silence, save for the grooves of the wheels treading through the dirt path beneath them and the thudding clop of the horses shoes before them. The silence suited Amberlin fine. Seated at his side, his wife Jocosa, the most enthused of the entire bunch. She was, he imagined, quite excited for the wedding and festivities and was happily sewing away, stopping only to occasionally chastise their son. Sat in an uncomfortably large green coat and clothing far more formal and restrictive than he was used to, he had taken to fidgeting to relieve his boredom. His mother breaks the silence,

"Brom, dear. Would you please sit still?" She asks, shortly. "We're nearly there. You'll spoil that coat if you're not careful."

"Stop coddling the boy," Amberlin chides softly, trying to soften the blow with a few belly laughs. "You do fuss over him. He's just uncomfortable," he laughs again. "I hardly blame him." He turns his attention to his son: "You know, I'm not that comfortable myself," he adjusts his own coat, a similar hue but finely embroidered and fitting his form. Brom giggles a little. "It's just for a day or two, then we'll be back at home and you can do as you please. I can take you to another execution, or on a hunt." The son nods, a little put out. "Does that sound good to you?"

"Yes father," the eight year old drones, almost singing. The phrase was a go-to when he was in doubt.

"Brilliant." He catches a breath. It's not everyday that your King is due to be married." He smiles, slightly pained. His wife puts a hand on his shoulder.

"We're almost there. Let's just enjoy ourselves. It's a miracle to see you for this long at a time, even now that you're working less. Get this done and I promise you can get back to work."

"This is work." The father chips in, slightly tongue in cheek.

"That may be but let's just get through it." The last occupant of the carriage, in response to this, can do nothing to hold back a short smirk.

"She lives!" Amberlin exclaims with mock surprise. To the right of his son was his only daughter, Branwen. She had not yet forgiven her parents for dragging her along with them to the capital. "Is the skulking finished with then, Miss? I shall not be happy to drag around a silent corpse of a daughter to meet the other dignitaries." Her arms had not left a crossed position since she had entered the carriage, but now began to rest by her side.

"I don't see why I couldn't have just stayed at home. I like it at home. I hate all these events. This dress itches."

"As if we could trust you to stay at home on your own. Frankly, I'd worry about your prospects of just finding something to eat." He snorts.

"You're not funny..."

"I'm hilarious. You don't get a say in that." He smiles. Quite frankly you're lucky to come with us. It was this or the monastery with your brother."

"I would have preferred that!" She protests, halfheartedly. She would not have preferred that. "...How long is it to the castle then?" Amberlin crooks his head around to face the front window of the carriage. They had passed through most of the initial forest and had pushed into a built up area. The castle lay about a mile ahead.

"Not too long." He turns to look at all his family gathered with him. His other two sons had not been able to make it down with them. "Everyone get your smiles ready. If you wear a nice enough mask no-one will ever guess that you hate their guts." The carriage twists on to its destination.

Location; Alice's Chambers - Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; Myself

Alice, expressionless as she is, couldn't hide the despair that undesirably overtook her mind and body. Whilst sitting in front of a beautifully crafted vanity within the chambers of a sunlit room that still housed the crisp, morning chill, Alice paid no mind to whatever appearance that her handmaiden was giving her for the day. Her mind remained focused on a single fear that the future potentially held, one in which could ruin her prospective happiness that she so strongly hoped for. Alice's childhood companion, her King, the only love she could imagine herself considering, ripped away because of an unwanted pact of peace between rivaling kingdoms.

Alice's gaze, fixated on the mannequin that fashioned her worn, but still graceful, battle armor, broke when her handmaiden finally spoke,"I'm finished."

Alice turned to the mirror, a little displeased with the over-elegant look that she would be sporting for the day, but perhaps it would be a look that would somehow convince King Maddox to think otherwise of the marriage. Regardless, Alice expressed her gratitude,"Thank you, Jetta. You really should consider styling a more worthy noblewoman, for I don't deserve such a talented handmaiden."

Jetta chuckled,"My Lady, you are too kind." She fixed up her hair and added the finishing touches with beautiful jewelry to compliment her long, fitted gown that gleamed of metallic tones. Jetta continued,"You best get going, to not be late for the arrival of the Sliabhian royal family."

It was clear that Jetta was careful with her words, refusing to mention anything of the coming Queen-to-be. Alice respected that, but also respected Jetta in general, for she was always honored to be the handmaiden to Alice. Jetta, tall and slender with long brunette hair, always had a beauty that Alice envied, with a humble and kind personality respectfully paired with her alluring appearance. For years, Jetta was always the one to bring fashion and style into Alice's everyday life, whether it be furnishing her room, sewing her gowns, or dressing her up for a ball. It was clear that Jetta had great talent and had an eye for beauty, for she was the one to design the appearance of her armor as well. Judging from that, Jetta knows a great deal about Alice's life, but she primarily works as Alice's stylist rather than any ordinary handmaiden that fetches her food and wine, or any other demand that a noblewoman would stress.

Alice stood and proceeded to her father's chambers of the Allaire court to show her respects before leaving to join the other nobles. It seemed as though Alice would only ever crack a smile when she was near her father, but even those smiles required a bit of forcefulness since her bed-ridden father spawned a great deal of sadness for Alice. Not taking anymore time to save from being late, Alice proceeded out the door and proceeded to join the rest of the nobles.

Being new to the noble scene, Alice had very few acquaintances, thus saving her from having to greet any absurd amount of prissy nobles that she came across -- though she did receive many looks as she always does when she makes an appearance. Alice found her way to a spot where she'd get a clear view of the scene, but it was enough for her if she could merely watch King Maddox and nobody else.

