Kari stands at 162 centimeters and a relatively average build with light bondless pink-colored hair underneath a “sporty” beret. Her eyes reflect a ruby red hue and almost always accompanied by a smile that is inviting as well as approachable. There isn’t a moment in time where Kari wants to be seen as a threat.
Personality
Often described as a “walking encyclopedia” by her peers at the Viridian City Pokémon Academy for Girls, Kari is an innately curious and energetic young woman with a seemingly unending reserve of enthusiasm for the world around her. She understands the journey it takes to become a great Pokémon Researcher and she wants to find the opportunity to travel with a breeder, trainer, and coordinator to properly understand all aspects of Pokémon. Beyond all of her kindness, knowledge, and spirit, Kari does have her own issues with overthinking things to the point where she finds herself the worst suited for feats where immediate action needs to be taken. Before committing herself to something she wants to have all of the information, very rarely believing that impulsiveness is a positive trait. Such things actually intimidate Kari and although she can stand her ground, people who have initiative in such a way definitely makes the pink-haired teenager feel helpless. It is something she needs to learn from.
Breeder — Whilst Netali would love to collect every gym badge and challenge the Elite Four, she is a Pokémon Breeder first and foremost. However, contrary to a typical breeder, Netali does not solely focus on breeding Pokémon for battle, rather, she focuses on breeding Pokémon for travel and racing, such as those used by the famed Rhyhorn and Gogoat riders.
What is there to say about Netali other than that she is mostly average in regards to her appearance? Standing at an average one-hundred and sixty centimeters and with an equal modest weight, Netali doesn't stand out from most girls her age. While her irises tend towards a reddish brown, Netali's short shoulder-cut hair leans towards a chestnut-like color. What truly makes Netali stand out from the rest is her bright pink jumpsuit-esque attire, affixed with a harness and safety pads to ensure her safety and stability while riding Pokémon. As a final note, by Netali's waist rests various pouches, acting sort of like a tool belt for the Pokémon Breeder.
Armed with a feisty spirit, Netali faces any trial with a "go get'em" attitude that usually lands her in trouble. Rather than sit idle and consult a plan, Netail lives in the moment, leaping to any challenge with courage that knows no bounds. Getting down and dirty is not an issue for Netali, whom would likely been a great candidate for the Ranger Union if they existed in Kanto. However, the fact that Netali is often willing to risk life and limb to ensure the health and safety of all Pokémon is a curse just as it is a blessing. In the end, Netali has had her fair share of running from angry Pokémon or ignoring law enforcement by charging directly into danger headfirst without another thought.
Born on a family ranch near the outskirts of Fuschia City and the nearby Safari Zone, Netali had been blessed into the Viermetz family—a family with a longstanding history of breeding Pokémon. From an early age, Netali had been taught the basics of Pokémon breeding by her parents, which included, but not limited to: poffin making, giving baths, and ensuring medical treatment. She would rise early out of bed each day, tending to the fields and Pokémon each and every day until late in the night, when Netali—tired and exhausted—would retire to her bed once more. This endless routine would be Netali's daily toil, but the hard work taking care of various Pokémon was something she always enjoyed.
However, by the time Netali reached the age of majority, something had changed within herself. Whilst she still loved to train her family's famed Pokémon, whom were known for their speed, Netali wanted more. There was a whole world of Pokémon outside of the ranch, from beasts capable of flight like Charizard and Flygon, or even speedy swimmers like Sharpedo and Floatzel! The world of Pokémon had a need for speed, and Netali wanted to explore every inch of it. The only issue Netali had to figure out was how to explore. Netali never truly had a Pokémon to her name, only those that her family owned at the ranch.
Having heard of an annual festival being held by Viridian City to commemorate the nearby forest, Netali knew what she wanted. After conversing with her parents, Netali found herself on her way to Viridian City with one of her family's Skiddos in tow. It was decided that Netali would promote her family's ranch at the festival, in hopes of finding like-minded workers alongside trainers that were willing to join the annual races that took place at the ranches in exchange for Netali being able to explore the known world. Netali thought it sounded like a swell idea, after all, she couldn't wait to challenge anyone to a Pokémon race!
Lochlan James Newton ║ Sixteen Years Old ║ Aspiring Gym Leader
Lochlan was born and raised on Floe Island which is part of the Sevii Islands, an archipelago made up of nine major islands and several smaller islands surrounding them. He was and is a very adventurous young man, having traveled throughout the Sevii Islands as soon as he turned fourteen. That was two year ago that Lochlan started a journey across the islands and now the young islander believes he is ready to take on the challenges of the mainland, having big dreams of becoming one of the Kanto Gym Leaders.
At the moment he doesn't have any specialty in mind, but is wanting to explore outside the island to see and experience more to find out who and what he really wants to be as a trainer and person. Lochlan can be stubborn, but he carries a kind heart and a deep sense of passion. His first stop is Viridian City, having just visited Professor Oak to help him register as an official trainer.
