Username: Parks Real Name: Kip Ayway Gender: In: Male RL: Male Race: Elf Age: 22 Class: Summoner Subclass: Noble Level: 90 Appearance:
Parks went in hard on the fairy theme of his main, setting the height bar to minimum for the elven race and softening the features as much as possible to give an androgynous look to his character. He stands at about 4'7, with a lithe build and longer, black hair. His armor changes from Greens, reds, golds, and blues depending on which skill set he has selected with his Crown of the Fairy King, which is just a tangled vine that blooms flowers or leaves or even appears barren depending on the season. Source
Background: A college drop out with a half completed theater degree and a history of being active only online and not in the gym, Kip was slowly losing steam for real life. Between Dungeons and Dragons games 4 nights a week and running a roleplay guild on Elder Tales, it was amazing that he managed to stay afloat with his apartment but he always came through with rent that he shared with his 3 roommates. He didn’t even know them, and they just knew him as the guy who doesn’t talk.
He would work jobs online, tutoring high schoolers in math he just googled the answers to, writing essays for lazy college students, and even setting up a patreon for his guild that honestly just went to his own pocket. He wasn’t really doing much in the upward movement category of living.
His family supported him but he was more worried about himself to really worry about them. He would go to family events and holidays but overall he wasn't too close with anyone in particular.
In Game History: After the Apocalypse Parks was one of the first people to stand up and assume a new identity inside of the game. They were always eager to start role-playing and acting in character beforehand and now given the opportunity to live out the life of a character he fully adopted a new lifestyle almost entirely throwing out his old personality in favor of his new Parks style personality. He used his status as a leader of a large and fairly popular, as in not universally hated not as an gigantic, guild to quickly assume a little bit of power over a few of the adventures who would listen. And while not his idea he did help champion the idea of the North Wen Alliance following his good friend who headed the Knights of Bahamut.
He tended to mingle with the people the land a bit more than the average user using his subclass of noble to get in with most people of the land quite easily. He used this as a bargaining chip, which gave him an edge over the others in the North Wen Alliance when it came to treating with people of the land and became their go to guy for that area of politics. He is notorious for going a bit too far with his roleplaying, but never far enough that complaints of his position in the Alliance have been made.
Guild/Position: Neon Colossus, Founder
Personality: In game, Parks is very flighty. He tends to treat everything like it’s all a play, dramatically moving his entire body when he speaks, standing up when he needs to make a point and using his summons to aid in lighting his backdrops. He longs for spotlights, but in battle prefers to let others be seen, not one to soak up damage but to deal it from the back while his summons (who he calls his children) do all the work. He treats most people as if they were somehow nobles as well and flatters all who he can. He has received many a slap after a misinterpreted interaction convinced him the love of his life was nearby. He tends to crack under pressure and drop the facade and shift back to his real self, less witty and quiet, letting others figure things out for him, because let's be honest if he was good at strategy he would make his Parks persona good at it too. Once he’s back in character, he will 100% try to take credit for some part of the plan.
Skills: Most of Parks’ skills are summons, being a summoner and all.
Dryad: Summons a nature spirit that can hold down 2 enemies at once, covering them in thorny wooden vines that break in 5 hits.
Fairy Swarm: Summons a hoard of small (about 6" tall) pixies that move in a cloud to distract foes for a short time. They raise critical hit chance for the attackers and lower accuracy for the targets.
Eladrin: This skill has 4 versions, summoning a spring Eladrin will create a green elven warrior that will taunt nearby enemies to attacking it, vanishing after one hit. Fall Eladrin will summon a red and brown elven priestess who will heal allies near it for 15% of their HP before vanishing. A summer Eladrin will appear as a gold elf warrior, attacking targets for 10 seconds. A winter Eladrin will appear as a blue and white elven warrior that will cast a gust of icy wind in a cone, damaging and slowing those in its wake.
Fey Step: Parks will teleport about 30 feet, scaring, charming, burning or teleporting someone instead depending on what season he has selected for his Crown of the Fairy King
Minor Summons: Summon elemental fairies to do a number of simple things based on nature. Be it setting things on fire, growing plants to hinder movement, create gusts of wind, freeze things, or mimic certain minor spells from other classes. These all come with a slightly longer cast time, due to the summon appearing and then casting the spell.
Mirror Image: Parks makes 2 more of himself that deal next to no damage but lose health at the normal rate.
Basic magic attacks, no other effects than elemental damage.
Equipment: Oberon’s Vestments: A cloth armor for the summoner class that allows access to alternate fey-like skins for many summons, but does not change their abilities and stats. Consists of 5 pieces including a staff. All together, this Phantasmal level armor class boosts mana by a huge 50%, allows for aggro manipulation, stronger and longer lasting summons, and four aesthetics!
Puck's Boots: A pair of boots that allow the caster to duplicate themselves in order to redirect aggro and cause targeted attacks to miss. These illusions are described in Mirror Image
Armor of the Archfey: A cloth armor piece that takes up the torso and leg slot of an armor set that adds a massive boost to the users mana pool and boosting the damage of elemental summons when used in the correct seasons. (Fire and Acid/summer, Lightning and Wind/spring, Ice and Necrotic/Winter, Earth and Poison/Fall)
Oberon’s Story Book: A high level summoner grimoire themed after a book of fairy tales that allows the adventurer to summon small helper fairies to do automated tasks based on type, be it Maids, Gardeners, or other non-combat specialties. It was useful for automated grinding but now seems to have more uses, as the fairies have personality, and should they stay on task can prove helpful.
Titania's Gloves: These white gloves never get dirty and provide summons with a 15% longer duration! Also stylish
Changeling's Coat: This coat is said to be able to change one's appearance at will. In game it lowers aggro chance by 30% and once every 90 seconds the user can transfer aggro to another player of their choice.
Crown of the Fairy King: The final piece of the Oberon item set, it allows the user to cast the spell “Fey Step” and choose from the four seasons to change its effects. Also allows the wearer to change the style and color of Oberon’s Vestments.
Bag of Holding: A basic item every player gets at level 15 Theme song:
Fun Facts: Parks went after the Fairy King item set after finding his own summons bland, only choosing it due to the new skins and palate change it offered him. He has since embraced his status as a fairy summoner.
Name: Ragar Stormfang Race: Wolf Fang Class: Guardian Level: 92 Subclass: Knight Brief Appearance: Standing at 6'5, this hulk of a man blocks out the sun with his anime size great sword and shining platinum plate armor. He has draconic symbols on everything he owns to represent Bahamut. He Has silver hair and eyes, a jolly build, not overly muscled but more of a power lifter physique. Brief Personality: The nicest man in game, according to Parks at least. He acts as the head of a roleplaying guild that now acts as the police of the realm, assisting those in need and protecting the weak. He cares more about others than himself, having visited the cathedral more times than he would like to count in order to save another player. He can be seen leading by example, on the front line of most fights with a banner and several devoted followers in tow. Brief History: Captain Ragar was one of the founding members of the North Wen Alliance, and heading a large raiding guild that focused on protection and tanks, he was a sure fit to lead the soon to be police of the cleftlands. He spent his first month doing nothing but escorting newer players in areas known player killers roamed, taking them out to keep the world in line, but nowadays finds himself too wrapped up politically to go out and protect the people he's sworn to help. Guild: The Knights of Bahamut, Founder.
Name: Sigil-Master Garkan Race: Half-Alv Class: Enchanter Subclass: Sigilmancer Level: 92 Brief Appearance: While being at the maximum height of his race at around 5' 6", everything else about Garkan screams the appearance of a traditional mage. His character sports a dark cloak with a hood that hides his slender figure. Garkan's face is pointed, and lacks physical mass. In regards to age, the avatar looks to be a young adult, perhaps in his mid-20s. Brief Personality: Being the cynical man he is, Garkan is often considered to be sarcastic and bitter. He often has a wisecrack, and speaks down on nearly everyone he meets (Cassio included). However, he is one of the most knowledgeable players in Elder Tales, especially when it comes to his subclass. Garkan has been attempting to figure out how to craft mythical items his entire life, and the rumored Artifact-level Sunblade and Moonblade are the latest items on his list. He's incredibly focused on the creating of these swords, and won't quit trying to get them crafted. Brief History: Garkan is well-known in particular communities for his focus on being the first to help create mythical items. Being a Sigilmancer, his skills are required by many to help give crafted items the extra "magical breath of life" that makes them properly powerful. In the past month, he has helped Garkan finish crafting his current swords while leading the charge on finding the locations for the materials for the Sunblade and Moonblade. Within The Blades, he acts as the unofficial second-in-command despite being the only non-swordsmith. He has other side projects he is working on, and works with various other guilds as necessary. Guild: The Blades, member
Name: Sam Smith Username: Teenyone Race: Fox Tail Class: Sorcerer ( Combat Rage ) Subclass: Avenger Level:20
Brief Appearance: 14 and 4ft8, Sam is a tiny little thing compared to many other adventurers. She is one of a pair of identical twins. Pale skin and near pure white hair, her ears and tail match this. Like her sister, she often prefers to have these new additions visible. She wears a set of simple grey robes that hide most everything below the neck.