As soon as she laid eyes on him, her heart skipped a beat and the loud muttering of the nobles were deafened. A weight pushed down on her shoulders as a faint expression of sorrow was released, watching the charming King await his upcoming bride. The butterflies that filled her stomach was familiar, but the sadness that now came with them was as foreign as the Sliabhians stepping foot on their territory. It would be second-nature for Alice to scan the scene and soak in the faces of every individual involved within the event, but her fixated stare remained on King Maddox, for this could be one of the last times she would see him without a woman locking arms with his.

The silence broke her stare as she finally eyed the welcoming Sliabhian royal family. It was easy to depict the nobles from the royalty, and the military officers from the soldiers. She took as little time as necessary to survey the situation as the Queen-in-waiting stepped out of her carriage, a moment to be remembered by every noble, soldier, and royal member to witness.

How cliche it would be for this new-found adversary of Alice's to be ugly, undeserving, spoiled, and bitchy -- but it wasn't the case, even with the rumors that spread fast within the noble courts. She even tried her best to picture this moment and how it would feel, but the magnitude of the real event didn't compare to what was fabricated in her mind. A few gasps and intense muttering escaped from the crowd, but the silence was still apparent as the beautiful Queen-to-be glowed in the daylight.

Julianna Hardin, member of the Sliabhian royal family, the future Queen of Abhainn, and the woman that played the most important role in tying the kingdoms together to bring peace between the lands. Her beauty was astonishing, almost overwhelming for Alice. A gorgeous, blonde woman to rival the look of Alice's, with an incredible body that was perfectly complimented by the gown she fashioned. Her clear complexion, fair skin, and grace in her steps seemed to only add to the competition that was already becoming established in Alice's mind. Alice paid no mind to any other noble in the situation, her focus being maintained on this new competitor that entered the courts.

This jealousy was like nothing Alice has ever experienced before. Her mind, running to her war-like, barbaric ways, described the feeling as if her heart was ripped out and trampled on by heavy, iron greaves, only worn by a woman that completely outmatched her in terms of beauty and elegance. Clenching her jaw, Alice eyed the event and took in every bit of the situation, paying no mind to the rest of her surroundings, which was unordinary for Alice to do, but the time has come for her to work on a different form of strategy. A form that deals with nobles, royalty, and love, influenced by jealousy and hatred.

Aedan Merryn

Location: The Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With: Julianna Hardin @HushedWhispers

The journey into the heart of the Kingdom of Abhainn was not one that Aedan had ever expected to make without an army at his back, but it would have been foolhardy to suggest that Aedan was not pleased to be making such a journey. He had spent most of his life at war against Abhainn, and while once the lord had held a fire in his heart and a hate-fuelled rage against the Abhainnian people, many battles and scars had caused that all to fade away. Now, the general was tired, and though he knew in his heart that this peace was likely not one to last the test of time, it would at the very least allow for some respite and put an end to the constant fighting that he had been taking part in.

As the castle grew nearer ahead, Aedan urged his horse to canter up towards the front so he would be nearer to Julianna's carriage. He arrived only shortly after the carriages came to a stop, climbing down from his horse and handing the reigns off to one of his men as he moved up to see the members of the royal family. As he heard Julianna's voice heading past him, he paused and turned to face her, giving her a gentle nod but holding back his smile for a time. As she moved toward Maddox, Aedan turned back towards the men outside who had escorted them on their journey. He preferred to busy himself helping and giving them orders than simply watching, and feeling the eyes of the Abhainnian nobility upon him.

He was grateful for the fact he was not in his armour, he had brought it certainly, but knew that arriving in his armour would certainly not set the best foot forward considering the reason for their journey. Instead he wore the leathers he would usually wear beneath such armour, removing the gloves from his hands as he ordered a few of his guards to oversee the servants bringing the royal's items to their rooms. He knew that outside of his armour only a few Abhainnians would likely know of him, but with the crowd of nobles who were watching them, he figured some word may spread quickly.

Almost subconsciously, he reached up and idly touched the scar along the side of his face, glancing back towards the crowd that had gathered finally. He wondered if she was among them. Though he and Abhainn's famous battle-maiden had met many times on the field, they had never spoken outside taunting and threats, as was the way in war. Now that there was peace, even if perhaps just a temporary one, he couldn't help but hold the desire to learn who she truly was.

He sighed and shook the thought from his head, finally turning away from his guards as he moved back up towards the royals, pointedly choosing to stand a few feet back from them all. Aedan was a man who held true to his position, regardless of how much it caused his king irritation. He knew his place all too well and he would always keep to it. Always just the loyal soldier.

Maddox had hardly had a moment to himself since first waking that morning. It made sense, however, for today was a momentous day, and his court had to ensure everything went well. Peace between the two kingdoms was at stake here, and they'd be damned if their half-wit of a king soiled it.

He could have sworn his head had hardly hit the pillow the morning before when there was a sharp knock at the door. Maddox's eyes fluttered open, and he gave a soft curse as the shouting from the servant outside reached him through the door.

"One moment!" he shouted in reply, startling the woman in bed beside him. She grabbed at the sheets, covering her exposed self deftly.

"Shall I leave you, Your Highness?" she breathed, still speaking in the lilting tone that had caught his ear the night before - though he was certainly not a difficult man to convince when he had imbibed, and imbibed he had at the gathering he had thrown to celebrate a final night of singularity.

"That does seem wise, doesn't it, m'lady?" he asked, quirking an eyebrow as he nodded towards the door where his coterie awaited him. The girl blushed as she dressed, painfully aware of the walk she would have to take before Maddox's staff as they waited for the chance to begin preparations. But Maddox himself concerned himself little with such a thought and laid his head back down on the pillow before staring up once more at the ceiling high above him.

