Carth thought about this and the situation all together before picking up Ash in a bridal hold. "Let's talk about this back our residence right now. She needs to be rechecked and we'll talk not in the open." He reasons, figuring being out here was not good for Ash right now. "We'll answer all we can there." He looks to the duo who nod.

Shinlo nodded and said “of course. Lead the way, Master Carth” scarlet was lost in town now, no clue where she ended up. “Dang it all…”

Carth carefully got off the rooftops with help for Altoron and Maltoran's help. Once down, they all made their way back to the house.

Kanarus looked around himself before realizing he was lost. Unsure who might be close enough to help, he gets to the rooftop of which he holds his hand up high and shoots a big blast of air to see who was able to feel it and find him.

Scarlet felt the air and moved to jump up to the roof and saw him. She whistled and said “any idea where we are?”

Ash shook in Carths arms as Shinlo was following behind them, humming softly as his snake was looking at the assassins with a tinted head.

Kanarus looked around for a landmark that he could identify on where they were. He spotted the military base and measured where they were. "It looks like we are in the middle of town. If we go toward the military base, we should be able to go back without any troubles since the resistance is close to it." Kanarus explained as he pointed to the military base and the area the residence should be.

Carth could feel her shaking and though he had no idea if it was because she was cold or if it was the electricity that made her body still suffering the effects. He decided to raise his body temperature a small degree to see what she would do. If it hurt he would make his body temperature normal. If it helped, he would raise it slowly to a comfortable level.

Scarlet nodded and said “we should head back to the cabin and see if they found Ash. If not we can go look again” she stood tall, her hair blowing in the wind.

Her shaky became less intense, she wrapped her arms around her core as she looked up at him weakly. “I’m…sorry…I don’t know…if I’m…safe…” Shinlo heard her words and looked to the other assassins. “She didn’t take their mana. The curse they had did…”

The young assassin smiled and gave a curt nod. "Agreed." He then begins running on the rooftops, making it a bit easier to keep an eye on where he was going, hoping Scarlet could keep up.

"There is no need to be sorry. You are going to be okay." Carth said as he continued the trek back. The two looked to the stranger when he spoke about a curse. "A curse? That would explain why the other was also a husk." Maltoran pondered, arms cross with a hand to his chin in thought .

Scarlet was keeping up just fine, a smile on her face as she ran.

Shinlo nodded and said “yes, it’s why they get the red eyes as well. They are cursed to serve the mistress of darkness. It’s why you can’t get information out of them…believe me I have tried” Ash leaned against Carth and closed her eyes. “Are you mad at me for leaving?”

Carth sighed and shook his head. "I'm not mad. I was worried. We all were." He tells her.

"All they told us was about leaving Ash while we could and that she was a monster." Altoron stated. "Quite foolish to think we would. But foolish of me to think I would get any answers out of them." He admitted.

Shinlo hummed and said “seems they didn’t know what they were linked to…thinking she was a monster. They’re the ones going around with those beasts and causing the animals to mutate like that…” they made it back to the cabin the same time Scarlet and her friend had. Scarlett ran over and said “is she alright?”

The two assassins nodded before seeing Kanarus and Scarlet when they made it back. Carth looked to Scarlet when she came up to them. "She will be. She needs rest and help." He responds. Makes his way to the door. Maltoran helps get the door while the other two follow.

Once inside Orion gets up as he goes toward the room Ash was in. "Carth, this way. I need to check her wraps." He motions Carth toward him. Carth follows and goes into the room before setting her on the bed gently.

The three assassins escort the stranger into the main room. Two sit on the couch while Kanarus motions to Scarlet to a chair then motioning the stranger to the other before sitting down himself.

Shinlo smiled the whole time as he was pointed to a chair and said “is there assigned seats or are you going to question me?” Scarlet looked at the man and asked “wait who is this guy?”

