Sara hesitated in speaking as they walked, she gave a small nod.
"Okay." She started, a little quieter than usual. Her thoughts mulled inside her head slowly.
Was she really a worker? Or just a patient with special pass? Was what she was doing with Marc bad?

She trembled slightly and pulled her plush spider closer to her body as she moved her hand to the book in her side bag. Sara took a moment to close her eyes before she gave a small smile.
"If there's nothing for you to do tomorrow." She started, "Feel free to pop around my room, I'll probably be there if I'm not in a meeting or appointment." She said, "If... Vivian will allow you to do so of course."

Ari blinked as he asked why she was leaning against him.
"I'm against you?" She asked before she looked down at his shoulders before blinking slightly, "Oh! I'm touching you! Oh my gosh, How is this happening?" Ari looked up to Benjamin with a wide grin on her face, was she going to get a physical form like Dia?

Ari floated behind Benjamin, her hands slowly reaching out to gently touch Benjamins' back, she let out a gasp as her hands didn't go through his body. "No way!"

"Sure, I'll know where to find you," Marc said. He knew he could look up her appointments, and something would probably be mentioned at the meeting at the change of the shift. It wasn't a big place, it would be odd if he wouldn't see her all day.
He thought about how to do this; daypasses weren't handed out in this facility, something he had always found odd. But this was a specialized place where they treated the more difficult cases.

They got where the car was parked and Marc unlocked the door. "I had a great time today," he told her before getting in. "And we'll do this again sometime."

Benjamin listened to Ari's amazement and he felt her push against his back - faint, but the feeling was there. "You know, this is just a theory of course, but if the ability to have a shape depends on her mental state, I mean if she's unaware you two are reduced to orbs, then maybe when someone other than Ray is aware of your existence, that also affects you?"
It sounded like a wild guess, but at least it was a theory that explained both the events.

They reached his room and he opened the door. "I don't know what you want to do, but if you want to go back to Ray you may. She's probably not used to be alone and she doesn't have Dia with her now."
Speaking of which, where was Dia now?

Sara gave him a smile as they got to the car. "I'd like to do this more often." She said as she glanced up towards him, "I had a great time as well. This is the best fun I've ever had in my life."

Sara waited for him to unlock the car before she slipped inside the car and let out a soft sigh.

Ari nodded to Benjamin's words about people believing in her.
"It could be possible yeah!" She said with a bit of a grin, as they got into his room she floated around.

"Is that what happened to Dia?" She asked with a tilt of her head, at the mention of the going to see Ray.
"She needs to be asleep right now." She said with a small nod, "She deserves some rest without two other minds around her."

Once Sara was seated, Marc started the car and drove back to the asylum. He was glad that she had had a good time. That he was responsible for the best fun she ever had. It was sad too, that she had never experienced things like this before. That meant he had to make sure she would experience it again.

As he got closer to the asylum a part of him wanted to turn into another direction, but he knew he couldn't. So he just followed the road back to the building.

Benjamin shrugged at the question if that was what had happened to Dia. He didn't know; it was just a theory after all and there was no way to test it with just one person and two spirits.
"Okay, I can understand that. She hasn't been alone much, has she?" He didn't mind the company at all, so if Ari didn't need to leave she was welcome to stay.

Sara stayed to herself as they drove back to the Asylum, her smile fading as they got closer and closer. She watched as the compound got closer and closer, and she passed the stupid bright sign they had for the place, masking it's true intention inside.

She hugged her plush closer to her as she sat up and away from the window.
Vivian would take this away. She wasn't allowed outside things, this would easily count as one, right?

Ari nodded sadly at his question, "Yeah, we've been around her for a while. Dia longer than myself but she doesn't often get to sleep peacefully." She started as she moved to sit on Benjamin's bed, making the smallest dent against the sheets. "We kept around her to keep her safe... To keep us safe. We knew our memories would haunt her dreams but we never believed it would be this bad."

She wrung her hands quietly, "We've never really 'anchored' to anyone else before either." She added on at the end, giving a small smile towards Benjamin.

Marc stopped in front of the building and looked at the door. With the plants and the light colours the place looked like a good one. And he enjoyed working here. He turned to Sara. "Do you want me to walk with you to the desk?" he asked.
A part of him didn't want her to go inside; there she'd be a patient again.

But after today she wouldn't be a patient much longer; she had shown to be in control of her mental illness and, as far as he was concerned, she was capable of living in the society. As long as she would take her medication of course. But in the end that was up to the psychiatrist; he didn't have the authority or the proper education to make any decision in that regard.