That had been hours ago, but it seemed far longer than that. He stood now in the courtyard, watching as the carriages rolled to a stop. His skin prickled under his collar as he watched the first few nobles disembark. To his right stood his younger brother, Lucian, who leaned over slightly to question the King's nerves.

"Oh, I'm quite alright," he returned, smirking to himself. "Just preparing to give away my freedom for the good of the kingdom." Maddox gave a few quick taps of his foot as the royals left their carriages. The King and Queen caught his eye first - both dignified in their own way, led by their children.

But then there was Julianna in all of her glory. She seemed to glow in the Abhainnian sun, her golden locks catching the rays. She was stunning, and he couldn't help but give a slight smirk as she began to approach him. At least he might enjoy some part of this forced marriage. Maddox took a step towards her, nearly closing the gap between them.

"My lady, it is a pleasure to have you here in our kingdom," he greeted, giving a quick bow. Maddox reached for one of her hands and took it gently in his own. "You're certainly more beautiful than I could have imagined." He pressed a quick kiss into her knuckles and then let her hand go softly. He looked towards Alister and Mira now, inclining his head slightly as the royal couple approached.

"Your Majesties, it is an honor to welcome you and your family to my kingdom, and I hope you feel welcome throughout your time here." He looked back to Julianna once more and flashed a quick smile. "And yes, there will be a celebration to welcome you all. But first, I hope you and your party will make yourselves at home." Lady Amaranthea stepped forward from the crowd, greeting him with a bow. He nodded in return, inviting her to greet her new mistress.

Maddox, instead, turned to look at his Sliabhian counterpart - Alister. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Alister," he remarked, nodding once more at the older man. "I have heard tales of your prowess in battle."

He looked once more to Julianna, flashing a smile in her direction again and hoping she might catch his eye. Maddox was already quite aware of his effect on her - he could still see the tinge of a blush in her cheeks, could hear the breathiness in her voice as she addressed him. He might enjoy himself yet - for now, at least.

Fᴜᴛᴜʀᴇ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ, Jᴜʟɪᴀɴɴᴀ Hᴀʀᴅɪɴ

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; King Maddox - (@Scarlet Loup), Lady Amaranthea - (@WolfLover), Lord Aedan - (@Pundii), Prince Jaxton - (@Polaris North), Princess Elaisse - (@FernStone)
When King Maddox stepped towards her, she let out a soft gasp as the gap between them was enclosed by their bodies. Her eyes fluttered up to meet his gaze as she could not help but smile and blush then nearly fainted whenever he spoke towards her and grabbed her hand into his own. To her, it felt like their hands belonged intertwined together and she felt happiness, too. When he spoke towards her, she took a breath then listened to him after she returned his bow with a curtsy of her own. "Oh, Maddox." Julianna managed to say after he placed a soft kiss on her knuckles before letting go of her hand.

It was then she watched Maddox greet her brother, Alister and his Queen, Mira that she took a moment to scan her eyes along the crowd once more. It was when Maddox answered her question about the celebration that her gaze went back over towards him, returning his smile with a bright one of her own. "I hope your people of Abhainn can still keep up with my people from Sliabh." She commented, hinting that the people Sliabh certainly enjoyed their share of parties and such.

Once she made that comment, a female stepped forward and she almost squealed but certainly waited until she was addressed. She gave Amaranthea a hug back then released it as she held her hands into her own now. "My dear friend, Amaranthea. My journey was well, thanks but the gravel roads were quite bumpy." She said with a laugh then released her grasp from her hands now, turning her gaze briefly from her to focus on Maddox as he spoke with the King and Queen of Sliabh.

"So, have you been treated well here in Abhainn?" Julianna questioned towards her lady in waiting now then grabbed a hold of her hand again and started to walk towards Aedan, offering him a smile when she approached him. "Surely you two remember each other. Might be a good time to catch up." Julianna said as she then walked over towards the Prince and Princess of Sliabh and stood in the middle of them. "I feel like getting on a horse already and riding through the gardens." Her comment was mostly towards Jax but it was more of an invite towards Elaisse.

While leaving them to ponder on the thought, she stepped forward and went beside Maddox now as she had hoped that she wasn't interrupting anything important. "My King, we've had a long journey here and some of us need rest. Mind getting some servants and guards to show us to our chambers?" She asked of Maddox with a smile then batted her eyelashes repeatedly as she waited for a response from him.

Lady in Waiting, Amaranthea Ashwood

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn.
Interacting With; Future Queen, Julianna Hardin @HushedWhispers, Lord Aedan @Pundii

Amara had felt relieved, when King Maddox allowed her to greet Julianna. Her friend and Mistress. It was a moment, Amaranthea had been looking forward to. To seeing her friend once more, it felt like centuries instead of years; since they had seen each other. Amara had for years, been used to seeing her friend every single day. As the two young women embraced. Amarantha noticed young Prince Jaxton and Princess Elaisse. She couldn't help but smile over at the two young royals.

They both looked grown up. Jaxton was no longer, the little boy she remembered him being. He had grown into a fine young man. And Princess Eliasse, was as beautiful as a blossoming flower. Amara couldn't wait to catch up with the pair of them. She had missed them. Amara had fond memories, of them both. It made her feel a little emotional, seeing them again. Amara felt a few tears well up in her eyes. But she blinked back the moisture in her eyes; before anyone could notice. As she smiled at her friend, giving Julianna's hands a soft squeeze.

