Midoriya turned to Nensu calling him. He turned around with a bit of hope in his eyes, only to see her still staring away from him. Midoriay still opened his mouth hoping answering her would help her cheer up.
"We're fine. Dad's overseas for his job but we're doing alright. My mom's been kind and supportive all the time."
He made a pause. So different from Nensu's case. Maybe he was just feeding the despair burning in her heart. He saw her, hugging herself and curled up like she was hiding from something. This time he managed to reach out for her. His hand gently landed on her shoulder.
"Y... you'll be fine. Everyone here will be there for you. I'll be there for you."

Nensu continued to hug herself, even as she listened to Midoriya explain on what his family was like, as requested.
“Our mothers aren’t so different, then”, she softly said, a small smile appearing, having to realize that they too far apart: Kind and supportive.
“She’s the one who protected me. Protected us. Until the day, when he took our pain too far”, she remembered that day when Shoto got burned by her, not out of ill-intent, of course. “You’ve got such a happy family”.
Now, she was in the mental hospital. Her voice was starting to crack, but then she felt a hand on her shoulder, and the other teen’s reassuring voice. How is it that she felt so secure around him? For some reason, it was as if he had the reigns of keeping Loma’s burning desire for vengeance suppressed and trapped. And yet, she felt safe.
In response to his recent action, Nensu eventually put a hand on top of the one on her shoulder. She knew his boundaries but she felt the need to do so. “Thank you”

Midoriya silently listened to Nensu as she explained her story. She had a good mother to her luck-only she didn't last forever. And now he knew where Shoto's burn came from. His mother couldn't stand it anymore. Midoriya had to stop himself from shivering. The more she talked about it, the more he knew what pain she had to go through. Each time a detail was added it was just even more mess. He let her rest her hand on his, relieved that he actually helped her calm down after all. He just couldn't watch her in pain.

---

After another boring day at school(it was a hero school, but it was still school after all) that they withstood with the hype for the Sports Festival, class 1-A finally prepared to return to their homes. Uraraka, with all her stuff packed up, walked up to the door and opened it, only to back away surprised. Outside the door was a gigantic crowd of students, all gathered up around the hall and staring into the classroom as the door opened. While Mineta protested to the gathering crowd for blocking his way, Bakugou casually walked towards them, his ever hostile attitude unchanged.
"It's called scouting, they'd like to take a look at the class that survived the villain assault.
"It's no use doing that, so get out of the way, extras."
Iida protested to his actions when a student walked out of the crowd, standing out.
"If that's your average attitude, that'd be a bummer. I'd be hating you for that. You see, there's people who were dropped from Hero Course in Ordinary course too. Did you know? And the Sports Festival is a chance for us to rise to Hero Course."
While everyone silently listened, A tall figure walked past the purple haired student and into the crowd. Hiems passed the gathered students with his lazy gaze heading only forward.
"Yeah, see you next time."
He said to the boy as he disappeared.

Her one fear was being suppressed by only Midoriya, at the moment, having to trust his word, from when they first met at the entrance exam, the training exercise, the USJ, to the (nearly-crumbled) date. Because of that, she gave him her own, by trying her hardest to keep Loma under control, even though she knows that she won't be able to hold her other personality back for a long period of time. Again, it was all about feeling safe when it came to him. Her hand remained on top of his own, having to think about this a little bit longer, before turning her head to look at him with a small smile.

When class was dismissed altogether, Nensu had managed to finally stand up, and talk to a few of the students before noticing a large crowd outside of the classroom. After listening to their conversation, everyone outside Class-1A were now striving to be at the top. It was considered unpleasant to hear, but everybody at the school had a goal: To become number one. Perhaps everybody but herself. She didn't need to be, considering that it wasn't in her best interest; she just wanted to help people, as well as enhance her abilities in order to make that happen. So, for the next few days of preparing, she worked out in the training room, as well as do some yoga to prepare herself, mentally.

Finally, the Sports Festival day came. Little shops selling souvenirs and food were lines up in the way to the school building. Heroes and visitors lined up all the way from the school gate, eager to see the festival. Many were hyped for the third graders' festival, as usual, but this time the first graders also got a bit of a spotlight-mostly for 1-A surviving the villain assault. Surely the USJ incident had drawn enormous amount of interest from the public.

In a stadium filled with a cheering crowd, the first graders marched in beginning from class A. Present Mic introduced the marching classes, the introductions suspiciously getting shorter with each class. Ordinary and Support classes were introduced quite simply compared to the two hero course classes.
"As always, we're just the background fillers."
A voice came from behind.
---
After Bakugou's triggering speech(which wasn't even long enough to be called one) the first part of the Sports Festival was announced. It was an obstacle race, running through the course built around the stadium, with various obstacles preparedin their way. Midnight announced the start of the race, and everyone started charging to the small exit of the stadium, which turned into a massive traffic jam in the matter of seconds.

