[IC] The Rise of the Guardian

[Jazz]

Carth smiled. "That's great. You found more of your memory." He though looked confused. "What's wrong?" He asks.

[MegaraFoxfire]

Ash looked at him and said “he said something strange…even us gods have to have some quiet time”

[Jazz]

Carth was even more confused. It was starting to make his brain hurt. He stretched his head. "I'm trying to rack my brain around it but it doesn't make sense."

Ash shook her head and said “same here. But I guess we will figure it out right?” She looked like she had a headache already as she looked around and sighed.

[Jazz]

Carth chuckled as he held out his hand to Ash. "Let's get some sleep. We'll figure it out in the morning."

Ash nodded and said “agreed. It’s been a long day…” she moved and took his hand, smiling softly. She was surprised how safe and comfortable she was with Carth.

[Jazz]

Carth smiles as he guides her to one of there other rooms. Finding it empty, glad he picked the right room, he guided her to the bed as he climbed in. Carth left space for Ash though not sure if she wanted to lay down next to him or not. Either way he would respect it.

Ash paused but then moved and curled up to his chest, sighing. “Normally I wouldn’t but I feel safe with you so…”

[Jazz]

Carth would have understood that by the pause if he was having second thoughts. And he was willing to sleep on the couch. About the time he was about to get off the bed, Ash got on the bed and curled up to him. It made him smile as he carefully pulled the blanket over them and placing his arm carefully over Ash while his other was under the pillow. "I'm glad. I figured...well...incase... you got cold again." Struggling to form the sentence as he was starting to feel embarrassed about what he just said.

Ash said “cold is bad for…recovery and…your the one I know I’m safe with…no matter what happens…you won’t abandon me..fear…me…” then she stopped talking, already fast asleep.

Carth chuckled as he noticed Ash fall asleep. He had to admit that he never felt afraid of her. He never understood why he should be. She abandon him when he changed into the beast. Why should he abandon her when she needed him too? As he thought about it he too drifted off to sleep.

The next morning scarlet was standing at both door ways, clearly upset. Shinto was to wake her for her watch and he never did. Now he was in a bed wrapped in bandages and Carth was in bed with Ash. She tapped her foot and she muttered “what…the heck…happened…”

A knock came from the front door. When opened it is Orion who yawns. Clearly not a morning person. "Good morning." He looks a little confused. "Is everything okay?" He asks.

Scarlet pointed to the bedrooms and asked “what the heck happened last night while I was asleep”

[Jazz]

Orion raised his hands in surrender as he walks in and shuts the door. "Shinlo had a nasty injury he had been harboring on his back for weeks so I fixed him up and he's laying in bed. Carth and Ash the last I knew were in the same bed because she needed warmth. Why they still are in the same bed is something I don't know."

Scarlet nodded and said “thank you. I hate being out of the loop. How bad was Shinlo?” She walked into his room to check on him, now looking worried.

Ash stirred next to Carth, turning a bit.

[Jazz]

"In all fairness you were asleep." He clarified as he walked with her to check on Shinlo. When they walked into the room, Orion went up to the bed and checked to see how well he was sleeping before having to wake him up.

Shinlo was sleeping alright and seemed a little bit better. Scarlet said “are those whip scars?”

[Jazz]

Orion nodded. "That is his story to tell. But he had been attack by a plant creature. I had to take the rough scarring he had and reopen the wounds in order to get the infection out." He explains. Orion then places a hand on Shinlos shoulder and gently shakes him. "Shinlo. I need you to wake up.

Shinlo groaned softly, having a hard time opening his eyes. Scarlet said “I’ll get the others” she left the room and opened the other bedroom. “Carth? You awake?”