Benjamin sat down on the bed as well. It was interesting to hear all that, not too hard to grasp either. If someone was willing to believe in spirits, which many people did not.
"Maybe we should look for Dia," he said, checking the time. "We still have a little time before everyone has to be in their beds."
The almost prison-like lights out mentality was one of the many things he disliked about this place. Almost everything here felt like a prison.

Sara looked over to Marc as he spoke. "I would love that," She started before she looked down to her lap. "But you probably have to head home." She said with a weak smile before she put her hand against the door handle.
"I'll hopefully see you tomorrow, Okay?" She asked as she opened the door to leave on her own.

Ari swayed her legs as she listened to Benjamin speak, she looked up and around for a moment before she gave a bit of a sigh.
"She is okay." She uttered quietly, "If anything happened to her, I would have felt it. She's close, Maybe in Rays room." She uttered with a bit of a smile.
"We can see her if you'd like." She continued, "I have noticed you seem to like her."

"I will definitely be here tomorrow," Marc said as he too got out of the car. Since she had replied with 'I would love that' to his question, he ignored her own idea of why he couldn't. Sure, he had to head home, but whether that would be now or in ten minutes made no difference.
He walked alongside her to the entrance of the building and used his card to open the door for her.
"Until tomorrow," he said to her. "And thank you for a nice date."

"I do," Benjamin said, who had no intention of hiding that. While he couldn't explain why he didn't try. People fell in love without pinpointing exactly why all the time. And he had fallen in love with a spirit, who just today got tangible. "Let's go."
As he walked to the door he glanced at Ari. "For me there is no difference in how I see you, do you think you're still invisible for others?"

Sara's eyes started to water as Marc stepped out to walk her to the building.
"No thank you. Thank you for everything. Tonight was amazing." She said before she looked back to him as the door opened.
She leaned over towards and gave Marc a small kiss on the cheek as she entered slowly.

Ari smiled towards Benjamin as he mentioned his feelings for Dia. "I'll make sure not to let it slip to Dia, if you'd like." She said with a chuckle.
She slipped off the bed as she went to follow Benjamin. She thought of his question quietly.
"I'm completely unsure!" She replied with a small smile, she liked being around Benjamin. He didn't see her as a monster like everyone else did. "No one seems to have paid attention in the Cafeteria."

As they neared Rays room, Ari moved to grab Bens arm and tugged against it slightly, pulling him towards the door. "In there."

Marc waited until Sara was inside before he turned back to his car. What an evening. And tomorrow he would see her again. It was odd thinking about it, but he had known Sara for as long as he had worked at that place, but he hadn't really known her. And now that he did he actually looked forward to work with her again.

He got in his car to drive home.

It was true no-one had noticed her in the cafeteria, but he wasn't sure when exactly she had started to get some mass. At one point, with enough mass, people probably would be able to notice her. It was still odd to be grabbed by a spirit, but he nodded to her and went to the door.
"Dia, are you in here?" he asked as he knocked. Barging in really was impolite after all.

Sara walked to the Desk and smiled to the new desk worker before she started her way to her room.
She had a feeling Vivian would probably come and grab her, she held the plush and the book close as she got to her room and pulled the door open and slipped inside.

She stepped into the darkness and hesitated on turning the light on as she walked to her bed and placed the book by her bed on her bedside table before she sat on the bed with the plush. She looked at the plush and pulled it close to her before she moved to lie down with a frown on her face.

Was she right to have feelings for Marc? Was she just stringing him along? Was it even right for her to have feelings for Marc?

"Come in." Dia spoke through the door, "I'm dressed, I'm just kinda... sitting here."
Ari floated through the wall and floated over to Dia and pulled her up into a hug. Dia blinked as Ari hugged her, moving to hug her back weakly.
"You can touch me." Dia uttered.
"Yeah! Isn't this great? I'll be like you soon!" She said with a bigger grin.

Benjamin entered the room and closed the door behind him. The theory about why it could be possible they both started to get mass was one he'd share later. He stayed back a bit as Dia and Ari hugged.
"Staff might get suspicious if you sit in Ray's room," he said, "especially when she's not here as she'll spend the night at the sickbay. Was Josh able to help?"

He still didn't like that person; it was hard to tell if he really was on their side. He seemed like the kind of guy that was on his own side and those were dangerous to trust. But they needed his help. Maybe they could find a trustworthy nurse too. Sara could probably help with that; she had mingled with the staff and could probably make a list of most trustworthy to least trustworthy. He decided to ask her in the morning.