Midoroya struggled in the middle of the crowd. Not having full control over One for All he had to go through the whole race, possibly the whole festival, with his bare fists. That was when he heard the voices of terrified students in front of him- and a layer of ice freezing the ground and their feet. Luckily Midoriya dodged it in time. One of the Todorokis got a head start.

The day of the Sports Festival came to a grinding start, having at least thousands of people, including the millions who were watching through the television. Nensu had to be glad that she did some morning stretching before attending, and taking her appearance in what appears to be a giant colosseum. She had to admit that she was nervous when Katsuki Bakugou has to deliver a speech, having bite one of her nails throughout the whole ideal. Not enough to produce sweats, but she was concerned. What also didn’t help was the fact that she was currently dressed in a cheerleading uniform...thanks to the clever tricks of Kaminari and Mineta.

Then, the first event came. An obstacle course. The instructions were pretty simple: Run across some of the obstacles, and make it to the other side. Ice began to form at their feet, and as quickly as she could, Nensu launched a stream of fire to set the other students free of her brother’s intention to slow them down. From there, she took off running.

Midoriya let out a sigh of relief as a wave or warmth melted away the ice, releasing a horde of students out the gateway like a storm of zombies. Midoriya was one of them, running at his average speed when he saw someone casually run past him. Hiems, with his hair a bit down than usual, flailing to the wind. A bit of frost growing on the top of his hair and limbs were visible. He had activated his quirk from the beginning, perhaps to 'warm it up'(though it sounded a bit weird in his case). Midoriya sped up himself, as he couldn't just let everyone walk past him. But he had to stop at a point, when a familiar robot flung its arm threateningly at him. He backed away to see the 1p villain that he saw at the entrance exam. Just then, Mic's voice boomed through the tracks.
"FIRST OBSTACLE-ROBO INFERNO! GOOD LUCK KIDDOS!"
1p, 2p, 3p, and a horde of 0p robots. Midoriya wondered how much money the school had to have this much robots to throw at its students.

"I hoped for something more than this. That damn father's watching over us, after all."
Todoroki growled. He raised his hand, a gigantic wave of ice growing after the gesture. It grew over an attacking 0p robot and froze it whole. Todoroki ran through its legs as it slowly collapsed, sending out a gigantic wave of dust around the area. The other students couldn't dare follow Shoto in his way-and now they had still more of the 0p robots to deal with.
Of course, Bakugou could just fly over one.
What a race.

Nensu continued to run on the dirt ground, until she came face-to-face with the same robots that took part in the entrance exam. Looking upon them, she had come to noticed that one of them had begun to fall over. It was, no doubt, her brother being up ahead of her and everyone else. She had only managed to catch a brief part of what he just said, but Nensu didn't want to be stuck wondering about it for too long. Right now, she had to cover her face from the dust that the fallen obstacle created. Looking behind her, she had managed to see Midoriya and the other students surrounded, as well. Following her instincts, the female Todoroki sent a chill gust of cold air upon their offenders, freezing the robots on the spot. Once again, she continued running, through a robot's legs, and after her the two teenaged boys that were up ahead.

"That's one way to do it."
Hiems muttered to himself as he saw Nensu freeze up the whole wave of 0p robots. These Todoroki siblings were simply human embodiment of firepower. With simple gestures they could freeze a gigantic area with ease. And Nensu's flames were pure threat. Surely this was going to be a hard Sports Festival, if Hiems were to climb up to the top. Maybe he will try. But for now he had to grab the chance Nensu had given all the other students. He ran past most of the students who could not speed up with their quirks. It was no problem outrunning them-the real problem was others who could, like Bakugou, Iida, and some others. That meant there was no time to waste for him. He sped up a bit, more frost covering his legs.

What welcomed the students that made it through the Robo Inferno was a bottomless pit. There were ropes leading to pillars of earth standing in the pit, requiring a few trips to pass the area. Some, like Iida, got through quite easily with their quirks shining. Midoriya chose the classic way of hanging on the rope with his arms and legs, a plate of 1p robot hanging on his back. It had to come in handy, especially when the boy couldn't use his quirk.

Running ahead, she had managed to spot the next obstacle: A ditch, with only ropes as the only way of passage. As much as she wanted to cross them by foot, she suddenly sent an icy wave of frost, to create a bridge. Due to all of her youth trying to ice skate, she slid herself upon the freshly-made structure, kind of like how a skater would maneuver. With that, she continued to move, over the ditch, and continuing to create an icy path for her to catch up to her brother and Bakugou. Looking back, she took notice of Midoriya going old-style across the ditch. Sighing, the female Todoroki sent him a smile of encouragement, before looking ahead.