Ash shook in the bed and looked at the men “I don’t think…I’m safe…”

[Jazz]

"We are about to find out. He seems to know quite a bit about Ash and the men we encountered." Altoron explained. "My name is Altoron. This is Maltoran, Kanarus, and Scarlet. And you are?"

As Orion was checking her bandages, Carth shakes his head. "No, you are just fine. Stop saying that. From what I was told it was two of the Assassin's that delivered the final blow. Not you." Carth explained.

Shinlo smiled and said “I am Shinlo, also known as the White Snake Warrior. And this is my companion Isis” the snake came from his cloak and bobbed her head at them all. Scarlet said “I’m Scarlet. So can you give us a clue to what the heck is going on?” Shinlo smiled and said “that depends…what do you already know about our Lady Asteria?”

Ash said weakly “but I almost killed that man by ripping the mana out of him…that’s not normal…”

They nodded to the man named Shinlo and the snake named Isis. They looked to each other and Scarlet before answering. "Her wind is a secondary element, she calmed down Carth after he transformed into a dragon and took down two scorpion like snakes." Altoron listed.

"She has a fan blade for a weapon, and doesn't know about some runes she has on her body." Maltoran continued the list.

"She also had an other worldly voice when her eyes turn silver and was able to pull mana from someone when Carth was in danger." Kanarus explained before looking to Scarlet, knowing she had to have more information since she and Carth had been with Ash the longest.

"It may not be normal but you are relearning new things about yourself. Through extreme situations. How were you to know about it and control it?" He asks. "Right now you should be more worried about getting better."

Orion sighs in relief. "Despite how far you got, your bandages are fine. The Aloe still needs to work it's course before I can use any other healing ointment."

Scarlet said “when we met she was almost taken by one of those red eyed guys. And she had a strange attack in the woods the next day. Headaches and weakness too…but she’s strong and selfless…” Shinlo nodded and said “her past?” Scarlet shook her head and said “a ranger, up to a few years ago when she was found by the ranger core who found her up north wounded badly…but wearing no winter gear at all.” Shinlo nodded as he tapped his fingers on the arm of the chair. “Seems…she’s lost herself completely…but how?”

Ash looked at her hand a moment then said softly “I saw him behind you and I…knew I had to stop him. But in that alley my wind would do more harm then help. I didn’t know what to do till a wave came over me, like past of me woke for a moment to trigger that power within me…those words I said I don’t know where they came from…”

The assassins looked from Scarlet to Shinlo. "Other than Carth whomever may know all of what we know, what say you? What do you know Ash and her past? Are the stories written true?" Maltoran asked him curiously.

Carth wondered himself. "Maybe memory that is trying to resurface. Who knows. We have been trying to help come together to theorize. To see what we know and clues we've noticed. How about letting us do the thinking and once your more relaxed and calm, we can go over the facts and theories. We want you to get better. Let us do this much for you, hm?" Carth asks, almost pleading. Which in itself was rare of him. He just want her to just get better and just rely on them than to push them away when it mattered so badly.

Shinlo sighed and said “i said tell you a truth that is not mine to tell. Not till i know what ash is going thru. But…i can confirm the thought path your on is right. She’s much more then she seems and way more then books can tell you. Also, what magic she used back there is mana control. It goes both ways”

Ash tried to sit up, shaking as she said “I don’t know…if I can rest right now…it’s…too much…” she held her head. Shaking worse now.

Carth frowned before looking to Orion. Though he had an idea. He looked to Ash. "Your shaking too much. What if I lay down next to you and warm you up. Just to help that is all." He states, making sure the last part was clear on what he was only trying to do. He saw how her shaking lessened when he raised his body temperature. Maybe she was cold or the heat helped with the injuries. Who knows but it seemed like it was worth a try. Orion seemed to think on this before nodding in agreement.

Kanarus seemed interested in learning about mana control. "How does it work exactly?" He asks.

Ash looked at him then said “okay…I know I can’t hurt you so…maybe it’s best…”

Shinlo said “it’s like wielding an element but instead of fire or water, it’s the life energy in the body and around it.”
