@Lord Wraith I've been 'stalking' this RP for quite a little while now. I know the join status says 'apply', but the CS-tab says that there currently are no less than four characters in the pipeline. Even with subtracting those who obviously are no longer I'd still like to ask if this is still open at this point prior to start working on a character ?
Proposed supernatural ability: Spawn arbitrarily sized spank plank out of nowhere. Spawn arbitrarily sized nails out of nowhere. And a hammer! A BIG hammer!
Possible weakness: Is always worried that the ability might not work or produce unstable results, thus has a bad habit of testing the thing using noone else than himself each time he uses it. Is kind of a controlling freak and enjoys pain to a significant degree. Now unfortunately experience has proven that most victims can escape happily before this post-spawn self-test is over.
Limitation: It doesn't work without a companion in the first place. With three limbs nailed into place it is impossible for him to handle the hammer in order to get the job done completely, so someone else has to do it!

@JunkMail@Lord Wraith Whew, third time's the charm, huh? Here's Driver!Andrea, AKA Slingshot, for your reviewing pleasure. Hopefully any required fixes will be easy ones this time around. As always, I'll put any updates I made since I posted this below the hider. Thanks for your time. :D

//Basics: โข Height | 5'8"
โข Weight | 180 lbs.
โข Build | Defined, toned
โข Hair Colour | Black
โข Eye Colour | Dark Brown
Equipment ___________________________________
//Carried: โข Advanced Virtual Intelligence Velocity Mk. 4 "Patches" | This entire set includes Augmented Reality glasses manufactured by Intel (with a hidden mounted camera, hidden mic and vibration sound system), AI nodes carried on Andrea's person (that allow it to connect to Andrea's glasses, as well as to the internet), AI nodes installed in Andrea's cars, and the AI mainframe in Andrea's house. Abilities and history of "Patches" is listed under the backstory and abilities section. โข Microdrones | These microdrones are connected to Patches, and can be carried by Andrea in her pocket or in her vehicles. Said microdrones can help survey things that Patches cannot otherwise see, and carry out all sight-and-sound related duties. While they can wirelessly charge, they can only last about an hour in the air. Andrea often carries one in her pocket, and a few in her cars. โข Racing Gear | Andrea often carries some backup racing safety gear in whatever cars she takes to a race, and often has a high-vis vest in every car with an emergency kit. Her safety gear looks a bit more like this than what is pictured, with a few sponsors and markings that signify 'Asphalt Assclowns Racing Team'. Such safety gear is only worn when racing. โข Basic Repair Kit | Every car that Andrea owns has a basic repair kit stored away, so if there is anything that goes wrong that Patches can diagnose, Andrea has the tools necessary to make any quick repairs that can get the car running again.
//Vehicles โข 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X | This car is one of Andrea's favorites, and is driven the most. All-weather, all-terrain rally-based sports sedan, Andrea couldn't ask for much more. Maybe leather seats, but most of the gripes she has is just with some of the interior package. Bought used, Andrea uses this car for her work as a driver, using it to drive people and things to wherever they need to go. With its Super All Wheel Control system, Andrea can drive this on nearly any terrain, and with its strong performance, the car can go very fast and hug corners really well. With Andrea's experience in rally races and road tracks, she makes great use out of this car, and is probably at her best with it. It is noded to all hell for Patches, allowing complete diagnostics and AI override for several components. While the exterior is modified little, it's engine, suspension, brakes and tires are upgraded to make this car a jack of all trades, and master of a few. 360 horsepower, 175 miles per hour top speed, good luck trying to catch it, and even better luck if you're off-road. Rear shot,interior shot. โข 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT Convertible | This car was Andrea's personal project growing up. This being Andrea's first car, she spent most of her free time upgrading it, and getting it to peak condition. While it is almost just as fast as her Evo, it's off-road capabilities are quite limited. It is, however, just as noded as the Evo, allowing complete diagnostics and some control over some parts. It's small frame and aerodynamic nature allows this car to corner very well and drive very fast. Some parts are added to give it a 'Retro 80s' feel to it, such as interior mood lighting and additional lights inside and out. However, this car only has two seats, one for Andrea herself, and another for her dates. Comes with a banging Bose sound system, and is perfect for driving off into the sunset with smooth synthwave tunes. Rear shot, roof up. โข 1980s-1990s Burner Vehicles | Andrea may not rely entirely on her Evo for all of her jobs, especially if they are of the criminal nature. Since her consistency with the Evo may