Brief Personality: The more aggressive of the twins, Sam is much louder and more outgoing than her twin. She is a very aggressive fighter, and often forgets her own level when it comes to trying to protect her friends. She is never seen far from her sister, and is often standing in front of her, as if taking a protective stance.
Brief History: Born across the street from the Hare family, the twins easily liked their neighbors. Long time friends of Miss Hare's daughter, the pair quickly learned about Elder Tale and bugged their parents until they were able to play. Quite obviously they stuck to The Fang Family, and most often MamaFang herself. When the world changed, they were lucky enough to have logged out in The Fang Family guild hall, and waited patiently for MamaFang to return. In the month following, Sam found herself abandoning her previous subclass of Apprentice, and adopting the Avenger Subclass in an effort to find a way to keep her sister safe.
Guild: The Fang Family
Name: Elisabeth Smith Username: Teenytwo Race: Fox Tail Class: Druid ( Witch Doctor ) Subclass: Apprentice ( Chef ) Level:20
Brief Appearance: Much like her sister, Elisabeth is one of a pair of identical twins. This mirrors their in-game avatars very closely. They have pale skin and near pure white hair, with matching ears and tail that Elisabeth too tends to allow be seen. Elisabeth herself wears a set of light pink robes that reach down to her shins that are otherwise unremarkable.
Brief Personality:Unlike her sister, Elisabeth is a quiet girl dedicated to helping anybody she can. She has a love of the support classes, owing to her hatred of harming anything, let alone people. She is a lover of reading and cooking, a main reason why she decided to take the Apprentice Subclass and study under MamaFang. She is protective of her sister as well, albeit not in such an outward way.
In the month following, Elisabeth focused her attention on improving her knowledge of her skills, if there would ever be a time when she is needed, she would be sure that she knew exactly what she could do.
Guild: The Fang Family
Name: Maria Username:Twitchy1 Race: Human Class: Swashbuckler ( Gladiator ) Subclass: Butler Level: 87 Brief Appearance: 5ft7 with short cut hair, Maria's avatar is a very close resemblance to herself in real life. She is visibly young at 17 years of age. Her armor is a full set known as " The Gladiator's Garb " It increases her survivability by giving her a small hp and mp regen buff for each successful hit she makes on the same target, and for each hit she takes she receives a small physical or magical defense buff depending on what she is attacked with making short lived burst damage most effective.
Brief Personality:Pessimistic and aggressive, she is loyal to only one person, MamaFang, and by default TinyFang. Her subclass as Butler was chosen due to her wanting to repay the debt she feels she owes MamaFang for introducing her to the game she so dearly loves. Outwardly, she is all business but inside is where all the emotions lie, secretly she has a crush on TinyFang.
Brief History:With the loss of the use of her legs at age seven, she barely remembers ever walking in the first place. While not living near MamaFang, she met her in an online forum discussing the release of Elder Tale. She was very active in the forums and easily made freinds with MamaFang, who even bought the game for her. She was surprised by this act of kindness and vowed to repay it. She ended up taking on the Butler Subclass and becoming a high ranking Officer of The Fang Family.
In the first month of the new release, she spent most of her times in a chair in The Fang Family hall, after all it takes more than a sudden change of scenery to learn how to walk. After learning to walk without crutches, she still spent most of her time in The Fang Family hall, directing the important business so that MamaFang could focus on more personal matters.
Username: Ch0p Ch0p "Chopper" Real Name: Ntaj Yaj Gender: Female (In Game), Male (Out of Game) Age: 22 Race: Ritian Class: Youxia Subclass: Food Fighter Level: 76 Appearance:
Background: Ntaj was just a young college student playing Elder Tales when the apocalypse happened. He didn't have much going on with him; he was just an average Joe playing games for fun. Something of a roleplayer, though he's never really stuck to a community long enough to be remembered. His only noticeable trait is his love for sea food; a big fan of sushi, crustaceans, and other barnacles. There is something about him however that's not quite normal; before the apocalypse happened he was using a VPN to take his characters into different servers in order to obtain unique items in different dungeons for his build. He was in the middle of one such excavation when the Apocalypse happened, trapping him in the America server. Stuck in America, he's now gotta figure out what to do with himself.
In Game History: So far things aren't too bad here in America. Having already obtained 3/5 of the items he needs for his build, he's been debating journeying to the other lands to obtain the rest of his equipment. However travel is difficult due to the turmoil across the land; even if he tries to travel on his own, he'll often get overwhelmed and forced to retreat or even killed. And so now Ch0p Ch0p, also known as "Chopper", has been doing mercenary work in an attempt to form a party willing to accompany him on his world-wide treasure hunt.
Guild/Position: No Guild
Personality: Easy going but ambitious. Chopper doesn't seem to have much in the ways of a goal in life, but when he sets his sights on something, he'll often go above and beyond to obtain it. Still he keeps himself in check and tries not to get obsessed over things out of his reach. He has enough self-awareness to realize when it's time to work on long term goals and when it's time to accomplish short term things. Doesn't particularly care for politics in the sense that he'll get involved, but if asked he would have some passionate opinions about it. A darker side of him is a manipulator and cheater; all too willing to spread rumor and insults about others, but doesn't have the courage to face them head on. At least not without stacking the odds in his favor first. A self-proclaimed liar who enjoys the paradox of telling honest lies to mess with people, obfuscate his true purpose, and generally try to seem more interesting than he isn't. Rather enjoys being a girl too.
Class Skills: Vacuum Slash - A weak range attack that sends out a blade of air pressure, good for getting the attention of foes too far to attack in melee. Big Whirlwind Slash - A melee AoE attack that does heavy damage to all foes around Chopper, though it has a long cooldown. Whirlwind Vacuum Slash - A wide-range AoE attack that causes enemies around Chopper to become paralyzed for a few moments. Also a very long cooldown. Dihngwōng Fósehk - A unique ability from the Youxia class. This ability allows for rapid fire strikes that, while doing no additional damage, will guarantee to hit the opponent first even if Chopper and her opponent attack at the same time or even if her opponent is statistically faster than her. Highly accurate and has a high priority over other attacks. Can be chained with other skills. Màahngon - When Chopper strikes an enemy with this skill, it changes their health equal to Chopper's own percentage, even if she is at a higher health then her opponent. Useful for against allies an enemies; if she's at low health she could strike an enemy with this attack and make them just as wounded as she is, or if she's at high health she can hit an ally and bring them up to her strength. However this ability has a long cool down. Gitsaht - A passive ability. If Chopper is brought down to 0% health when she is at 100% health, she is instead brought down to 1% and can immediately retaliate with a single attack or ability. She cannot use this ability again however until she is back to 100% health. Sīnchéung Sīnyìhng - A counter skill, if Chopper is being attacked by a melee skill, she can immediately cancel the skill and attack using the same skill. However it has a very long cool down and can't be used on the same skill twice in a row. Sīnkyut - A defensive skill that allows Chopper to know specifically what kind of attack is going to be aimed at him and increase his dodge chance to avoid it entirely, even if it's an Area-of-effect attack. While it has a low cool down, successive use of this ability deceases it's effectiveness and making any sort of offensive move will remove all the evasion bonuses.
Subclass Skills: Glutton - Consume items faster. Iron Stomach - Nullifies the effect of poison. Taste of a God - Appraise items by their taste.
