KK wakes up 1 week prior to the 150th anniversary of the Digital Apocalypse. Setting out to start his usual routine he hears a buzzing and a dinging. A familiar but confusing sound to him, looking around to find a source. The sound repeating every few seconds. Making his way over to his dresser, he hears the buzzing coming from inside. Pulling open the top drawer he see's his digivice boot up. Yukarumon's image pops up slightly ghosted as it has been for a while but somehow more vibrant. Yukarumon's face fills the screen yelling at KK. “Let me out!” Hearing his partners voice for the first time in almost 150 years KK holds his digivice out and shouts. “Yukarumon! Digitize!” Yukarumon streams out of the digivice in a wave of data. Fully realizing in his room.
“Buddy! I'm back!” Yukarumon runs up and gives KK a hug, picking him up despite being half his height. He stands tall and looks at him. “How long have I been gone? You haven't aged? You should have aged.” KK looks at him. “Next week it will be 150 years.” Yukarumon looking at him. “Don't humans only live like 100 years?” He asks him confused. “Yes but we aren't on earth now. I have lots to tell you.” KK sets out to tell Yukarumon the full story of what happened after his sacrifice. Yukarumon listens intently to the story at the end looking saddened. “My sacrifice was in vain?” He asked looking down. “No it wasn't, we won. We are in the digital world. Humans don't age unless they want to. We can live forever if we want to." The 2 continue to talk and get reacquainted with each other.
