Heeeeey welcome. Thanks for joining the RP! I think we're off to a good start here. I try and follow the rule of 'yes and...' when improvising a roleplay. It will all probably fall apart eventually but at least we are writing!
Don't applaud yet; Malakaus just caught them with their pants down. Now we gotta see if these mercs can defeat the boar, otherwise we got more problems.
A lot to unpack in the last post :) reply from Maren coming tomorrow. Meanwhile. What of the townsfolk? Maybe someone in the Karkusian camp? Feel free to do a one off-post to give the story a different perspective. You guys are killing it!
Post for Maren is up. I'll be around for another hour or two. EDIT: Quick mention about art. If anyone has art for there character or a location that's cool. Try and keep with the fine-art fantasy style of Maren's portrait in the first post!
This is Malakaus's look. He's a half-orc so he's not quite as burly and big as the others. he has far more human proportions with only some orcish details, such as greenish skin, red eyes, etc. He wears a mask to hide the fact he also has very human teeth, something that makes most orcs make fun of him. For the longest time he was known as "Toothless" because of it.
@Zaphander Just a quick mention to remind you this is a low-magic fantasy setting. There might be a few gandalfs around, but mage-knights are a bit too high-fantasy for the setting. Adjust your last post as necessary!
I know, he's not exactly a gandalf type as he only has one spell but he tries to make himself look bigger than that. All he can do is telekinesis and there's a trick to that too but he milks it for all it's worth. I guess I could just spoil it, but all the magic is in the staff. The staff just belongs to him. Without it he's just a regular knight who wants people to think he can do all sorts of magic.
Edit. So I changed him into a regular royal knight. Presumably this puts him at a level of power above just your regular knight, but as someone who works close to royalty thanks to their prowess.
I'm kinda curious, what sort of magic would be in this verse? I mean I suppose boar big enough to ride on and larger is magical, but in terms of personal spells and such? I was actually planning on Malakaus to know a few spells, granted they aren't anything very fancy or flashy. But he does know them.
