Kōkyo HighThe new school year has just begun.
CLASS IS IN SESSION.
Donning your school uniform, you, along with the rest of the flocking students, head out to your first day of school. Perhaps you run into friends along the way, or you make your way to homeroom alone. When teacher walks in, the class greets him, and soon enough, the first day of your high school year begins.
Or so you--and everyone else--thought.
The day chugs along smoothly, yet by third period, everything changed for the worst. Hearing a scream, you see one of the teachers attack another outside the classroom window. The teacher snaps and bites, rending into their colleague like a primitive beast. One by one, the bitten, soaked in blood, rise up and continue the chomping spree on staff and student alike.
Now trapped in a ticking time bomb, what will you do? Will you follow your teacher, if they're lucky not to have been bit yet, or will you forge your own path? Will you cower in a locker, will you use your fellow classmates as tools to ensure your survival, or will you fight your hardest to save those you can?
It won't be long until they come knocking. Decide wisely, and decide quickly.
Breaking the Fourth Wall
OH, YOU'VE DONE IT NOW.
This roleplay draws inspiration from the manga Infection and the anime/manga High School of the Dead. Each of these series revolves around a zombie apocalypse in Japan, to which a group of high school-aged students (and faculty staff) are forced to survive, lest they find themselves bitten and turn like their former friends and colleagues.
Regarding the virus, it will be no more than your typical zombie virus. Once bitten, one will come down with signs of a harsh sickness, such as chills and a fever, until the virus has mutated enough to turn the individual. Zombies in this roleplay will be flesh-eating rather than brain-eating, but they will eat any flesh or organ they can get their hands on. As always, there is no cure, nor will there likely be one.
Starting at the beginning of the apocalypse, characters will be heavily unlikely to be jaded, or have any sort of firearms training. To them, the day would have been no more different than they would usually expect.. until the virus ravages the world. That being said, a few characters may have previous weapon experience, but only if they were in clubs such as kendo or archery.
Supplies will be easy to come by at the beginning, but likely even more dangerous to obtain. Zombies are not the only threat out there, and there are many who would gladly take advantage of a bunch of kids if it meant their own survival--perhaps even your own fellow survivors. Will they be able to survive and carve out a place of safety in the apocalypse, or fall and turn just like many before them?
Only time will tell us such answers.
