Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn stood in the throne room, next to her mother her eyes staring up at the rather large man with blonde hair, she watched as Lochilla kneeling down before him. Addressing him as king and her brother, giving her a little bit of a confused look, she never really did mention her having an uncle really. Her eyes looked down at the sword in her hand when Thor got up off of his throne and then started to approach the two of them. Torunn took a slight step back, she was still confused with everything that was going on and then he was standing right before her.

Torunn looked even more confused when Thor addressed her as his daughter, she stared at him she never really knew about her father, and her eyes turned to Lochilla who had been her mother over the last several years growing up. "I really don't know you, or what is going on.." Torunn said, she just wanted to go back home and have a normal life again she wasn't even sure what he wanted her to even do she never knew who her father actually was and not to suddenly come here and be expected something more of her.

"It is reason to say that you are confused, and you have the right. She never told you about me, Torunn, but as your aunt has said, I am your father. Sif...is your mother", the blonde man said to her, having to continue giving off the gaze that consisted of fierceness and gentleness. His imposing height made him all the more mysterious to the girl. "I am sure that my dear sister learned her lesson about siding with dark powers", he said, looking over at Lochila, whose eyes were off to the side, avoiding his gaze. He looked back at the girl before him. "But, I summoned you back, because it is crucial and for your own protection". Lochila was indeed avoiding the gaze of her older brother, having to show her normal state of submission whenever she was around her much-more powerful sibling. His very strength alone wasn't to be handled, alone and, knowing full well about his heroic endeavors across the Nine Realms, the Goddess of Mischief couldn't question his very might, nor of his role as now-king. "I did what you said. But even you knew better than to tell me to lie; you'd be no better than our father", this caused the blonde man to look at her. "I didn't want her to make the same mistakes as I did", he told her, having to keep the dark-haired goddess at bay, and understand his actions.

Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn looked at Thor, she still wasn't sure what kind of protection she needed, she was living a rather normal and uneventful life back home. She crossed her arms over her chest, while looking over at Lochilla who was apparently her aunt which she wasn't even sure what to believe anymore. She knew her entire life, and she still considered her as her mother, then turned her attention back towards Thor mentioning Sif being her mother.

"What do I need protection from? If you were my father then you should have been there for me anyway, why out of the blue suddenly come here?" Torunn asked, she wanted to just simply go back home and back to her normal life as well, and wanted to wish that this was all still some weird and crazy dream as well.

"Torunn...", Lochila softly said, from the side, trying to assure her, and give heed to her impending anger. The only response she got, was the teenager's insistence for answers. From there, Lochila went into silence, really expecting her brother to give what information that his daughter wanted to know. "As much as I want to keep you away from the place of your birth, which is no-less dangerous than that of Midgard, word of instability and unrest has been given across the Nine Realms", Thor explained; all-the-while, keeping an eye on his adoptive sister, who only continued to keep her eyes down, as if her punishment still persists.
The dark-haired goddess didn't so much as look up at her brother, although she did give herself some courage to give him a glance. "Brother, please", she pleaded. "Punishment was brought down upon your so-called 'mother', after she sided with her malignant trickster of a twin brother", he began to explain, anger lingering in his voice. "So, we sent her to Earth, with you, in her arms, to serve time for being a traitor to the throne", Thor was clearly unimpressed by the very topic. "It wasn't my fault; I was tricked! I've already told you this!", Lochila told him, upset by the unfairness behind the said-punishment, in the first place.

Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn looked towards her mother, or apparently aunt she still wasn't sure but she still viewed Lochilla as her actual mother who had raised her since she was little. She turned her attention over towards Thor as he spoke, she wasn't sure she even wanted protection her life was pretty normal up until now when the sword came through the sky and the weird electrical problems as well. "I don't get why I was still taken away in the first place. That doesn't even seem like a punishment at all to me in my opinion." Torunn said crossing her arms over her chest while looking over towards Lochilla as she spoke up again and turned to look at Thor.

Torunn heard Lochilla speak and wanted to hear her side of the story. "What happened, and who tricked you in the first place?" Torunn asked, she wanted to get as much answers as she could. "And I still don't get why you suddenly bring me here I was completely safe at home."

