Thank you! That gives... direction. It also solves certain problems while providing others. Nicely balanced!

I have a couple questions though. While rabbits will provide food and common quality tips for javelins and spears, as well as backup knives, they will not provide materials of sufficient strength to challenge a bear... unless I managed to figure out a way to trap it and get the mother of all critical hits through an eye.

-Skrik doesn't worship chance.
-A pit trap would have to be very deep and with the water close by... it would flood rapidly and become useless as a pitfall.
-You didn't mention any older trees in the area so I still lack replacement sap. This is fine since Skrik needs to be able to survive without that crutch.

I have a few ideas. But, first I think that Skrik will be true to himself. He will bravely study and withdraw while formulating a plan.

I remembered part of what I wanted to ask.

I wanted to know if the area Skrik searched contained the following items.
-Knappable stones
-Poisonous or toxic plants
-a source of long fibers suitable for wicks and twine
-any type of naturally occurring crystals, specifically geodes that might be found in the stream bed
-sand or another similar grit that would resist being ground to powder by friction

Also, Butcher's Insight should allow Skrik to be able to analyze the bear's movements and determine whether or not it is suitable for climbing, swimming, fast running, etc, correct?

Knapping is the process used to sharpen flint and obsidian into blades by using careful strikes from another stone. Stones that break in that manner are the class of stones that I'm referring to. Most are igneous in origin, but it isn't usually too uncommon for them to show up where water has cut a path or where other geological upsets have occurred. Of course, there are a wide range of stone types that can be sharpened in this way and their quality ranges widely as well.

Understood. So that type of rock is likely in the substrata but it isn't available on the surface in the local area. Would the starting cave have any?

After all, those are the only two places that Skrik has been to at this point and he doesn't know where the others went or how to find any of them to ask any questions. He's now isolated and will have to figure everything out on his own.

Name : Gredy

Gender: Male

Appearance: Somewhat tall among his kin as he stands at 4'5 feet tall, Gredy's height seems to have come at the cost of his bulk; He is somewhat bony and thin by nature and seems to get icy cold fingers quite easily.

Personality: Loyal, Patient, Impatient, Timid, Diplomatic and Stubborn. Gredy isn't the bravest goblin out there by any means and will often try to be something of a peace maker when conflict is happening around him, but if someone accepts him as a friend he will have their back almost no matter what (there are limits to what he will and won't do for the sake of a friend, through they are few and far between).

When the situation calls for it, Gredy can be surprisingly patient, but if there is no clear indication of why something is important or if nothing seems to be happening at all, impatience will get the better of him.

Past Life History: Once upon a time, Gredy was a human called Drew. Drew was little more than a corporate wage slave, but when he had a couple of days off lined up, he would go mountain climbing. He never could explain it, but ever since he was a young kid seeing a climbing wall in the gym of his high school he found challenging himself via climbing to be absolutely thrilling. Unfortunately, during one such trip, something... went wrong; He didn't live long enough to know which piece of his climbing equipment failed him in the end, but as he fell he closed his eyes and just... enjoyed his final free fall for what it was worth before he hit the ground.

Skill: Natural Climber - Maybe it's the added height, maybe it's the fact that he weighs less than others... possibly it's from experience in a past life, but Gredy is surprisingly good at climbing, be it a tree, rock or other.

I plan to be a dedicated Rp'er. Honestly I found another rp that was... well, pretty much a copy and paste of this idea and I'm disappointed because the GM seems to have abandoned it... or at least, is busy with the holidays and end of year rush.

Fair enough so are you sure you just want rock climbing to be your ability? I can have you come in as a stay goblin that found my character in a certain cave

I'm happy with climbing, through I would make the argument that he could climb more than rock. Experience teaches how to climb other things as well.