Hiems was crawling across the rope, fixing himself on it by freezing his hands on them and then moving forward by breaking them, when he saw Nensu simply create a bridge of ice and skate over it casually. ‘Freaking casuals.’ He thought to himself as he continued his great journey that took forever. Hewas a bit faster than Midoriya because he was less hesitant(he hoped there would actually be safety measures deep down that abyss-hoped-) about moving on.

Midoriya sent an awkward smile mixed with gritting his teeth to stay on the rope when Nensu smiled at him. Her smile did help, but seeing her skating over the ice structure definitely didn’t. He hurried over the ropes to the way out, hoping there would be something else than more bottomless pits next.

What came next was a classic, non-lethal, pink explosion-emitting minefield filled with mines hidden way too obviously but also great in amount. Todoroki was still far ahead, but in a situation where he couldn’t risk increasing competitors he didn’t freeze the ground in front of him. He carefully stepped away from the mines, slowly going forward.
This was when Bakugou chased Shoto up his tail. Hovering in the air, explosions blasting from his hands, the ash blonde teen flew straight forward without hesitation. His feet never touched the ground and therefore required zero caution for the minefield beneath it. Yelling at Todoroki, he caught up with him.

Having to spot the next obstacle up ahead, Nensu had mentioned to take notice of her brother slowing down, but what caught her attention, was Bakugou, who was trying to chase him down throughout the entire first part of the event. The female Todorki hadn't been too far behind the two boys, but she had managed to catch up to them. It would be against her nature to try catching up, but she was only attempting to work at her own pace, and not think of it as a race. However, she did decide to continue making the ice bridge to pass over the minefield. However, before she even passed into the tunnel, someone or something passed, going ahead of her.

The plate of metal Midoriya had been keeping like it was a precious treasure finally shined. Midoriya dug up a handful of landmines while everyone was tiptoeing their way forward. If these landmines could send students into the air when stepped on, then he was going to use it. and a lot. Once he had enough of them gathered, he held the plate high in the air, and struck down. The next moment, he was high in the air, accelerating forward, holding on to the plate for his dear life-it would be more than painful when he let go of it- until he landed a few meters ahead of Todoroki and Bakugou. Present Mic's surprised voice rang throughout the tracks, and an uproar of cheers rose from the stadium, even audible from the tracks.
Midoriya was the new first place.
But there was no time to waste. Bakugou started chasing even more angrily, and, feeling threatened, Shoto himself started freezing the minefield in front of him, risking the fact of students behind him getting an easy pass. The three, and Nensu, raced to the goal, until they all rushed in with Midoriya still as the shining first place.

---

The race ended with an unexpected twist(for the crowd, at least), giving the Sports Festival a heated up start. Meanwhile, Midnight moved on to introducing the second part of the Sports Festival: the Cavalry Battle. Around 2 to 4 students teamed up to form a cavalry, stealing headbands with different points from other teams to become the top 4. The 16 students who made it to the top would be able to participate the next part. The points given per each person was to be determined by... the order they finished the race. Midoriya, being the first place, was prized a whopping 100,000 points for his team. Midoriya felt a chill crawl up his spine as he felt gazes from every corner of the students in the stadium. His action to show that he finally 'was here' had pushed him into such a situation.
Not really a good one.

Before she could even proceed to go through the tunnel, someone seemed to have beaten her to it. What...? She didn't know what just happened, but Midoriya's propelling had caused her hair to lightly wave in the wind that he created when he dashed past her. Nensu had her color-differing eyes widening just slightly, when she came to notice the quickness that he was performing to do such a feat, and a part of her wondered just how he did it. Looking behind her, she took notice of a very angry Bakugou, along with a seemingly desperate Shoto, before she attempted to get ahead of them, by crossing through the tunnel as fast as she could, before she made it to the other side...with the other two boys coming in, shortly after. Setting her path of ice down, Nensu looked upon the teen who managed to best her, as well as the other teens. In regards to his intelligence, he must have come up with some sort of plan that they were all oblivious to. Impressed, the female Todorki smiled at the boy who stood only a few feet away.

The next event was something of a task that centered around teamwork. The rules seemed simple, but to hear the point system, Nensu was nearly on the verge to let her jaw drop. The person in first place had the highest points, so that individual was now going to be a major fixation for all of the other competitors. She could only have a bad feeling, along with a really bad tension that surrounded them.

Midoriya looked around as students gathered to team up with each other. As expected, most were gathering with their own classmates. They were the only ones each were friendly with, and knew the quirks. Midoriya himself was a different case. Everyone was keeping distance from him, especially because of the burden he was with that point. With such point, he was obviously the #1 target to everyone. Nobody was willing to take such risk for free. When he walked up to Iida, he refused the offer.
"This time, I want to challenge you."
He said. The fellow student had already teamed up with Shoto. He seemed determined about the festival, and now stood as Midoriya's opponent. Midoriya turned, looking for someone else to team up with.

