Romulan: Rator
Rank:
Starfleet Rank: Commander
Star empire: Commander
Age: 150, appears to be in his 20s/30s
Race:
Romulan/Vulcan
Role:
First Officer
Physical Description
Personality:
Vetek is a star empire operative he has two personalities.
Even though Vetek is part Vulcan he doesn't have the mental and emotional discipline that of the typical Vulcan. His real personality he is a very proud person. he doesn't like failure, it is one of his faults, another is he is a very moral person. Which cause himself a lot of inner conflict. Between doing what is right and what he must for the Romulan star empire.
Vetek's other personality is that of a typical vulcan. controlling their emotions, speaking that of the logical thing to do.
Before StarFleet:
Vetek or rather Rator was born on Romulus, his mother a prisoner on Romulas and father being a Romulan commander. Vetek raised under the Star empire and he became a covert spy specialist. With the DNA that of a Vulcan he can pass as a Vulcan even more than most other Romulans. Having the rank of Commander within the star empire
Most of his missions were to infiltrate and bring intel back to the star empire. His most recent mission a deep undercover mission. Sent into Starfleet to relay information back to the Star Empire. To keep the Empire informed on further technological advances within starfleet and any information that keeps the Romulans within knowledge of the on goings of the Federation.
Experience in Starfleet :
Vetek's Starfleet experience, his deep undercover started as a normal academy cadet he had to work to get where he was. To deepen his cover story and have an actual Starfleet record. He graduated at the top of his class but below average for most Vulcans.
Vetek personally requested to be put on a star ship of exploration specialising in weapons and security. Getting to know a lot of the Federation security codes and what the weapons are capable of and getting to know all the further advancements of weapons on star ships. Getting a first officer seat on a ship was the best postion he could have gotten without being a captain. Getting more of star fleet's codes and getting a major postion within a starship. Vetek also takes a bit of pride in being able to become a first officer. Even though this is only for his deep undercover role it was an accomplishment for him to achieve this spot.

"I don't care if you like me or not, now leave me in peace before one of two things happens: First you end up in Sickbay with radiation burns from this console I'm trying to repair or second you end up in Sickbay with multiple fractures to your face." - Simia K'laa
Name: Simia K'laa
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Age: 27
Race: Human/Klingon (Klingon Father and Human Mother)
Gender: Male
Role: Chief Engineering Officer
Physical Description:
Height: 196cm (6'4")
Weight: 102kg (224lbs)
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Skin tone: Dark skinned though paler than some Klingons due to his split heritage.
Physique: Muscular and heavily built both from his heritage and from years of heavy lifting where equipment failed on his last ship. He is a formidable prescence even to those who know him well.
Personality: Easily irritated and abrasive in most cases, Simia is not an easy person to get to know and he has little time for anybody, preferring to play or tinker with some idea or concept. Should you break through this exterior though, he is a kind and considerate friend and in a fight he will always back his crew with his full force and, though he is loathe to admit his Klingon side, satisfaction. Since he focusses most of his time in engineering he doesn't appear anywhere else unless he's got a bone to pick with someone or needs to fix something. However many Klingons mock him for being so different to them. He wasn't brought up with many of their customs and feels out of place in both worlds not a bridge across the two.
Before Starfleet: Born of a union between a Klingon and a Human, Simia was always destined to be an outcast. Due to the uneasy peace between the two peoples he was largely distrusted and bullied in his youth by both sides due to this split heritage. He once fought back and received such a bad beating from those tormenting him that he spent a few days in intensive care. Once fully recovered he sought out and challenged each to combat however. Simia did not win every one of those fights but he did gain some respect from the Klingons for it even though his own respect for them was reduced. After this he was taken with his mother and raised on Earth, only returning once to Qo'noS to fulfill the Rites of Ascension. When he reached 16 years of age he applied to Starfleet and was rejected initially, it was on his second attempt when he reached 18 that he was accepted finally.
Starfleet Career:
In the Academy, Simia was an odd figure, he drew people towards him even though he tried to separate himself from them all, not all of these people wished him well though, much like in his youth he was often cursed at and occasionally attacked. He gave as good and often better than he got though. A Klingon was an odd sight in Star Fleet after all, but his test scores were brilliant, better than even those against him could argue against. His grasp of the mechanics and theory behind starships garnered him particular success and helped him coast his way past the subjects he was lacking in. Once a subject grabbed his attention he was known to focus on only that until it was complete or "defeated" as he often put it.