Racial Skills: Activation - A special skill that forcibly activates your whole body and mind through the powers of a full-body rune. This allows for the usage of skills or spells in rapid succession. Overdrive - A natural ability that activates a rune found on Ritians, granting them a vast amount of magical power for a duration of time. It is the trump card of the Race of Rituals that cannot be used often. Tattoo Pattern: Empress - Using the magical power of a tattoo that symbolizes prosperity, you can create a shield to protect yourself. Tattoo Pattern: Strength - Using the magical power of a tattoo that symbolizes bravery, unleash a barrage of destructive attacks with increased power. (Boosts Physical Attack) Tattoo Pattern: Chariot - Using the magical power of a tattoo that symbolizes conquest, speed yourself up by reducing cooldown time. Tattoo Pattern: Magician - Using the magical power of a tattoo that symbolizes creativity, strengthen the power of your magical spells. (Boosts Magical Attack) Talismonger - Grants proficiency in using magical equipment (i.e. staves, tomes, etc. and not the equip grade). For the Race of Rituals who have been created by magic, they can use these items as though they are extensions of their own bodies. Lore of Ritual - Profound knowledge is inherited by Ritians, granting them great wisdom.
Theme song:
Equipment: Dragon's Enlightenment - A unique set consisting of five items: Gauntlets, Boots, Headgear, Body Armor, and a Cloak. Each item comes with a unique ability and a skill, however these features can only be used when the character is using no other items except ones part of the Dragon's Enlightenment. However they can use weapons and accessories unrelated to the set without incurring these drawbacks. Thus, Chopper has less-than-normal stats due to not using any sort of body armor or cloak accessory, otherwise she won't gain the benefits of her current incomplete set.
Dragon Roar - A unique head armor that gives her winged dragon ears. While wearing this armor she has a heighten sense of sound but also a greater resistance against sound-based effects such as sonic attacks or magic songs. This helmet also gives Chopper a unique skill called the Dragon's Roar which is a wide range AoE that causes the enemy to become deafen and fearful. It has a very long cooldown. Wyvern's Might - A unique pair of gauntlets shaped like a dragon's claws. These claws allow Chopper to do unarmed strikes with her claws. In addition these gauntlets have a skill called Wyvern's Might which allows Chopper's melee attacks to do at least 2% of damage equal to the enemy's health even if their skills or abilities would have otherwise nullified the damage. It has a very long cooldown. Wyrm Step - Unique leg armor that actually mutates the body so that Chopper grows a tail. While the tail lacks prehensile ability, it can be used to help maintain her balance and gives Chopper a bonus for anything requiring acrobatics or maintaining her balance. The unique skill of the Wyrm Step allows Chopper to choose a specific target, and towards that target Chopper will move so quickly that they cannot use counter or retaliation attacks against her. Has a short cooldown, however it can only be used on one target at a time.
Shell Bell - An uncommon low level items that introduces the idea of health absorption for aspiring Scarlet Knights. Attacks made by the user equipped with a Shell Bell restores health equal to 1/8 of the damage dealt. Fairly weak compared to higher tier accessories, but it's the only one that Chopper needs thanks to it's low rarity making it easy to stockpile.
Bardiche - A seemingly plain bardiche. While magically enchanted to do additional damage and being more durable, there isn't really anything unique about it. Chopper just likes it and hopes to one day find some way to upgrade it into something more fearsome.
Fun Facts: Chopper's primary goal is to seek out the Dragon's Enlightenment, a set of five items that will grant her great power when they're all used together. Currently she has obtained the helmet, gloves, and boots. All she needs now is the armor and the cloak. The only trouble is that each piece is located in different country-locked servers; ideally Chopper can trade for them, however now she needs to personally go and travel to these distant lands if she wants to complete the set. Chopper's real character, Ntaj, currently lives in Thailand and has been altering his VPN in order to freely switch to different servers around the world to make it easier for him to get the items, but alas he was in America when he got stuck in the game. He first obtained the Wyvern's Might in the Chinese Server, the Dragon's Roar in the Yamato Server, and the Wyrm Step in the North America server. He knows the cloak is in the West Europe Server, however the chest armor he isn't too sure about. Last he heard before he was stuck in Elder Tale was that it could be found in the Russian server, but he never found out where or how.
Ch0p Ch0p isn't the only account Ntaj has. He actually had a few Bot accounts that were also being used when he got trapped in the Elder Tales. He's not sure what happened to them and he's never found them. Last he knew was that they were in the Chinese Server gold farming.
Username: MamaFang Real Name: Dorothy Hare Gender: Female ( In and out of game ) Age: 39 Race: Wolf Fang Class: Guardian ( Fortress Build ) Subclass: Chef Level: 92 Appearance: 6ft7 and very clearly well built, her tail is most often hidden beneath her armor but her ears are the same color as her hair, making them sometimes difficult to detect in the waving mass of pale blonde. Her armor is not quite as high level or powerful as it could be, but is nevertheless extremely sturdy and well maintained by her husband, whose character is/was a blacksmith. Visually, when one gets a look at MamaFang, they typically think back to the Crusaders of old, albeit with a tinge of fantasy added in with the addition of the massive great-shield.
Background: A stay at home mother, Dorothy had always been a NEET. In her youth she stayed inside and happily watched as the world of technology grew around her. While many people her age were getting jobs or thinking about relationships, Dorothy was hidden inside with her childhood friend and soon to be husband Jacob. At 19 the pair moved in together, with Jacob providing most of the income while Dorothy did her best as she tried to fulfill her dream of becoming an internet personality. At age 21, Dorothy found she was pregnant. The birth of the little girl was the highest point of Dorothy's life, and it was only now that she realized what people meant when they had been telling her about their children. When her little girl was 5, Dorothy happily watched her grow up, albeit a bit disappointing that she did not show any real interest in the world of gaming until the release of Elder Tale, and even then only played sporadically. Nevertheless Dorothy was happy, and determined to find that spark hidden within her daughter and bring it to life.
In Game History: Pure Chaos, while she had logged on with her daughter, it took her a week before she finally found her. The rest of this month was spent doing what MamaFang did best, rounding up the terrified and confused newer players and helping them cope and learn with the world around them. MamaFang adjusted frighteningly quickly, her instincts as a mother kicking in as she realized she needed to keep calm and collected if she and her little girl were going to get through this at all.
Guild/Position:(Guildmaster) The Fang Family, before the game became all too realistic, The Fang Family was a guild dedicated to helping newer players learn about the world around them and how it worked before being tricked into a guild, or simply making an ill informed decision. Though technically one of the larger guilds on the server, with nearly 90% of it's population fluctuating and being players below 30, it is by no means a powerful guild, influential? Yes, many larger guilds either left them alone or even allied with them, as a new recruit from The Fang Family meant they would spent less time and resources training and teaching. There was also the fact that The Fang Family heavily influenced the newer players, and if any one guild seemed to be overly hostile The Fang Family could redirect the flow of newer players away from them and into better suited guilds.
Personality: Loud, protective, nagging, If ever a party needed a mother MamaFang was always it. She fussed about her teammates, always making sure she could keep them safe in any respect she could. Her build reflects this, using armor and skills that allow her to become the focus of a fight and keep her allies safe. She is a calm and collected individual during combat, always keeping an eye on those around her, be they enemy or ally.
Skills: Shield Swing:Wielding a Shield, rush into an enemy and deal a heavy blow to an opponent. This skill consumes slightly more MP, but has a wider range of effect; if correctly positioned, the user can hit multiple enemies. The damage output of this skill depends on the Shield's Defense stat.
Taunting Blow:Increase Hate towards yourself while attacking by using large gestures. A basic skill of Guardians who play the True Shield role.
Anchor Howl:Establish yourself as a threat to the enemy by raising a loud cry, a powerful Guardian provocation skill that instantaneously raises your own Hate. Since you are taking the brunt of the enemy's attacks, you gain a DEF boost for a short while, a reason why Guardians are good on the front lines. While defense is increased, the Guardian's armor glows.
Castle of Stone:Become the pinnacle of defense, an immobile fortress of stone that can take all damage for a short duration. It is one of the strongest defense skills, exclusive to Guardians. When this skill is in effect, the user's body looks like it is made of marble.
Covering:Before enemies can get too close, stand in their way to defend another member of your team and take the damage for them, another signature skill of the Guardian class. Because you have to be in position before activating the skill, the party's formation is important.
Cool Defense:Be a calm and reassuring defense in any situation. Reduce any damage taken by a certain percent during the duration of this skill. The effect increases with the amount of damage taken, but also uses up MP, so most people use it in a short duration of time when under heavy attack.
Fortress Stance:Turn into a weaponless, defense-oriented, steadfast fortress. You cannot be pushed back by or wince at an opponent's attack, and your defense increases. Useful in long, drawn-out battles against multiple opponents. A blue aura manifests at your feet when this skill is in use.