make her easier to catch for crimes she was complicit in, Andrea uses several 'burner' vehicles that she can easily dispose of to keep the cops off her trail, and her partners-in-crime safe. With their VINs filed off, license plates falsely registered and complete with other precautions, the trunks are often filled with gasoline and bleach, to make sure no evidence is left behind. These cars are lightly modified to allow Patches access, as well as keep the cars running and fast. These vehicles vary, but are generally late-80s early-90s cars purchased cheap and are given quick modifications: 1994 Ford Tempo, 1990 Toyota Camry, 1992 Buick LeSabre, 1989 GMC Sierra, 1988 Ford Taurus โข 1994 Saturn SL2 (Race Car) | One of several cars of the Asphalt Assclowns racing team, this is the car assigned to Andrea, as she personally worked on it herself. Having a few connections to Patches, this car was upgraded to the point that its 90s Budget Sedan nature can be competely overlooked. Taken to rally races, endurance races and road courses all around California, Andrea placed several times with this car, making it to bronze and silver in many cases, gold twice. While not as fast or as great as the Evo, the car itself was rather cheap and Andrea and her racing crew always have lots of fun working on it. Only taken to races, not street legal.
Andrea is an African American, who can best be described as 'slightly above average' in terms of looks and body shape. Her dark brown hair and small brown eyes complete her round face, with her toned body adding to the 'greasy mechanic' look. Her slight muscle tone, due to her working out and her once physically demanding job of being part of a NASCAR pit crew. A few burns on her arms and face come from her work, as well as several other scars along her body. She often wears an 'Asphalt Assclowns' t-shirt, some jeans, her Augmented Reality glasses and some driving gloves, but she wears the stereotypical outfit whenever she shows up to work as a part-time mechanic. When she's racing, however, she wears all of the safety equipment required, including a fireproof suit, helmet and a neck brace. Such colors of her racing suit are red and black, the colors of her racing team and her race car.
Personality โโโโโโโโ
Andrea is a kind soul, who normally has a positive attitude about her. However, due to her being raised in a sheltered household, she sees mostly everything as if she were in a movie or a TV show, often thinking of herself as a protagonist or a side character, whatever the situation she may be in. While she's willing to help out others in need, she tries to look out for herself first before she can do anything else, as often times she's been burned that way. Despite her friends in her racing team, she often feels pretty lonely, often talking to Patches in order to help her through certain scenarios. However, she's not a fighter in any sense of the word, and prefers to run...er... drive away from her problems, or at least drive through them, trying to end them as quick as possible. She tends to mask her fear with anger and swearing in order to look tough, but it's a little obvious that Andrea's a bit of a softie. She absolutely loves cars, cute things, ice cream and 80s music, but she hates politicians, management, traffic jams and unnecessary violence. She can be unnecessarily meta and accurate at times, but she tries to be positive and polite if she can be. While she doesn't drink, do drugs or resort to other vices... if she does, that means something is terribly wrong.
(( Will likely develop personality more through play ))
Character Synopsis โโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Andrea Liana Wheeler was born in 1990 in Brooklyn, New York, under two parents that she doesn't care to remember. Put up for adoption shortly after birth, a single father and card player named Joseph Wheeler took her under his wing, and raised her in New York. Shortly after she turned 4, Joseph moved to San Francisco, where he took on a new job at a game development studio. Andrea lived a relatively sheltered life growing up, getting most of her 'worldly experience' through that of movies and television, slowly giving her the mindset that her life was one big movie. Andrea's love for cars came to her when she was little, always collecting Hotwheels and Matchbox cars, playing with them on the road carpet that Joseph got her for Christmas, and she always dreamed of being a race car driver. Her idea of her life being one movie solidified in High School, where she was ousted and bullied by basic bitches and thots. However, she found some friends who were in the racing scene, and quickly joined up with them, learning how to drive at 16 and getting her license as soon as she could get it, finding her first car in a rusty ol' Pontiac Fiero. She worked on her own Fiero and her friend's racing cars, learning how to fix cars and other machines with them as she was part of their rather ragtag racing team. This racing team was affectionately referred to as the Asphalt Assclowns, as a bit of a joke, and until Andrea was 18, she worked as part of the crew for the team. When she was 18, the team was expanding, and needed new drivers. Andrea jumped on the opportunity.