Eventually he graduated as 500 of 1486 people. Not a place of note but this was due to his lacking in other areas. He tried for a long time to find a decent ship posting until eventually an older captain with an older ship, Miranda Class, offered him a spot on his boat. "Keep my baby running and you'll reap the rewards, young man." This was the captain of the Indefatigable, and for the next 5 years, his father figure. He worked his ass off during this time, always being pushed by his captain until he worked his way up through the ranks, earning them and many distinctions in starship theory and application even on such an outdated piece of equipment. Unfortunately, just when he had set his eyes on becoming the first officer, thinking he might be ready, the ship was set for decommission.
Simia had kept that old bucket of bolts running way past it's decomissioning date however it wasn't built to last as long as it did, a testament to Simia and his team's skill, it was finally sent to be decommissioned. Her captain, Cpt. D. Adams put in the good word for his Chief Engineer to be transferred to a top of the line ship and he was granted a place on the U.S.S Grandeur as Chief Engineer.
Name:
Falkvord Anders
Rank:
Ensign
Age:
19
Race:
Nordic Human
Role:
Helmsman
Physical Description:
Falkvord stands a generous 6'5" though carries little weight on his bones. Hawkish grey eyes reside in his tall skull separated by a straight, angular nose. Concave cheeks give way to a sharp, slim jawline and jutting chin. Thin blonde hair covers his scalp, bordering on white in fairness, already beginning to recede from the front where a clean parting is combed to the back and sides. His mouth fits the rest of his sharp, thin visage though his teeth could use some work. His posture is often open and rich in vigour.
Personality:
Quick of wit, observant and an absolute fanatic behind the helm, Anders finds himself quite comfortable being the centre of attention, though he doesn't speak much more than needed instead preferring to focus at whatever task may be at hand. His comments can come off as abrasive at times and even a little juvenile, but his dependability and actions speak louder than his calm, careful tones. Stress appears to run off the youthful lad at a worrying rate, creating an illusion of lethargic apathy, a stark contrast to his near constantly-analytical and persistent mind. If curiosity killed the cat, then Anders was already on his second life.
Background before joining star Fleet:
Falkvord grew up in his home on Earth, a modest place set away from the urban backdrop of any major cities in the northern regions of Scandinavia. It wasn't until his mid teens that Falkvord showed any signs of having potential for his current role as Helmsman on the USS Grandeur. A disagreement with his teachers led to the snarky young lad suddenly refusing to study, a problem which had previously never plagued the boy's school career. No amount of pleading or punishment would see the icy Anders return to his studies, leaving him graded far below his expected potential. No longer destined to the bright future his parents had hoped for him, Falkvord began a series of outrageous expeditions into the unknown that now shrouded his future.
Spending much of his time hopping between menial jobs and hanging around outside local bars, Falkvord's future showed little sign of recovery until he fell into conversation with an aspirational Star Fleet Academy student. The idea of applying to such a prestigious organisation had been considered mere fantasy until then when a series of recruiting propaganda was placed before him on an outside table of Hel's Hammer one chilly autumn night. The following day his application was in and without too much care from his folks, used to to his lofty and outlandish ideas, his new journey began.
Experience in Starfleet:
Anders had never considered the idea of becoming a pilot of any sort, but the sheer romance of it all was enough to probe him into occupying the simulators at the academy after his surprise acceptance. Other matters of study were readily pushed aside in order to free up an extra hour or two to study spaceflight in greater detail and later practice it on the simulator. It was a rocky start, but fascination drove the young lad to fanaticism to the point where he was allowed to progress to helmsman selection without formally completing previous training as required by students, such was his ability after only a few short months. As a result, he lacked favour with senior academics of the institution and became something of a public enemy amongst students for his seemingly easy-way-out politics. Only when he graduated with something of a record score (and begrudgingly accepted into the hall of fame by senior staff) was any shadow of doubt removed over the young man's credibility.
Now thrust into the line of duty, Anders is forced to comprehend the enormous change of pace that his life has taken over such a brief period. His first assignment is to the brand new exploration vessel USS Grandeur, a post recommended by his flying instructor turned close friend Albert Hofmann.

”Success is the path to Stagnation and Failure the Teacher of Innovation”
-Jinn Cloudborn-
-Jinn Cloudborn-
Name: Jinn Cloudborn
Rank: Lieutenant
Age: 26
Race: Human/Heran
Role: Tactical & Security (Head of Department)
Physical Description:
Height: 1.9 (6’3”)
Weight: 74 (163)
Hair: Strawberry Blonde falling to the middle of her back
Eyes: Grey-Green
Body Type: Mesomorph
Personality: Thoughtful and Self-Controlled Jinn carries herself with an almost regal bearing sans the superiority of ego. Athletic and Graceful she presents herself as always prepared for any situation that requires a physical response. Analytical in even the most casual of settings she seems almost Vulcan except for her clear display of surface emotions though those are almost always under tight control. Anger and Disapproval are rare displays but when Jinn does allow such they are of Legendary levels her anger Volcanic and her disapproval frigid and palpable.
