“Not a whole lot is yet known about Vacant Worlds, aside from that fact that it’s being personally produced by the head of Emerald Studios, Mr. Lucas Green, and it’s being directed by Rumi Velasco, who won the Prix Un Certain Regard award at the Cannes film festival last year. The movie is set to be a blockbuster, though plot details are few and far between.
Ms. Velasco is somewhat out of place. She isn’t someone that you’d picture directing something that topples box office records — and to some extent isn’t even someone that most in the industry would picture directing an Emerald Studios production. Money talks, though, and every member of the crew for Vacant Worlds most likely signed exorbitantly high contracts, as they were all handpicked by Mr. Green himself.
The film has only recently started filming, and we’re expecting to see production shots, and begin interviews with the cast and crew sooner, rather than later. We hope to be able to provide more plot details as time goes on, but right now, everyone involved is tight lipped.
For now, we have a quote on the genre from Mr. Green.”
“It’s an action mystery thriller. Sounds like a lot, but when have I ever let you down before? That’s right, never. Wait and see.”