Andrea's road to becoming a great driver was bumpy, but it led to greatness. Having played racing games alot as a kid, Andrea quickly learned how to drive in the racing scene, learning how to pull off all kinds of neat manuevers and stunts. She helped the Asphalt Assclowns place in various small-time races all around California, sometimes going to trips to Nevada and Oregon to place 2nd, 3rd and sometimes 1st. She found a job at 20 as a part-time mechanic in San Francisco, and worked there for several years. She had a great time and shared many great memories with her high school friends in Asphalt Assclowns, making several friends at her new job, where she brought her racing team to help with even more. Her successes in the local racing realm earned her the nickname "Slingshot", which she happily accepted and threw around jokingly. When Andrea turned 22, one of her coworkers suggested the idea of becoming part of a NASCAR Pit Crew, if Andrea wanted to become a professional race car driver. While Andrea was making chump change, she was happy where she was at, racing for a small team. However, people in that team became busy, and just as Asphalt Assclowns dissolved, she considered her friend's idea and wanted to give it a shot. SCRIM Motorsports, being based in San Fransisco, was the closest, and offered their own training programs for pit crews. Andrea and a few of her friends decided to give it a shot, shake n' bake style.
It was tough, but after some working out and some insanely intense training, Andrea and a few of her friends made it into SCRIM's NASCAR team, a few acting as technicians, and Andrea herself being one of the members of the pit crew. After taking on the job, she had a little trouble but she managed to get the hang of it. The job paid very well, but she was away from home alot, as the races her team participated in went all around the United States. She got a whole lot of first-hand knowledge and experience in tuning and fixing cars, acting as a general mechanic for SCRIM Motorsports whenever her team wasn't racing. Andrea remained part of SCRIM Motorsports for three more years without incident, helping the team win with the collaboration of her old friends and new, often goofing off with them when the time allowed it. However, when Andrea was 25, SCRIM purchased a HAT-based AI to help with driving simulations. This AI, called the Advanced Virtual Intelligence, was a versatile AI that was capable of specializing in many tasks. However, the AI purchased by SCRIM was Velocity Mk. 3, which was a driving AI that helped with racing simulations, training, vehicle diagnostics and driver virtualization. This AI was fielded by SCRIM mainly for engineering and practice runs in its first year, the programmers ironing out all of the kinks and upgrading it for NASCAR use. Since there were no rules in place for Driving AIs yet, SCRIM was allowed to get away with it on technicality. Andrea was able to get her own copy of the AI for crew use, but she wasn't allowed to take it home as it was still classified corporate property. The AI allowed SCRIM Motorsports, and by extension, Andrea, to bring their racing team up to peak performance, allowing their drivers to win several spots in the podium for many races, and earn SCRIM lots of sponsorship money. However, everything changed when SCRIM decided to incorporate the AI simulation program into the live races.
Andrea and most of the crew objected to the idea of incorporating the AI into the actual races, allowing the drivers to cheat and easily win. As it was a loophole at the time, upper management in SCRIM thought they could get away with it, but most of the crew and some of the drivers objected to the unfair advantage they had over the other teams. SCRIM forced the idea, wanting to gain the advantage and get more sponsorship deals. The NASCAR officials, however, quickly found out about the AI usage two races in after SCRIM Motorsports placed so high multiple times, and were able to lead the laps consistently. Because of this, the AI usage in a live racing capacity was banned, and SCRIM was barred from racing in officially sanctioned NASCAR events. Thanks to this debacle, a whole lot of sponsorship contracts were declared void, and a few lawsuits were filed. All of this caused SCRIM Motorsports to declare bankruptcy and fold, all of the corporate assets scuttled and sold to other motorsport companies, the AI license included. After all was said and done, Andrea and her friends lost their jobs, and returned to San Francisco, Andrea bringing a copy of the Velocity AI with her.
