The villain flinched as small, aggressive flames eagerly licked his arm and the knife held by it. He let out an annoyed growl as he placed his free hand on the arm and twirled the knife in his hand. The fire was heating him up, but he showed no signs of pain, or any attempt to avoid the fire at all. He just calmly kept his stance. Still keeping a threateningly close distance, his bloodshot eyes observed Nensu's fire eagerly.
"Now this is a bit more interesting."
He taunted.
"Go on, burst into flames. Let's see how many of those ignorant bystanders you burn. Let's see how high the pile of ash stacks."

Midoriya looked at the villain carefully. Nensu's snarl sharpened his senses, giving him a hint that Loma had already started to try crawling back up. This time there was no Yaoyorozu to knock her out(though knocking her out in this situation wasn't the best choice). There were the two of them against the vilain. Midoriya observed the villain twirl his knife, see the flames. He saw an opening.
He cared not to hesitate.
The green haired boy launched himself forward, cutting in between the two before the villain could grab his knife in a right position and stab the blade into Nensu. He placed his hands on the surprised villain's chest, and pushed him away with all his might. But before he was knocked any meters away, the villain's gloved hand grabbed on to Midoriya's arm tight.
"...after I deal with your overly protective boyfriend."
For a short moment, the scent of burning flesh spread in the air. Midoriya let out a sharp, desperate cey of pain, writhing in the spot as the villain held his arm firmly. When he let go, a burn mark like the man's hand remained on Midoriya's right arm.

The man’s taunting wasn’t helping her psyche, and the fragments between the two personalities began to shift. Her eyes were dialating, and a part of her continued to fight for control over the mind. She didn’t want a bigger body count under the hands of Loma...and she most certainly didn’t Midoriya to fall victim, and be added to the list. In addition, remembering her promise was what continued to push her. ’Damn you...damn you, Endeavor!’, she mentally said, trying to use her right side to extinguish the flames.

She was so busy fighting herself, Nensu didn’t realize that the green-haired friend had already acted. But, a cry, and the smell of flesh made her push on harder, and eventually, Nensu came back into reality, having to “wake up” in time to see a wounded Midoriya. It made her wonder whether if she had done it, or if the villain before her did. Wait a minute...! The flames! By the looks of it, he was able to withstand her flames...to the point of somehow harnessing it. But to see her friend hurt, she didn’t hesitate.

“Leave him..guh...alone!”, Nensu shouted, sending icicle projectiles towards the villain.

The icicles crashed into the villain and shattered into small ice shards. The shots seemed to stagger him good. While guarding his face with both arms raised to a guard, he couldn't advance forward as the pile of ice shards rose. In that timing, Midoriya ran away from Nensu, and from the villain. He had one clear thought, and only that: calling the heroes here. He couldn't risk any more casualties, for Nensu and him and anyone else.
"Oh, no you're NOT!"
The villain must have seen Midoriya run in his guard-as he turned around, risking to take the icicle barrage by his whoke back, and faced Midoriya. As there was no Nensu between them, he was free to charge straight at the boy. Midoriya turned around, and almost collapsed on the spot. What he saw was a murderous gaze, towards some random teenager that has messed with his oh so precious plan to be executed on a day of a fair for heroes. The villain started a run towards him, the knife held tight in his hand.

It was a battle of opposing elements; fire and ice colliding, neither deterring the other. To hold that much strength in preventing Loma from arising, became quite a discovery for herself. How she was able to counter her; she didn’t know. It doesn’t usually happen often, but this was most definitely a first. For her other personality to begin scratching her way out, Nensu didn’t know where the strength came from. Was it the urge to protect her friend? Or was it something else?

These questions were to be answered later, mainly to the fact that the red-and-white haired girl had her color-differing eyes trained on the villain in front of her. She gave Midoriya the time to flee, and get help, but someone sounded like they didn’t want to be discovered. There was a murderous intent to their assailant, and he’s more than willing to not leave an witnesses.

As a result, with her right foot, Nensu sent an ice sheet upon the ground, towards the villain, hoping to stop him in his tracks by making him slip, and be able to scoop up Midoriya and run.

