Name: Shakti "Fiver" Haze
Age: 19
Bounty: 50000 Beri ALIVE ONLY for THEFT and ATTEMPTED MURDER
Gender: Female
Appearance: Shakti's outer appearance is rather normal for a mermaid, alluring good looks and beauty, with a tail with scales that reflect light and bring wonder to all. She is a Betta fish type mermaid on her mother's side with some fish-man inherited traits from her father's side, such as her brown skin. It should be noted that she is a bit smaller than most mermaids and fish-women her age due to the excessive training and undernourishment her father put her through in his training her in the Fish-Man District. She also basically has no bust. She wears long flowing colorful robes for ease of her type of combat (and escape)-- although she can occasionally be seen in a 'crimin' brand t-shirt, she also likes jewelry, and tends to keep it in her rather long hair, which she in turn tends to keep a complex up-do.
Personality: Shakti is in short, a depressive, cowardly, timid girl. If there is an easy way out of a problem, she will rush to the like a shark to blood in water. Her father, a former member of the Sun pirates and one of the the slaves liberated by Fisher Tiger, however, spent her childhood, filling her head with the injustice in the world, perpetrated by the very people that were supposed to be protecting them. So despite her better nature she has become something of a trickster, putting on a false mask of confidence, and sometimes (often) failing to become stronger-- she may be scared, but she has trained with her father her whole life to accomplish her dream of bringing down the institution of slavery, and Mary Geoise, an establishment she views as pure evil for subjugating her father.
Backstory: Shakti was born the only daughter in the Ryugu Kingdom, Fish-Man Island, to two loving parents. Her father, a powerhouse of a Fish-Man despite his age, a former member of the Sun pirates who had been freed by Fisher Tiger, and her mother, a withdrawn woman who owned a modest sweets shop in mermaid cove. With this, Shakti seemed destined by fate to be different. And certainly drawn to a life of adventure (and loving sweets). So, it was no surprise that while the family could have been living comfortable among the merfolk, her father got it in him to raise the girl where he had grown up, and train her, despite her already developing timid nature-- the Fish-Man District.
Of course, she accepted, and from here growing up was rough and fast. Most of her days were spent learning how to deal bumps, bruises, and with many members of the curious Fish-men and to keep a smile on her face without crying. Her father was strict, often making her lessons and independent study to mermaid judo even harder than it felt like it had to be! But still, she couldn't help but enjoy the idea at the end of the day, that someday she would be strong enough to free people like him, people in captivity! She could be the next Fisher Tiger! If she just pushed through her tears and tried even harder. She wanted to become a pirate after all the tales of glory and liberation she'd heard about him! She wanted to sail the seas too! And she wanted to conquer the those oppressors!
By the time she was 18, she'd all but mastered the physical training and techniques her father had been hammering into her since she was a guppy. Not her cowardice, of course, but that would come later, she told herself. So, like most teens she fell into a slump-- until some marines landed in town. A wicked idea crossed Shakti's mind.
Long story short, she's been looking for a crew ever since.
Abilities: Untrained Observation-type Haki: Shakti had always shown signs of precognition or having sort of sixth-sense, practically since the day she was born. Her father, always keen on training her natural talents, actually tried to have her intern with Madam Shyarly when she was a pre-teen. That didn't end very well, Shakti still has the scars. She doesn't know what Haki is, and she's never met anyone who has, so her natural talents in this area have largely gone untrained and thus remain rough and unpredictable.
Basic Mermaid abilities: Such as being able to swim strikingly fast in water and communicate with certain types of fish.
Mermaid Judo: A style of fighting developed by Shakti and her Father, literally meaning 'Mermaid's gentle way' a combination of ideologies went into it's inception due to Shakti's timid nature, while her father still wanted her to have a way to defend herself in revitalizing the fire of the Sun Pirates in pursuit of her dream.
Nage-Waza Kamala: Shakti pulls water in the atmosphere or water and creates a lotus wheel of water that will lift her opponent and throw them off balance.
Sutemi-waza Bhairavi: Shakti puts herself in a vulnerable position on the ground to draw her enemy close, using her tail to whip up a volcanic waterfall of an eruption of water to create distance once her enemy closes in.
Tachi-Waza Matangi: Shakti, from a standing (as much as she can stand, when on land) position, thrusts her hand forward, surrounding her arm in an armor of water, grabs her opponent and performs an over-shoulder throw, being assisted by the strength of the water.
Te-waza Tara: Coating her hands in water, Shakti turns and performs an overhead throw of enemies behind her to create distance. This move works much better in water.
Ashi-waza Kali: Similar to Te-waza Tara, but much more unpredictable and destructive, as this time, the implement she's using to displace water is her own tail.
Koshi-waza Shodashi: A quick move, wherein Shakti creates hula hoops of water from her hips to get out of any grabs the enemy may have on her.
Ma-Sutemi-Waza Bhuvaneshvari: A last resort move, Shakti assumes an animalistic pouncing stance on the ground and pulls in as much water as possible, pooling it with her own tears, preparing to either tackle the enemy or run/swim away. It really could go either way if she pulls this one out.
Yoko-Sutemi-Waza Bagalamukhi: A last resort move, Shakti creates a full body armor of water and boasts that no human weapons can penetrate her liquid shell. She then hope her enemies are too dull or don't know enough about fish-men or mermaid to actually try attacking her. If they do she will cry and run away.
Katame-Waza Dhumavati: ULTIMATE last resort move, Shakti begs her enemies to show mercy on her! There's been a huge misunderstanding! She's been kidnapped by this pirate crew and she doesn't know what they want with her! (Of course by this point she's crying), while her enemies are trying to figure out what to do with her, she steals their wallets and escapes into the nearest body of water.
Shime-waza Chhinnamasta: ULTIMATE last resort move, Shakti creates a highly condensed ball of water from the atmosphere, with the strength of a single bullet, it's about the size of a marble, and it can be flicked from between her index finger and thumb. If enemies have her cornered, she can point this at her own head as she cries, threatening suicide. Men will, without fail, fall over themselves trying to talk her down. She can them shoot them in the face, claim it was an accident, cry more, ready another bullet, claim she deserves to die more, while the men will hysterically continue to try and talk her down. Rinse and repeat.
Relationships:Crew: N/A, Though, she is prone to finding certain people very cute and others extremely scary.
Family: She loves her father and mother very much, she knows her father is proud of her for choosing to follow her dream and in his footsteps, and though her mother may worry, she knows she has her support.
Dreams: To finish the job Fisher Tiger started, ending slavery once and for all and completely bring down Mary Geoise for good.