She giggled softly, at the road comment. "Aren't they just?" she said with a slight shake of her head. "But, I am glad your journey was all well. You look as radiant and alert as always, even after a long journey." she smiled. Amara was never one to think, she was more beautiful than her Mistress. She was modest, if anyone commented on her beauty. She'd always say, The Princess was more fair and beautiful, than she.

At her question, Amara nodded gently. "People have been rather welcoming and kind. King Maddox, had been rather gentle and understanding about the situation." Amaranthea said softly. Of course, she had not met the entire Kingdom, of Nobles. But those that she did, have been rather pleasant and kind to her. Amara was not prepared for the moment, that her best-friend and mistress, pulled her over to Lord Aedan. Amara blushed, when she saw the young Lord. Looking as dashing and handsome, as he was; up close.

She looked a little flustered, but smiled warmly. "Of course...I remember." she said softly. Aedan was not someone, she would forget easily...if ever. Amaranthea couldn't help but shoot a slight look towards Julianna. As if she was asking her. 'What are you doing?' Amara hoped, that her blush wasn't too noticeable.

Turning her glance back towards Lord Aedan, she curtsied. Biting the inside of her cheek slightly; feeling a little nervous. It had been a while since the pair had spoken. She didn't really know, what he made of her leaving Sliabh, the way she had to. But she hoped, there were no harsh feelings there. "It's good to see you again, My Lord. I trust, everything has been well?" she said softly.

Prince Lucian Auclair of Abhainn

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn.
Interacting With; King Maddox Auclair@Scarlet Loup Future Queen, Julianna Hardin@HushedWhispers

Looking at his elder brother; The King. Lucian knew exactly what Maddox meant when he spoke about his freedom. Sleeping with any living breathing, beautiful woman that caught his eye and interest. But young Lucian did not voice those thoughts. It would be rude, and un-brotherly of him. But he could not help, but to hope. That this treaty, this marriage and union...might change his brother. Hopefully, his future Queen and Wife, would change his ways? Was it too much to live in hope for that? Maybe it was...but at least he had some hope.

"It can't be that bad...it's supposed to bring peace. It's supposed to be a good thing, for both Kingdoms, as I understand it." Lucian said softly. At least, he hoped it would be good. And not somehow, turn against them. Lucian wasn't sure what to think of the union between the two Kingdoms. But of course, he tried to be optimistic, for his brother's sake. "Aren't you getting a little tired of this never-ending feud?" he questioned. Their conversation had been somewhat short, with the arrival of the royals. During the weight, Lucian had been whistling to himself; whilst his brother tapped his foot. As usual.

Watching the interaction, between his brother and the Future Queen, his soon to be sister-in-law. He chuckled inside of his own head. How women, always went like jelly around his elder brother. It always seemed to give his brother so kind of pleasure. Whilst, Lucian himself did enjoy flirting with some young ladies at court. He was harmless, unlike his brother's need to bed most of whom he flirted with.

Hearing Julianna's comment about her people. Lucian couldn't help but laugh softly. "I think, some of us here could use a little challenge." Lucian spoke. Of course, teasing slightly. But he smiled at the Princess, before he bowed to her. "Prince Lucian Auclair...it's a pleasure to meet you, your majesty." Lucian had smiled warmly, at his soon to be sister-in-law. She indeed was very beautiful and fair. The kindness and spirit from her, seemed to be rather clear already. He certainly, was looking forward to this evening and getting to know the guests. He was curious, even if he felt bit cautious about it.

King Alister Hardin

Location - Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With - Queen Mira {@MissCapnCrunch}; King Maddox {@Scarlet Loup}; Future Queen Julianna {@HushedWhispers}; Lady Amaranthea {@WolfLover}

Alister had been vaguely restless for the majority of the day. Though he had finally ceased bouncing his leg, the past hour had been spent with him twisting and turning the rings he had adorned himself with. They were inlaid with expensive stones and gems, expected for a man of his sheer status in society.

He certainly could have spent the entire ride in silence, and he had fully intended to do so, but Mira took it upon herself to shatter the silence. She addressed the children, but he couldn't help but wonder if the question had been intended for him to overhear. It was no secret that he hated this arranged marriage. Not only had he heard some unsavory rumors of Abhainn's king, he simply couldn't help but feel a wave of guilt every time he saw his sister now. Though the treaty had technically been the doing of his father, he had been the one to carry it out, and he would see it through.

Alister's jaw clenched for a moment, but he softened as Mira rested her hand atop his. Slowly, he turned his hand over, entwining his fingers with hers. Alister looked up at his son, giving a soft chuff of laughter. "I am sure we all hope he treats her well," he commented softly, more to himself than anyone else, as he brushed his thumb along the back of his wife's hand.

The carriages rolled to a stop slowly, and they all began to stand and exit. The children left first, then he and Mira. She linked her arm with his, only accentuating the sheer difference in their heights. The four of them proceeded forward, following Julianna through the crowd. If he thought his own court was awful, the sheer volume of people now was horrific.

"She does," he agreed. Alister looked back at her and couldn't help but give a slight smile back at her. "I will try, my dear. For her sake and for yours."

Julianna rounded back, passing him. Alister offered her the same smile he had given Mira, forcing himself to look excited for her. "It's a big day, Julia." And then she was off, approaching her future husband. He looked up as the two young royals came face to face, greeting each other.

In the meantime, as Amaranthea approached, he gave a quick nod as memories of her came back to him. It had been ages since he had last seen her. "You look well, Lady Amaranthea. It is good to see you."

