Personality:
Miranda is not your typical girl at all. Despite the era she has grown up in, and the society she is from, Miranda is rather smart and not afraid to show just how much she knows. She is stubborn about what she wants to do, what she thinks, and will not back down from a fight very easily. This goes along with her outgoing personality as she tends to have more energy and be more of a person who is talkative and helping.
One of the many downsides to the way she is as a person is that she is very impulsive. She tends to make rash decisions on a whim, no matter what type of situation. She is a friendly person, wanting to get to know and befriend just about everyone she meets, no matter what. It doesn't matter to her who you are or what your past is, she will most likely try to befriend you. Despite all of that, she has been known to have somewhat of a temper, so you'd have to be able to deal with that before you could get close to her.

History
How did you discover your powers:
Miranda was 15 years old when she discovered her powers. She had been helping to clean out the attic of their house, planning on getting rid of some of the old stuff, things that 10 years before her mother had left behind, as well as anything else they needed to get rid of. She found an old painting, and it made her curious as to where it had come from, when suddenly she went into a trance-like state, and saw the entire history of the painting play out for her like a movie, and her brothers had to snap her out of it. That night, when she fell asleep, she started dreaming, but after only a few minutes, she was shaken awake by someone, as it turned out, she had been creating holograms of her dream. They couldn't hurt anyone, but they had almost seemed like they were there. She knew she had to hide her powers as best as she could, but it was hard with 5 brothers who liked to mess with her as a joke, and cause her to use her powers.
General History:
Miranda was born the youngest of 7 kids, not to mention that she was the only girl in the family. Her mother left the family when she was 5 years old, and she hadn't seen her since. Their father worked all of the time to support the family, leaving Miranda in the care of her 6 older brothers, Jeremy, Jason, the twins Tristan and Tim, Marcus, and Matthew being the one closest to her in age. They treated her like she was a lot younger than she was, even though she was only the youngest by 2 years, and it bugged her a lot.
Out of her brothers, she was the closest with the oldest of them, Jeremy. He was older than her by almost 10 years, but that didn't matter to her. He was the closest one to her, and was like a surrogate father to her growing up, since their own father was absent most of the time. She loved her brother, but the others weren't exactly the nicest people around to her. Especially when it became apparent that she was a girl who knew what she was doing, having the major brains in the family.
When she was 10 years old, Jeremy enlisted in the army. She didn't want to see him go, but there wasn't much else she could do. He was an adult, and he wanted to leave, and she understood that. Before he left, he bought her a locket, and gave it to her, telling her he wants to see what she put in it when he got home. Problem was, he never came back, dying on the battlefield. She felt so alone, being left with the siblings who didn't really care much about her, but she didn't know what else she could do. There wasn't anyone else who she felt truly cared so she just went with whatever life seemed to throw at her.
She threw herself into her schooling, and was easily the top in her class no matter what the subject matter was. Miranda tended to lean more science surprisingly, and she found that she loved it. That wasn't the only thing she took an interest in, she found that she loved messing with computers and different pieces of technology. Her family frowned upon this, but also found that it was impossible to stop her from pursuing it in anyway. She was happy, for what felt like the first time since Jeremy had died, and she was not going to let anyone stop her from doing what she loved.
When she discovered her powers when she was 15 years old, things seemed to take a turn for the worst in her family. She was mocked by her brothers, and then they would try to find ways for her powers to trigger. In one case, it got so bad for her that she ended up unconscious in a hospital as her mind tried to filter through everything she had been seeing about the past. After she graduated high school, she started going towards the idea of getting a college degree, but she didn't have the money for it, so she became a waitress and that was what she was doing when she was found and approached by Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr.
