[IC] The Rise of the Guardian

Carth had waited till it let go of Ash to take this fight away from her and find out what he could really do. Hearing they were toxic, Carth let's go of the creature. He uses his tail again to smack the creature from his friends as he moves himself and get in-between them so he was the focus. He then tried to charge after the fish creature and sink the talons on his wings before using his claws to get on it and tear the creature apart.

Shinlo moved Ash back and saw the assassins running in to help “we must kill the creature! Is music is a spell of some kind!”
Ash was limp against Shinlo, her eyes dull like Scarlets.

[Jazz]

Orion came along to try and help where he could having Altoron bring Scarlet to try and keep them together. "Do we understand how we can return them back to normal? I haven't come across this before." He admits.

Carth was still fighting the creature blow for blow.

The creature roared and tried to get away but suddenly Shinlo appeared and he shot his hand into its chest, his hand suddenly looking more dragon more human. He killed the beast and looked at Carth. “We need you. Now”

He came back and said “we have to break the spells hold on them”

Carth stopped as the creature fell limp as it was suddenly killed by Shinlo. He focused on Shinlo before looking toward Ash and the group. Seeing her not moving worried him. Releasing the body, he carefully walks over to them and lowers his head, nudging her ever so gently. "wait. Why arent they waking up?" he asks.

Shinlo came over, hiding his arm as he said “the spell must not be tired to life force. Must be something else. We have to break the loop.”

[Jazz]

Carth huddled into himself, laying there with his head on the ground like a cat ready to tackle it's prey. But in his case, trying not to accidently smoosh anyone. As they were trying to figure out situations, Carth suddenly had an idea. "What if the song was played backwards? And with a string instrument?" He asked. Though thought about what he said and wondered. "can anyone play a string instrument? I don't know how." he realized.

Shinlo thought and said “I don’t, my music skill is with a flute. But we also need a singer as well” he looked down at the pair and said “ash fought longer against the magic…”

[Jazz]

Altoron looked to Shinlo and sighed. "I can try my hand at it. I heard what was sung and can recite it backwards."

Orion sighed. "We can see if the flute works. I'm not good with string instruments either."

The brothers even shook their heads.

Shinlo sighed and ran back to his bag for his flute then came back and started to play the tune backwards best he could.

Altoron stood straight and began to test his vocal before singing as soon as Shinlo began to play. The brothers as well as Orion and Carth listened.

Once the song was done reversed, scarlet started to snap out of it but it took ash a little longer and soon both girls were blinking and holding their heads. Scarlet groaned and muttered “what…hit…me…”

Altoron stopped singing when both girls came too and smiled. Orion sighed in relief and needed to take this down for his medical records so it could be shared. "Now that that scare is over. You were put under a spell. I don't fully understand what it did left you unresponsive. A vegetable per say." Orion explains.

Carth gave a soft sniff to the girls before giving them a small nuzzle. "Just glad that you two are okay." a small wag of his tail which was making a small dirt cloud.

Scarlet looked around and said “how…you know what I don’t want to know. My head is killing me…so are my ears…”

Ash sighed sitting up and said “that one had human traits…”

[Jazz]

"If you were wondering how you got here, I carried you." Altoron said, sitting next to the women.

"Indeed. And odd one that's for sure." Orion comments.

Carth looks to Shinlo with a tilt of his head looking confused. "how come its toxic? Is it like a defense mechanism?" he asks.

Shinlo said “their blood is acid. I found out when Isis tried to bite one of them off of me. I didn’t want to take any chances with you”

Scarlet looked at him and blushed a little bit “thank you…sorry about that…”

Ash looked at the body of the creature and said “how did it get human traits..”

[Jazz]

He nods, though looks over to Ash and shakes his head. "its okay. Shinlo finished it off. It was...odd to fight like this. Though might stay like this tonight." thinking it out loud, though not sure if he should. Doubting how well it might work out.

Shinlo said “might do you some good to get used to your form. You shifted fast for only a second time” he was still hiding his right arm from the others, not wanting them to see.

Scarlet tried to get up and said “let’s burn the body then get back to camp…even the sound of the water is killing my head…”

[Jazz]

Carth seems to understand what Shinlo was saying and settled for staying in this form. But then something clicked. "Wait. How do you know about my first transformation?" he asks. Not been there when they discussed everything. His attention was suddenly on Scarlet as he looked to the body. He thought about it before he had an idea. "Maybe i could try."

Scarlet looked at him and said “give it a shot. I mean, you are a fire user” Ash was shaking to her feet, seeming to have taken a harder hit as she looked around for her battle fan. Shinlo smiled and rubbed his neck with his human hand. “I saw it that day…I was in the city checking things out when the attack hit..”