A voice beside him drew his attention back to Maddox who was busy already speaking to the royal couple. "We are certainly grateful for your hospitality," he replied, bowing slightly to Maddox, markedly more so than Maddox had to him. He couldn't help but flush slightly and feel the skin under his collar crawl as Maddox remarked on his days in battle. "You...flatter me. Though I can not say I have heard much of your prowess." The blush that crept up Maddox's face gave him slightly more pleasure than he had intended on.

Prince Jaxton Hardin of Sliabh

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With; Princess Elaisse @FernStone, Lady Julianna @HushedWhispers

Jaxton wondered when they would all be able to talk with each other, because so far Prince Lucian seemed to be a nice guy. He was pretty sure that Elaisse would want to talk with him at some point or another, since they were all around their teenage years. He also doesn't seem to be too overbearing, unlike his older brother who Jaxton really didn't feel all too comfortable around. Maybe that was because of the rumors he had heard about the King Maddox, but those were just passing rumors here and there so he never believed it. Or at least, he thought he didn't. His father shared his sentiments about it.

Now that he properly thought about it, this must be hard on his father too. Lady Julianna was his sister, and if Jaxton's relationship with Elaisse was something to go off from, then this was probably hard on the Sliabhian King as well. To give off his sister must have been depressing to do - even if it was for peace. Jaxton wasn't sure if he would even be able to do that if he were in his position. No matter how much he wanted peace for the kingdom, trading off family would be extremely difficult.

"Then let's make sure to track her down later. I'm sure it won't be too difficult." Jaxton whispered back to his sister. If there would be a party later, then it would be easy to look for her and then manage to get some interaction out of her; that is, if she wasn't busy catching up with Lady Julianna and the others. But, Jaxton will find a way.

King Maddox had replied kindly to Julianna. Taking her hand and then kissing it, like what a proper gentleman would do if they met their future wife... if Jaxton's source of education was something to be trust at the very least. His auntie was completely captivated by the Abhainn King's charms. The young prince thought that it might be good, and his opinion on the king had increased somewhat. "It'd be better than just standing around. But I see your point, sister. I must argue though, in a party, it'd be easier to escape." He turned to her and then winked with a small grin on his face. It wouldn't be too big since he didn't want the nobles to think ill of him and would then result with his mother getting angry at him because of it.

He turned back to the interactions. After King Maddox went to his parents to introduce himself properly, Lady Julianna took her old friend and then brought her to Lord Aedan. Jaxton remembered that he would be coming along to organize their guards and also to make sure that everything was secure for all of them. She seemed rather flustered when his aunt dragged her off to him, but knew that the interaction was inevitable.

"Maybe we can talk Lady Amarenthea into it." He then paused, a thought crossing his mind. It was an odd thought, but something that could prove interesting to both him and his sister. "Or maybe ask an Abhainn native?" He suggested, quirking an eyebrow as he looked at his sister. Unless someone would take the whole royal family around, then they'd have to take matters in their own hands. They seemed accommodating enough, so perhaps they would be alright with letting the prince and princess walk around and find out more about the palace and the kingdom in general.

That was when Lady Julianna turned their attention to them, and walked between them. "It seems like I'm not the only one with that thought." He mused to his aunt with a wide smile on his face when she suggested taking out the hose and riding through the garden. He looked at Elaisse. She would usually accompany him when he decides to take out the horse and escape from the castle. His definition of 'alone' usually didn't mean completely by his lonesome. While sometimes it would come to that, he usually appreciated the presence of his sister there. Even if he would be walking around while she sketches.

Aedan Merryn

Location: The Kingdom of Abhainn
Interacting With: Amaranthea Ashwood @WolfLover

Aedan kept his gaze on Julianna, watching her closely as she spoke with Maddox. Only briefly did his eyes shift away to look up and over the guards that were nearby, taking in the Abhainnians and their own precautions. The danger of anything actually happening with both royal families so open and close to one another was low, but it was clear there was little trust between the two kingdoms at that gathering. Regardless, Aedan was there to protect Julianna and the Hardin family, and he had no intention of failing in his mission to do so.

His attention was drawn away from the guards however as he heard the footsteps approaching him, and saw in his peripheral vision Julianna making her way over toward him. His gaze locked onto hers first as he saw her smiling towards him, the same, dutiful and stoic look across his face as she spoke. Raising an eyebrow at her words, he turned his gaze then to who she had dragged over towards him, only taking half a moment to realise who it was.

Involuntarily, Aedan's eyebrows rose and his eyes widened in genuine surprise. There were few things that caught Aedan off guard, at least, few things that ever caused him to express such a visible surprise, but he had not expected in any degree to see Amaranthea. it had been a great deal of time since they had seen one another, as Julianna had said, and as he quickly did his best to gather himself, he gave a slight bow of his head towards Amaranthea while Julianna continued off.

Straightening up again, he nodded as he clasped his hands behind his back still, watching her closely. "It is good to see you again, My Lady, I've been as well as things have permitted." It was the kind of evasive answer he always gave, speaking of himself was never something that came easily to Aedan, and even Julianna and Amaranthea had needed many hours of prying in more private settings to get the man to open up in any way. "I hope you've been comfortable in Abhainn since you left, personally, it's a bit warmer than I'd like." It was well known of Aedan's distaste for warm climates. The rough northern lord was far more at home in snowy mountains to the North, after all.

The sun was finally setting over the Kingdom of Abhainn as the sky was slowly turning to a color of darkness. Nobles, whether with they were with someone or alone, alike were trickling inside Abhainn's ballroom now as the welcoming celebration was just about to start. Fireworks lit up the sky above everyone as most were outside watching them while others were already inside to enjoy the musicians and dance, eat and drink or even mingle with other nobles such as themselves. There was a table with two chairs present as it was reserved for King Maddox and his future Queen, Julianna, of course. While people were expecting their sudden arrival and to see them, many stood in the doorway to get a glimpse of Julianna.