Background: Jinn was born on the Planet Hera and like many from that world viewed with some degree of suspicion due to its connections as a colony world of the Augments that left Earth in 2073 lead by the Heran Modality.
Her mother is Heran and her father a Federation Diplomat which marked her as a departure from the local custom of selective breeding and labeling her as a Ranac (Random Accident).
As a Ranac Jinn had to work that much harder in her youth to prove her right to exist by developing a focus and will that made her frightening among her own people. She learned many techniques of memory and physical control by studying the teaching methods of the Vulcans at the Federation Embassy even gaining a mentor named T’seret a Vulcan Science Academy observer and friend of her father’s.
She didn’t seek to become a human follower of Surak but to become a better Heran in the hope that she wouldn’t fall behind those of more self-controlled parents who had the advantage of generations of genetic control and direction only to discover that she had in her own way become something new.
Her mental abilities are the result of Vulcan teaching techniques which her mother a research scientist helped her with in an effort to show that her daughter was a valuable genetic line which should be explored and encouraged. Jinn excelled at sports though physically weaker than pure blood Herans by developing new and novel approaches to any obstacles and pushing herself three times as hard becoming more than any expected of what was basically a genetic sport.
Experience: Jinn was accepted on her first try to Star Fleet because of her test scores and the support of her Mentor T’seret.
Recruited by Red Squad Jinn turned them down instead seeking out others in the Academy who she shared an outsider trait with among their own people which were at first named the Misfits as a humorist dig and adopted as a badge of honor by her group who approached every unit task using novel and sometimes disastrous results.
Graduating 123rd out of 1,200 placed Jinn near the upper 10% and assured she would be a desirable and attainable new crew member at 21 years old her first ship assignment was aboard the NCC - Beagle (Oberth Class) as Assistant Tactical Head because of her scores and the small size of the staff aboard the Science vessel.
Reassigned to New Caledon Garrison after the near destruction of the Beagle after receiving the KOH (Karagite Order of Heroism) Jinn was made Garrison Tactical Officer where she languished for the last 2 years before being assigned to the NCC- Grandueur
Name: Aria Tyr
Rank: Lieutenant
Age: 32 (Symbiont: 211)
Race: Trill (Joined)
Role: Chief Medical Officer
Height: 1.7 meters (5’7”)
Weight: 59 Kg (131 lbs)
Hair: Auburn; Mid-shoulder blade length
Eyes: Jade
Aria has a lithe gymnast's body; However the apparent softness belies the compact muscles that rest beneath. She walks with a dancer's grace, and usually wears a soft smile. Generally her hair matches the situation she finds herself, and can be used to discern her mood. When off duty and relaxed her hair is generally loose. While on duty or focused Aria gathers her hair into a loose ponytail (like the one pictured above.) As the situation grows more intense her hair is gathered into a tight pony tail, or bun.
Personality: Before becoming joined Aria was most often described as intense or focused. She intended to be the best she could be at whatever task she applied herself, and often came across as very by the book. Underneath the focus was a warm hearted, outgoing and friendly personality; One that received little exposure before the Joining.
The Aria that emerged from the operating room however was completely different. The focus and drive was still present however it was softened by a friendlier presence. One as ready with a quip as she used to be with a bland response. Aria became a bit of a social butterfly after becoming a host.
Background before joining Starfleet: Aria’s parents had plans for their daughter. Her father was passed over for joining, and her mother dreamt of becoming an Initiate but was unable to pass the entrance exams. Thus Aria was pushed by her parents to excel in all things.
Many of Aria’s childhood dreams were abandoned in the quest for her parents approval. However one interest persisted throughout her life, space and its mysteries. She pursued knowledge from and about other cultures. Aria’s parents, having pushed her to be in peak condition, both physically and mentally; Gave into their daughters curiosity when she begged them to allow her to learn the Vulcan martial art of Suus Mahna.
As she grew older her love for all things space related grew, and she made a discovery she saw as fortuitous. Much of what the Symbiosis Commission looked for in their initiates was the same as what Starfleet looked for in their officers. Aria had found a goal that ran parallel to he parents hopes for her. Aria took her tests to become a candidate for joining after she completed the Starfleet Academy Preparatory Program.