While Midoriya continued his run, Nensu's wave of ice managed to catch the villain's foot on the spot. The ice grew over his ankle, freezing him right in the spot for a nice hit. He cursed out loud as he attempted to break the ice. He tried to pull his leg off, but the ice was harder than he thought. A snarl escaped from the villain as he looked up and saw Nensu and a ball of ice fly towards him. Before he could stab the utility knife into her arm, the nice sized ice ball hit him in the chest. He shot that was aimed for the head had missed a bit- the villain tilted his torso backwards in an attempt to dodge her strike.
"Geh, you little-"
Just then, a ghastly figure in pitch black glided past Midoriya. A hero with an annoyed expression flew into the villain, her both feet planted on his back, and thrusted full force into him. He was kicked free of the spot, and went airborn for a few seconds. He tumbled an extra meter when he landed, and let out a painful groan.

"Huh?"
Midoriya paused and turned back. What just happened? He saw Nensu, and a hero kicking the villain away. Did help finally arrive for them? If it did it arrived in a good timing, even if he counted it coming a bit late. A sigh of relief escaped his mouth, and the pain of the burn on his arm came back with it.

Nensu was quite surprised, to the point of feeling relieved, that something or someone had managed to interfere with the assault. She didn’t know who or what saved them, but that didn’t really matter now. Nearby, her friend was hurt, and in critical condition. Approaching Midoriya, she took a look at his arm, gently touching the burn mark. The first thing she had to be against were the offenders, and the last thing she needed to discover, were her friends and family getting hurt, killed, or worse.
Approaching the wounded teen, she gently placed her right hand on the burn, giving him the cold needed to tune down the burn, knowing that it was the right to do when it came to getting one. “Are you alright?”

“That took awfully long to realize the problem.”
The hero grumbled as she made way for the police officers to cuff and drag away the groaning villain. She was hovering a fee centimeters over the ground, still like a part of the surroundings. Until she turned around to face Nensu and Midoriya. She glanced around at the ground, spotting ice shards everywhere. Then her eyes went back to Nensu, who was cooling down Midoriya’s burn on his arm. She watched silently with her arms crossed.

“Th...thanks, that helped...”
Midoriya told Nensu. He let her take care of his right arm and looked at the hero. She looked back at him and raised an eyebrow. Midoriya pulled the dagger out of his pocket and handed it to the hero, handle first. She gave him a suspicous look before taking it and examining it.
“He had it with him. And a utility knife, he cut her with it.”
Midoriya gave a short explanation, and the hero nodded.
“Hell of a day for you kids.”
She said. Midoriya turned back to Nensu and her left cheek. The shallow cut didn’t see, so serious, but he reached over to it and wiped the blood off the girl’s cheek.
“Is the cut okay?”
He asked.

Nensu was being gentle in treating the burn mark on his arm. She had to depend on the cold of her cryokinesis from her right side, in the means of healing him. It would be like sticking his hand into a freezer, but she didn’t want the spot to become too cold, beyond his own body temperature; otherwise, it would result in permanent frostbite. For some reason, while doing this noble act, she knew that Loma was capable in doing the same heinous thing, and it would become one of her greatest fears: Seeing her friends and family, at her hands. It became the reason why she vowed Midoriya that she would control herself.
She looked down at the ground, having to not see the said-teen look at her, and suddenly touch her face, upon the bloody cut that the villain gave her. The girl slightly flinched at the touch, but calmed down, once he asked whether if she was okay. “Just a scratch. Stings a little, but it’s fine”, she assured, as she reached up to touch it herself, and giving him a gentle smile. Nensu then felt through her hair, having to find the spots where it was cut by the villain’s knife, causing her to frown.

Midoriya then realized how close he actually was to Nensu. His face was far more closer than he had been any time recent(but he still did remember when she kissed him in the cheek), that her voice sounded even sweeter in the distance. Midoriya pulled back, his face slightly lighting up. He crawled away so that the closest part to her was the injured arm. In the middle of Midoriya being a shy mess, he heard the pro hero chuckle and smash her hands on the two teens’ shoulders.
“Now, you don’t look so fine, maybe I could escort you to the local hospital? What do you say?”
She said. Midoriya looked at Nensu. He couldn’t have her cool his arm forever. And paying a visit to a hospital seemed like the best choice in a case like this-a handprint left on his arm wasn’t really a joyful thing to have.
“Sure... I guess?”
The hero nodded and turned to Nensu, her black ponytail hair weakly swinging to the mild breeze.
“What does the lady say?”