Dia looked at Ari as they pulled away from each other, "I don't know if you'll be anything like me." She started, "I don't even know how I got like this." She said as she looked towards Benjamin with a small smile.
"He was as helpful as his damned existence can be, yeah." She said as she looked down at her nurse clothing, "He's got me in the system and the matching uniform but I don't know how they'll act."

Ari floated around Rays room, testing everything to see if she could move anything. She was too weak to move the bed, but she managed to lift the pillow up and threw it at Dia's face with a grin.

"Be vague about who you are," Benjamin replied. "Tell them you are new here and that you are excited about your first night. And if they ask why you aren't on the roster tell them you were asked to strengthen the team this morning and since you were unemployed you could start immediately. Just pretend to not know your way around yet or that you know them because you observed them from the shadows."

He watched Ari pick up the pillow and throw it. She may have been an aggressive spirit before, now there was no evidence of that. "I'll head back," he said. "if they catch us in an empty room we'll be in trouble. I'm not supposed to be here and you're not supposed to be with me in a room that is not mine with the door closed."

Dia gave a nod at Benjamin's words, moving to grab the pillow before it hit her before she tossed it back on the bed and moved towards the door.
"Ari, Stay with Ben." She said, almost an order. Ari nodded before she floated back towards Benjamin with a happy grin.
"I'm sure everything will be fine!" Ari said happily before she headed towards the door, turning back to Ben with a grin. "Come on!"

Dia felt herself just smiling in response to Ari, it was nice that she was close to someone, but she wasn't sure. She watched Benjamin carefully and glanced towards the direction of the Medbay as a frown etched onto her face.

Benjamin followed Ari, but before leaving the room he went to Dia to give her a kiss on the cheek. "Stay safe, we'll see each other in the morning again."
After that, he left the room, after making sure no-one of the staff was in the corridor, and he walked back to his room.
Knowing Dia could walk around made and look after Ray got rid of that worry, and he was certain Dia would be okay. That Josh was probably still around and he seemed to be on their side, for now at least.

"You're welcome to stay with me," Benjamin said, although after the order of Dia it didn't seem either of them had much to say in the matter, "but I would appreciate it if you'd give me some privacy when I change in my pyjama's."

Dia blinked as Benjamin kissed her, as he left she moved to gently touch her cheek where he kissed her before she moved to leave Rays room.
Benjamin's words swum in her head as she started to make her way to the med bay to check up on Ray, she was slightly unfocused as she almost worked into one of the other workers before she grinned and nodded her head as a sorry.

Ari nodded at Benjamin's words, "Of course!" She said with a grin, "I'll stand guard outside for you, Benny!" She grinned a bit more before she wriggled her floaty body with a bigger grin.

"I haven't seen you this happy before," Benjamin said. Not that he knew her that long, but still. It was nice to see someone was able to be happy in this awful place.
He didn't think he would need a guard - no-one had tried to kill him during the night so far - but it was nice to know she cared enough to suggest it.

He looked up when the door opened and a nurse brought in his night-time medication.
"Thanks, I already had my portion today," Benjamin said.
"You need this four times a day," she reminded him.
He reluctantly took the cup and watched her.
"Since you are labelled as a refuser I have to see you take them."
"Then we can stand here all night," Benjamin replied as he put the cup on his nightstand. "Good night, I'm going to sleep now. And if you wish to stand in the doorway all night: be my guest." He turned around, grabbed his pyjamas and went to the small bathroom to change.

The nurse left, she knew she couldn't force him to take them, but she would report it.

Ari looked around Benjamins room as he spoke to her, "I haven't been this happy in a while." She replied before she floatwalked towards the door before it opened with the nurse.
She sneered and the nurse but stepped out of the way from the two of them as Benjamin and the Nurse interacted.

She watched carefully before she floated around the nurse, checking for any sort of pockets that she could try and secretly rummage around.
She pulled her hand back before moving to see if she could push it through the nurse as Benjamin left to get changed.

The nurse walked away just before Ari could touch her, shaking her head. She left the pills on the nightstand in the hopes Benjamin would have a change of heart and take them. Maybe he'd have a scary hallucination and would welcome the opportunity to get rid of it.
Still, she knew he wouldn't get better this way and that was sad. Here she was working hard to make patients follow the therapy that would heal them and they refused. It happened more often and it was both sad and frustrating. In the end all patients complied though, she was sure it would only take some time.

When Benjamin was done in the bathroom he returned and noticed the nurse had left but the pills were still there. It didn't bother him they were there.
"I guess she didn't want to stand in my room all night then," he commented with a grin.