Steady Bulwark:Ready your shield in a defensive pose to reduce damage. A dome-shaped light encases your allies within a certain range, applying the damage reduction effect to them as well. The higher the Defense of your shield, the greater the effect of this skill.
Resilience:Showing the durability of a Guardian's strong body, recover HP during battle as if you were resting. HP is gradually recovered, but not at the rate of a Druid's heal-over-time spells. It is useful for continuing long battles, though.
Armor Crash:Using a heavy weapon such as an Axe or Hammer, deal a heavy blow on an opponent's armor and lower their ATK and DEF.
Equipment:
The Crusader's Skin set consists of 4 pieces to gain the full effect, with an optional 5th piece ( Weapon )
1 Item - Base hp pool is increased by 25%
2 Items - Crowd control effects such as slows, silences and stuns only last half as long on you.
3 Items - Healing skills used on you also restore an additional .5% of your total mana pool. Healing effects that take place over time can only proc this effect 4 times per skill.
4 Items - Your total defense rating is increased by 25% and every 60 seconds, any healing skill used on you removes 2 seconds from any skills currently on cooldown.
__________ Crusader's Vengance: The Fifth and optional piece of the " Crusader's Skin " set, " Crusader's vengeance is a 3 sphere flail. Basic attacks made by " Crusader's Vengance " ignore 10% of the target's total defense rating, and grants access to the weapon skill " Readied Flail. "
Readied Flail: You move your flail in a circular motion, speeding up as time goes on and slowing your movement speed by 15% up to 20% as the skill is 'Charged' once charged, the flail strike ignores 15% of a target's defense value and causes a 5 second 30% slow. Targets wearing medium or light armor are bled for 20 points every second for 3 seconds for each sphere that strikes them. Targets wearing heavy armor will instead be stunned for 2 seconds for each sphere that successfully makes contact, preventing the use of abilities.

Fun Facts:
Username: TinyFang Real Name: Samantha Hare Gender: Female ( In and out of game ) Age: 18 Race: Wolf Fang Class: Cleric ( Armored Cleric ) Subclass: War Priest Level: 48 Appearance: 5ft9 with long blonde hair often pulled back into a ponytail, TinyFang is like, as the name implies, a much smaller version of her mother. Her tail and ears match her hair color, and are more often on display than her mother. Her armor and weapons are simple, but well made. A thick chain-mail shirt over a thicker cloth gambeson, a solid iron shield and a single headed iron flail.
Background: Born into a family of gamers, Samantha never really saw the appeal. She was more interested in running track or writing. Though, when Elder Tale came out, and she watched her mother play it, she slowly gained an interest in the fantastic world of gaming. New to the scene, she played rarely, and often with the help of her mother. Even at level 48 she still has yet to properly get used to gaming, and often forgets to check her own hp bar, use skills, ect. Nevertheless she is slowly learning, and when by her mother's side she is surprisingly effective.
In Game History: Pure unadulterated terror. The game was fun, but if anybody had told her this would happen, she would simultaneously laugh and avoid the game completely. She had no idea how some people were taking things so well, just a week apart from her mother nearly gave her a heart attack. Eventually though, she learned to ignore her fear and confusion and went to work helping her mother with the players somehow newer than her, some being somehow even younger.
Guild/Position:The Fang Family / Member
Personality: Confusion, Loyalty, a giant heart. TinyFang always does her best to help, though she often ignores her own safety to do so. If putting herself in harm's way means helping somebody else, then she will happily do so. She enjoys sweets
Skills: Cure: A close range skill that removes debuffs and heals for a tiny amount. The amount of debuffs removed depends on the level of the caster compared to that of the one who had applied the debuffs.
Healing light: A short ranged healing skill with a short cool-down that heals a single target for a fixed amount depending on user level. Even at higher levels this skill is outclassed by other healing skills, but it's short cool-down makes it a favorite of TinyFang, who often forgets cool-downs exist anyways.
Shield Bash: A skill taken from the Guardian class using the War Priest subclass, the user moves forwards and slams their shield into a target, providing a very short stun that might do very little in the way of crowd control, but can effectively interrupt casting or distract a single target.
Steady Bulwark: A skill taken from the Guardian Class using the War Priest subclass, The user readies their shield in a defensive posture to reduce damage and encases allies within a certain range to the sides and behind in a dome shaped light, reducing damage done to them as well. This skill uses a steady amount of MP for the entire duration of it's use, instead of using a flat number, making up for it's short cooldown.
Healing Presence: A passive skill, Allies within a short range of the cleric gain a small HP regen buff. Though not enough to completely replace another real healing skill, this is a rather effective skill no matter the level as most of it's scaling comes from the individuals who gain the buff depending on their total HP. So no matter your level, Healing presence's buff effectively restores 1% of the total HP pool every three seconds, making it a powerful tool in long winded fights as it uses nearly no mana, only stunting base mana regeneration. Allies under the effect of this skill gain a small light blue plus sign on their chests.
Equipment:

Rank-2 Both you an your ally gain 10% increased armor value, and you gain a 15% movement speed increase when moving in their direction.
Rank-3 Both you and your ally have increased mana regen, and half of the healing done to your ally is copied onto you.
Username: C4ss10 "Cassio" Real Name: William Jones Gender: Male Age: 38 Race: Half-Alv Class: Swashbuckler Subclass: Swordsmith Level: 90 Appearance:
Cassio's avatar appears to be a younger male with gray hair. He wears simplistic clothing that seems to resemble business attire. In fact, Cassio refuses to wear actual armor, instead using magical items that are modified to appear mundane. He keeps this relatively unassuming presence to allow opponents to underestimate him, while also giving him the added presence of having to rely almost entirely on pure skill to accomplish his goals.
Background: Will first learned of Elder Tales when he was a senior in high school. Him and his friends signed up early on for the Beta, and were able to secure decent usernames as a result. Will was a Shakespearean nerd, choosing a relatively obscure Othello reference as his username. The kids ended up forming a guild on the MMO called the Arcanian Vanguards so that they could stay connected when life tore them away physically. They were about twenty-five strong at the most. By the time of the Catastrophe, there were only eleven active members of the guild.
Outside of playing Elder Tales, Will was the "Community Development Manager" for his alma mater's theater department. He had graduated from the university with degrees in advertising and film. He was a husband to his high school sweetheart (and former member of the Guild), and had two children. He would dedicate as much of his spare time as he could playing Elder Tales to ensure that he could keep his levels up for raids. He was the first to reach the level cap in the guild, and is considered one of the best Swordsmiths on the server before the Catastrophe.
In Game History: The greatest disappointment Cassio faced during the catastrophe was realizing that no members of his guild were online. His friends, most of whom he'd known since childhood, were completely separated from him. Being the only online member of the Arcanian Vanguards, Cassio quickly disbanded the Guild and moved to start a new guild, The Blades. He reached out to every Swordsmith he could locate through his contacts, and started up the relatively small guild. He's spent most of his time training up his members in Swordsmithing, while also working to begin his slow climb upwards through fighting and adventuring.
Guild/Position: Guild Master of the Blades
The Blades is the premiere Swordsmith guild of the North American Server. Will, upon realizing his other friends weren't online, started the guild shortly after the start of the Catastrophe in order to keep himself busy and in an attempt to grant any Swordsmiths the chance to train and gather together to develop their skills and trade their products. The Guild is relatively small, given how unpopular the Swordsmith subclass is.
Number of Members: 28
Personality: Cassio is highly trained and regimented in regards to his play-style. He is a min-maxer, and has dedicated himself to optimizing his skills and mastering his craft. As a result, Cassio seemed distant to most when he played "for fun" over the years. More recently, Cassio's nature as a father has become more apparent. He is nurturing of the skills of lower-level players, taking as many in under his wing over the past month. When he interacts with other guilds or participates in quests, his old tendencies to communicate only when necessary and focus solely on completing the objective reign supreme.
A Goal that he has placed for himself is to create two swords that have been deemed only a rumor: the Sun Blade and the Moon Blade. Some minor rumors in dialogue trees, minor quests, and deep diving into game files years ago hinted that they could exist. Part of Cassio's reason for establishing The Blades was to determine if it was possible and how these twin blades could be crafted or located. He's recently picked up a reliable lead, but it would require journeying far from his guild's current location to pick up specific components.