Nensu may not have realized it herself, but Midoriya was indeed a bit closer than how he would have liked. In truth, she was a bit reluctant to even move, considering that she didn’t want to cross any boundaries, without his consent. So far, he made that perfectly clear, by his earlier reactions. Even though she found it rather adorable and amusing, Nensu respected his level of comfort. If that were the case, she would have assumed that this would be why the male teen had decided to give some space between the two of them. Not that she minded, anyway; she respected his limits.
The girl looked at the Pro hero, before looking at Midoriya. “Being a part to all of this, I’ll help”, she nodded.

For the rest of the day, Nensu stayed at the hospital, before offering to walk him home, in the evening. The only thing she received from the hospital was a bandage for cut on her left cheek.

The next day.
From the morning the assault at the USJ was a great hit on major news channels. There were broadcasts about how a class in UA high school was assaulted by a group of villains calling themselves the League of Villains, with an attempt to murder the number one hero All Might which had resulted in a failure. Meanwhile, the very class that experienced such event was at their school, preparing for the morning homeroom time to begin.
Of course, the USJ wasn't the most popular discussion in the class- but rather what happened the day before. A small happening at the Heroes Fair, though without any visual documents were given to the media, was mentioned on the news too- two high school students standing off against an armed villain, and managed to hold on until a hero at the spot found the situation and put an end to the villain's actions. Many details seemed missing in the reports, but people didn't seem to doubt it. And with a few evident clues that Midoriya and Nensu had on them, the class easily figured out the two were the ones of the incident.
"Man, that burn seems harsh!"
Kirishima pointed out at Midoriya's arm. He had put a large white bandage on it after the visit to the hospital, and it was still easy to notice. Midoriya only gave the redhead an awkward nod.
"If it weren't for Todoroki-san it would've been worse."
He said.

The next day was quite one for one to try and adjust, after having to go through a scenario that would linger in their minds for the rest of their lives. Watching and listening to the news of the attack yesterday, was on the television that morning, and nobody would miss any events regarding the villains and Pros. It’s been broadcasting through the radio too, and in the house of Todoroki, any of the siblings would be listening, and the noise echoes through the halls.

Yesterday evening, since the incident, Nensu decided to go to the training room to work out some parts of her body, in preparation for any incident similar to the one she and Midoriya were exposed to. At school, she listened to the conversations but didn’t say anything. The next few days she felt were going to be rough since the incidents at the USJ and the Heroes Fair. It only increased her awareness, in case anything were to jump out of the shadows. At this rate, no one was safe; not with the villains making themselves known to public.

The villain with the many hands back at the USJ made Nensu speculate that he was the leader of the faction. But mystery still surrounded him, even down to his name.

Just then, Iida ran up to the front of the class to make sure everyone was seated before the homeroom time started-only to make sure he was hte only one out of the seats. He returned to his own seat when a question popped up from one of the girls.
"I wonder who will be doing our homeroom today? I'm sure Aizawa sensei can't come to school after that much injury."
Ashido asked Tsuyu, almost falling back with her. Tsuyu was fast enough to catch her from behind so she wouldn't have to crash into the desk. As various speculations rose as an answer to the question, the front door of the classroom opened, revealing Aizawa... covered in rolls of bandages like a mummy. He had his left arm in a cast, and was just a mess in total. The students couldn't help but gape at the man's will to come teach the students in such state.
"Quiet now, there's an important announcement I have to make."
He said to all the murmur going on in the classroom. They soon quieted down as Aizawa cleared his throat for the announcement.
"The UA Sports Festival is coming up."
"SOMETHING SCHOOL-LIKE'S HERE!"
Kirishima balled up his fist in excitement and yelled out into the air. Everyone enjoyed the hype of something extremely school like after events of fighting and more fighting and hero related stuff. It was like they finally realized this was a highschool. However, Iida had more concern than joy.
"Wouldn't it be dangerous to hold such an event soon after being assaulted like that, sir?"
He asked. Aizawa replied without hesitation.
"'To tell everyone UA stands strong', they say. The security will be five times stronger than the last year.
"The Sports Festival, after all, is an important event for you. And ever since the Olympics was decreased in scale our Sports Festival has been the replacement for the Olympics. And it's one good way to be noticed by the top ranking heroes, giving you a chance to work in their office as a sidekick in the future. It only comes to you three times, one per year at UA. Make it count."
Aizawa said.