Fᴜᴛᴜʀᴇ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ, Jᴜʟɪᴀɴɴᴀ Hᴀʀᴅɪɴ

Location; ► Her private chambers ► Abhainn's Ballroom ◄
Interacting With; Jaxton - {@Polaris North}, Elaisse - {@FernStone}

If she wasn't nervous before, she was definitely nervous now because she was actually going to have to mingle with people from Abhainn tonight. Luckily for her, if she makes herself looks like a fool or her nerves set in, she could just go to someone from Sliabh and calm down slightly. Julianna had sent her ladies in waiting to their private chambers to get ready for the upcoming ball but her eyes went over towards a box that was placed upon her bed. She started a soft trek over towards her bed then grazed her hand over the box as an envelope was attached on the box as she grabbed it and slowly opened it. The letter enclosed mentioned that inside the box was a gift from Maddox and it was for her to wear at the ball.

Julianna kind of rolled her eyes as she sat the letter onto her nightstand beside her bed. She opened the box and seen the dress then could not help but let out a soft gasp while her hands covered her mouth because she was honestly surprised about the dress. It was just her color and the designs upon the dress really intrigued her so. She picked up the dress now and examined it, just to make sure it wasn't a ploy or anything of that nature. While she was still examining the dress, her ears twitched as she heard a knock being placed upon your door.

"Enter." She muttered as two handmaidens came inside and bowed towards out of respect before one of them spoke. "My lady, we're here to get you prepped and ready for the ball." They both eyed her as she nodded her head then waved her hand for the handmaidens to do what they have to do. One drew her bath water as the other one came over towards her to help her undress. After a few minutes, she bathed and was out of the tub then dried off as she was now getting dressed by the handmaidens now. While she sat down in front of her vanity section, she turned her gaze towards her handmaidens as she smiled towards them. "Go and see if my ladies in waiting need attending to. Tell them I sent you ladies to them."

The handmaidens bowed again as they left. Julianna turned back towards her vanity mirror as she stared at herself then started to put on her makeup, which was something matched her outfit. She let her hair stay tied up in a bun with a few curls draping just past her neck. Whenever she felt like she looked up to par of a future Queen, Julianna stood up and opened the doors that lead to her chambers as she seen two guards standing there as they both turned their gazes to grace upon her. "You look lovely, my lady." One guard spoke as the other one nodded his head in agreement. Julianna could not help but offer them both a smile as she eyed them back. "Thanks to you both. Mind escorting me towards the ballroom?"

"That's what we're here for, my lady." The other guard finally spoke as they started to walk whenever she was fully out of her chambers now and closed the door then trailed behind the guards. The closer they got towards the ballroom, Julianna jumped slightly at the sound of fireworks popping high in the sky above them. "Wait." She muttered towards the guards as she walked over towards one of the windows, which opened and lead out to a balcony and her eyes were fixated along with memorized at the fireworks. "Beautiful. Isn't it, my lady?" Another guard said as she turned towards them both and nodded her head.

After looking up at the fireworks for a few more moments, she exhaled a sigh and turned heel to start their trek back up towards the ballroom after she closed the window. They turned one final corner and there she stood at the doorway now, everyone gazed upon her entrance and the musicians played a soft melody. Julianna gasped as all eyes were placed upon her as she mustered up a smile, which now plastered her face and curved among her lips. She started to walk further into the ballroom now with the two guards still surrounding her as people bowed whenever she past them.

The guards walked Julianna all the way over towards the table where the two chairs were as a servant pulled out the smaller chair of the two to allow Julianna to sit upon, which she did. 'Comfortable.' She thought to herself as the guards stood behind her now and a servant brought her over a goblet of wine, which she thanked him for. Her eyes gazed upon the dance floor now then trailed over every single person present. Whenever her eyes were placed on someone from Sliabh, she'd offer them a wave of her hand with a smile.

Before she actually started to mingle, she decided that it would be best to wait for her King, Maddox, since these were his people and he knew how to charm them. Julianna seen Jaxton and Elaisse then waved for them to come over towards her. She even eyed her brother, King Alister and his Queen, Mira then grabbed her goblet of wine and extended it out towards them as hello before she took a sip from it. Once Jaxton and Elaisse were in front of her, a smile couldn't help but form once again as she started to mutter towards them.

"Us, horses and the gardens. Tomorrow?" She questioned towards the duo as she wondered to herself how her ladies in waiting and Aedan were enjoying the festivities or better yet, where her ladies in waiting or Aedan were in this moment of time. Her eyes went back towards the dancers that graced the dance floor while she waited for a response from either Jaxton or Elaisse.

Qᴜᴇᴇɴ Mɪʀᴀ ᴏꜰ Sʟɪᴀʙʜ

Location; Kingdom of Abhainn's Ball
Interacting With; Her Husband - @Scarlet Loup Her Sister-in- Law - @HushedWhispers Her Children @Polaris North@FernStone

A small "ooh." followed by an "ahh." fell from Mira's lips as the explosives lit up the sky of Abhainn. The fireworks were very impressive, not matter how many time she had seen them. They hadn't much use of them back home, so they were a rare and beautiful site to see. You could tell this was a special event indeed. She stayed inside watching from the grand windows, not really wanting to be bothered by bugs or having to navigate an unfamiliar place in the dark.