Swashbuckler Skills: Early Thrust: A skill that can only be used when a combat encounter first begins, or before it begins. Does a moderate amount of damage, and places three marks. Razor Edge: Interrupts a target's casting of a spell. Moderate cooldown. Places a mark. Viper's Thrash: A powerful DOT (Damage over Time) skill that forces bleed damage and reduces the target's accuracy. Places a mark. Snake Bites: Reduces Target's Accuracy. Can stack up to 4 times on each target. Places a Mark Lightning Step: Teleports user behind target in a flash of light. Moderate Cooldown. Whirlwind: Basic AOE attack that deals moderate damage to nearby enemies. Moderate Cooldown. Cheap Trick: Concentrated attack that deals moderate damage quickly and interrupts target's action. Often used as a powerful swashbuckler counter move. Moderate-Long Cooldown. Places a mark. Thrust Joker: Powerful Thrust move that deals moderate damage and high DOT with powerful Bleed damage. Can only be chained as a counter when user receives damage. Long Cooldown. Places a mark. Round Windmill: Large AOE Move. Sees the user jump into the air and perform a high number of critical slashing attacks while mid-air. Useful in clearing out mobs or dealing a massive amount of damage to a boss. Has a long cooldown, and causes a long "freeze time" for user after triggering. Break Trigger: Finishing Move that causes all markers on all enemies to detonate at once. Markers are typically placed due to other, minor skill attacks. High Cooldown time.
Swordsmith Skills: Forge's Flame: Minor Fire Resistance as a result of constantly working with blades. Passive. One with the Blade: Minor stat boost to attack and defense stats when wielding blades. Passive. Master Sword Crafting: Can craft nearly any sword in the game, so long as the crafting components are found and the recipe is known.
Racial Skills: Analyzer: You are an expert in artificial weapons created in ancient times. Unlike the descendants of its former creators, the Alvs, these machines can only be used for destruction. Dimension Walker: An expert in the Alv's transitory magic, you can freely control distance by sensing the world's fluctuations. Native Operator: You're a natural at operating various tools, from machines to apparatuses. Its complexity doesn't matter; you can use a steering carriage to an ancient Alv defense mechanism. Parallel Mind: A skill where your thoughts run in a parallel, separating your physical movements from your mind when hit with a bad status. Progressive Relic: You have a high affinity for consumable items said to come from ancient Alvs. You can even use complex items that cannot be used by other races.
Equipment:
Flash Lindworm: A pair of powerful and beautiful phantasmal-class dueling swords. Required components that took months of raiding in order to then be crafted within the past month as Cassio achieved the former cap in his Swordsmithing skill.
Gloves of the Duelist: Increases damage dealt by Early Thrust, and increases the damage and radius of explosions for Break Trigger.
Boots of the Rushing River: Decent boots that increase the movement and attack speed of the wearer, but penalizes the wearer if he stops moving to change direction. Once a gimmick item that now sees great use during the Catastrophe with the more streamlined "control" over the game.
Theme song:
Fun Facts: Cassio's username is a reference to the character "Michael Cassio," a character from Shakespeare's Othello. Will had spent much of his high school and collegiate life involved in performing with Shakespearean theater companies, and his first role was as Cassio.
Background: Fred grew up in the Midwest with a fun filled family. He is one of six kids, the fifth son in his family. He grew up an athlete, playing baseball all throughout his youth, earning a scholarship to college with his athleticism. During his sophomore year though, things changed when a car accident changed and flipped his whole world upside down.
Fred lost two friends and almost lost his leg, but managed to barely come out of it in one piece. He walks with a limp and lost his scholarship as he wasn't able to play baseball anymore. Depression hit him hard, but the young adult was introduced to Elder Tales by one of his older brothers, finding a new team to be part of.
In Game History: Adjusting to the realization that he was stuck in the world of Elder Tales, Fred did what he felt most comfortable with, and that was to find his friends and calm his mind. It was strange to actually be able to function like a normal person again as walking around the digital world he wasn't limping like he would have been in the real world.
The red head was able to get in contact with four of his in-game friends, who were all scattered around the server. So Fred made it a goal to reunite the ones who were stuck within the world of Elder Tales, as he felt it was his chance to make up for losing the ones he lost in real life.
Personality: Fred is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He tends to be very positive and cheerful, but can sometimes be a jerk as the awful stereotypical jock attitude of his can still be shown. He is an extremely competitive person and can also be very vain. He has a bright and warm personality as he now pretends to be happier, because that in turn helps him believe it himself.
In the world of Elder Tales Fred's avatar, Redds, is exactly the same. He is a fun-loving, adventure-seeking man who likes living dangerously. He also tends to showcase his competitive side when it comes to raids and joining parties. He still carries his outgoing personality though, making friends easily in the world of Elder Tales.
Monk Skills:
Active Skill — A attack boosting roar that gives those in a 15m radius of Redds a 25% buff in strength and dexterity for 10 seconds, but giving him a 50% buff for that 10 seconds. The cast time is .5 seconds but the cooldown is 25 seconds.
Active Skill — A shadow figure follows Redds for 15 seconds, attacking as he attacks, but the damage for the following hit is 50% less and drops down by 5% each hit with the lowest being 25% of Red's full damage.
Active Skill — A three punch combination that also gives Red a fire attribute for the next 20 seconds.
Treasure Hunter Skills:
Passive Skill — Allows Redds to aquire 25% more gold from treasure chests.
Passive Skill — Gives Redds a +1% higher chance of obtaining higher priced items from monster loot and raids.
Passive Skill — A skill that allows Redds to sell items that are 100G or less to be sold for an increase of 25G of their original price instead.

It was crafted by a blacksmith named Goodwin, part of a collection. Body: Cottonfairy Coat — Artifact-Class — A light coat that gives the wearer a high boost in magical resistance and evasion for an increase in physical damage received. Obtained from the Cottonwood Fairy Extraction Quest. Arms:

Accessories: Time Healer's Pocketwatch — A pocketwatch that allows the wielder to gain a 10% boost in health-regeneration. Obtained from The Hour of the Healer Quest.
Fred played cornerback in football and was a shortstop in baseball.
Fred has four other characters: Redd Fred an Assassin, Redds Healer a Cleric, Redds Charmer an Enchanter, and Red Shield a Guardian.
Only two accounts are in the level 90s, Redds his Monk and Redds Shield his Guardian. Redd Fred is level 67, Redds Healer is level 52, and Redds Charmer is only level 19. He gave up on being an Enchanter player.
Username: Anubis Real Name: Claire Monroe Gender: Female (In and Out of game) Age: 26 Race: Half-Alv Class: Cleric - High Healer build Subclass: Alchemist Level: 91 Appearance:Anubis Background: Claire Monroe works as a nurse in North America. She had just graduate from nursing school two years prior when she learned of Elder tales from one of her co-workers. Claire wasn't much into gaming but after hearing how fun the game was she bought it as a distraction. After learning the mechanics and participating in a few dungeons and raids with her friend, Claire took a real liking to the game. While most of her friends have left the game, Anubus since then she has been an advent player. In Game History: Since the catastrophe Anubis has kept to herself, observing her new environment. Many guilds have tried to recruit her but she has stayed out of their grasp. She was selling her potions to a few merchant guilds but after some went under new management she has been weary to approach them. Since then Anubis has been investigating what might have brought them to the game of Elder tales and gaining whatever she can on lore of the world. At the present her investigations has been very limited. Guild/Position: Not Affiliated Personality: Anubis is a kind and helpful young woman who, generally keeps to herself. She takes the game very seriously. She loves to gather information and clear any new dungeons or raids presented. If a coordinated raid group is presented she will gladly join it. Although Anubis has yet to join a guild she keeps well know contacts on the North Wen server. She values information that can help her find rare items, locations on new dungeons, and mechanics. She is also a very high tier Alchemist and made good money selling potions to other players and people of the land. Though after the catastrophe she has taken to making gold in other way since a number of players have turned to PKing. Skills:Cure - A basic cure magic that removes negative status effects from a single ally. It consumes little MP and has the ability to remove negative status effects regardless of type, but higher skill ranks allow shorter casting times for this skill. Healing pulse - Healing pulse is a low level restoration spell. It is relatively weak but has a short cast time and is often used to bridge the gap while waiting for higher level skills to cool down. Sanctuary - A magic square spreads out from the caster, transforming the surrounding area into sacred ground. Allies that step inside this zone are blessed with increased physical and magical defense. In order to maintain this zone, the caster is prohibited from moving away from the point of activation. For this reason, setting up Sanctuary requires careful planning of battle formations beforehand. Magdala Curtain - When cast, Magdala Curtain has a wide range of recovery; anyone underneath its pale aurora will be healed, even if there are a hundred people under it. Out of all the recovery skills, only Magdala Curtain is geared specifically for raids. This move pays homage to Cross Marian Shadow Ball: Shadow Ball is an attack move exclusive Dark Majestas staff. It allows the wielder to defend themselves but doesn't do much damage. Equipment:Shadow Sorceress Garment - Woven from threads of moon drip silk it is a cleric-class dress exclusive to women. Originally it was a fine magus robes, but after being passed onto its successor the material has since been re-tailored into a healing robes. This robe can only be acquired and woven with specific material from select dungeons and raids. Bonus stats - Critical stats chance of heals. Dark Majestas A rare item drop cleric class weapon. Its material is made from the pure obsidian and forged by a Weapon's Crafter during the time of the Alvs. Its main stats are increasing maximum MP and elemental resistance. Shadow Garnet A ring that blessed the holder with reduced cast times and increased vitality. Theme song:
Fun Facts: Anubis took up alchemy as subclass but in the real world likes to cook. Red herbal tea is her beverage. She loves reading and studying the lore. Her username is based off of one of her favorite Egyptian pantheon.
