Albion – ie: the United Kingdoms of the Britons, Irish, and Pictish mirrors the real world decently enough. It has had a strong king and probably the oldest ruling dynasty. Same naming conventions of prominent families continue to be welsh (brittonic/brythonic), pictish, scottish, irish, and such. I'm not sure if as such would be the best choice. Latin conventions are pretty simple to figure out.

You picked a French given name and a Latin-esque surname so I would guess the southern counties Vannetais or the northwestern duchies of the Roman Republic would work. That is just what comes to mind. Both have no representation on the character pool end.

@Inkarnate

If I picked Albion and just changed her surname to reflect this, would that just work. Sounds much simpler.

Well, we can always assume that any family naming oddities could come from a family that has roots outside of any given nation but has been living there for a time. And since the British have a love hate relationship with the French, she probably could have a foreigner parent that chose to give her a foreign sounding name.

It's not that hard to come up with a number of explanations for this, I think.

A person living in the UK giving someone a French given name sounds like a bad idea all-around. Both in terms of social health and physical health.

@TheWindel @HokumPocus

My head is a bit clearer after taking a break from writing during the last two weeks. Apologies for all delays. Both are approved and may post immediately.
