I unironically enjoy calm acoustic country music as a sense of ambiance. Perhaps there is a certainly familiarity to it that it evokes that acts just as it should on my emotion and impression, but it is a very specific and unlikely thing to enjoy.

Some people are into public displays of affection. I'm not. I'm the guy who sees anything more than a hug or hand-holding and wants to bash them in the face with a brick. Repeatedly.

When public displays of animosity are preferred over public displays of affection.

I am exceptionally influenced by music, exposure to which can change my mood and demeanor in short order. As such, I need avoid certain genres unless I wish to feel a particular way; even just overhearing them in proximity can sway me. As such, it is entirely true music can soothe the savage beast, although in the reverse it can provoke an unneeded sense of aimless hostility or anxiety, just as it can evoke blinding nostalgia or lament. My relationship with music as a result of this is particularly mixed.