Username: Relka Real Name: Morrigan Doval Gender: Female in both Age: 26 Race: Human Class: Assassin Subclass: tracker Level: 86 Appearance: pin.it/jqlft4ltqujmrh Background: Morrigan was a librarian IRL, she was in love with books and felt that reading a story was a way to travel to other worlds and go on fantastic adventures. Her home life was less than spectacular, very few friends, she hardly went anywhere except for work and the store. It wasn't much of a stretch of imagination when she made the jump from the printed word, to the virtual. Morrigan loved being a different person than she was and was obsessed with the fact that she could now affect the story she was in! Usually quiet and reserved Morrigan had found a place where she could let loose and have fun. In Game History: In game Morrigan's play style is reminiscent of her life IRL, she thirsts for knowledge and learning things before other people. But thats where the similarities ended. In the world of Elder Tales she enjoyed playing a bad guy role for a while as a Rogue subclass, but after the level cap reached 90, she decided to switch to Tracker so she join a guild and better herself. She joined Cloak and Dagger, a mid-level raiding guild, and racked up some experience. But when the apocalypse happened the Big Apple, where her guild was staying at was under assult from other guilds. Not liking the future she saw for the city she left the guild before the Family could swallow it up.
She left the city heading west hearing it was better away from the servers main cooties. She has now found herself by the Great Lakes in a town called Cleftlands. Morrigan wants to get stronger, but needs to join a party to do so. Guild/Position: ex-leiutenant of Cloak and Dagger Personality: Morrigan as Relka is a jokester, with a touch a sadism. She's not trusting of other people, but will make friends more out of necessity than actual want. She's constantly trying to learn from other subclasses, not so she can switch, but she has a better understanding of how Elder Tale works. She feels the more she knows, the more prepared for every contingency she will be. Skills: Assassinate Stealth Blade Paralyzing Blow Sweeper Hide Walk Peek-A-Boo
Sub-Class Skills: Tracking Wide Sense Sneak Equipment: Shadows Embrace: A pair of Artifact level daggers which most notably reduces Relkas non-combat skills cool down by 5%. Darkness Dancer: Relkas Artifact level outfit, it increases her movement speed by 1% and reduces Aggro by 3%. Theme song: (optional) Fun Facts: (Optional)
Background: Born to an African immigrant butcher and an educator, it was pretty obvious from an early age that Byron wasn't going to handle traditional education well. He was something of a prodigy, easily blowing through work that other children struggled through which lead to him becoming rowdy and disruptive. Not too long into his career in school, around the third grade, he had to officially be pulled and home-schooled by his mother. It wasn't exactly a positive situation as Byron's apathy lead him to slacking as he grew older and their lack of funding due to his mother's inability to work a full time job as she attempted to educate him lead to a significant strain on the relationships in the family as some not so subtle disdain boiled under the surface. Luckily, or unluckily, this all changed when one of Byron's relatives died.
A wealthy, but stingy man, he left the family a modest sum. Some of which went towards keeping them afloat and the rest which went to getting Byron a personal laptop. Now, the family wasn't the most tech savvy and his father was in many ways suspicious of technology, but it quickly proved useful as Byron was able to occupy himself and take his teaching at his own pace. Now, of course, everyone knows that a teenager with a laptop is going to occupy themselves with everything else but their work, but Byron was determined to keep the peace long enough that his family could reward him for his good behavior. While in the past, rewards systems never worked, the potential punishment of having the laptop taken from him was enough of a motivator to keep him from fucking up too hard.
Spending so much time on the internet, it only made sense that he'd eventually learn about and get into games, eventually finding out about Elder Tales and managing to get it.
In Game History: Initially mortified that he had been locked into the game as a Bard, one of his least favorite classes, Byron quickly found some utility in it as he effortlessly swapped into several different parties without having to dedicate himself to anyone. Picking up the Musician sub-class to keep himself occupied and his brain moving when he's by himself. Sustaining himself as a wandering support to anyone who needs it, he's managed to pick up some unique loot over his time moving across the server.
Guild/Position: None.
Personality: Byron's the quiet, cynical type. He does things because he feels obligated to but not often because he wants to, and when he does things he wants to he tends to keep them to himself. He's a genuinely bright kid, seemingly more mature than his age, and he picks up on things quickly. But despite that, he's incredibly poor at reading social cues and even worse at upholding societal norms. He's rude, blunt, and often sarcastic when the situation doesn't call for any of those things.
Often, he takes interest in small, simple things or very exact concepts which consume his attention and he'll utterly obsess about them until he can find a worthwhile outlet for it, which usually tends to be his musical skills. His music is his primary outlet for any form of emotion that isn't his usual blank-faced cynicism, often causing him to get far more into it by accident than he even realized. When performing in any occasion, whether it be for him or for others, he does it like he's the only person listening at any given moment. This sort of brash self-confidence translates into him naturally, where he often finds himself uncaring who he's talking to how.
There are some soft, mushy emotional bits of him somewhere that are hard to reach and even harder to actually interact with due to how hard he pushes people away. More often than not, any display of emotion is attributed to the heat of the moment and he refuses to actually engage with his feelings on a level further than a musical performance. A lot of Byron's identity has become attached to his newly found love of music and his self-perceived intelligence, and he feels that many people see these traits as marketable or use-able while disregarding him due to how difficult of a person he can be to talk to.
Skills:
Repeated Notes: Immediately repeats the same attack or skill on a target, but leaves the user momentarily paralyzed. Draws a lot of Hate when used in rapid succession. Often used by Byron to repeat attacks done by his shades.
Shifting Tact: For a small period of time, rapidly decreases the length of a cooldown. As one of Byron's most requested skills, he's quite good at using it and has increased the percentage above the base a significant amount.
Onslaught Prelude: Y'all know what the fuck it is, it's that song that reduces cooldown times. Get refreshed.
Venomoid Tarantella: Speeds up recovery.
Rainbow Arabesque: Applies one of 6 elemental colors to allies to attack enemy weaknesses, if not specified, then it's the rainbow itself.
Meditation Nocturne: MP slowly increases over time.
Ballad of the Gullible Snail: Slows and damages enemies over time, draws a lot of Hate.
Equipment:
Despite its name, the Lyre of Orpheus is a guitar with a basic amplification bonus that increases the AOE of all Bard or Music related skills. Simple, but it's carried Byron through several battles and the extra area can be just the edge one needs in a battle. Part of a two item set.
The Eye is an accessory, an amulet with a resplendent jewel that seems to catch the light in any setting and glitter beautifully. When paired with the Lyre of Orpheus, it allows for a unique skill that mimics summoning. Any enemy bested while in the area of effect of the Lyre of Orpheus' music becomes trapped inside of the Eye, allowing Byron to summon their shade for some kind of specific task decided by him as he summons. Triggered by a unique musical cue, these last for seconds at a time before disappearing again. The upper limit of how many can be held at once is the player's level divided by four. Can summon one summon at a time!
Chief, how else is he gonna hold all he instruments?
Other instruments he's picked up over his time gathering loot, none of which he uses in combat either for personal preference or simply because of a lack of quality. Almost all of these get used for his performances, though.