Andrea was 27 by the time she arrived back home in San Francisco, but due to the SCRIM scandal, she had a hard time trying to find jobs elsewhere in the professional racing industry. With nothing in San Franscisco for her to do, she decided to move to Arido Valley, where she got a job as a part time mechanic. Using the remainder of her money to get herself a nice house in Arido Valley and buy herself a new Mistubishi Lancer Evolution, she never considered using Velocity until she was stumped by one of the cars she had to fix. After hooking up Velocity, she used it's helpful ability to diagnose cars, and allow her to easily fix any problem she came across. Her boss William quickly found out about this, but thanks to his understanding nature (and profitable nature), he allowed her to use her AI (that she called "Patches") to help fix the cars. She invited a few of her friends from high school and SCRIM to the shop as it was expanding fast, and by the time Andrea turned 28, Grimm Auto Repair became one of the best-reviewed repair shops in the area. She suggested the idea to her friends to bring Asphalt Assclowns back. Her current SCRIM and old Asphalt friends were open to the idea, but they didn't have anything to work with or go by. While Andrea was making enough money to stay afloat, she wasn't nearly making enough money to bring back the racing team of old. William wanted in on the idea, and after an agreement, William became the owner and crew chief of Asphalt Assclowns, with Andrea and her friends as crew members and drivers. However, the racing team didn't start with much, and had trouble placing due to their lack of resources. At this point, the racing team was operating at a loss, as everyone was in it for the passion of racing, Andrea included. Knowing that the passion will die out once it started eating away at everyone's wallets, Andrea made a decision.
Having only been in Arido Valley for a year at this point, Andrea went into the business of some rather... illegal driving activity. Racing, getaway driving, transporting, the like. While she wasn't into the violent aspects of it, and she made a point not to work with murderers or the like, she simply just wanted to fuel the passion of racing for herself and her friends, to keep the sport of racing alive in Asphalt Assclowns. Her driving skill was awakened from the racing and the driving jobs she pulled, and while she refuses to use Patches for her racing efforts (the scandal and her personal morals making her resent the idea of cheating), she uses Patches entirely for her driving jobs, and to it's fullest extent. Because of this, she's a driver only legends can dream of. All she needs is a good car, and a destination.
Abilities and Skills โโโโโโโโโโโโโ
//Abilities:
Advanced Virtual Intelligence Velocity Mk. 4 "Patches" | Developed by HAT to be a special intelligence for flight hardware in the new F-35 program, delays in the program caused the Advanced Virtual Intelligence to be put on ice. However, the intelligence was developed for other parts to be a more generalized military intelligence, and after finding little success, turned to the civilian market. The Velocity intelligence, sold under the shell company of Hudsen Tech, was designed as an intelligence for vehicle mechanics and drivers, sold to the SCRIM Motorsports racing team and several automotive companies. SCRIM modified this intelligence to suit its needs, allowing it to perform racing simulations, diagnose vehicle problems, and help design the most efficient vehicle in terms of driving. The AI was then upgraded to be fielded in driving, in both practice and live races. However, thanks to the scandal that happened when SCRIM was discovered to be cheating with this AI, Velocity Mk. 4's license was void and SCRIM had to file for bankruptcy and fold thanks to the sponsorship deals being rescinded and the lawsuits that came after. Thanks to the suddenness of SCRIM's closure, resources weren't accounted for, allowing Andrea and several others to take copies of Velocity home. Andrea's personal copy of Velocity was tweaked to suit her needs, with several other AIs added onto it to serve as a companion. Such AI's gave it a "patched" nature, and it was nicknamed "Patches", and it served Andrea well when she worked as a mechanic and a driver.