Mira had stayed by her husband's side for most the morning, greeting old friends and new acquaintances alike. The two parted sometime in between as the men and women's conversation topics drifted off into unfamiliar territory. Mira spoke to women about the fate of Julianna- how her marriage would be, how many children she would bare, and if she would make a great queen. With the highest regards Mira praised her sister-in-law in all categories. "Though, I must say," Mira started "A woman chooses her own path. Her husband may run a kingdom, but his wife pulls the strings." Some of the women laughed as they covered their smiles by the woman's words. How daring of her! After Mira became bored of the small talk she viewed the castle's exterior and admired their gardens until the sun set.

"You're quite the handsome one, it'd be a shame for your wife to see us, alone."

Mira spoke as she approached her husband from behind, her small hand on the small of his back before she walked around him and showed her devious smile. He looked happy but she could tell the hint of worry and frustration was still in his eyes. She grabbed his hand and kissed the back of it gently, lovingly. "Did you see the fireworks? Quite impressive. When I was married to you, I think they shot a cow. What a difference in the times." she sighed as she looked around the grand ball room.

It was grand indeed.

Eventually Mira found herself at a table drinking her weight in wine. She nodded and lifted her glass back to Julianna as the woman did to her. She watched as the children were then met with their aunt "Teach them some manners my dear sister!" Mira called to her, her words slightly slurred, as she turned back to the decadent food and drinks that were being served.

Prince Jaxton Hardin of Sliabh

Location; Abhainn Ballroom
Interacting With; Princess Elaisse @FernStone, Lady Julianna @HushedWhispers

To say that Jaxton was pleased to get out of that certain area was an understatement. Getting away from all the nobles of Abhainn was a good thing. They were led to their chambers soon after, and understandably, his room was right next to his sister's and a room away from his parent's. The room they had provided for them was rather grand - something that was understandable considering their status as royals. Anything less would have been disrespectful. He was sure that his parents had an even more extravagant room than his. It made him uncomfortable, however, as this still wasn't his room that was decorated with various books about the history of the land and whatno, and trinkets he had received whenever he went out of town.

The room was unfamiliar, and it felt like he was entering unknown territory. He wasn't sure if he would be able to sleep comfortably in such a case. His eyes roamed the room. There was a single bookcase there that held rather interesting titles - but he will judge those later. Off to the side was the suit he will be wearing to the party later. Ah yes, the party. It shouldn't be too bad. All the focus would be on his parents and Lady Julianna, not him and Elaisee. "I have to brush up on my respectful speech. Mother will kill me if I don't." He muttered to himself with a light chuckle.

As the time of the party drew closer, he dressed himself rather quickly and made sure to make his unruly, curly hair as presentable as possible. He had no idea where he got this trait from, but he was pretty sure that his grandfather from his mother's side was at fault for it. Once done, he headed outside and noticed some of the guards posted near his parents' room. He waited there for a while before the rest of his family finally came out of their own rooms and then headed down the hall together - towards the ballroom.

His eyes gravitated outside when the fireworks had started, a smile on his face. It had been a while since he had seen fireworks, since they were very rare. Jaxton was beside his mother as they admired the light lighting up the night sky. The multitude of colored lights mixed with their presentation was amazing, and Jaxton felt like he wanted to see more when it had ended.

He made sure that he was beside Elaisse the whole time they were in that party. Jaxton knew how she hated being around crowds - and there were a lot of people in this party. Thankfully, they had juice being passed around for the younger ones and Jaxton quickly swiped two glasses from a passing waiter and then gave one to Elaisse. "Not alcohol, but I suppose it'll do the trick." He said with a rather light chuckle following it. He didn't need to stand stiffly and avoid speaking loudly now that they were here. While it would run the risk of people overhearing him, it wasn't exactly a bad thing now was it? As he suspected, not many had come to them and most were simply there to greet the young royals. After all, Jaxton was going to ascend to the throne at some point, hopefully, so might as well try to create relations now right?

Jaxton's eyes were drawn to their aunt just in time to see her motioning for them. He looked around uncertainly until he finally got that she was, as predicted, calling for them. "Well, let's see what our aunt wants from us." He told his sister as he placed his now empty glass onto a passing waiter's tray. He tugged on his sister's hand to make sure that she knew she should follow as well before making his way to where Lady Julianna had sat.

Before he could speak, however, he heard his mother's unmistakable voice call out to Lady Julianna, however, it wasn't as steady as usual. "She seems to have drunk quite a few, hasn't she? Should I be worried?" He muttered to those around him. Admittedly, however, it would be fun to see their mother letting her hair down. After all, she was rather stiff and it may be good for her to loosen up.

He then looked back at Lady Julianna and then said, "You look beautiful, Aunt Julia. Is that a gift from King Maddox?" It certainly wasn't anything he has seen before, though this was just guessing so far. He wasn't exactly knowledgeable about the undoubtedly large wardrobe that his aunt had. His lips formed a grin when she mentioned her plans for the three of them tomorrow. "I'd be down for that. It's high time I enjoyed the view of Abhainn. How about you Ela?" He turned to his sister. Should she refuse, he would have to do so as well. While it was fine back in their kingdom, Jaxton wasn't exactly comfortable in letting his sister wander around alone - even if it was in the confines of her own room - when it came to the kingdom they hadn't even visited before.

Lady in Waiting, Amaranthea Ashwood

Location; Her Chambers ~ Abhainn Ballroom.
Interacting With; Servant

That Afternoon, Amaranthea had enjoyed spending some time with Lord Aedan. The pair seemed to have quite a bit to talk about. She asked a little bit about Sliabh, if anything had changed. Whilst Amara has grown accustomed to Abhainn, as her home now. She often thought about Sliabh. She missed her former home at times..all the people that still lived there. Oddly enough, she sometimes missed even the cooler weather. Not that, Abhainn was too hot. Amara at times, just preferred the coolness that Sliabh offered. It had always kept her cool.

