I am curious, when looking at the character sheets for roleplays on here, how a player can tell what characters have been officially accepted and which ones have been rejected, without scouring through the OOC thread attempting to find conversations about said characters.

My own roleplay will have a rather easy section at the beginning which shows the accepted characters already, but I'm not sure how to tell with other rps which do not have this kind of thing.

Edit: Also, is it possible to remove rejected characters from the list?

In most RPs, accepted characters are usually posted in the Characters Tab.

And you can edit your posts here in RoleplayerGuild. You can just remove rejected characters from your post by editing it. However, if it's posted on the Characters Tab (and not by you), it's there forever.

Typically, which sheets that are accepted and which are declined are dealt with in the OOC, so it'll be hard to find what you're looking for without scouring the OOC. A few RPs handle the discussion in the character tab, but I feel this is just messy. If you're looking to tell who is accepted, though, most RPs likely have some sort of list of accepted characters in either the 0th or first post in the character tab. Some use it to track applicants, too.

This is true unless the GM contacts a moderator to hide the post. That way no one but the GMs and RPG staff can see the post, therefore it is commonly seen as deleted since no one but those few can actually see the post.

Or that. Appeal to the site's gmods to conceal your posts, never to be seen again save them and you.

The perfect crime.

So the 'how to tell' bit tends to be more up to how individual thread leaders organize their first post and such. If they don't give the information, or don't put somewhere a message like "only post in characters tab once accepted", it's up to searching in the ooc to find out more.

Do most rps do this already where it's more of a standard expectation? Sheets gets posted in ooc first, discussed, then put in characters tab when approved?
Or is it more, Sheets get posted in characters, discussed in ooc, approved/not, and then it's up to organization on how that's displayed (or not displayed)?

Apologies if this post here is not the most well-written in my questions. It's 7 a.m. currently and I really should sleep... xD

It's mostly the first because the second option often leads to confusion.

Good. I thought the same thing about the second. Glad the first is the norm.

@DoomFlavored Oh yeah, it's almost a universal standard to post sheets in the OOC first, and then only in the Character tab once they're accepted. Different formats of RP like Jump-In can be different, but you don't really see those much.

Ooc to review.

Apcepted in the char tab.

Its the plain easiest way to do things.
Its simple. Most GM on site use said system and it takes no pestering mofd or so to hide or people to edit out posts etc.