The AI itself is housed in a supercomputer disguised as a gaming computer, and it operates through an internet connection with satellites and cell towers. Since it was built for a legal civilian market, it requires an unlimited data plan for internet services on phones and computers. The AI itself is quite fast, and operates through proprietary nodes and licensed display devices, including Andrea's augmented reality glasses that she was issued for the AI when working for SCRIM Motorsports. Patches was patched with other AI codes in order to allow it to do other things for Andrea in her life, and it became an intelligence that operated on other levels as well. Patches, while using a mainframe computer that can be backed up using cloud software, normally operates through nodes, which are smartphone-sized brick-like devices that house most of the computing and transmission hardware. Such nodes normally remain connected to the mainframe and to the internet from strong cell tower connection (or satellite connection if the antennae is extended), and is USB capable. Among its abilities are:
โข Find a Path | Patches can find a path through anywhere with anything. Calculating with the statistics given with any vehicle, person or object, it can find the most optimal route of travel from point A to point B, updating the path live with any incoming obstacle with all environmental concerns taken into account. This allows any driver to drive to their destination non-stop unscathed in the fastest amount of time. It normally uses microdrones to fulfill this role, in order to look at patterns through its onboard cameras. โข Mech Diagnostics | While it started with just cars, Patches can diagnose any problem with any mechanical device given what it can observe, and what data Patches can pull from the internet. With information properly displayed on any screen or augmented reality glasses, it could help any mechanic diagnose and solve mechanical problems, give instructions and allow them to carry out their tasks. โข Data Display | As a secondary power from the above two, Patches can collect and display any data on-board its system, or from the internet. This can range from anything from instruction manuals, documents, books, to videos, music, and other forms of media. It's search AI is almost unparalleled, and required for it's ability to help with diagnostics and data collecting for vehicles. โข Night Rider | Thanks to the other AIs added to Velocity, creating Patches, Andrea doesn't have to entirely alone in her driving job. Patches can tell jokes, hold conversations, and otherwise just be an overall robobuddy. With the nodes installed in some vehicles, Patches can speak through them, and use data collected through these nodes to quickly resolve issues. Through the nodes carried on Andrea, it can speak through radio frequencies and make calls.
Limitation(s) | Patches is severely limited by it's requirement to remain connected to the internet. If the mainframe was cut off from the internet, Andrea would lose her connection to Patches. Nodes for the AI, while capable of communicating through cell towers, radio frequencies and satellites, the latter two operate at such a delay that time-sensitive operations couldn't be carried out. So anywhere that doesn't have a cell tower within range would significantly hamper Patches' ability. While it does remain backed up to the cloud, Patches mainly operates through its nodes. If any of its nodes, whether it would be the ones Andrea carries or the ones in Andrea's vehicles, are destroyed, then Patches would lose its ability to act anywhere in that area.
Weakness(es) | Patches is an AI, and can be destroyed by simply wiping it from the mainframe or destroying the computer. It only periodically backs itself up to cloud storage, and it will take a long time to redownload and reinstall Patches from its last backed up state. While destroying the nodes can blind Patches, destroying the mainframe will temporarily kill it.
//Skills:
Queen of the Streets | Andrea's driving ability is nearly impeccable. With experience with motorcycles, sedans, pickups and SUVs, Andrea can operate with almost any civilian and low-tier racing vehicle and use it as an extension of herself in a way. She can pull a variety of very useful, fast and even dangerous stunts with them, and can use them to get anywhere from point A to point B in the quickest way possible. Having lots of experience racing on and off roads, Andrea can bring almost any street vehicle to heel, and keep it well under control. With the help of Patches, Andrea is nearly unparalleled.
Grease Monkey | Her experience as a mechanic makes her pretty good at what she does. Having worked as a normal mechanic and part of a NASCAR team, she knows how to make a car run, and run at its best. Having pushed various cars to their limit, she knows how to make them run fast, safe and smooth. Her mechanical ability allows her to have basic understanding in other parts of engineering, allowing her to apply her knowledge to fix other things too, as well as fix simple problems on the fly. However, she's not entirely good at building things, as that's what she has very limited understanding in, though she knows how to fix things pretty well. Because of this knowledge, she can easily steal just about any car, and remove their serial numbers.
Down by the River | Andrea spent some of her free time, other than working on her cars, to fish. She enjoys doing it, as it's a time when she can relax and not be stressed about what goes where and how fast she can go. She's pretty decent at fishing, and has caught a few big ones. She's used her knowledge of fishing in order to help her get familiar with some of the bodies of water in the local area, but this is mainly done as a hobby, rather than a sport.