Lochila looked to the side with shame in her eyes, once Thor glanced at her with contempt and disbelief. "It was a punishment, used for centuries, in the attempt of subduing the arrogance and pride of us gods, in the hope of making us more human, like those on Midgard. Such arrogance can make us threats to the human race -- if not, to the Nine Realms. Before I became king, when I was still in my years of young and stupid, I was sent down to Earth by our father Odin", the blonde man explained. before looking back at his daughter. "We feared that arrogance to rise within my own bloodline, so I sent you there, aligned with Lochila's exile, where you would grow to be humble, and filled with the humility of your ties with godhood. Until it is safe to return, you are to remain here, until the threat is dealt with. I'm sorry for my absence, but it is only necessary".

"Remember the 'uncle' I mentioned to you about, Torunn?", Lochila asked her, from the side. "My 'twin brother', is Loki, the bringer of chaos; the family's adopted snake; a liar, filled to the brim with venom. He is the last living organism in the cosmos to ever trust. As his twin, I am his benevolent counterpart", taking a sigh, she approached the blonde girl. "Your uncle -- adopted uncle -- came to me, one day, swearing up and down that we were being kept as trophies of the throne. Adopted from another realm called Jotunheim, we were taken in by Odin, at a young age. Asgard and Jotunheim were at war at the time we were found. Raised alongside them, we thought of truly being part of the family, but then, my brother was convinced that we were never going to be favored, because of how different we were. After our father went into temporal shutdown, he came up with a plan: We were to kill our own race, in order to prove our worth. We almost succeeded, until your father came and stopped us. In the end, I learned that it was all part of Loki's plan to be better than all of us, combined. So, he became imprisoned for eternal life, while I was sent away with you in my arms".

Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn looked at Thor and then at Lochilla as they both told her, as she tried to process everything as well she still couldn't help but feel lied to her entire life. The man was actually her father, she still felt more like she had a normal life before all of this as well to, as she listened to her father, as he explained his exile. Then mentioning her twin brother who was also her uncle and knew that he wasn't really around growing up either.

"So my 'uncle' tried killing a bunch of his people, and then you helped or tried to help him, and then you were exiled and I was taken with you to be raised as a normal person then?" Torunn asked looking at the two of them, her life felt normal to her all up until yesterday when her powers came out, and then the sword coming out of the sky as well. "What kind of threats going on right now then that brought me here?"

"The last thing I wanted, was for my child to grow up; to be like the man I once was, before I learned my lesson", Thor was remarkably patient with his words, despite how imposing and dormant aggressive he was, up to the point where he was taking his daughter's words into account. "I also wanted you to be safe, Torunn, so I felt that it was the perfect time for you to grow in a place where you would become one of Asgard's most beautiful and humble. Your aunt, or the one you call 'mother'-", he began to say, contempt lingering in his voice.

"-was naive, at the time, brother!", she spat at him, not even wanting him to finish the sentence, of which she can sense being filled with disappointment. "Please don't rub it in, anymore", Lochila clearly didn't want to hear such harsh words. "I truly thought he was right. I thought we truly were suffering. He got into my head! It was only a matter of time that, despite what we were, we were still accepted by this family!"

Ignoring her, Thor turned his attention back to the blonde girl. "Our father's hold on the gates of the banished, are waning. We don't know who may come through those gates, which is why you are to remain here, until we can find a hold".

Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn looked over at her mother which she still considered her as her mother who was the one who had brought her up, she turned to look over at Thor again. "Look, I don't know all of the exact details, and I probably don't really want to know either honestly, but she was the one who has raised me the last few years. I think she deserves the respect, and my mom has learned her lesson." Torunn said looking up at him, as she looked down at Lochilla and smiled at her softly.

"So, if we are to stay here, what do I have to do?" Torunn asked, as she looked over at the sword still in her hand, she was curious what to actually do in the first place, she didn't even know what to do here at all either and where she would even be staying as well.

