[IC] The Rise of the Guardian

Scarlet shook her head and said “let’s go find out. Then I want to check the coming in and out reports at the main gates…”

[Jazz]

Carth looks at Scarlet confused. "Why, pray tell do you wanna check the in and out reports?" He asks as he begins walking toward the kitchens.

Scarlet pulled her cloak closer to her and said “to make sure no one followed us in…I have this feeling that we are being watched…”

[Jazz]

Carth could see sense as to why she would want to see the report, though if she would be able to find out that way would be the interesting part. He looked around to see if there was anything he could tell alone that they could tell that they were being watched. "Fair. Now what do you hope to eat when we get to the community kitchens?" Carth asked.

Scarlet smiled and said “beef and potatoes…I’m starving after all of this mess…” she msde her way to the main gates and she knocked. “Pardon? I was wondering if I could check your entrance reports?”

[Jazz]

Carth smiled seeing Scarlet a little happier. Getting up to the main gates, one of the soldiers opened the door to see the duo and nodded his head curtly in greeting. He looked back to his partner before nodding. "Alright. Feel like you're being followed?" He asks Scarlet. He understood though wondered why she was feeling that way.

Scarlet nodded and said “yes I’ve felt it since this morning. I just want to get eyes or a name of who it could be”

[Jazz]

The soldier understood and went to grab the records. He goes to handing them to her and winks. "I never did this." He says with a smile.

Carth looks over Scarlet's shoulder to see the list too.

Scarlet smiled and said “never. The book was just sitting right there…”
She opened the book and looked at the entrance and said “okay there’s us…a wagon family then…there” she tapped the page. Two names came in ten minutes after they did and she said “are those…what does that even say…I can’t read it…”

Carth leaned in a little to take a closer look at the two names that Scarlet pointed to, however, he too was confused. "You're guess is as good as mine." He replies. "Is that a different language?"

She nodded and said “yes…but at least we know there are two of them. So that’s a plus…” she slid the book back and said “I hate this…how do we draw them out?”

[Jazz]

Carth leaned back when Scarlet set down the book down. He crossed his arms as he thought about what they could do. It seemed rather tricky but maybe it could work. "Maybe go to the kitchens, eat, go back to our quarters and wait them out. Maybe lay out some traps when they decided to break in?" He offers.

Scarlet nodded and said “good thinking. Let’s do it. I don’t want Ash in any more danger then we can help…”

Carth smiled and nodded. Food and possible entertainment. He liked that and so made his way toward the kitchens he saw while they went to the library and through the market. Once there they had to go through a line. "So...what had you wanna help Ash? Curious. Sorry." Seeming a little embarrassed.

scarlet paused and said “honestly…just seeing how hard she fights for others and not a care for herself. So selfless and kind…I wanted to see if I could help her. Then seeing how mad those creatures are going for her…I want to know why you know?”

Carth smiled, happy to see where Scarlet coming from. How admired she is of Ash. He admired Ash as well in a way. "Good to see she is being admired. Suprised she hasn't noticed." He says with a chuckle.

Scarlet smiled and said “it’s not a thing women ever notice…” she grabbed a tray and handed one to Carth.

Carth looked a little confused at that statement. It certainly caught him off guard. Taking the tray she offered, he wondered more about what she said. He followed the line and filled the tray accordingly. and he was taking only the necessities.

Scarlet smiled and followed then said “women don’t see the positives about themselves. It’s a girl thing. But I bet if you tell her it will make her day”

Carth thought about this for a moment as he went traversed on automatic through food and the line. He wondered if he should. Why wouldn't he, of course he should. She needed something good to hear and complimenting her would be better than anything. Though what would he compliment Ash on anyway? Carth seemed to think about this and wondered to himself about all this. Then he looked to Scarlet. "What would I say?" He asked, looking absolutely clueless. He never really complimented a girl, let alone one he admired a bit himself.