As someone who ran in around 18 or 19 (Hiems didn't really care at that point now that he actually made it) Hiems hardly got the same barrier as Midoriya. He got his own. His classmates saw him as a lazy student, and he barely got to show his serious side at the tag battles thanks to Loma, who decided to show up in such a situation. Even that was dealt with by Yaoyorozu. 'Oh well, I got what I got.' Hiems thought to himself. He looked around, and caught Midoriya alone, but turned away. Even if he took his brilliant mind 100,000 points was just too much to keep for the entire match. Unless he had two Todoroki's on his side, which he didn't.

If what she was seeing was correct, then she was. Nensu noticed all of the students, including her classmates, avoiding Midoriya, as soon as they were tasked to spread out and pick a team. She honestly didn’t know whether to follow their lead or not, but the only thing that was on her mind, was her sense of looking out for others, rather than take the spotlight as number one. It must be painful to be alone in this, and also, it was Midoriya, the only male that she knew, who would help her feel some sense of security. To support that reason, her own father was watching...from somewhere. She just felt like she needed the teenager’s presence.

With that thought, she approached him. “I’ll join you, Deku”, she said to him with a smile, shortly before Uraraka gleefully came towards them, declaring in her involvement as well. As for Momo, she obviously went with Hiems, figuring that she was running out of options (as well as needing someone big to get Mineta off her back, literally).

“O...oh, really? Thank you so much, guys!”
Midoriya said. It was lucky to have one gladly take his side, and now there was two. Lucky him, this cavalry battle didn’t seem bad at all. With the support of two classmates on his back, Midoriya started sketching a plan in his head. He roamed around the students, and was able to recruit Tokoyami, and a support class student named Hatsume Mei who seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. There they were, a five man cavalry ready to roll out. Midoriya balled up his fist. This fight he couldn’t risk losing.

Hiems only blinked when Yaoyorozu walked up to him. He could see Iida, Todoroki Shoto, and Kaminari behind her, waiting for his response. Him? Iida could go beyond him about speed. Todoroki’s freezing overpowered his in range and strength. Kaminari was electric. Yaoyorozu could keep control of situations. They didn’t even need an extra member.
“What do you need me for?”
He asked.

Nensu smiled, as soon as they had a whole team together, and were ready to advance. There was determination in her color-differing eyes, and she was quite confident that their team might be able to pull through. If Midoriya had a hidden plan up his sleeve, then Nensu had faith that they will pull through. She was positioned in the front of the group, with Tokoyami covering the other side, while Hatsume and Uraraka took the back. They only had fifteen to evade the others.

They were against fifteen to twenty other teams that contained the rest of the school, including the students from their own class. Momo was looking upon Heims with hope in her eyes, and confidence, as if she had total faith in how useful he can be for their team. "Well, even though Todoroki holds great strength, we figured that having extra muscle might be proven useful".

"Well, that would work... I guess."
Hiems muttered.

---

Finally, all teams were made. From Two to Five, students teamed up to destroy all in their way and climb up to the shining first place. Each team was given one headband as a start, the point on it being the sum of the points all the teammates were distributed at the finish of the obstacle race. Midoriya's headband alone had some extra digits, standing out particularly. But even if the headband didn't point them out, the students were all already staring at them hungrily. 100,000 points was too much a temptation to refuse easily, especially in such a fiery competition like the UA Sports Festival. Midoriya gulped as they remained in silence a few moments before the battle started.
"READY- START!"
Present Mic's voice rang as the whole stadium roared, and all the cavalries rushed towards Midoriya's, as expected. Bakugou, Todoroki, and other classes, all heading for the sitting prize. Luckily, Midoriya had a handful of escape plans, thanks to Uraraka, Hatsume, Tokoyami, and Nensu by his side.
"Todoroki-san, can you separate us with some of them with a wall of ice?"
He asked.

"Here we go."
Hiems muttered as he followed his cavalry, running below Shoto as he cooled down only his legs. Even if Todoroki could form ice, and heat stuff up, he didn't want to give the boy a cold seat. Cold seats sucked, even for him, when he was at normal state.

Before the announcement of beginning the round, Nensu was eyeing each of their opponents, having to mentally take note of who belonged in which group, as well as figure out on who to avoid. However, once the time came, the white-and-red-haired girl kept her eyes open for any perpetrators, who may find the chance to swipe in, and steal their team's headband. Upon hearing Midoriya's suggestion, Nensu didn't hesitate to comply. "Sure can. I can only warn them that they're gonna feel a slight chill", she said, with a smile, before her right side began to drop in temperature. With her one arm, she was able to conjure and swipe a trail of ice nearby, separating a few of the teams away from their own position.