Joseph Wheeler - 54, Male. A loving single father and an avid card-playing duelist, this angry man from Brooklyn works as a game dev in San Francisco, mainly developing card games, and sometimes even car games, thanks to input from his adopted daughter. Having been with Andrea most of her waking life, Joseph helped Andrea with almost anything, ranging from her homework to her depression. With his help, Andrea was able to have a somewhat positive attitude, and he made sure to keep toxic folk away from Andrea. While he is well aware of Andrea's racing life, and they do keep in touch very often, he is unaware of Andrea's criminal life, believing Andrea works part time as a mechanic and a driver, and sometimes races cars for the Asphalt Assclowns racing team. He's been really supportive of her passions, and helped her through the tough time when she was unemployed as a result of the SCRIM scandal. He continues to develop games, and continues to talk with his now distant daughter who lives in Arido Valley.
Grimm Auto Repair / Asphalt Assclowns Racing Team - Andrea works part time at Grimm Auto Repair, and her boss (William, 49 M) there is a very supportive and understanding individual. Will runs both the Auto Repair Shop and the Asphalt Assclowns racing team, using the team to help adverise his little-known but well-regarded auto repair shop. His employees, and by extension, the rest of the Asphalt Assclowns Racing Team are both Andrea's old friends from High School and SCRIM Motorsports, who were hired thanks to their skill in racing scene, allowing them to do quick and accurate auto repairs. The whole racing team is a friendly group of men and women who share a passion for cars and racing, and thanks to Andrea's work and Will's business, they are able to keep their passions running, even at at a loss. Like Andrea's father, however, they are unaware of her criminal activity, and simply believe that she works part time as a legal driver as well. They are aware of the AI she uses, and Will uses a copy of the AI given to him by the Ex-SCRIM employees to help run his business. They currently participate in races in the local area, hoping to rise back to prominence and become a big auto racing team on their own.
Ever since I first heard about this a week or so back, I've been trying to relocate this thread.
There's three possible characters I'm considering.
One is Professor Drake, hero with dragonic properties, but who can appear human as needed. Goes around as a hero for hire, doing good.
Serene Light, who I've done twice before, but I'd probably splice between her variants so far, to make her more usuable. But I'm not sure how to go about with her.
A third, unspecified character, not sure yet. Perhaps a Rockroid, but that means the GMs being okay with me drawing something direct from my personal works. I'm really iffy there, though Rockverse canon has their core world being the opposite end of their galaxy from Earth.
That is, if its all fine with me joining period? I'm also open to ideas, such as variants on what I said. I'm a sucker for superhero stuff, tbh.

Regarding Professor Drake, you might want to consider one of the other abilities you listed depending on what qualities he takes, as reptilian physiology and pyromancy are currently occupied. I suggest reading the current roster of accepted sheets before finalizing what you decide to write for your sheet.
Weโre definitely open my man. We dont have any issue with you taking from your personal stuff so long as it is done with respect to the setting. For reference, the power level weโre going for is around Marvelโs Defenders with Luke Cageโs power level being an upper limit. Also, feel free to join our discord and message any of us GMs directly. We save our final judgement for a submitted sheet, but weโll certainly try to steer you towards acceptable.
And sure, I can browse the sheets, though Discord is still...something I'm nervous about joining. I mean I have Discord and use it constantly, moreso the stage fright of joining the community Discord.
Yeah, I read the power level thing, if I brought in something from my personal works, it'd be one of the lower end examples, since my personal pet project of Prime Rockverse has a variety of power levels. I suppose a way to move ahead would be to ask, what's a power set that you'd like to see present, that hasn't appeared yet? I could try and craft a character around that.
Thanks for being so open armed, I'm still adjusting here, and well, yeah, means a lot, especially for a long time rper who kinda just came here from the collapsing void of another site. Still trying to figure out how to mass save all my work from there, so I can put it to work in various rps here. Sorry if it seems like I'm rambling, I get that way when nervous I guess.

The Discord is entirely optional, so if you decide you want to join it you're welcome to hop in. If not, no big deal. You're still welcome to PM @Lord Wraith, @Hillan, and I and we'd all be happy to help in any way we can.
We dont really have any suggestions. Personally, creative powers that you dont see often like in @Skai's sheet excite me. You can probably answer your other questions with this handy dandy post Wraith has made. The sheets will have more detail, of course.
@DocRock Welcome to the Guild! Please donโt feel nervous about joining the Discord. Itโs mostly shitposting. RP discussion happens every now and then as well.