Featherfall Tunic Featherfall Bottoms Featherfall Sandals A lightweight armor set that offers little to no defense better than basic leather armor, but gives a bonus to speed as well as shortening cast times and cooldown. An armorset based almost entirely around risk and reward, it discourages Byron from making rash decisions in combat and emphasizes good planning.
Theme song:youtube.com/watch?v=twT1zz5GMfU Fun Facts: Has an odd habit of speaking in rhyme, and sometimes does it without noticing. Has developed several albums' worth of songs and will perform a set of them if asked.
Username: Crosshot_21 Real Name:Alexander Willaims Gender: Male for both Age:26 Race:Human Class:Assassin Subclass: Tracker Level: 89 Appearance: Background: Alex was a lost soul in the real world. He worked a dead end job as mechanic, and was in his sixth year as a second year college student. Life was, as his girlfriend would describe his outlook, "A number of shades of grey." The few friends Alex had tended to only want to be friends with him when they can get something out of the deal. There was only two things in his life that brought any color to his grey life, his Mother Hannah and his girlfriend Alexis. It was thanks to Alexis, that he got into the online game Elder Tales. The two originally met while in high school. The two met while Alex was browsing a local gaming store, while Alexis was working there. It was Alexis that got Alex into playing Elder Tales and became his the first and greatest of his friends. She had bought him The game as a "New friends gift" and showed him how to play. The game opened up a whole new world for Alex, when his life had once been just grey, not he had a beautiful water color. Alexis and Alex quickly became closer and closer, Taking every opportunity to spend time together in and outside of Elder Tales. After a few years the two began to become romantically involved. Life lasted like this for a number of years until a week before the apocalypse. Alexis was moving servers, as for the last two weeks she had been living as an exchange student in Korea. In order to play with friend in her timezone she needed to move servers. While Alex was sad he understood and Alexis promised she would move it back when she came home. Then the apocalypse happened. In Game History: Alex was lost, all he cared for ripped away. The few friends he had were busy with their own guilds or securing their own safety. Alex walked the server, seeing his new world. He saw the Landers struggle as the players floundered for themselves. There was no real order to life, it was terrible to see all the he once loved thrown into chaos. As he walked He got into contact with several of his closest friends. For the first few days they did nothing but just sit and stumble around, unsure of what to do. Slowly the group of five meandered through the server taking on odd jobs for no other reason then to have something to do. Slowly they came to the realization, this was their new world. They were stuck here for better or for worse, they needed to make the best of it. quickly the group started brain storming ideas for what they could do. The could join a guild and be forced to take order with a group of people they didn't know or respect, or they could form their own guild. They decided to form a guild if for no other reason then they already knew how to work with each other. What kind of Guild would they form? A military guild like almost all the others that would have mammoth competition right out of the gate? A production guild that again faced huge obstacles when it came to recruitment and sales? After a long while Lamba was formed, since then Alex and ther others have began to form their information base across the server. Guild/Position: Senior member/ Co Founder of Lamba Lamba is a guild is made up of two groups within the Guild. The members and the associates, The members tend to be very secretive and don't interact much with others outside of the lander representatives whos job it is to find work. The Associates are those who have Temporary or those who belong to other Guilds. They seem to know very little about the inner workings of the guild, as they only get contacted by the members when Information or for missions. The guild seems to have major backing with Landers as a number of governments employ them in one way or another, with jobs ranging from caravan guards to Military adviser roles. Due to their renown as spy's and for their subterfuge a number of player guilds often employ them to get information on certain players, Landers and groups. On the rare occasion, some have even hired them for assassination missions, though these seem few and far between. Outside of these darker means of employment, Lamba has be active in the lander communities, offering help to those in need. These acts range from clearing out monsters to offering charity in the form of food and clothing. On at least two occasions they have been found to help rebuild towns and villages damaged by monster raids. They prefer to work with Landers over players. Personality: Alex is a very stoic and laconic man, often times uttering only a few words through out an hour long conversation. He takes his job and position very seriously, as he could always be found out working with his men during the day and in their Guild hall working on paper work late into the night. On the few cases he has free time, he spends time reading or playing with the stray cat Misha that seems to have taken a liking to him. Alex knows that he must be strong and tough to lead his guild mates, as many are younger then him with a large amount having families and people who cared about them back in the real world. Alex tries his hardest to not to let his own sadness show, as he has two people he thinks about every day. His mother Hannah and Girlfriend Alexis, the joke he is well aware of, are constantly on his mind. Alex can be gruff upon first contact but always tries to be friendly, often times coming across as stiff and awkward at the best of times. Skills: Assassination, Stealth Blade, Hide Shadow,Silent Move,Tracking,Dark vision,Tracking, Equipment: -Blade of Hate- The Blade of Hate is a black bladed Tanto knife with red runes carved into the blade. The handle consists of a Black handle with red wrappings and brass guard. The weapon does bonus critical damage when the enemy is caught by surprise.
- The Red Cloak- While it is called a Cloak it is a two piece set made up of two hand woven pieces from his girlfriend consisting of the top piece and Waist protection. Other then being warm on a cold night and protection from the elements while on the road, it offers little to no protection in combat. -Mask of the Fallen- These Bandages have been used to treat the wounded in the past, the essence of heroes drive the wearer to go beyond their limits. Provides a HP boost the wearer.

Username: Valk Real Name: Marcus Walker Gender: Male Age: 26 Race: Human Class: Guardian Subclass: Holy Warrior Level: 90 Appearance:
Background: IRL, Marcus worked at a small thrift store, making enough to keep the lights on and his Elder Tales subscription renewed. Occasionally, he even got to eat. Really, he didn't have much of a life outside his guild. His family had actually been considering an intervention before the Apocalpyse occurred.
In Game History: Gatecrashers had planned on getting together to celebrate the new expansion's launch, but either due to bad timing or miscommunication, only Valk was online when the Apocolypse occurred. Left without his guildmates in a once-familiar world, Valk has spent much of his time in the wilds. He'd return to town only to stock up on food or repair his gear, rarely speaking with other people outside craftsmen vital to his continued crusade against a system that had conspired against him. Despite his self-imposed isolation, he hasn't failed to notice the changing atmosphere during his resupply runs.
Guild/Position: Gatecrashers, Guildmaster. Once a prominent raiding guild, Gatecrashers had completed every raid that existed prior to Homesteading the Noosphere. What seperated them from other raiding guilds was their distinctly unorthodox tactics. Where others followed tried and trusted methods, Gatecrashers preferred to experiment. Often, this resulted in wipes, but it wasn't unusual for them to uncover an undiscovered tactic that made previously challenging encounters trivial.
Personality: Once rather cheerful, Valk's been much more taciturn ever since the Apocalypse. His loyalty to his guild is one of his defining traits; he faithfully logged on every day at the same time even if it was only for an hour or two. Even without his guildmates at his side, Valk is a stand-up guy. He's never engaged in PvP against someone who couldn't fight back and has even jumped in to save others from similar fates.
Skills: Holy Smite - Strike a target with a melee weapon. Deals holy damage proportional to the weapon's base damage. Additional damage against undead and demons. Generates hate. Call of the Crusader - Buff allies in a large radius. Causes attacks to deal holy damage and heals 10% of each target's health over the duration. Lasts 3 minutes. Healing Light - Heal a moderate amount of damage. May target self or others. Divine Charge - Charge an enemy, generating hate on the target and nearby enemies. Whirlwind Slash - Strike all targets in melee range with a 20% damage penalty. Fend - Gain a defensive bonus and offensive penalty against enemies engaged in melee. Bonus and penalty increase as the number of targets attacking the user does. Ranges from +/-10% against a single target to +/-50% against 10. Lasts until cancelled. Castle of Stone - Total invulnerabilty for 10 seconds. Ten minute cooldown. Cross Slash - Strike twice with a melee weapon, dealing damage to enemies in front of the user.
Equipment: Paladin's Vestments - 50% Resistance to Unholy Damage - Immunity to Fear - Immunity to Disease - Heal for 2% of maximum health whenever you deal a killing blow.
Lance of the Valkyrie - 30% Damage bonus against Undead and Demons - 10% bonus to hit chance - Ignores 15% of Armor
Username: Kyoki Real Name: Kasper Valitu Gender: Female in-game, Male outside. Age: 18 Race: Human Class: Sorcerer Subclass: Necromancer Level: 90
- Main appearance, her current since the 'apocalypse' - Informal, home wear She sits at around 5'4/5'3 with an extremely pale and slim build.
