[IC] The Rise of the Guardian

[Jazz]

Carth was curious what was going on when he saw Scarlet with the hooded figure. The figure carefully approached as he kneeled for Scarlet. Should she try to stand. He moves his cloak and removed his hood to reveal himself. "Sorry for the sudden confusion. It is I, Orion."

Carth was surprised and tilted his head. "A werewolf? I've heard stories. But to see one." Fascinated for Orion's form.

Ash blinked and her eyes glowed a moment as she saw Orions aura and said “sorry about that welcome doc. Wasn’t sure what I was sensing. You both alright?”

[Jazz]

Orion smiled with a nod. "Understandable. Better than most Greetings I have gotten before. But we are alright. It will be a bit before I will be back as a human."

Carth nods. "That's alright. Just glad you both are alright."

Orion nods to this as he looks to Scarlet.

"We were about to grab our weapons from the smithy. We will be back." Carth informed them before looking toward Ash to see if she was ready.

Ash moved to Scarlet and said “your okay?” She nodded and said “I am. Go ahead” ash nodded and moved to follow Carth. Scarlet smiled softly and said “she’s so worried about us…”

Carth nods. I think everyone is worried and I understand. I'm worried too. Worried about all of us and what may happen once we leave here." He reveals as he places his hands in his pockets.

Ash sighed as they walked and muttered to herself something too low to hear.

Scarlet brought Orion inside and said to the assassins “so what’s the plan now?”

Carth tilted his head confused. "Ash? All good?" He asked.

Orion ducked his head as he went inside with Scarlet as she brought him in. Setting his stuff by the door, he sat down on the couch with the casual wag of his tail.

"Figure when Ash and Carth come back, we see about heading out of town before any cursed ones make a move." Maltoran suggest.

Ash blinked and looked up saying “ya sorry, lost in thought…just trying to wrap my head around all of this…cursing doesn’t make sense…”

Scarlet nodded and Shinlo said “we should get a map of the west as well”

[Jazz]

Carth shrugged. "How so?" He asks.

The assassins raise their hands. "Got on of the country if that helps." Altoron states.

Ash said “that curse would have killed me…but doesn’t this mistress want me alive?”

Shinlo nodded and said “that will help. We need to map out where we are going next”

[Jazz]

Carth was thinking on it too. That also didn't make sense to him. What was the intention of the cursed ones that placed it if they are suppose to follow their master's orders. "I'm puzzled by it too."

Altoron goes to the table as he pulls out a rolled up parchment of the map. "Scarlet, could you light the room please?" He asks as he shrouds the room in darkness. Orion and the other two assassins make their way to the table.

Ash said “unless…someone else just wants us dead and it isn’t the cursed ones who did it…”

Scarlet paused then said “I’ll try…” she moved into the room and held up her hand and light filled the room, but she had to focus to hold it.

Carth looked to Ash confused. "Can the cursed ones not do curses?" He asked.

Altoron noticed the focus Scarlet needed and figured to make this as quick as possible. "Let's make this quick then." He looked at Shinlo then. "So where do you think we should head to next. You are the next best link to Ash and what she needs to do to try and regain her memories. Where do you think would be the next best place to go would be?"

Ash said “if they are just humans like we have seen I don’t think they can. Only a witch or warlock could be pulling off this kind of magic…”

Shinlo came over and looked the map over and said “I think we need to head north. There is a temple there that I know is linked to all of this. It’s where I remember seeing Ash last…kinda. That memory is all fuzzy now but the location is still the same”

Carth nodded, understanding what Ash was saying. "So either this Mistress has hired them in some way or something else wants you out of the picture....wonderful..." He grumbled at the end. He straightens up a bit then. "We got this though." Getting positive about what they were going to be up against.

Altoron nods. "So that's what we'll do. If your willing to guide us there, then we will follow and keep as tight knit as possible." He looks to everyone. Orion nods, standing next to Scarlet. The assassin brothers nod as well. Altoron drops the shadows so Scarlet can release the light she was making. Orion places a hand on her shoulder gently.

Ash nodded and was thinking it over as they walked into the marketplace and then said “Carth…I’m worried. I don’t want the others getting hurt…because of me”

Shinlo bowed his head and said “I will be happy to be your guide. Leave it to me” When the shadows fell Scarlet let the light go. She swayed but felt Orions hand on her shoulder and she smiled weakly. “Thanks…”

Carth understood her worry. He wouldn't want that either. "I think I understand. But none of us want you to face this alone. If we get hurt, it wouldn't be because of you. It would be because of them. If we wouldn't have met you, we would be trying to fight them without being together." He explained. Hoping it helped her feel a bit better.

Altoron and the two assassins bowed to Shinlo. "Thank you."

Orion placed another hand on her shoulder before trying to guide her to the couch. "Come sit. I am sure some more rest will help. I guess the mana potion didn't help out." Sounding a little disappointed. But there wasn't much he could do.

Ash smiled and looked at him “that does help…thank you. Hopefully the blacksmith had enough time…”

Scarlet sat down and said “no it did, but in a dark space like that with no light to pull from is a lot harder. Mainly harder for me since I’ve not trained with my element very much…”

Shinlo nodded and looked around and then said “I think we should get the wagon set up…ready to go…” isis was around his neck now and her eyes were glowing

Carth smiled and nodded. "I hope so too." When they get into the shop, the shop keeper looks to them and smiles. "Good morning! Here for your weapons I see.'

Carth nods. "Indeed." With that the shop keeper pushes the sword on the counter toward Carth whom takes it and unsheaths it to examine it, then sheathing it once more and smiles. "Thank you!"

The shop keeper nods before looking to Ash. "Sadly there wasn't much I could dig up about your fan. But there is said for a beauty with a fan up north had a fan like yourself." He explains.

Orion nods. "I understand now. If you'd like I can we can try like a sort of physical therapy for your element so it is a little bit to."

The three nod. "Then let us and we can return when it is ready to go." Maltoran stated.

Ash picked up her fan with looked brand new and said “really? Is there more about her you can tell me?”

Scarlet smiled and said “that would be a great help…I don’t like being the weak link on things…”

Shinlo looked at them and asked “can I help? I don’t want to feel useless…”