Experience in Starfleet: Aria did very little socializing at the Academy. Most of her time was dedicated to studying. Either for her three majors at the academy, xenomedicine, xenolinguistics and exoarchaeology, or for the tests required by the Trill Symbiosis Commission. The sole exception was the European Swordsmanship club, which she co-captained. Her academic scores caused Aria to be actively recruited by the various elite cadet squadrons. Ending up in Zeta Squad, because another member was in the swordsmanship club with her; Aria received special classes and advanced field training.
Aria was evaluated by a Trill field docent a month before graduation. The docent felt the young initiate was cold, however because of Aria’s focus he thought it was a result of the school's enviroment; And thus gave a glowing recommendation. She graduated 76th in her class of 1400, with an academic degree in each of her majors. The day she was to pick her assignment she received word that she had been selected to join with a symbiont; And so Aria selected a class that offered her leave before having to report. Aria Tyr reported to Starfleet Medical Academy a changed woman.
Tyr was more outgoing then she was previously and was more then willing to push herself beyond the standard curriculum. She was drawn to the engineering extension courses the academy offered and started a swordmanship club at SMA with the idea of eventually having competitions with the club from Starfleet Academy. Her focused drive remained and she worked hard on her studies. With the exception of her showy way of twirling her medical tools, her instructors were impressed with her skills. Aria graduated as valedictorian of her class; Her commencement speech extolled on the virtues of dedication, study, and making time for fun.
Her first assignment was the USS Heinlein (NCC - 21018) an Ambassador class cruiser. Their deployment was typical. The one exception was when the Heinlein responded to a freighters distress signal. Breen raiders caused heavy damage to the federation cruiser before they were driven off. The Heinlein’s Chief Medical Officer was severely injured in the attack, and Tyr stepped up. She quickly organized the remaining medical staff to deal with the influx of injuries, from the freighter as well as from her ship. She set up additional medical facilities in a cargo bay and was personally responsible for saving the life of the Heinlein’s first officer.
The Heinlein was sent to Starbase Sierra where she began her repairs. Lieutenant Tyr was awarded the Star Cross for her efforts during the engagement with the raiders. She was also recommended for advancement to Lieutenant Commander and was made eligible for transfer. She selected the newly commissioned, and received orders to meet them at Alpha Centuri where she will embark and take the role of Chief Medical Officer.

Juvum, Seth
Captain, USS Grandeur
Seth Juvum is a 40 year old, Half-Bajoran, Half-Human who was born without knowing his race's enslavement. 2332, he was born on Luna, Earth's moon. His mother, Christine Juvum, was human, and he never knew his father- Sholan Juvum. His mother fled Bajor after getting 'caught' in the occupation and presumed dead, until she got a distress call out to the federation. They demanded her release, and the Cardassians ultimately let her go. Unknown to everyone aside from Christine and Sholan, she was pregnant.
Growing up wasn't too hard for Seth or Christine. The federation provided everything a young boy needed- hobbies, exercise, and perhaps a bit too much education. At age 19, he learned and truly understood what it was to be Bajoran. His entire kind was enslaved, and Starfleet could do nothing about it.
He was frustrated. Angry. Disappointed. Depressed. He ignored his studies and did personal research into Bajoran culture, soon learning about his religious heritage. Seth then crafted his own earring around this time. He quickly engrossed himself in the practices, and decided that he could only do so much praying. At age 22, Seth enrolled at Starfleet academy, determined to make a difference in the world.
He refused special treatment in any way- he did not accept specialized classes, and did not attend any clubs. Every spare moment he wasn't being taught or was studying was spent researching Bajoran and Cardassian culture and history. He graduated 438th out of 1300 in his class, assigned to a science vessel as it's pilot. He strove for excellence, even in a limited job like that, hoping to become an admiral and do something for his people.
He never got his chance however- during his first command on a deep space science vessel, the USS Ferox, he heard of Bajor's liberation. He spent the next few days slacking in his duties, until his first officer gave him a pep talk. He then realized that although Bajor was free, there was much in terms of recovery and healing. He continued his work with a new drive, and was commended on his work when he returned from the assignment.
Seth's next assignment- captain the USS Grandeur.
Appearence:
The nose ridges are less prominent, but still discernible on his ever determined face. His reddish hair is short, only a half-dozen centimeters long or so. Seth stands at 5'9" with perfect posture. His eyes are light brown, and his build is lean, but not unhealthy. His Bajoran earring hangs from his left ear, and he has special permission to wear it by Starfleet command.
Quick note: the Ferox was not his first assignment as captain. He's had two previous commands- the USS Shokin, and the USS Fearless.
This is a list of important NPCs I will not tell personalities or data that has to be found out....