Background: Kasper was a Finnish-American high-school student that had been struggling with the boredom of life. He had little to no interest in education, and a flickering interest in life itself barely kept afloat by the online world. Kasper spent nearly all of his free time online, and the time he didn't spend sitting at a desk he spent on a mobile device. He was a complete outcast, isolated from the real world, only interacting to go to classes and barely even listening half the time. Yet he seemed to revel in this solitude.
He was somewhat lucky that his situation allowed this. His parents were barely ever home, often not even in the country due to business trips or return visits to their homeland. Kasper had been a few times but he had little interest in going again, since it didn't really matter where he was in real life and he didn't want to separate himself from the comfort of his nest. Furthermore, a high level of analytical thinking meant that his lack of attendance or interest in class didn't really hinder his grades to the point where his parents would be concerned by his hobbies.
Kasper indulged himself in plenty of games, but Elder Tale took his interest because of the ability to express another personality through it. An MMO with flavour and very visually appealing graphics spoke to his soul. It was very enjoyable for him to express a very different side to himself, and be able to be someone different, even if it just was over the web. Little did he know what awaited him.
In Game History: Kasper was one of the most sceptical of the apocalypse, but definitely one of the most welcoming. He was entirely sceptical because he wasn't sure it was just a dream gone bad, or his brain was working in overdrive, but he managed to arrive at the conclusion that even he couldn't produce such an advanced dream out of his own consciousness. And given how little he took notice of the real world, he wasn't really bothered about that. The only concerning part for him was the fact that he had ended up as a Female, that was quite a bit shorter than his real life self and of course a different gender entirely. And given as he spent very little time around other people in general, let alone people of the opposite sex, it left him very little interpretation on how to act but what he had seen online and how he had portrayed his character previously through the game.
He took it in stride however. A chance to invent a new sense of self was welcoming to the previously nihilist mind that had previously been Kasper. He used the chance to reinvent himself as Kyoki, and that could be whoever he wanted her to be. Especially because people knew very little of her bar the notoriety she had earned among higher level adventurers as a solo sorcerer with a unique build that was pretty strong. Yet, the blessing of an empty friends list was also a curse. He hadn't that much experience interacting with others in a face to face environment and as such, didn't really know how to approach. He'd decided that Kyoki would no longer be a solo adventurer, and wanted to join a party or even a guild, but the idea seemed so far off given how little contacts she had.
He'd work to change that.
Guild/Position: N/A Personality: The personality that Kasper expresses through Kyoki is something of a strange one. Eccentric and energetic, yet distant and quiet. Kyoki is never quite sure how to ask and often hesitates to speak, not knowing at all what to say. Yet sometimes, she can speak for minutes at a time in great detail her thoughts and machinations of her mind. She still remains the analytical nature of thought that she had in real life, but she combines this with a much more forward, forceful way of action that mostly translates to combat, but also contributes to her interactions. Furthermore, she has an excellent sense of humour but this starkly contrasts to the fact that she struggles to empathise with others or feel much sympathy/emotion herself so this is the only real medium she has to express feeling with others, through laughter.
Skills: Summon Undead - This skill stems from her subclass, a rather unusual one for her character archetype. Due to her high level, this undead is immensely useful as a defensive tool and she uses it as something to hide behind and tank aggro for her as well as blocking projectiles. It also boasts moderate offensive capabilities with the ability to apply a disease DoT effect. She can only have two active at max. Carries the appearance of a recently dead human with a crown of flowers.
Astral Spellcasting - This is her unique spellcasting gained from her full astral set. Allows her to combo spellcasts one after another and reduce cooldowns based on how many attacks in succession she makes. This only applies as long as she continues to avoid damage, leading her to be somewhat of a glass cannon that must not be caught. All spellcasts will give the appearance of some kind of constellation depending on the spell whilst being casted as a result of the Orion sash. Unique spells include:
Starstrike - A single target neutral damage spell with a very low cooldown and low damage. Used to weave spells
Supernova - Large radius AOE fire/explosion spell with a windup and long cooldown but high damage.
Celestial Bullet - A small projectile damage spell with very low damage but practically no cooldown and a very low manacost. Used as a tool to dispatch lower level monsters or to kite.
Aries Cannon - A small diameter sized beam attack with moderate damage and a moderate cooldown. Reduced cooldown for every successive hit of starstrike.
Empyrean Freezing - Probably the most powerful spell that Kyoki has and mostly applicable in PVP. A medium range aoe attack that comes outward from her that has a moderate channel time, an extremely long cooldown and extremely high damage. Things caught in the aoe that perish will take the appearance of something completely frozen.
Wall of Fire - Small cast time that creates a moderately large aoe that applies a DoT for those who walk through.
Cone of Cold - AoE ice attack that applies frozen debuff to those caught in the radius. Moderate cast time.
Chain Lightning - Lightning based spell that bounces through targets. Cooldown reduces for every additional target hit.
Immolation - Single target high damage fire based spell that sets the
Sunburst - A less powerful form of supernova, but on a significantly lower cooldown. A ball of fire projectile based spell that does area of effect damage.
Crown of Stars - 5 sparkling stars appear in a crown-like formation around the users head and allow them to throw them as projectiles. They expand when thrown and deal high damage, but the spell has an extremely long cooldown(maybe usable once per fight)
Dancing Lights - A better version of magical light, with multiple applications. Kyoki's are customized to look like a constellation of stars due to her equipment.
-- Icicle Impel - A combined magical and weapon-based skill that enchants your weapon with cold air magic, wrapping your body in a chilly blue aura. Even after getting hit, the aura continues wrapping around you for a period of time, increasing your attack evasion rate. Along with Inferno Strike and Thunderbolt Crush, it is a special melee-fighting skill. Because it increases attack evasion, many Sorcerers use it as emergency preparation for an enemy’s special move.
Inferno Strike - A combined magical and weapon-based skill that imbues your weapon with fire magic. When an attack hits, a small blast effect surrounds the target and causes them to take continuous Burning damage for a period of time. Although it is powerful, it’s still a melee attack and thus requires you to be in close proximity to your target. As a result, it’s a skill that requires a discerning eye and a great deal of determination to use. There are some uncommon melee-combat builds centered around the usage of this skill called “Magic Knight,” “Magic Swordsman,” etc.
Standard: Dread Weapon Force Shield Blink Lightning Nebula Arc Spell Mana Skewer Brand Stake Arc Spell Orbital Blur Disintegrate Death Cloud Singularity Orb of Lava
Equipment: Pin of Lyra - Artifact - A hairpin acquired a few weeks before the apocalypse through repeatedly grinding through a dungeon. Significantly boosts the amount of mana available to her. as well as a slight boost in defensive capabilities.
Orion Sash - Phantasmal - One of two phantasmal pieces of gear that Kyoki holds, it's probably her favourite possession in game. Takes the appearance of a flower emboldened on a white and blue sash around her waist. Gives her spell-casts unique floral and astral visual effects as well as significantly lowering the cool-downs of her special abilities for a slight reduction in potency, making her close range spellslinger style of play more optimal. Obtained from crafting with phantasmal level materials.
Andromeda's Dress - Phantasmal - A blue and white dress with floral patterns and quite a few frills, it significantly boosts the power of her spells for a slight reduction in area of effect radius. Slightly more suited to a solo style of play but exponentially boosts her power when she is able to accurately hit her spells. Somewhat cancels out the drawbacks of the Orion sash, leading for the two items to be a potent duo. Obtained through crafting with phantasmal level materials.
Persephone's Bracelet - Artifact - Despite being artifact class, it's a pretty rare item. Gives decent protection from magic based attacks as well as a significant reduction to aggro. Obtained on a solo quest.
Gemini Heels - Artifact - A matching pair of light blue heels that are engraved with a slight floral imprint. Moderate increase to evasion, speed and aggro reduction.
Atlas Dagger - Artifact - A dagger supposedly imbued with the power of Atlas, it's extremely thin, almost needle like to the point where the tip sparkles as if it were incandescent like a shining star. Kyoki uses this as the conduit for her spells as it can also be used to employ magic swordsmen spells and cast just as efficiently as a wand or staff might. Obtained through solo dungeon.
Theme song: Fun Facts: Has a ridiculous case of sweet tooth. Has an endless appetite in this regard and could completely devour entire cakes if left to her own devices. Also really likes to sing.