Lochila looked at the floor for a moment, until she heard the voice of her "daughter" quickly come to her defense. It was a rather surprising lash, as Torunn wasn't normally the kind of person to raise her voice, or be outright direct. However, Torunn's sentiment was feirce, when it came to the people that she loved and cherished dearly, the dark-haired goddess knew better to step in the blonde, and those she befriends and/or deeply regards; the very thought making Lochila give her a fond smile, and gave a nod of thanks.
"If anybody knew any hostility, then they would assume me or Loki to be doing this, but my twin's magic is subdued yet we are not strong enough to do this", the goddess pointed out to the thunder god, having to already deduce that neither the twins had the power to induce such things, especially if such things are under the control of Odin. "I wish to keep Torunn in my charge, if it's not too much, brother. She would feel more at peace here, if she were in the presence of someone she is familiar with", she said, although it was a rather hesitant request.
The man looked at his younger sister. "I suppose you did learn your lesson, but I have a request of my own. Watch her", he was direct with it, having to keep his gaze on the goddess, before looking over at his daughter. "Lochila will show you to your quarters. In the meantime, you can perhaps learn our ways".

Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn looked down at Lochilla and gave her a loving smile, though she was still more than annoyed that she had not been told this entire life as long as she had known her. She gave Thor a slight nod she did want to know more what her actual family is like and wanted to learn more as well. "Sounds good to me then." Torunn said, as a thought crossed her mind that Lochilla wasn't actually her mother and she was curious as well but decided to not ask that now.

She was glad that she would still be by her mother's side and she did want to learn more from her, she trusted her more even if she hadn't told her any of this before either. "Where will we be staying?" Torunn finally asked, wanting to know where she would actually be sleeping as well for who knows how long here as well.

Lochila Laufeysdottir

With a sigh of relief, Lochila acted quickly, gesturing to the blonde girl to follow her, by the time she started walking. She couldn't help the fact that she was being watched from behind, and that from her own instincts alone, the dark-haired goddess didn't turn around, and kept walking. She really didn't want to be directed by her brother, any more than she had to, so she kept herself quiet, until she and Torunn reached another hallway. It was then that she finally managed to breathe properly. However, by the time they made it, a flash of light crossed Torunn's vision; a transparent image of a man with raven-hair, and donned with black robes, walking by. He turned back to look at her, smiling "kindly", before disappearing through a wall. Lochila failed to catch it, as it moved too fast. But it only seemed to slow down for Torunn, in time for her to see it completely.
Opening a pair of doors, the dark-haired woman revealed a bedroom, complete with a queen-sized bed, light curtains, and metallic flooring. It seemed to be covered, head to toe, with gold. "I think this will do nicely. How do you feel about seeing our library?", she said, turning to her.

Torunn Thorsdottir

As Torunn walked alongside Lochilla she looked around seeing the architecture was actually really cool, as she adjusted the sword in her hand slightly. It still felt a little bit weird to her holding a weapon like a sword, but it felt like it really did belong to her actually as she continued to walk. Tournn paused as she saw a flash of light appear in front of her, seeing a dark haired man staring and smiling at her, before disappearing into a nearby wall. She paused looking a little bit confused, as she started to lag behind somewhat before shaking her head a little bit and quickly went to catch up to Lochilla.

As the doors opened to the bedroom she looked around and admired the room, it looked really nice actually as she walked around the room seeing the bed. She turned to face her mother completely forgetting about the strange man who had appeared in front of her Lochilla offering to show her the library. "I'd like that a lot actually." She said giving her a smile.

Lochila Laufeysdottir

The rest of the day went by, swimmingly, and Lochila used everything in her power to ensure it stayed that way. If Thor was right...if the gates of Asgard was indeed waning, then the dark-haired woman stayed by Torunn's side, as much as possible. However, if she were truly vigilant, she wouldn't have missed the constant appearances of a tall, pale man with raven hair, who appeared before the blonde haired girl, whenever Lochila's back was turned. Even when she showed Torunn the library, his very silhouette lurked - following; watching. Since magic was a very common thing, Lochila could feel it, everywhere. She just didn't know who was wielding it. In this case, the wielder seemed to only appear before Torunn. All day, the goddess showed her - no, not daughter - her niece, around the palace, including the catacombs, the vault, and the medical bay. By all accounts, Lochila avoided the dungeons. Perhaps another day, she would show her the outskirts of the kingdom.

However, little did Lochila know that the silhouette of her brother was already acting on enticing the blonde to give into her curiosity. When the evening came, that same male figure appeared before Torunn, once more.