With Mr. Aizawa to make an appearance, a part of Nensu made her show some concern for their teacher. Why would he still be teaching, if it was clearly apparent that he was in critical condition? As strict as he was, normally, she had to feel some pity for the man called Eraserhead who intended to protect them in the attack of the USJ. The announcement did intend catch everyone off guard, and Nensu had to wonder which Pro-Hero could possibly take her in, as an intern. Would it be Gunhead? Mount Lady? Or...Endeavor? Only by mentioning his name, she had a sinking feeling in her stomach, having a moment of temporary dread. That also meant that he would be watching...

Even when the students started cheering, and getting themselves pumped up, Nensu remained in her seat, having to feel as if a bunch of bricks fell on her shoulders.

Nensu wasn't the only one not feeling much hype from the statement. Midoriya, for one, had more burden than being noticed by a high ranking hero. The boy was the next symbol of peace, All Might's pupil. The ninth One For All. He had much burden on his shoulders to carry. He could smile a bit, but he knew he wouldn't be all smiling all the time. He had to do everything to use All Might's power freely.

Hiems was not hyped. As usual. Sure, he had been seeing footages of UA Sports Festivals months before he decided to head to Japan, but it didn't help with his sluggish nature that also effected his emotions in the slightest. Instead of joining the cheering crowd he walked over to Nensu from behind her.
"Something in your mind?"
He asked.

Nensu had her hand under her chin, as she mellowly thought about what was gonna happen in a few days...and a few weeks following that. Having to hear Heims, she looked behind her to look at Shoto, who sat a few desks behind her. There was no doubt that their father was going to be watching them through the entire festival. Having those kind of eyes on you the entire time, was really going mess with her head. Even worse, if she thought about it for too long, then Loma would have a good enough reason to claw her way out, and she couldn't risk the safety of those around her at the event.
"A lot of things", she responded with a bit of worry in her voice.

"Well. Don't let that bug your mind when you're at the actual festival. Pumped up with passion or not, I'm sure everyone's going to put up a fight to get to the top here."
With that Hiems headed back to his seat. Thanks to Nensu sharing her story with Hiems and Midoriya, he could already imagine the sole reason the girl seemed discouraged with such a strong quirk like her brother's. Her father, the No.2 hero in Japan, Endeavor coming to take a look at the Sports Festival. Of course there was no way Loma would likely sit back and relax while Nensu stood nervously in Endeavor's gaze.

Midoriya was staring down at his fist when he heard Uraraka cheering up in an... intense way at the back of the classroom.
"Deku-kun! I'll do my best!"
Midoriya answered with an awkward grin, surprised by the sudden overload of tension in Uraraka's speech, and just overall herself. Then he turned to Nensu, and noticed she wasn't looking excited at all. One word sparked in his head: Endeavor. Seeing Hiems walk away from her, he approached her.
"Is everything okay?"
He asked.

Nensu heard Heims, but didn’t acknowledge him, since she was too consumed in her own thoughts. Personally, if one were to notice her current timidness and uncertainty, they were the result of having to imagine the Endeavor’s eyes piercing into her very soul. They were the same dominating ones that stared down upon her brother, and their mother. The very thought only made her hug herself, as if she were trying to hide herself. She heard Midoriya, before curling herself in some more.
“I-I don’t know”, she responded, not looking at him, but the desk.

Midoriya reached out for her, then stopped. What could he say to her? He knew only the minimum of how her life was. He could hardly imagine the pain she had to go through. How much shock it would be to be pushed to perform with the very man who gave her life so much pain watching. He'd never know. His hand, now lightly shaking, retreated. His head simultaneously dropped slightly.
"I'll... be at my seat."
He said and turned away. Millions of words popped up and disappeared in the boy's head in that one simple move. He could say any of them, any of the comforting words he mustered up- but then he questioned himself, would it make sense for her? Would those words not hurt her more? He was more hesitant than ever.

Nensu was so consumed in her thoughts, she didn’t notice Midoriya attempting to reach out to her. It was like an eternal plague; it continues to surround her forever, until someone else manages to experience the same amount of pain. Like Shoto. The girl then noticed the footsteps walking away.
“What’s your family like, Midoriya?”, she asked, sadly. “How do they live?”, she didn’t look at him as she said this, but she was curious.