But the pair soon had to part; knowing there'd be more time to converse during the evening's celebrations.

When the evening arrived; everyone was getting ready for the ball. Amaranthea had been in her own chambers; after she had checked up on Julianna. Trying to make sure, her new chambers were to her liking. As well as helping her set out a few things, to help her get ready. But her Lady, had sent her off to get ready. As well as Evangeline. She didn't find her Mistress on it. Simply done as she was told. Besides; she too herself needed to clean herself up.

Amara was looking through her wardrobe. When there came a knock on the door. "Come on in." Amaranthea called softly. One of the maidens, that Julianna had sent walked into her room. She curtsied greeting Amara. "My lady, her highness Julianna sent me, to check on you." she smiled warmly at Amara. Amara smiled to herself softly. That did sound like Julianna for sure. Amaranthea was rather grateful for that.

"That's very kind of you." Amara told her softly. The young maid, drew her a warm bath. Setting out fresh towels and soaps for the Lady in Waiting. Before picking out a hairpiece, that Amara had liked. Of course, with Amara's approval. Soon enough, the young lady was soaking in the bath-tub. Feeling the warm water, wrap around her. Soaking her muscles. It made her feel refreshed. The soaps smelled of Levander. The young maid, helped wash her back. Before washing her hair.

Once Amaranthea was all washed. She stepped out of the tub. Beginning to dry herself off...the young maiden that was helping her, was drying her hair. The young lady in waiting, then proceed to get dressed. She wore a beautiful dress. It was off red color, with golden and dark patterns. It was one of Amara's favorites; one that she always saved for special celebrations and occasions. The corest beneath was tight, but she was used to it.

"That dress looks beautiful, my lady." The servant complimented with a soft smile. "Why thank you. I do love it myself." Amara replied with a warm smile, as she felt the servant begin to brush her hair. The young maiden, styled her dark raven locks, into an elegant hairstyle. Before lightly placing the hairpiece, into her thick locks to complete the style.

It wasn't long after that; that Amara was all done. She was feeling clean, refreshed and looked ready. "Thank you for your service. You may go now." Amaranthea smiled kindly at the young girl; letting her go about her business. The young maiden, curtsied to her before leaving the Lady in waiting. She herself than began to make her way towards the Ballroom. On her way, she stopped. Hearing the sound of the fireworks. She admired the spectacle from the window..the aray of color. She smiled softly. Abhainn did pull of spectacular fireworks, from what she had seen.

She smiled to herself. A few nobles had spotted her, offering her a kind smile. Amaranthea had smiled at the Nobles; a warm gentle smile. She then walked into the ball-room. Taking everything in, but looking for Lady Julia. Or at least, someone she knew. Amara had still been longing to catch up with a few people from Sliabh. Looking around the grand-ball room; Amara soon spotted her Mistress over with Prince Jaxton and Princess Elaisse. Amara made her way across the ball room, towards the trio.

Princess Elaisse Hardin of Sliabh

Location; Abhainn Ballroom
Interacting With; Lady Julianna {@HushedWhispers}, Prince Jaxton {@Polaris North}, Lady Amaranthea {@WolfLover}

While Elaisse was happy to get away from the introductions outside and to some much needed time for herself, she still felt a certain amount of nerves. The room she had been given was nice, of course, as befitting of one of her status. But it was still a new and unknown place. It had been but a day and she already missed Sliabh, with her room filled with books and sketches strewn everywhere (much to her mother and maids dismay).

Not to mention the party coming up. It would be more tolerable, at least, and she was sure she’d find an excuse to retire early. But it wasn’t something she looked forward to. Still, she allowed a handmaiden to help her change into a more appropriate dress when the time came. She was just glad to be going with her family rather than alone. Jaxton would be there with her.

Some of her fear was lost at the fireworks, her eyes widening and a slight gasp escaping her lips. They were so beautiful! She could not remember the last time that she had seen this kind of thing. They were rare, after all. She only wished that she’d been able to capture them on paper.

“Ah, thank you,” Ela smiled as she accepted the juice Jaxton handed to her. She was glad he was staying with her – there were so many people around that she knew she wouldn’t be able to handle it herself. And hopefully he would be able to take brunt of any conversation that came their way.

She looked a bit confused when their aunt called both of them over, but followed Jaxton over when he made it obvious she should go to. “Oh no… I hope that mother is less harsh on us if she’s drunk,” Ela couldn’t help but laugh quietly at the state their mother was already in. “Though maybe she’ll just be more honest…” Either way it didn’t mean she would act in a way her mother wouldn’t approve of.

Ela smiled at her Aunt, listening quietly while fiddling with a loose strand of hair. She was certainly as beautiful as Jaxton said – the dress just enhanced what she was normally like, anyway. The thought of going to the gardens was a nice one. It was better than hiding in the room given to her or being forced into something social by her mother, as she was sure would happen.

“I like the sound of it,” Ela responded softly. “I want to see Abhainn too. I’m sure there will be many new things for me to sketch!” If she brought her sketchbook out she’d be able to spend the time quietly, not necessarily socialising if she didn’t want to. And she knew her brother well enough that he would probably not go if she didn’t. She didn’t want to be the reason he didn’t go and enjoy himself.

“Hopefully our parents won’t get too angry when we do.” As she added her last thought Ela noticed Amaranthea making her way over to the three of them. She gave the Lady in Waiting a slightly wave, nervous but friendly. It would be fine if she joined their conversation – though any more people and Ela wouldn’t be comfortable with it.
